Is 70 webpages pages too much to use for Muse?

Like many I'm more of a designer than a coder and am looking at using Muse for my website..I already have around 70 pages for the existing site..after looking at Muse tutorials..the question is asked..how big is your site? it said if you wish to have a site with 100's pages its not for you..which sounds logical..however in my instance its around 70 pages..the other angle I was thinking is if it is at 100 pages..what if the single page content isnt too packed with info..any feedback would be appreciated..thx

With that number of pages, it shouldn't be any issue , but we always recommend that if you have too many assets or using enough static on pages then its best to split them up.

    Hi All,
    i uninstalled AV successfully using as below mentioned links:
    Moved to VirusScan Other where hopefully an expert can help you.
    Until they do I Googled 'How to uninstall VirusScan 8.6 for MAC' and got this as one of the many choices:  https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB54975
    There are also uninstall instructions in the User Guide: https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/ 22000/PD22134/en_US/VirusScan%20for%20Mac%208.6.1%20User%20Guide%20Addendum.pdf
    By condemning files to the bin you may have scotched any automated method of removal but I will defer to the experts on that.

  • Is it too much to ask for Apple to explain the content of the Console?

    I've asked for definitions of terms for years now ... defintions of console terms and phrases such as the following example, each of which may well relate, in terms of the components and the Consoles ref to their "loading", to the ongoing, sophistcated penentration that manages to deinstall my ESET firewall and screw up desktop components across the board. None of third-party malware products have ever found a "threat" on my system, but the malicious activity continues. '
    Unfortunately Apple long ago decided against helping their customers with the UNIX-based Mac, pretending to the world that new OS X Macs were as simple use as System 9 Macs, and just as secure. LOL. What a lie.
    Apple exploits its reputation for not documenting its products by continuing to not document their products. Apple also continues to imply in all sorts of ways that a Mac is the most secure platform on the planet, ignoring the fact that its Firewall is a joke because, among other things, its "safest" setting — Block All Incoming Traffic — lets Bonjour traffic in, as if it or its Windows twin ZeroConfig are safe when in truth Bonjour is a massive back door that is almost impossible to shut off.
    WHY DOESN'T APPLE DEFINE ITS CONSOLE MESSAGES, ESPECIALLY THOSE REPORTING ON COMPONENTS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DISABLED, SUCH AS ACTIVE DIRECTORY, WHICH HACKERS LIKE TO USE TO SET UP SHAM DHCP SERVERS?
    WHAT DOES THIS MESSAGE MEAN? Plugin "Active Directory", Version "6.5.1", is set to load lazily.
    Since I have the bad luck of being targeted, and since I know Active Directory represents a huge security hole unless it is used in a controlled environment (i.e., and office the infrastracture of which is used by IT staff to secure its at-work network), I know I don't want mdsresponder guiding a sham server through a firewall's "maximum security" setting.
    SO, I SHOUT THIS QUESTION INTO APPLE'S ECHOING VOID: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A DEFINITION FOR: Is set to load lazily"?
    Is there anyone with integrity left at Apple, or did they all leave when Bonjour was introduced?

    Hi, as far as I can infer, that term means it's not loading any resources until needed, opposite of this...
    -bind_at_load
                     Sets a bit in the mach header of the resulting binary which tells dyld to bind all symbols                when the binary is loaded, rather than lazily.
    https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man1/ld.1.html
    Load resources lazily.
    You should never load a resource file until it is actually needed. Prefetching resource files may seem like a way to save time, but this practice actually slows down your app right away. In addition, if you end up not using the resource, loading it wastes memory for no good purpose.

    And, higher OS versionsare even worse with Bonjour/mDNSResponder, but might see this...

    Like it says in the topic question. Would it be too much to ask for Firefox to ignore the "www" when sorting history by site? IE ignores the "www", but not Firefox. It's a real pain to have to look in two places rather than one for a site I previously visited.
    Other than that my migration to FF has been great.

