I am trying to set up Icloud keychain, but it keeps sending the verification code to my land line (which I guess I entered back when I first got my MacBook). I have gone into my apple account and changed the # to my mobile phone, but it continued to send it to the land line. Probably is something simple, but I am not a techy!!

As regardss to the iChat and iChat Sharing categorisation you have used.
In iChat 6 (lion) and Messages (Mountain Lion) the apps login to AIM and to Me.com
The Login to Me.com allows AIM to verify the password to the iCloud issued names (@me.com and @iCloud.com)
This "Dual" login also prevents the newer iCloud issued name from using this site
(it has extra Privacy settings that iChat can't access for your AIM and Aim valid Accounts)
Ignoring the @mac.com and MobileMe entries in the Add Account Screen in iChat and using the AIM one does not get around this issue.
AIM and @mac.com names still work in older versions of iChat.
The short answer is that iCloud issued Apple IDs do not work in iChat 5 or Earlier.

The iTunes store will often report the securty code is invalid if there are other issues with the credit card. I have seen at least on case when that was reported for a card that had zero available credit. There is also another case where the card does not pass some address check with Apple that it reports that it is invalid. I don't remember any more details on that latter issue though.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

"Sounds like you guys are using the same apple id for imessage. You will need to create a separate id for you wife. OR go to settings - message - receive&send and make sure your phone number is the default for both you and yoru wife.

ICloud Keychain setup failing despite entering correct verification code

I just installed Yosemite and I'm having trouble setting up iCloud keychain. I've done this about 7 times now and its not working. I go to set up iCloud Keycain (in iCoud prefs pane) i enter my Apple account password, then my 4 digit pin code, then i get an sms with verification code, i enter it in the dialog and it says the code is incorrect and now I've entered it too many times so now it says I must verify through Apple support. It was the same thing when I tried setting it up during Yosemite installation.
Anyone else having this problem?

After resetting your password you might then need to log out of your account on your device by phone on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores if it's on iOS 6) and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it

I share a computer with my wife and some how it shares our content between us. Both our phones will download each other apps phone lists calendars etc.. now im getting a iphone 5 and want to use icloud and when i go into settings and choose icloud it freezes on verifyingmwith my wifes apple id and when i click delet this account it informs me it will delete the content from my phone . If it's stuck on verifying it's because she never responded to the verification email that Apple should have sent to the primary email address she used for the Apple ID she set it up with. She should check her inbox and spam/junk folder for this email and click on the Verify Now link to verify the account. If the email isn't there, she can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in, click on Name, ID and Email addresses on the left, then to the right click Resend under her Primary Email Address to resend the verification email.
Or, you can just delete the account (which is a misnomer since until verified the account isn't really created).
