Is iPod compatible with my computer?
Hi, so I'm going to buy an iPod classic this week. I was looking over the specifications and everything and under Windows operating system it said you need to have service pack 3. I have a Windows XP computer with service pack 2. Does this mean that the iPod classic won't be compatible with my computer? I don't have the money to buy a new computer or upgrade it or anything and this one isn't even that old. Please help me out.. I really want this iPod!
You don't need to spend money to install service pack 3, it's a free download from Microsoft. Have a look at this link: Microsoft Help & Support - How to obtain the latest Windows XP service pack

Is iPod compatible with windows media player 11?
Hello, is iPod compatible with windows mediaplayer 11?
No. iPods are to iTunes. Other PMPs are to WMP. You'll have to import your songs into iTunes to transfer them to the iPod. iTunes is better anyways, but thats only my opinion.

Been running Firefox for years. I upgraded as I usually do whenever there is a new version of Firefox. I downloaded Firefox 5.0 and now if I try to log on is says "This version is not compatible with your computer's architecture." I've changed nothing on my computer. I'm on a G4 Mac OS 10.5.8. I tried to download the older version of Firefox 4.0 but still the same message.
Hi @kbaostrem
A full feature driver for Mavericks is not available for your printer, either from the CD that shipped with your printer or from the HP website. This document applies to HP printers supported in Mac OS X versions 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.7 (Lion), 10.8 (Mountain Lion), 10.9 (Mavericks), and 10.10 (Yosemite) that only have drivers available through Apple Software Update.
If you would like, I can help you put the printer on your wireless network without software. I use this method for iPads, iPhones and other devices that do not have software.
Restore the network defaults on the printer by pushing the wireless button, going to settings, and then restore defaults. The wireless button should then start flashing, this means it is now in autowireless mode.
Connect to the network that the printer is broadcasting. It is usually HP-setup-3050a and then part of the MAC address. The wireless light will still be flashing on the printer at this point, this is normal since this is not an actual adhoc connection.
Load up the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in the browser on your mobile device. The default IP for autowireless is 192.168.223.1.
Go to the network tab along the top of the EWS.
Click on Wireless Setup Wizard along the lefthand side to begin configuring the printer.
You have now completed the Wireless configuration, follow the next 3 steps to start printing.
The blue wireless light will go solid, put the Mac back on your own network.
Add the printer to the System Preferences.
Print

How do i sync my ipod touch with my computer without erasing all music already on ipod?
how do i sync my ipod touch with my computer without erasing all of the music already on the ipod
Sanmannyer, just what are you smoking? iTunes can sync non-iTunes purchased music to any iPod and iOS devices (iPod touch, iPhone and iPad) as long as it is not DRM protected.
Would y plase stop posting incorrect information.

what the heck dude? That only works for ipod shuffles and not for ipod touch. U cant use itunes to copy non-purhased songs from ipod touch to pc. u have to use a 3rd party application like syncios to do so. -
"OSX Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer."
I bought a MacBook Pro (13" retina display) today. Tried to update software. Error mesage said to ujpdate OS. When I tried to, error message said, "OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer." Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
All owners of the model seem to have the same problem. Presently there is no 10.8.2 updater for your model. The previous updater has been pulled. Wait a while and one will show up when Apple gets it fixed.

i purchased songs via my ipod touch. when I sync'd my ipod touch with my computer, the songs I purchased disappeared into a black hole... how do I get them back without having to repurchase?
On your iPod Touch, open the iTunes app. There should be tab named "purchased", which shows all your purchase history. Choose the "Not on this iPod" tab and you'll get a list of purchased products that are not on your device. Hope this helped.

I have a Macbook with 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and want to upgrade to Mountain Lion. When I try to download the program I get a message that says Mountain Lion is not compatible with my computer. Please help.

If I were to buy the 7 Home Premium SP1 64bit, System Builder OEM DVD 1 Pack from Amazon to install Microsoft Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro, would it be compatible with my computer if I put it in bootcamp? (I have all of the current software updates)
In order to run Windows Applications, you must own the applications and, since they require Windows, you must own Windows. There are technologies like wine that will allow Windows applications to run without Windows, but they tend to be flakey at best.

have lion 10.7.4 up graded from tiger 10.5.8. tried to download mountain lion but received a message that mountain lion is not compatible with my computer. anyone have this problem or suggestion?
It's actually not the chip... it's the drivers for the video card. this is what my friend who does IT work said.
"The drivers for your Mac's video card are not 64bit compatible even though the computer itself is. Mountain Lion has done away with all 32bit OS components so it only runs on full 64bit MAcs now"
So even though I updated my video card to a newer version and my computer itself is 64bit... apple didn't create a driver for it that was 64 bit. My hardware is fine for this update and the chip can handle it. It can handle all my 64 bit programs just fine. It's apple forcing me to update and buy a new expensive computer. So much for long lasting computer... they last long but they won't be supported very long.
Why not release a version of mountain lion that supports 32 bit graphics alongside the 64 bit? Wasn't that what grand central was going to accomplish? This is rubbish. -
I'm currently running 10.6.8 and would like to upgrade to mountain lion but all i keep getting is the following: We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer. help

I've tried to purchase Mountain Lion but when I click 'buy' I get the message, "We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer." I'm using an iMac with Lion OS on it, Why is it incompatible?
Your Mac must be one of the following models:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)

Xserve (Early 2009)
