Is flash remoting/rpc reliable when using rtmfp

As we know, rtmfp use udp instead of tcp, which is more efficient for a/v streams. But, you konw, UDPis not oritented connection and unreliable. So i want to konw that how can we ensure that flash remoting/rpc is reliable when using rtmfp, espcially in very bad network evnironment.
anyone knows?

We are using the rtmfp protocol to open a group connection,
using a NetGroup, where each client streams each own video and listen to others.
I've retried streaming between a flash player 10.3 and 11.1, it didn't work.
This involved opening 2 netgroup on each client, where one publishes and one plays the other.
Example:
Client 1 publishes stream "a" and plays "b" using flash player 10.3
Client 2 publishes stream "b" and plays "a" using flash player 11.1
Moreover, the plugin crashes on the client machines.
One more detail: the video stream width is 80, the height is 60.
Please advice.

Flash player keeps crashing when using firefox ok using internet explorer

Flash player stops working when using various sites particularily ebay. It shows action script errors but not always the same one, If you dismiss and continue it usually starts working again but not always. Sometimes you have to restart firefox. I have latest firefox and flashplayer in fact problems seemed to start with latest versions. I have tried internet explorer and flashplayer is fine on all sites. I would like to carry on using firefox but will have to stop if problems persist. I am not a computer whiz kid so would not want to go through tests etc, i would prefer if Mozilla could sort this out.

6sec latency when using rtmfp

We are using FMS v4.0 and OS is Windows Server 2008.
There was 6 seconds latency when using rtmfp, but the rtmp is no more than 1 second latency.
6 sec is not acceptable to our customer. They expect 2 sec - 4 sec.
How can I reduce the latency?

Flash player BSOD crashes when using Hardware acceleration (+ATI card?)

Hello, I get frequent and recurrent BSOD crashes with the latest Flash player, watching some videos on Youtube. I own a ATI Radeon 5700 video card and use the latest (v11.5) Catalyst drivers on Windows XP SP3, if this can help. If I disable hardware acceleration through dxdiag, or in the Flash player options, the crashes cease. Will this be fixed ? If it won't, could hardware acceleration be disabled by default on next versions of the Flash player ? Thank you.

First thing to acknowledge is: BSOD crashes are 99.9999999% of the time due to critical OS problems or hardware. 0.0000001% of the time they are due to software, be it Microsoft or third party.
If turning off the HW acceleration causes the BSODs to stop, I'd say there is a hardware problem (most likely) but there is also a slim chance that you have a memory fault your video card runs into when using software to accelerate the card.
The BSOD gives information about the cause. If you have that it would help to point to the source of the Fatal Exception, and determine what steps youneed to take.

Flash player controls missing when using embedding in HTML

I have just created a Flash movie with a .flv file in flash cs4 when playing the .swf file we can see the controls of the player, when I use the html code the player controls are missing.
it is missing when using the HTML that is generated with in flash as well.

Hi,
Please check that your swfobject.js file is located where your .swf file and.html file are published. Your .swf file, .html file and swfobject.js should be placed on the same folder.
In my Flash CS4 the code generated in the HTML file is different and is having 318 lines of code. But the code which you pasted below looks different. If you are not able to see the flash content only in HTML file then it might be active content blocking. Please refer the link which provides fix for active content blocking manually.

Flash freezes (halts/hangs) when using SLC FastForward flash based product. Help!

I'm using Windows XP SP3 - Chrome Version 23.0.1271.97 m, Firefox 17.0.1. - i7 Q Core 3.4 Ghz, 4 Gb DDR 3, AMD Radeon HD 6452 (Video Card) : The screen seems to completely lock up with no response from the HID (Keyboard, Mouse). I have to restart the computer, sometimes it will let me restart the browser. I'll be using the product for several minutes and the computer locks up. It mainly occurs in Chrome and am wondering; since it's a peppered version of Flash that it's requiring more resources from the video card (512mb) it's locking the system up. Anyone have ideas why flash would be failing/freezing during the use of this product? The symptoms and behavior are similar to those that occur when using other flash based products such as YouTube. Any one have any ideas?

the next time it happens, post your logs. /var/log/Xorg.0.log would be one of things to look at. Check your CPU usage at that time. See what process or processes are taking most of the CPU cycles and/or memory and other resources.

Can't Apple Remote to iTunes when using iPhone as a Personal Hotspot

My AT&T iPhone 4S is set up to be used as Personal Hotspot. So I turn HotSpot on and connect my MacBook Pro to my iPhone's internet just fine.
However, when I open Apple Remote app on the iPhone, it won't connect to iTunes on my MBP.
I have set it up at home where both iPhone and MBP are connected to the wireless connection on the Apple Airport. It worked perfectly in that configuration.
I'm in a band that plays weddings and corporate events. During breaks, I use Apple iTunes to DJ tracks. If I can't use Remote, I'm tethered to the stage constantly. This is a big problem. I need the internet connection to buy songs that are requested that I don't already own. And I need to be able to control iTunes remotely for when I'm in the crowd running microphones from one person to another during speeches and such.
Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere? Or am I just outta luck for this configuration?