    If that is the case then you may have lost intermediate certificates that were stored in the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder.
    Check out why the site is untrusted (see the Technical details) and if this is caused by a missing intermediate certificate then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
    Some firewalls monitor secure (https) connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
    You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
    *Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
    Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

  • Taking too much time using BufferedWriter to write to a file

    Hi,
    I'm using the method extractItems() which is given below to write data to a file. This method is taking too much time to execute when the number of records in the enumeration is 10000 and above. To be precise it takes around 70 minutes. The writing pauses intermittently for 20 seconds after writing a few lines and sometimes for much more. Has somebody faced this problem before and if so what could be the problem. This is a very high priority work and it would be really helpful if someone could give me some info on this.
    Thanks in advance.
    public String extractItems() throws InternalServerException{
    try{
                   String extractFileName = getExtractFileName();

    Hi fiontan,
    Thanks a lot for the response!!!
    Yeah!! I kow it's a lotta code, but i thought it'd be more informative if the whole function was quoted.
    I'm in fact using the PrintWriter to wrap the BufferedWriter but am not using the print() method.
    Does it save any time by using the print() method??
    The place where the delay is occurring is the wile loop shown below:
                while(allitems.hasMoreElements()){
                String aRow = "";
                    XDItem item = (XDItem)allitems.nextElement();
                    for(int i =0 ; i < props.length; i++){
                         String value = item.getStringValue(props);
         if(value == null || value.equalsIgnoreCase("null"))
              value = "";
                             if(i == 0)
                                  aRow = value;
                             else
                                  aRow += ("\t" + value);
    startTime1 = System.currentTimeMillis();
    System.out.println("time here is--before-writing to buffer --out.flush() done: " +startTime1);
    bufferWrt.write(aRow.toCharArray());
    out.flush();//added by rosmon to check extra time taken for extraction//
    bufferWrt.flush();//added by rosmon to check extra time taken for extraction//
    bufferWrt.newLine();
    startTime2 = System.currentTimeMillis();
    System.out.println("time here is--after-writing to buffer : " +startTime2);
    What exactly happens is that after a few loops it just seems to sleep for around 20 seconds and then again starts off and ............it goes on till the records are done.
    Please do lemme know if you have any idea as to why this is happening !!!!! This bug is giving me the scare.
    thanks in advance

  • Tablespace temp grows too much when using OBIEE

    Hi gurus,
    i´m using OBIEE 10.1.3.4 . When i´doing a select over a materialized view, the tablespace temp grows too much ( about 15GB).
    The columns of the materialized view are functions.
    The base tables of the Materialized View are big, thousands of MB.
    Is it possible to configure the tablespace temp with OBIEE? and via SQL-PLUS?
    Best Regards.
    Roberto.

    you can do it with Oracle Enterprise Manager, that is much easier way. If you don't have access to OEM and has privileges to alter table space. the command is something like
    alter tablespace ts_sth add datafile \etc\temp.dbf' size 4M autoextend on;

  • Fill Factor and Too Much Space Used

    Okay, I am on sql server 2012 sp2.  I am doing a simple update on some large tables where there is an int column that allows nulls and I am changing the null values to be equal to the values in another integer column in the same table.  (Please
    don't ask why I am doing dup data as that is a long story!)
    So it's a very simple update and these tables are about 65 million rows I believe and so you can calculate how much space it should increase by.  Basically, it should increase by 8 bytes * 65 million = ~500Mbytes, right?
    However, when I run these updates the space increases by about 3 G per table.  What would cause this behavior?
    Also, the fill factor on the server is 90% and this column is not in the PK or any of the 7 nonclustered indexes.  The table is used in horizonal partitioning but it is not part of the constraint.
    Any help is much appreciated...

