Ipod touch 5 damange - audio

on ipod touch 5, I lost one audio channel in both headphones and bluetooth, is there any tool to fix o check any audio damange?

Try the following to rule out a software problem
- Check also Settings > General > Accessibility > Hearing. Make sure that the sound balance is not set all the way to "R".
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a hardware problem.

  • IPod touch looses audio in left channel when cable moves

Whenever I slightly nudge any headphone cable up or to the left on my ipod touch the audio on the left channel completely goes silent. I sent my ipod touch in for a replacement, but Apple says they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I specifically told them what the problem is with this iPod and they neglected to listen to the customer's experience with the product, which I might add is still under the manufacturers warranty.
The audio is fine when the headphone cable is completely still, but whenever it moves slightly up or to the left with the tiniest nudge against my pants, finger, etc it looses audio in the left channel. Seeing how Apple fails to satisfy an angry customer, I will now turn to the forum as you are the last hope at saving this piece of garbage. Do you know of any fixes?
I worked hard to get this overpriced piece of junk and it craps out on me after a year. I will never by an Apple product again (seeing also how my other two ipod 5 generation videos both had hardware failure as well).

u have to get a new jack if u do not want it i will take it and get it fixed this has happend to me many times

I want to test my Face Time re: no audio with facetime, but I dont have friends who have an Ipod Touch 4 or Iphone 4, can anybody help me out?
You can test with me if you like. Click my name at left to find my FaceTime contact info. I only use the email address there for FaceTime, so there is no need to send email. Simply get my FaceTime contact info and call when you want to test FaceTime. Best time to test with me is 14:00 GMT - 03:00 GMT. I answer test calls whenever I am available, so try later if I miss you.

  • My ipod touch 4g audio and video is totally not working. Updated the ipod with the latest version and also tried to restore it several times and that didnot work. Sound system is totally not working. plzzzz help..

My ipod touch stopped playing videos and music for the past three days rest all are working fine.
I doubt the sound system is gone. i tried restoring it several times. I havent mishandled it. Few days back there was audio distortion and slowness so i upgraded to the iOS 5 but the audio/ video doesnt work.  Alerts ,sounds ... donot work..Please help me out...

Try a restore to factory defaults/new iPod.  If still problem then you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Pressing on screen of Ipod touch for audio.

So I had a cracked ipod touch screen (2nd gen) and I watched some repair vids. I ordered a new screen and popped it in. Only problem is that now the audio is really quiet unless I press on the bottom right corner of the screen. Any advice?

I have seen the videos too. It appears that you either have a loose connection of your broke one of the conductors and touching the screen just right closes the connector. I would carefully open it up and with an insulate probe touch various ares to see if you can restore the audio and thus know the problem are so you can hopefully fix it.

  • IPod Touch 4 - Audio Recording

Was looking at the latest iPod Touch (I have iPhone 3G at present), and was wondering if this device can record audio from an external source whilst shooting video.
Does the 3.5mm jack also work as a line-in?
    TIA.

Thanks for the reply, and hopefully someone can give a definitive answer.
I am considering a Kodak Zi8 for YouTube recordings, but seeing as my iPhone 3G is hideously slow with iOS4, I figured the latest Touch could satisfy both requirements (if the Touch has external mic/line-in that is).

  • 4g iPod Touch support audio line-in?

I am interested in using the video camera on the new 4th generation iPod Touch but I am concerned about the quality of the built-in microphone, particularly for music. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to use the headphone port in order to get audio in and override the built-in mic. If not, it would be great if anyone knew of a dock connector audio-in adapter.

thanks anna... but that's only half of what i want to do. i need a cable that also allows me to connect a microphone.
so on one end, it will have a minijack with FOUR rings (not three like a normal headphone jack). on the other end of the cable there should be two sockets - one of them a socket for a stereo cable like the one you showed, and the other a socket for a mono microphone.
that way, i can have sound going into AND coming out from the ipod simultaneously, all through the one cable.

  • TS2771 iPod touch has audio but the screen is black.

My ipod touch turns on I can hear it go on but the screen stays black. I helled the top and bottom buttons together and restored it but it still does not work.

Have you tried plugging it in and letting it charge for at least half an hour?  If still no sign of life, have you tried a hard reset to see if that makes a difference as well?  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together anywhere from 15 seconds to a minute.
Don't be afraid to try the reset procedure more than once.

You can try the standard fixes.

  • Audio-video out of sync on iPod Touch 5G

My iPod Touch 5G audio to video is out of sync.

    1) Video's inside Facebook can have the audio lead the video by 15 secs.
    2) Video live Apple product event feeds can start with 2 1/2 mins with audio ahead of video and gets more spread out as time goes on. As much as 5 minutes apart towards end of live feed event.

  • Why do my iPod Touch video recordings have an audio delay?

When I record videos with my iPod Touch, the audio doesn't match up with the video. I hear the sound, and then see what happened after. How do I fix this? Why is this happening? In the mean time, can I compensate for it in iMovie? Thanks, Brian

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
When it says place the iPod in recovery mode, use this program instead of the buttons.
RecBoot: Easy Way to Put iPhone into Recovery Modecharging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • What eq settings should i use for my ipod touch if i am using a car cassette cd adapter

i have found a cheaper way to listen to my ipod touch in my new 1999 cadillac catera is to use a casette adapter that you would use if you wanted to use a portable cd player in a car (although mine already has a cd player in it)
however my problem is that the audio for coming out of the speakers sounds a but tinny, and rough, i tried to use the eq settings (treble booster) and sound check to alevate the problem, and while it is marginally bettter now, the audio still sounds very rough and tinny
my question to all you apple experts is that if someone wanted to use a car cd casette adapter with their ipod touch, what audio settings does he/she need to use in order to make it sound right (meaning just like if you were using speakers at home or your headphones)

The appropriate MPEG2-DVD preset should suffice.

  • App will not download on to the iPod Touch

Hi all i tried to put a new App that i have in my iTunes, App uses 1.27GB : My 16GB iPod Touch has
    Audio 11.89GB space used
    Photos 1.5MB space used
    Apps 1.8MB space used
    Other 199.9MB space used
    Fee space left 2.43GB
1st Question is - What is the Other?
2nd Question is - it's only 1.27GB with 2.43GB free it should download on i would think, why not?
Message i get is - NOT ENOUGH FREE SPACE

Other is weird stuff and usually decreases when the iPod is synced. Based on iPad experience, frequently storage space on the iPad is not reclaimed (even though it says it is available) when items are deleted via the iPad. The storage space is reclaimed upon syncing. Maybe the same applies to the iPod.

  • Power drain on new iPod touch

I charged my 5 day old iPod Touch last night and disconnected it at about 11:30 pm. I left for work at 8:00 after checking stock prices. I did not turn off the Touch.
At about 10:00 I plugged in the headphones. At about 11:00 I tried to turn the Touch on, and only got a black screen. Nothing would turn on the Touch.
I then did the reset and the Touch reset then up as expected except it said I had only 10% of the battery left.
Has anyone else experienced a 90% battery drain for no apparent reason?

  • Video podcast syncs to iPod touch, but can't be found afterwards?

I have a number of podcasts on my iTunes. When these sync to my 3rd Generation IPOD Touch, the audio podcasts show up in the podcast list on the IPOD, but I have to search for the video podcasts as they are not on in any of the folders. This started happening when I upgraded to ios 5. Does anynoe else have this problem? Is there a fix?

Did you check under Videos icon instead of under Music icon?
