IPV6 DHCP : Active Clients always zero 0

Hello All,
I have configure IPV6 DHCP by using below mentioned configuration, all my LAN PCs are getting IPV6 correctly and internet is also running well.
But if run this command on Router, so it shows Active Clients are always zero 0.
R1# sh ipv6 dhcp pool
DHCPv6 pool: DHCP_POOL
  DNS server: 2001:470:ab::cd
  Domain name: abc.com
  Active clients: 0
R1# sh ipv6 dhcp binding --> also show empty result.
Can anyone please tell me the reason .
MY CONFIGURATION:
ipv6 unicast-routing
ipv6 dhcp pool DHCP_POOL
dns-server 2001:470:ab::cd
domain-name abc.com
interface FastEthernet0/0
no ip address
speed 100
full-duplex
ipv6 address 2400:FC00:ab::/64 eui-64
ipv6 nd prefix 2400:FC00:ab::/64
ipv6 nd other-config-flag
ipv6 dhcp server DHCP_POOL
ipv6 route ::/0 2400:FC00:ab::1
int fa0/0 is directly connected to my LAN Switch.
Regards,

Ok , the problem solved by changing the configuration in this way. Now it is showing Active clients and Bindings.
I will try your method too, to just add ipv6 nd managed-config-flag in my previous config.
But i am still confused which configuratrion is better and which technique to use ??
My previous config was stateless , is my new config is stateful ??
My NEW Configuration:
ipv6 unicast-routing
ipv6 cef
ipv6 dhcp pool DHCP_POOL
address prefix 2400:FC00:ab::/64 lifetime infinite infinite
link-address 2400:FC00:ab::2/64
dns-server 2001:470:ab::cd
domain-name abc.com
interface FastEthernet1/0

ipv6 address 2400:FC00:ab::2/64
ipv6 enable
ipv6 nd managed-config-flag
ipv6 dhcp server DHCP_POOL

  • DHCP Connected Clients

    Hello!
    I would like to ask if there is any possibility to detemine all active computers connected to network. I have Windows Server 2008 r2 with DHCP and wold like to know who is connected at given time. All clients have reserved IP addresses, so in DHCP manager
    i always see them, even if they are not connected.
    So, can DHCP display only active computers (currently connected)?
    Thank you!

    "Even if machine is not currently connected reservation is still active..."
    This sounds wrong, to me. This does not occur in my environment. Are you using DHCP reservation, or, static?
    you need to understand that DHCP is not a Microsoft product (Microsoft did not invent DHCP), so Microsoft can't really make DHCP do anything very special (or else Microsoft are creating some other product which is not DHCP then...)
    DHCP is designed for DHCPclients to initiate the conversation with the DHCPserver. If the DHCPclient never initiates the conversation with the DHCPserver (e.g. because the DHCPclient machine is turned off or removed from the network), the DHCPserver has
    no way of knowing what is happening.
    Which is also why DHCPserver, prior to issuing a lease to a DHCPclient, will issue a ping, to ensure that proposed IP address is not already in use by some rogue machine (stolen address = bad_address).
    DHCP reservation, will be marked as active / inactive, depending on what and when DHCPserver perform regular checks, from memory, this is not real-time checking, it is, I think, maybe daily checking.
    DHCPserver needs to be able to issue ping and receive response for all that to work correctly.

  • Activity Prices as Zero and in Decimal

    Dear Gurus,
    In accordance to our project requirement we need to fulfill the following two scenarios:-
    a) Activity Prices as Zero.
    b) Activity pricess in 4 decimal places, eg, 4.8989.
    The problem is
    a) When I put the activity price as 0, the system does not update it once I save it.
    b) When I put the activity price as 4.8989 and I save it becomes 48.989
    Regards,
    Vidyarthi.

