Iprocurement punchout category mapping R12

Hi,
I am experiencing some problems on setting the category mapping for Punchout (XML) in Oracle
Iprocurement.
I have
1) setup a content zone for the punchout. In the content zone the key1 and supplier have the same value (i.e. TEST01)
2) Created a store and connected the content zone to the store.
I tried to do a requisition and I receive the message that the category XYZ is not configured for Purchasing.
Is it expected as I need to define the category mapping.
As per user guide the mapping should be performed in XML gateway. For Example if I have
the cateogory ABC in Oracle, according to metalink and userguide i should do something like this:
Category: Item_category
Direction: IN
Key 1: TEST01 (Supplier Name)
Internal Value: ABC
External 1: XYZ
External 2: NULL
My problem is that in Rel 12 the form has changed and there is no documentation for it, basically on metalink it says
to refer to the documenation to R11. The new form has the following field
Category Code: Item_category
Standard Code: ?????
Oracle Value: ABC
Description: Optional
From trading partner value: XYZ.
So my issues are the following.
a) What should I put in Standard Code (Lov is UNIVERSAL, CXML etc)
b) Where is the old key1 field? How can now oracle identify that I want to do the mapping for that specific supplier?
Should i put the supplier in standard code?
I really do not understand.
I tried many combinations and none of them works.
please kindly help
Francesco

As unsaid. the functionality is the same as per rel 11. We where using a customized responsibility and I was accessing a similar form, but not the right one!

  • GL Account/Product category mapping not working in transported client

We have implemented SRM 5 and an Ecc 6.0 backend.
We have transported the GL Account /Product category mapping config from the DEV client to the Quality client. In the quality client we run BDLS to set the correct backend system for the GL account/product category mapping.
When we create a shopping cart, GL accounts are not determined. We have noticed that in table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT, the backend system is still pointing to the DEV client backend system not the quality client backend system. Why is this?
Do we have to always manually reset this config in every client that we transport this table if we have new or changed entries?

  • Punchout Catalog product category - Default product category mapped

    Hi,
Currently we are getting default product category even though punchout catalog is sending different prooduct categories?
We are using UNSPSC categoires and even punchout categories also same but default product category is coming not the punch out product category. Please note that if i click on Describe requirement then one default product category is coming up so same product category is coming for punch out catalog items.
Can you please give me some idea how this is picking up.
    thanks

  • Iprocurement Punchout 11i.5.10.2

My client has a requirement to Punchout from Dell.
    Questions
    1. What should be the best approach punchout directly from supplier store or Puchout via Oracle exchange(is Dell store setup on Oracle Exchange?)
    2. Are their any other best practise punchout models ? Which is better Exchange over Direct punchout?
    3. Also how is the product price managed for both model of punchout for that specific buying company.?
    4. Also most like supplier category,UOM needs to me mapped ecommerce gateway?
    5. Any Br100 setup link guide etc will be appreciated...
    Thanks Charan

Thank you Sandeep for quick response. 1. lets say if I use direct punchout to supplier store- Is there any firewall, security restriction? 2. Does direct punchout still look at the mapping done at Oracle gateway 3. During implementation/testing will Dell give us access to their test store? 4. Certificate considerations 5. Can these task be done by functional guys or DBA,network help will be required? 6 Is there a good doc. to setup direct punch out besides the implementaion guide. Thanks again. Charan

  • IProcurement over DMZ in R12

    Hi,
We have a requirement to implement iProcurement for external users over DMZ. I have followed the note
Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Configuration in a DMZ [ID 380490.1] and implemented Option 2.2: Using Separate Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 Web Tiers (without reverse proxy or load balancer).
I have plethora of doubts on taking this forward after DMZ configuration
    1. Now what setups needs to be done for iProcurement ?
    2. Is iProcurement and iSupplier portal both same ?
    3. What URL do I need to expose externally (for iRec it is http://hostname:port/OA_HTML/IrcVisitor.jsp, like wise what can be there for iProcurement )
    My Env:
    Red hat Linux , 11g R2, EBIZ R12
Following notes are only little useful

I have created a DMZ server.
    With note,

I changed the mentioned profile options and ran the specified script (even through the note is for 11i)
Now, what next should I do? Where can I check the things ? To what external page users should access ?