    Hi CLM,
    some information to the INT data type before going into detail of the "update process":
    an INT datatype is 4 bytes not 8!
    an INT datatype is a fixed length data type
    Unfortunatley we don't know anything about the table structure (colums, indexes) but based on your observation I presume a table with multiple indexes. Furthermore I presume a nonclustered non unique index on the column you are updating.
    To understand why an update of an INT attribute doesn't affect the space of the table itself you need to know a few things about the record structure. The first 4 bytes of a record header describe the structure and the type of the record! Please take the
    following table structure (it is a HEAP) as an example for my ongoing descriptions:
    CREATE TABLE dbo.demo
    Id INT NOT NULL IDENTITY (1, 1),
    c1 INT NULL,
    c2 CHAR(100) NOT NULL DEFAULT ('just a filler')
    The table is a HEAP with no indexes and the column [c1] is NULLable. After 10,000 records have been added to the table...
    SET NOCOUNT ON;
    GO
    INSERT INTO dbo.demo WITH (TABLOCK) DEFAULT VALUES
    GO 10000
    ... the record structure for the first record looks like the following. I will first evaluate the position of the record and than create an output with DBCC PAGE
    SELECT pc.*, d.Id, d.c1
    FROM dbo.demo AS d CROSS APPLY sys.fn_PhysLocCracker(%%physloc%%) AS pc
    WHERE d.Id = 1;
    In my example the first record allocates the page 168. To examine this page you can use DBCC PAGE but keep in mind that it isn't documented. You have to enable the output of DBCC PAGE by usage of DBCC TRACEON with the TF 3604.
    DBCC TRACEON (3604);
    DBCC PAGE (demo_db, 1, 168, 1);
    The output of the above command shows all data records which are allocated on the page 168. The next output represents the first record:
    Slot 0, Offset 0x60, Length 115, DumpStyle BYTE
    Record Type = PRIMARY_RECORD Record Attributes = NULL_BITMAP Record Size = 115
    The above output shows the record header which describes the type of record and it gives some information about the structure of the record. It is a PRIMARY RECORD which contains NULLable columns. The length of the record is 115 bytes.
    The next ouptput shows the first bytes of the record and its logical solution:
    10 00 PRIMARY RECORD and NULLable columns
    70 00 OFFSET for information about number of columns (112)
    01 00 00 00 Value of ID
    00 00 00 00 Value of C1
    6a757374 Value (begin) of C2
    If might be complicate but you will get a very good explanation about the record structures in the the Book "SQL Server Internals" from Kalen Delaney.
    The first two bytes (0x1000 describe the record type and its structure. Bytes 3 and 4 define the offset in the record where the information about the number of columns can be picked up. As you may see from the value it is "far far" near the end of the record.
    The reason is quite simple - these information are stored BEHIND the fixed length data of a record. As you can see from the above "code" the position is 112. 112 - 4 bytes for the record header is 108. Id = 4 + C1 = 4 + C2 = 100 = ??? All the columns are FIXED
    length columns so is it with C1 because it has a fixed length data size!
    The next 4 bytes represent the value which is stored in Id (0x01000000) which is 1. C1 is filled with placeholders for a possible value. If we update it with a new value the preallocated space in the record structure will be filled and NO extra space will
    be used. So - based on the simple table structure - a growth WILL NOT OCCUR!
    Based on the given finding the question is WHAT will cause additional allocation of space?
    It can only be nonclustered indexes. Let's assume we have an index on c1 (which is full of NULL). If you update the table with values the NCI will be updated, too. For each update from NULL to Value a new record will be added to the NCI. What is the size
    of the new record in the NCI?
    We have the record header which is 4 bytes. If the table is a heap we have to deal with a RID it is 8 bytes. If your table is a Clustered index the size depends on the size of the Clustered Key(s). If it is only an INT it is 4 bytes. In the given example
    I have to add 8 Bytes because it is a HEAP!
    On top of the - now 12 bytes - we have to add the size of the column itself which is 4 bytes. Last but not least additional space will be allocated if the index isn't unique (+4 bytes) allows NULL, ...
    In the given example a nonlclustered index will consume 4 bytes for the header + 8 bytes for the RID + 4 bytes for C1 + 4 bytes if the index isn't unique + 2 bytes for the NULLable information! = 22 bytes!!!
    Now calculate the size by your number of records. And next ... - add the calculated size for EACH additional record and don't forget page splits, too! If the values for the index are not contigious you will have hundreds of page splits when the data will
    be added to the index(es) :). In this case the fill factor is worthless because of the huge amount of data...
    Get more information about my arguments here:
    Calculation of index size:

    Structure of a record:
    http://www.sqlskills.com/blogs/paul/inside-the-storage-engine-anatomy-of-a-record/
    PS: I remember my first international speaker engagement which was in 2013 in Stockholm (Erland may remember it!). I was talking about the internal structures of the database engine as a starting point for my "INSERT / UPDTAE / DELETE - deep dive" session.
    There was one guy who asked in a quite boring manner: "For what do we need to know this nonsence?" I was stumbeling because I didn't had the right answer to this. Now I would answer that knowing about record structure and internals you can calculate in a quite
    better way the future storage size :)
    You can watch it here but I wouldn't recommend it :)

  • Macbook pro retina, too much ram used & performance problems

    i've recently got my macbook pro with retina display, 128 gb i5 intel 2.6Hz processor with 8gb memory, OS Yosemite 10.10.1. problems began to appear the very first moment i've turned it on: at the last step of profile creation (the step where you choose a name and a password of your profile), after i've filled all the fields and clicked some button to proceed, my macbook refused to boot and froze. i've restarted the computer and then it booted just fine. Then new problems appeared: after installing some apps from mac app store, they wouldn't load the first time i open them, - i had to close them and reopen. Once again, this issue wasn't appearing with every app - only with a few ones. I assumed that this was a software issue which will disappear after i update. And well, i didn't observe this problem ever since i've updated the OS. However, i can't be sure that it disappeared.
    Also, i monitor RAM consumption using the Memory Clean app. there are like only 3.60 gb free space out of 8. is it ok?
    so, what i am asking: should i take my macbook to a store to get it fixed or this problem is just a software and not a hardware issue and i just have to wait?
    Thanks

    That is normal.  The Mavericks and Yosemite OSXs use as much RAM as is available in order to increase efficiency.. The parameter that you should monitor is 'pressure', not the amount.  If it is GREEN, you are operating within acceptable limits.  If there is a color change, then more RAM may be required or there may be other issues that may need attention.
    so, what i am asking: should i take my macbook to a store to get it fixed or this problem is just a software and not a hardware issue and i just have to wait?
    Since you have a new MBP, your best option is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and have them sort out the issues for you.  Your MBP has a warranty, use it.
    Ciao.

  • 25 MB for one page -- too much?

    I want to insert 5 MP3 files into a single page, which takes an awful long time and is very slow. If I buy more disk space, would this solve it? What will? Thanks.

    In a word, no.
    Buying more disk space will solve your web space storage problems, but you'd also need to buy more bandwidth to transfer all of these MP3s to your visitors.
    In any case, no visitor is going to wait for a 25Mb page to load up.
    You are better off splitting each MP3 into its own page, and also converting/saving it into a much smaller file size.

  • Too much memory used ,nothing boots up after password .Help!

    I am having trouble after I enter my password the screen gets stuck on the login picture of stars .i have a low memory warning pop up when I enter my password . Is there any way I can fix this ?

    That is the warning you get when you don't have enough hard drive space for the OS to run properly. Since you can't get the system to boot up properly from the internal drive you will need to use a external drive to boot the system, that is after you install OS X on that external, and move or delete files from the internal drive.
    If you don't know how to do any of that ask a friend that has more computer knowledge than you do to help you do it.

  • Too much ram used!

    Our applet has a size of 200kB aproximately, but when it is loaded in the client, it consumes something like 70MB of ram memory. Besides every time we reload it, the consumption increments by 10MB aprox. Is this behavior normal? Does exist maybe some programming tip or technique (we do not know yet) to avoid this excesively high ram consumption?

    I guess the 200 KB is the size of your jar and 70 MB is the memory usage of the JVM. Maybe you are doing some task requiring a bunch of memory (e.g. image manipulations) and then it's OK.
    Play with the Java Control Panel options to see memory usage and run garbage collection...