    Please tell what do you mean by "the system does not update it once I save it". Does the field grey out?
    Regarding point b) if you want to change the decimal places for currency you can do so in OY04 (its cross client). But it is not recommended as this will impact the existing records in your system and make all the current records invalid (due to change in decimal place). Can you please tell me which currency with four decimal places you are presently using?

  • DHCPv6 Server. v6 IP only. Do I need IPv6 DHCP in case setting address manually. PROBLEMS

    I want network without Ipv4, only IPv6. Ipv4 is disabled on server and client. After setting IPv6 address manually to 2000:1::1/64 I still have dhcp enabled on interface. And when installing roles (dhcp, dns server) on server it gives message that
    no static addresses is available. Moreover after setting dhcp server scope 2000:1:: it serves addresses to dhcp server.
    How set correct static IPv6?
    After publish route:
    netsh int ipv6 set interface Local adv=en man=en other=en
    netsh int ipv6 add route 2000:1::/64 Ethernet publish=yes
    I have two ipv6 addresses on client? Highlighted address stays as static after releasing adapter and it looks like I do not need dhcp server at all??

    Hi,
    I got something similar with you.
    Since I don’t have a DHCP server in my environment, I just specified a static IP for test. And when I ran netsh interface ipv6 set address “Local Area Connection”,
    the IP didn’t modified as expected. It just ignored the old entry and added a new one.
    It is worth mentioning, there is no problem with IPv4.
    As a workaround, you can manually disable DHCP for the clients.

  • IPv6 dhcp

    I am testing IPv6 DHCP server in test lab with 3750 switch.
    Following is the details of the setup.
    Windows server 2008 r2 is configured as DHCP server.
    3750 switch with ios 12.2(55)SE5 is used to connect DHCP server and client.
    DHCP server and client both are in same VLAN 1.
    Clients are getting IP address from DHCP server if I configure 3750 switch as layer 2 switch.
    If I configure 3750 switch as a L3 switch clients are not getting IP address from DHCP server, clients are getting auto configured IPv6 address.
    Need assistance for the same

    Hi Yusuf,
    You need to do a configure a few things on the router interface for DHCPv6 to be used instead of SLAAC.
    interface vlan10
    ipv6 address 2001:DB8:12FF:1::1/64
    ipv6 nd prefix 2001:DB8:12FF:1::/64 no-advertise <++++++ will prevent SLAAC from taking place
    ipv6 nd managed-config-flag <+++++ tells the workstation it should get its IPv6 address from DHCP
    ipv6 nd other-config-flag <++++++ tells the workstation to get other config (dns server, domain name, etc) from DHCP

  • Popularity trends report always zero

    I am migrating serveral site collections from SP2010 to SP2013 farm. After migrated the sites, I enabled "Reporting" feature in site collection feature list.
    I found the usage report is always zero and after some research I performed the check suggested here:
    http://geekswithblogs.net/bjackett/archive/2013/08/26/powershell-script-to-workaround-no-data-in-sharepoint-2013-usage.aspx
    I found the Receivers are not well defined. After running the powershell script suggested I am able to define the Receivers.
    However, after 24 hours, all the reports still show zero. What else I can check? Thank you!

    Hi Mark,
    As I understand, usage report shows empty in your site collection. So far, you have confirmed the related two timer jobs work well as Inderjeet suggested, and defined new receivers as the blog you posted.
    Below are the tips you should take into consideration when testing the issue:
    1. Site we want to get web analytics report of should be in the content source.
    2. Site should be accessed by normal users; site accessed by farm admin users will be ignored by web analytics.
    3. Site should be accessed from client machines; site accessed with in server will be ignored by web analytics.
    4. System pages like pages under _layouts, _catalogs and web service calls are ignored web analytics.
    5. Also give at least 1 day to see data in usage report after you have accessed site.
    Below are the suggestions you could check:
    1.Confirm timer service is running, search service works well and run a full crawl for the site collection.
    2.Ensure the account for Usage and Health Data collection has enough permission.