Hi! This will solve the problem. Connect iphone personal hotspot, on macbook turn on - internet connection sharing - create your network - connect iphone to that network, you will have internet connection and mac with iphone will think that you are on wifi network. From that point will everything work - also remote control and remote sync with itunes. Try it!.

Nokia Lumia Flash Stays lit except when using came...

For some reason my Nokia Lumia camera flash stays lit when I am trying to use the phone other than when I am using the camera itself. THis causes the batter to drain and I cannot use the phone for normal use. Is there a way to turn this off.

Flash Pro CC crash when using pencil, brush tool

I have bought the full CC package and installed Flash Pro CC today on my laptop (lenovo y50) and im getting crashes when i use the pencil and brush tool.
When i use the select tool the selection is not in the right place. program feels weird.
Im using lastest version
running windows 8.1
lastest flash and air and graphic drivers.
It just crashes doesn't even show a error just benggg stopped working.
Can anybody help me out?

i was having the same problem and found the solution from Adobe.
you have to go to control panel - hardware and sound - display -
change the size of the text to the smaller one 100%
REstart the os and start adobe flash
i wish this will help

FLASH 9 CRASHES IE7 WHEN USING WEBCAM

Evey website that uses flash to broadcast your webcam,
crashes ie7 when you try and open your webcam. I have upgraded to
the new beta and evern rolled back to v8 and it still does the same

I'm having the exact same issues, and my Veo webcam works in
all other software / chat sites that don't use Flash player. So, is
Flash player even detecting the Camera ? I have used this same cam
in earlier versions of Flash player, what seems to be the

TS Remote App Issue, When using RemoteApp menu's do not pop up

The Issue:
On a Windows 7 machine using RemoteApp, (within a program) when i click a calendar to pop up it doesn't pop up at all. If you repeatedly click it will show up for a fraction of a second. If you rdp into the same server and click on the same calendar button
it works just fine.
Running the same remote app on an XP Pro machine, it works just fine when i go to click on the calendar it looks like a new rdp window pops up just for the calendar, i make my selection and then it goes away.
The software is an Electronic medical records software, we have it working at other client locations just fine, i have mirror my TS, broker, and remote app settings to them and it still does not work.
My thoughts....
I am running a Server 2008 TS-Farm, one broker running 2008 R2, and three TS servers running 2008 32 bit std.
I think I have narrowed it down to a conflict in RDP versions, but i do not know where to go from here.
All of the 2008 TS servers ( not the R2) are running rdp 6.06.6001
The Broker and Client computers are Windows 7 Pro running RDP 6.1.7600
I have tested a windows XP machine with version 6.06.6001 with the remote app and it works just fine , I upgraded it to RDP 7 and it stopped working, i went back to the old rdp version and it started working again .
I cannot downgrade the rdp version of the Windows 7 machines and i do not want to downgrade the to Win Xp.
Any thoughts ?

Flash crashes in Firefox when using a Webcam

Him my issue seems to only aise in FireFox, Chrome seems to handle the webcam fine
Flash (not Firefox itself) crashes every time a website tries to access my webcam at all.
This happens on every website, including the flash version chack page (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html) when right clicking and going into Settings, everything works fine unless I switch to the Webcam tab, which immediately crashes Flash.
Windows 7 32bit, nVidia GTX 560Ti, 4GB Ram, latest drivers for all, latest FireFox and Flash versions.

What webcam do you use? I just tried this with my Logitech C920 but couldn't reproduce.

Flash Video not smooth when using Firefox tabs

I'm not sure whether this is a Flash Player problem or a
Firefox problem, but something in the integration leads to this
unpleasant experience.
I like to start a video and listen to it while I browse other
content. But when other tabs are loading, the sound from the video
gets some interruptions.
What is the root of this problem/bug? Is there any way to fix
it?

Running a Flex App using Coldfusion Flash Remoting Services gives me a blank SWF file but no errors

I cannot get flex to compile to display anything. even if its
just a single panel and some text. If I use the wizard and choose
"Basic" or whatever, I get a flex app. But i am using cfcs so I
selected "Coldfusion Flash Remoting Services" and when I select
run, the browser pops up with a nice big blank screen. No loading
progress bar, no errors, nothing.
I am running cf8 as a standalone (developers edition)
under project properites --> server
root folder: C:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot
root url
http://localhost:8500/
context: (blank)
I have messed with context and webroot.
I doesn't matter if I use a remoteObject or not. Nothing
happens
i through in a crossdomain.xml into the root to open it up,
just to be sure.
I am really stumped. I had this working fine on a previous pc
(running cf7)
any ideas anyone???

I tried with some of the AS3 files from Adobe samples (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/actionscript/samples.html), for eg., the Drawing API. There are slider components in the flash app that don't show up either. Does that give anyone a clue as to what might be wrong? Thanks, Ramesh
