ipod wont turn on all i see is the apple sign then my ipod shuts off again, how to fix it?
Connect it to itunes, and see if itunes recoginizes it.
If not, then hold home and the power button to do a soft reset.
If not, then you will need to go into recovery mode.
To get into recovery mode you need to Hold Power + Home at the same time. After it goes blank, continue holding the home button while releasing your finger from the Power Button.
You should be able to do it. Otherwise, you may need to send your Ipod in for repair.
NOTE - Using recovery on your Ipod will erase all data and reset all settings.

TS1383 my ipod wont turn or charge it just flases the apple when plugged in
My ipod will not turn on. When I plug it in to the computer to charge it will not do anything, it just flashes the apple sign it also will not pull up the itunes like it normally does. HELP
First, try a Restore. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here. -

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

AS soon as I turn on the the mac, the apple start up screen is intitated and then it simply shuts off. I am not sure what to do.....any advise?
.. be sure the power adpater is supplying power to your Mac. Do you see the green LED on the magnetic plug? If not, the power cord could be disconnected at the adpater block.
.. next, reset the SMC for your Mac.
.. you can try to start your Mac in Recovery mode.. as you restart, press the "R" button until it boots. And go from there. -
Iphone won't come on all i see is the apple sign
iphone wont come on all it does is show the apple sign
Hello treasy,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone.
I recommend following steps 2-6 below for the issue you described:
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

If you get to step 5, I recommend backing up your iPhone before performing the restore:

Put your iPhone into recovery mode as described here. You may have to try to enter recovery mode more than once to succeed.

Tried Resetting, Now all I see is the APPLE logo and loading
Ok so here it is....I bought a used original iphone of a friend of mine. On my way home, I decided to reset the iphone to its original settings....now its been like 6 hours....and all I see is the apple logo, then it tries to load and it stays that way....then it blinks and the apple logo comes on again. Is there anything I can do??
You should put the phone into DFU mode and restore it in iTunes.
To put your phone in DFU mode:
1. connect the phone to a computer with iTunes
2. Hold the home button and sleep/wake button simultaneously for 8 seconds.
3. Let go of the sleep/wake button and continue holding the home button
4. If successful a dialog box will appear in iTunes that states that an iPod was detected in recovery mode. The phone's display will remain black.
5. Click ok in the dialog box, then click restore
After that the phone should be functional.
I hope this helps. -

My iMac turns on the start up chime sounds, you see the apple icon on the screen and then it just shuts off. Any ideas?
Do these two resets:
SMC RESET
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
Wait 15 seconds.
Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
The 5 second timing is important to a successful reset.
PRAM RESET
Zap the PRAM
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