  • WRVS4400N - DHCP Active IP Expiry Time

    After the 'client lease time' (in min.) was assigned, it was found that the 'Expires' field in DHCP Active IP Table would show the remaining time (in sec.) for each client host.  Suggest to show the remaining time in HH:mm:ss format for better user readability.

    You have to write that to linksys support. This is the community forum.

  • IP addresses not shown in DHCP active table

    Hello:
    I have upgraded from an older LinkSys wired router to the WRT54G wireless router. I have applied the latest firmware upgrades. I have 4 wired Windows computers, and 1 wireless. I have DSL, which is configured and working (i.e. all computers can connect).
    But... I notice that in the DHCP table, my computer IP addresses will disappear after a few minutes, if the computer is not active on the internet. Oddly, the computer(s) in question will still connect for the most part, and have an IP address locally, even though it doesn't display in the DHCP table for the router.
    It seems the router is dropping the IP clients after some amount of inactivity, but not automatically renewing them.
    I am wondering about this, since I am seeing a lot of temporary and short network drop outs on these computers that are not listed in the DHCP table.
    Dan Pronovost

    Thank you for the suggestions. I've tried these, with no success. But I have narrowed down the problem more:
    - All my computers work fine (with WRT54G v1.02 latest firmware upgrade, rebooted, etc.). They connect to the internet fine, and are properly listed in the DHCP table.
    - On one computer, when I run my VPN software to connect to a remote network, it then causes all the DHCP table clients to disappear in the router (all of them!).
    - Once this happens, the internet is intermittment at best on these machines. The browser works, but the VPN certainly does not, and other problems occur.
    - The VPN is the Cisco VPN client, 4.8.00.4400. I've tried both UDP and TCP access through the VPN software. Both do the same thing.
    - This problem can be a bit intermittent... I have successfully gotten the VPN up at different times, and not others.
    - I suspect some kind of IP intersection issue, or something related to the firewall/VPN settings for the router (which I have not changed).
    - The VPN machine is DHCP, as are all other devices in my setup (no static IPs).
    - The devices in my network include: Vonage VOIP phone/modem, 5 DHCP computers.
    Any further help would be appreciated. I can provide a saved router setup, or similar. The problem is very easy to replicate (connect VPN, and entries in DHCP table disappear).

  • WAP4410N IPv6 DHCP or AutoConfig

    I would like to see IPv6 DHCP support on the WAP4410N or at least IPv6 AutoConfig.
    Currently, you have to put in a static IPv6 IP for the WAP.
    I would like to see IPv6 DHCP support as well as IPv6 AutoConfig.
    It would be nice to allow wireless clients to use IPv6 on my network, like my wired clients can (AutoConfig).
    Just a suggestion.

    It's really rather ridiculous DHCPv6 isn't implemented in OS X yet. I can (possibly) understand this for 10.4 and 10.5 but 10.6 is going to run into IPv6 deployment scenario's and should be able to handle all cases. I hope to God 10.7 has decent v6 support throughout OS X.
    As far as I know, the dhcp-client used by OS X is the KAME project client, now known as WIDE-DHCP which does have support for DHCPv6 and has so for a long time. Why Apple is so reluctant to include this feature in both iOS and OS X is quite the mystery.

  • RV320 Question about IPv6 DHCP

    Hello everyone,
    Been running the RV320 for quite some time but now I also want to use IPv6 support for all clients and to the net. On WAN1 I have a fiber connection to my ISP who gave me a bunch of IPv6 adresses and IPv4 (IPv4 already being configured and working!).
    Now all clients for IPv4 locally use 192.168.1.x and ofc i have set some external IPv4 adresses to internal IPv4 adresses by using One-to-One NAT.
    I want to setup IPv6 DHCP on our network aswell and went to DHCP setup > IPv6 and then clicked DHCP SERVER.
    I filled in these fields:
    IPv6 adress: fc00::1
    Prefix length: 7
    DHCP Server and for DNS the google's:
    2001:4860:4860::8888
    Should that be it? Or do i also need to configure the IPv6 Address Pool Table stuff? And if so, how?
    I basically want the same as IPv4, so just internal IPv6 adresses which should translate to the outside just like with IPv4.
    Also under WAN1 i have WAN Connection Settings:
    What shouldb e filled in under: LAN IPv6 Address: ?? i have :: right now there.
    Can anyone help me?

