Ipod Dock: Stereo Speakers Buzz - Please Help!

I just bought an Ipod dock to connect my Ipod to my microsystem through the auxiliary input. When I play the iPod through the stereo, I get a prominent buzzing sound through the speakers - very annoying. I suspect it's a grounding problem, but not sure. Can anyone provide any suggestions?

iPod 20GB and Dock

Check the following, one by one until the buzzing sound disappears
1. Try to plug your iPod to the microsystem through the iPod's headphone jack instead of dock
2.Try another cable (between dock and microsystem)
3. Try the another auxiliary input of your microsystem
4. Try to unearth the groud of the microsystem's power cord

  • Can't sync speakers.  Please help!

Any advice? Thanks! Info: Creative D200 speakers. Called Creative and they c/n help. They said to contact Apple. I've followed all connectivity instructions but my macbook and the speakers will not connect. The speakers are listed on the computer's Bluetooth Device page. Under System Preference in Bluetooth it says:
    Device Name: Creative D200
    Device Address: 00-02-3c-25-74-59
    Device Type: Audio
    Device Services:
    Paired: Yes
    Configured: Yes
    Favorite: Yes
    Connected: No

Hi there!  I got to this page via Google so thought I'd leave a reply on how I finally got the Creative Bluetooth speakers to work with my Macbook Air:
When I first tried to setup the speakers, I had my macbook connected to a flatscreen TV and I believe this is what was causing the problem.  For some reason, the macbook was only recognizing the computer or the TV as possible audio output options.  Once I disconnected the TV, the setup for the Creative worked; kinda.  I removed the device then rediscovered it again.  While it showed as connected, no sound was coming from the speaker.  I paused the song on iTunes, fiddled with the sound volumes, and then it suddenly started to work.  I reconnected the TV and the macbook now recognizes the Creative as the preferred audio output.
From a use standpoint, the sound works and the speakers are better than using my macbook speakers or the TV speakers.  I still prefer my JBL iPod dock as the sound is better, but considering that ports are changing and a bluetooth speaker can serve a lot of purposes, the Creative speakers were a good, reasonably priced buy.

  • I locked myself out of my ipod touch for 60 mins then actually typed the wrong password in again.  Now it is telling me to "connect to itunes".  I am unsure how to do this.  I am unable to use my ipod at all now. Please help.

    Hi,
Due to my brother locking me out of my ipod touch I had to wait an hour to log in again.  Unfortunately when I did this, I, again put in the wrong password twice more, each time locking me out for a further 60 minutes.  On my 3rd attempt to log in the wrong password was entered again.  This time though instead of logging me out for another 60mins it now tells me to "connect to itunes" but I have no idea how to do this and I am now unable to use my ipod.  Please help.

  • New software update for iPod touch 4th generation? PLEASE HELP!!

Ok so here is the problem: I have the iPod touch 4th generation with software version 4.3 (I have had my iPod for about 7 months) and recently within the past week or so I have started experiencing multiple crashes with many different various apps and games. Just random games crashing and then I noticed it happening with the Facebook app and even Safari on my iPod! I had to get off of my iPod and come on the computer to type this message out because Safari would crash every single time I tried to type this on my iPod! So at first I figured it was the apps and games' problems, but then as more and more began to crash, like Facebook and Safari, I figured it is the Apple software version 4.3 acting up. So I was wondering, is Apple working on a new software update for iPod touch 4th gen.? Or is this a rare problem? Is there anyone out there having this same problem? Or anyone at all that can PLEASE help me?! MANY THANKS!
    - Sam Amos

No one would know what Apple is working on, unless they announce, which they very rarely do.
Have you tried the basics from the manual?
    restart.
    reset.
    restore.

  • On my THIRD iPod Touch aka " Mr. Freeze" Please Help!!!

I got my first 16GB iPod touch back in November and it was GREAT! I never had any function problems at all. It always tuned on , turned off , charged , synced , slept , and played just as it was supposed to. Then after about 2 months the left channel audio started cutting out . So I made a service request and sent it off to AppleCare where they quickly identified the problem and replaced my iPod with a different one.
Now the first night I had this replacement iPod it froze up on me and would not do anything until I held the home and Power button for 5 seconds until it restarts. This became a daily ritual. EVERYDAY I would go to use this iPod and it would be frozen , you could look at the screen under direct light and see that the screen was not completely off , you could not see pictures or backgrounds just different shades of black blocks and bars accross the screen vertically. And while it is in the frozen state is drains the battery VERY quickly. I can finish using the iPod at the end the end of the day with at least 75% battery left , turn it off and go home and check it 2 hours later and it will be frozen and when I get it to restart the battery is in the RED. When it is in this frozen state connecting it to the computer does nothing , the computer will not see it at all as long as it is frozen. It tried the 5 R's to every extent with no positive results.
So I got frusterated and made another service request and sent it off to AppleCare to be "Serviced". They said their technicians could find nothing wrong with it , that it met all of Apples quality control guidelines and function as expected by Apple , so they sent is back to me. It arrived to me FROZEN again!
So I tried to use it as was for about another month and decided you know what my first touch NEVER did anything like this in the 2 months I had it so I know it doesn't have to be this way. So I made another service request for this same (my 2nd) touch. Only this time I sent copies of a letter explaining every detail of the problems , and insisting that they either repair/replace or refund my money. Funny enough this time they iddentified and issue with it and replaced it with what is now my 3rd iPod touch.
Now this 3rd Touch does not do what the second one does. I does something NEW. it keeps going into RECOVERY mode , whatever the **** that is , so I will go to use it and it will not function nor turn on and when I connect it to my computer it says iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode and it must be restored before it can be used! So this morning I got up for work ejected the touch from my PC , it had been charging , slid the slider to unlock it and verified it was charged and ready to go abnd then turned the screen off and drove to work. Fifteen minutes later I go to turn the music on and it is stuck in recovery mode. Now I have really had it!!! If it's not annoying enough that this has to keep happening all my music is on my PC at home. So I plug it in to my PC at work and its says it has detected an iPod in recovery mode and must be restored, so I can restore it but then there is no Music on it until I can get back home to resync it with my home PC. So for the entire rest of the day I have and iPod that is no longer frozen , but also has NO content on it!This happens once maybe twice a week , not near as frequent as the last replacement Touch they sent me and it seems to be a different issue also , but still a problem just the same.
I don't understand why this keeps happening?!?! All the content is the same accross all 3 Touch's I have had. My usage remains the same for all 3. Nothing has changed accept the Firmware version between the three. The first touch was 1.1.2 the second was 1.1.3 and the third is 1.1.4.
And of course I never had any problems until I purchased the January Software Upgrade POS. Is it possible that the JSU is causing all of this? Is there a way to remove the JSU off of this Touch or would I have to revert back to 1.1.2 Firmare? And if so can it be done? If I have to do that and it is indeed the problem can I obtain a refund for the JSU because it CRIPPLES the iPod??
PLEASE help , any advice is greatly appeciated! Thanks
    -Cody