  • Product Category mapping from Punch-out to Shopping Carts

    Hi,
We are implementing Punch-Out catalogs. We are on SRM_SERVER 550 and SP 11.
Product Category brought from field 'MATGROUP' field of structure 'CATALOG_CONTENT' in BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER is picked up and wrote our own logic for mapping it with the available UNSPSC codes either at Family level or Segment level. The nearest available UNSPSC code is picked up and passed to output structures ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA and ET_SC_ITEM_DATA in the field 'CATEGORY_ID'.
This is tested by putting external debugging points and found to be working fine.
However when transferring data to Shopping carts, the default Product Category for User ID is shown up instead of the one from output of BADI BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER.
Please let me know if i am doing correct or any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks
    Venkat

even we had the same issue -->
please note that category in SRM system has both category id and also category guid
so , you need to retrieve --> the guid of the category using the FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_CATEGORY_GET_GUID'
            EXPORTING
              category_id   = category_id
            IMPORTING
              category_guid = iv_comm_cat
            EXCEPTIONS
              NOTHING_FOUND = 1
              OTHERS        = 2.
and then assign as shown below
    wa_bbp_oci_enritem-category = iv_comm_cat.
    and then modify ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA

  • IProcurement Punchout catalog

    Dear all
Thru Punchout catalog we can link any Supplier Site or thru oracle exchange.com
Is it possible to link any sites doing similar activity of exchange.com...say Tejari.com?
Also I am still looking for a valid document on the punchout set up..
    Thanks
    Ravisankar

    Hi,
Your system is probably using "realms" to give access to different stores (punchout catalogs) to different responsibilities/users. Please add the missing store/punchout catalog to the realm assigned to the responsibility where you are not able to view the store.
Please refer the following article for more details http://tenthsense.blogspot.com/2011/09/oracle-iprocurement-realms.html

  • Unable to view source INTERNAL for Inventory Item in iProcurement R12.1.3

I have setup an Inventory Item but when querying it in iProcurement and clicking 'Click here to select a source' does not display INTERNAL as a source. I am not sure if I have missed something in the setup. The item has an on-hand quantity of 8 so I would think the option for Internal would be visible. The item is set to Purchasable, and Internal Ordered. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

    Hi,
2 more things to be done to make the item available in iProcurement:
    1. Populate the list price in the Purchasing tab.
    2. make sure the category mapping exists in iProcurement Catalog Administration.

  • Issue in Punchouts from Supplier Site

    Hi,
In 11.5.10 instance I have created a punchout of a supplier.
    To achieve this
    1) created punchout of supplier
    2) added it to Store
    3) created mappings in E com gateway for Item category code.
When I go back to Req form I get an error.
"The item cannot be added to the cart .The category code is not configured for purchasing."
I have checked the set ups in Purchasing Super User->Item -> Item Categories. the category code is present there and is added to the Category set also.
When I go to iPRoc Catalog Administration Respon and see there I can see Mapping of Purchasing Category with Mapping of Iprocurement Category also present.
Can anyone please let me know why I am geting this error that "The category code is not confugred for purchasing.".Is any other setup missing?
    Thanks

    HI Dash,
Thanks for your reply. When I am checking the mapping of Purchasing Category against iprocurement, I can see that purchasing Category is mapped to "Bushings" Which is the shopping Category. I can see the setup of iprocurement(shopping ) category also in iprocurement catalog administrator->Manage Item Categories by name "Bushings". I can see that it has a key associated to it, Now how can i relate it , I am not able to understand. the UNSPSc code which I have received from Supplier has description as "Bushings". SO this is how can we relate or is their any other way to do that in Ebiz suite
    Thanks

  • How to populate item category tree with UNSPSC codes?

I have created an application engine to read a UNSPSC code csv file and execute a component interface to load the item categories. I am having a problem updating the tree we use in ePro. Do I need to set up something before I run this? It looks like you can't add nodes if the category doesn't exist and you can't add categories to the tree if the node doesn't exist. We do not have Catalog Management installed.

    Dear Friend,
I am new to the iProcurement functionality of mapping UNSPSC code to Item Category Flex field Segments.
Please help me how this functionality works.
Does Oracle provide any standard way to map the codes to flex field.
    Do we need a customization.
Any useful documentation will be really helpful.
    Thanks in advance
