IPod Touch for my boys @ xmas
Hi
I bought my son's iPod touches for xmas and want them to have there own apple ID but i want to control the spending when they buy music, apps etc - problem is the boys are 10, 9 & 5, so ineligible!
I have created there own email address via live.co.uk.
Any tips on how to credit there account?
I also want to use face time but i guess by having email addresses thats easy to set up.

They would have to be at least 13 yrs of age to have their own Apple iD associated with an email account.

You will need to sync the iPods to your account using iTunes using your credit or debit card credentials for purchasing media.
Any tips on how to credit there account?

I've had I iPod touch for two years and have find my iPhone on it. I've lost it and now when I try to look for it it says my Apple ID is valid but does not have an icloud account. Like I said I set it all up when I first got it and use it a few times why won't it work now and is there some way to reassociate it with my ID. Is there somewhere my info is stored?
Do you another Apple device that is eligible for an iCloud account and is using that iCloud account?

I suspect not and that the iPod has been restored and thus your account removed for the iPod. Then you iCloud account was deleted since you not longer have a device using it. -

I bought a new ipod touch for my wife, I put my Apple Id in to activate it, b/c we were not home, now that we are home I would like to set up a account (apple) of her own, so that it won't be interfering with my account. thanks for your help.
Why not just erase the iPod and start over, using her Apple ID. Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, then you can start over with the initial setup of the device.
Alternatively, your Apple ID may have been entered in:
Settings > iCloud
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
Settings > FaceTime
Settings > iTunes & App Stores
Sign out of your ID in these menus and sign in with your wife's Apple ID. -
I have purchased an iPhone 4s 2 years ago and recently purchased an iPod touch for my husband while he was abroad working. I used the same Apple ID when setting up the iPod touch but now I want to know how I can have two separate Apple IDs. One for his iPod touch and one for my iPhone?
Create a new ID and start using it.
You will not be able to transfer your existing purchases and updates will require knowing the password for the old ID. -
I'm using iPod touch for a year now. It was doing fine this morning but in the afternoon suddenly when I took it out of my bag, the screen was just black and it wouldn't turn on and stuff. So I thought it didn't have battery so I charged it didn't work. I plugged to the computer and it said iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before in can be used with iTunes.
Maybe my bag was little wet today but i don't think that is why.. since it wasn't that bed.. just some paper was wet and stuff..

I have been trying to restore my ipod touch for several weeks. The ipod is on the usb-itunes screen but the computer will not recognize it. I have tried three different laptops and am now very frustrated. I have also tried several different usb connectors.
Try putting the iPod in DFU Mode vs. Recovery Mode.

Does anyone know if I could return my 1st gen ipod touch for the 2nd gen or even give it to them and get money off the 2nd gen? ... and the second generation Touch doesn't have a mic anyway. Chris will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe, if you want to use a mic-dependant App on a 2nd gen Touch, then you need to buy a headphone/mic combination to plug in instead of standard headphones. I don't know +at all+ about the 3rd gen.
Non-mic Apps can run on a 1st gen Touch if you purchase the software upgrade, but whether that also includes mic-Apps, well, once again, I don't know. (Not much I do know really, is there? )
Perhaps you need to consider how much you need mic dependant Apps before rushing into the major expense of a Touch which may not actually meet your needs. There's always the iPhone of course.

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

My charger broke so I gave my sister the charger, and my iPod touch for proof. She took it to the apple store and traded it for an iPhone 5c. I was wondering if apple can do something for me so I could get my ipod back?
I have no idea what you meant by giving your sister your "iPod touch for proof". Proof of what?
The only way she could have traded it was recycling it for 10% off the cost of a new device but the Apple Store doesn't do this as far as I know for iPhones. You could take the receipt for your iPhone to the Apple Store and show it to the manager but you really need to solve this within your family. -