    Hello Michiel,
    The following link has some useful information about setting up DHCPv6 server on RV320.
    http://sbkb.cisco.com/CiscoSB/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=5d6de1bfe4c1488fb51b75cb76dd0ef6_DHCPv6_Configuration_and_Monitoring_on_RV320_Router.xml&pid=2&respid=0&snid=9&dispid=0&cpage=search
    Also, the admin guide (Chapter 3, Page 19) provides some good information about IPv6 support on the RV320, especially around DHCP-PD. If the Service provider supports DHCP-PD (prefix delegation), then you can just enable the feature on RV320 and the clients behind the router (including LAN interface on the router) get IP address directly through the ISP.
    Hope this helps.

  • WRT54GL router's DHCP Active IP Table don't show wired ones?

    Hello.
    On my old Linksys WRT54GL router (with its latest stock firmware)'s http://192.168.1.1/DHCPTable.asp for DHCP Active IP Table, it only shows wireless connections. How come it doesn't show wired ones?

If that's ok. It could be with the fw of the router. I suggest you may reflash it but if it didn't resolve the issue, reset the router then reconfigure it. Because on the DHCP client's table, it should show there all devices connected wired and wirelessly thru the router.
    Here's the link for the download site.

    Oh goofy me. Yes, I am using static IP addresses for the wired computers. Hmm, is there a way to view those static IP addresses?

  • How to configure IPv6 DHCP on Windows Server 2012?

    I see LOTS of help and what to do for IPv4, but it's a ghost town for IPv6 DHCP configuration? Hardly anything on youtube etc that shows this simply. Lots of complicated unrelated IPv6 stuff though.
    Seems many here as best practice set up server to handle DHCP. Not router or firewall. So how are you setting up IPv6 on the server?
    Anyone have any tutorials or simple step by step help how to properly configure DHCPv6 on server?
    Currently the router is handling DHCP. I want to use Active Directory. I know its best to have server handle DHCP, but will AD work just fine with router doing both ipv4 and ipv6 dhcp and for simplicity and wireless? Small 5 user office.

  • Ipv6 dhcp inside AToM

    Hello everyone.
    I was experimenting with ipv6 dhcp using the following topology:
     7609s ----------mpls core--------  7609s -------SWITCH---------client PC
            \________vpws_________/
    Idea of this experiment is that on a first router I have configured ipv6 dhcp server for vrf CLIENT. dhcp server was enabled on a SVI inside vrf, which also serves as AC for vpws. So I was trying to emulate L2 connectivity between a client and a server. VPWS works, L2 connectivity exists, static dual stack was successfully tested. But a strange behavior is observed with ipv6 dhcp design both for managed and other  flags. Specifically RA messages are lost. In a router debug RA are sent to FF02::1 address but never reach a client (wireshark). Although other dhcp parameters like domain name, dns servers or ipv6 address (managed flag) are received without a problem. Client doesn't see a router.
    So are the messages sent to FF02::1 address transparently passed through vpws?

    Hi Yusuf,
    You need to do a configure a few things on the router interface for DHCPv6 to be used instead of SLAAC.
    interface vlan10
    ipv6 address 2001:DB8:12FF:1::1/64
    ipv6 nd prefix 2001:DB8:12FF:1::/64 no-advertise <++++++ will prevent SLAAC from taking place
    ipv6 nd managed-config-flag <+++++ tells the workstation it should get its IPv6 address from DHCP
    ipv6 nd other-config-flag <++++++ tells the workstation to get other config (dns server, domain name, etc) from DHCP