Well, I am VERY particular about keeping my electronics MINT. I have never not used a protective case and I have to say it is almost heart breaking to imagine the scratchs my Touch will have on that shiny back after just one day without a case...........but I am desperate. I must say I really do love my Touch. It is my 15th Media player and beyond all comparison the best Media Player I have ever owned and I am willing to do whatever is necessary to remedy this situation and be able to use my Touch as intended once again.
What gripes me the most is that I paid premium price for this iPod Touch and it has virtually no Tech support. It baffles me. I had ONE tech support phone call available within 90 days and I used it on the first Touch so now I can't phone tech support , you cannot e-mail tech support , my only option is to place a service request and send it to AppleCare and you can't give a decent description of the problem even then because you are limited to 200 characters and I am damned tired of sending it back and forth. Is it really so hard to offer decent Tech support for these $400 and $500 Media Players? Dozens of other manufactures manage to do it so why can't Apple? They've got an AMAZING product , why not give it AMAZING support? Thats all I'm saying.

  • Brand new ipod touch suddenly stopped working. please help!

I was messing around on my brand new ipod touch and it suddenly crashed. it flashed a static-y black and now the screen is bluish white and won't change. I tried holding both the home button and the black button on top of the ipod and neither helped. I even connected it back to my mac book but nothing happened. please help! i've only had it for two days!

That sounds like a mechanical problem.  You might want to insert and remove the headphone plug several times and see if it fixed the issue.  If it does not, call Apple.  800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and I think Canada.

  • My PC Freezes when I plug in my IPod Nano!!! Please HELP!!!!

Hello, I just bought a refurbished ipod nano and everything works fine until I plug it into my computer I do not know what to do please help me.
P.S. If this has been brought up already I am sorry I didn't have time to search for it.
    Thanx

Same problem. Im running on a sony vaio and everything just stops working until i unplug my ipod. I'm really getting annoyed with this. I even tried running it through winamp, and that froze even worse. Im able to close all the windows and whatnot, but when i try to terminate an application through task manager, it doesnt go away until i unplug my ipod, meaning i cant restart itunes without unplugging my ipod. then i unplug and it works fine. then i plug back in and it freezes up again!

  • Unreadable music on iPod - music marked as 'other' PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Please help!!! I connected my iPod today to upload some new music files and something appears to have gone wrong. I can't 'see' any of my music at all on the iPod OR on iTunes. The iPod Summary Screen on iTunes (ver 7) shows that there is over 20GB of information marked as 'other' on my iPod, plus my photos and videos, but it shows no music at all. Naturally, I could restore the factory settings and re-upload all my music from my external hard drive, but obviously I would prefer not to do so because it would mean a huge amount of time. Is there any suggestion as to how I might be able to force iTunes to recognise the music files on the iPod WITHOUT a restore? I have tried a 'soft' restore on the iPod unit itself but alas with no success. If there is anything that can be suggested I would be very, very grateful. Thanks, Sam

Quite honestly, in the amount of time that it's taken you to get answere here, you could have restored it and reloaded the music!!
    That's the way to go.

  • IPod not detected as iPod by computer or iTunes, please help

    Hello everyone!
When connecting my iPod Nano 2nd Gen via USB to my computer (win XP) it recognizes it as a "mass storage device", and iTunes won't detect it as an iPod.
I went through many of the tutorials on this website, and formatted my iPod, re-installed the USB device and completely removed and then reinstalled iTunes (which is the latest version - 7)
Can you guys please help me on getting my iTunes to recognize my iPod so I can transfer files to it?
    Thanks!
    Tom
    P.S.
It used to be my sister's, and she claims to have been transferring files to the iPod directly (dragging files, not using iTunes) and that it also worked and she was able to listen to music and stuff, until one day where she tried to listen to music and it said "disc empty".
As of now when clicking on music it says "disc empty" (quite obvious though because I formatted)
Can't restore my iPod either since it requires it to be recognized by iTunes first...

    Hey
First of all thank you for replying
Following that tutorial I could not find the registry values it wanted me to delete, however I did find it via the "Search" option in Regedit. Is it safe to remove it from there? Or could there be other values with the same names as the ones I was supposed to delete?
