Is it possible not to update Product Stock Quantity upon ADD TO CART event?

Greetings,
Is it possible that the Product Stock Quantity (In Stock) not to be updated on Add to Cart event or when the basket still exist?
And the updates/decrease of quantity will only happen when the customer have successfully paid or checked out.

Not at the moment no. BC removes the item from the system on add to cart.

Downloaded 4.0 UK-edition on my laptop, the 4.0 US-edition on my desktop, and the 4.0 UK-edition on a 2nd laptop.
On mine, updates to 4.0.1 are not found, some add-ons were taken off, as incompatible, that ran on the 4.0 on my desktop (and weren't on the 2nd laptop). Add-ons, now already even compatible with 4.0.1 (running on the 2nd laptop) will not run as 'incompatible' with 4.0 (though listed on the add-ons site as compatible.
It has stopped telling me that 'something' is pretending to be an update from Firefox (whatever that 'something' be?) since setting the browser to updating manually, but asking me first what to do. All currently installed add-ons have not asked me for some time (though on other computers), and also report as fully up-t0-date.
Ergo: Neither Firefox 4.0 nor any installed add-ons update correctly.
Didn't crash, though it 'likes' doing that after printing (always Badly! with dreadful printing options/previews), leaving two tabs (rather than the one before), both of which only can be shut from their context menus. Crash reports have been sent with same email address, but not been answered. This browser has all the qualities of a Beta-release and needs some serious overhauls (it's also not very new or much safer!).
Example for an add-on that won't install on 4.0, but will under 4.0.1: CookieMonster - which is desperately needed, given your browser still suffers from minimal, insufficient cookie management, incl. lists of domains that wish to set 'another' cookie when no cookies are as yet, allegedly, sitting on the computer.

I've since updated manually to 4.0.1, but haven't yet tried the full uninstall version, because I have to export plenty of settings first (and/or manually copy them). Also means I'd have to start from scratch with many customizations in No Script.
That said, I'll try the 'Safe Mode' option tonight, thank you :-)!
If I have to uninstall the whole shebang, I'd be more tempted to go back to 3.6.x until a few more of 4's teething problems (e.g. the messy print dialogues, particularly preview, which regularly doesn't even work) have been tackled.

FHMI is updating stock quantity when GR to PO (F)

Dear gurus,
in our system, if i do GR to PO with account assignment N to a material (material type FHMI), it is not updating the stock quantity.
if i do GR to PO with act.assignment F to the same material, it's updating the stock quantity!
the settings for the act.assignment F and N is the same (consumption posting V)
FHMI is quantity updating.
could you show me some clue on why this is the case?

Yes, unfortunately, the need for the storage location in this case is hard-coded in the system and I would advise you not to change it:
This depends on a System Table: T156SY: There is a field in this table (XLORT) which states whether the Storage Location is mandatory in a posting or not.
When you post to a material which makes quantity update (MENGU = X) and value update (WERTU =X) with no special stock (SOBKZ = empty), reference to a purchase order (KZBEW = B) and this purchase order is not a stock transport order (KZZUG = empty), you see the following table entries in this table:
(Note: Sorry for the wrong format!!!! but I did not manage to align the table entries here, please, check in your system the right display of the table T156SY with SE16):

So, as you see here, the storage location is not needed when you update the consumption (KZVBR = A or V). The storage location is only mandatory when the consumption is not updated.
If, you make the same posting but the material is not valuated (WERTU equals space), you find the following entries:

101                    X                       B                      A         WE06     ME01   X
101                    X                       B                      V         WE06     ME01   X
So, when the material is not valuated, the system requieres the storage location as mandatory entry (XLORT = X).
The program checks the contents of XLORT, and if the storage location is mandatory and it has not been entered, then sends the error message M7 018. Once the storage location is specified in the posting, the stock is updated in the corresponding table. The consumption is not increased this time.
As mentioned previously, this table T156SY is a system table, so I deeply recommend not to make any change at all in any of the fields of this table. This setting cannot be customized either, and no user exit or BAdI will modify this standard system behavior.
In answer to your second question, if you decide to make your material as no quantity update also, then, as you say, there will be no way in the system to force it to update the quantity later.

but both get rid of the "items added to cart" message and both reload the whole page which looks and feels rubbish!
i've decided to go to the shop cart using tag_buynow and added a continue shopping button using {module_goback,image}.
it's not the way i wanted the site to work but it's better than having clunky reloads and js not working.

Stock not getting updated after confirmation of order

In our scenario x is final product.x1( semifinished),x2(spare) are dependent materials for final product. x1 has bom r1 and r2 (raw materials).I put all x1,x2,r1,r2 stock available in storage.
To get final product , only final assy of above materials by labour.PIR (md61) created for x and planning run.After planning run, planned order generated for x and converted in to production order and released.
My requirement is on confirmation of production order, backflushing of dependent materials as per bom should be done.
On confirmation of order in co15,saved.But, stock is not getting updated.what might be the reason? please give me some solution

Hi
1.Set the Back Flush Indicator in your Material Master for the components. ( You can do this in Work center and Production Order too )
2. You can also set the flag for the field " All Components" in Order Confirmation Parameters (OPK4).
3. If you want to post the Fert also at the time of confirmation use the Control Key which has " Auto GR" enabled.
While confirming the Order press the Button "Goods Movement" to ensure that the components are present there for the movement.

Activity price not getting updated at Production order

Hi All,
I have made activity dependent planning at cost centre and calculated the activity rate. The activity rate is showing correctly for the cost centre in KP26, but while confirming the production order (CO11N) the the activity price is not getting updated in production order. But material price is getting properly updated at production order.
Plz help me in identifying the possible areas of mistakes.

Hi,
Please check the Period for which you have created the ht activity price is same as the period in the conformation. In the workcenter in which you are confirming please check whether the activities are assigned to the work center.

Product ID is not getting updated in SC Goods /Service field

Hi Gurus,
While creating shopping carts in EBP, we are able to find the Product ID from the Good/Service find option, but when we select the Product ID in the search, it's not getting updated in the SC Goods/Service field.Also when we try to find the Cost center / WBS using find button it's not going to the search area after software upgrade.
Could you please suggest us why system is behaving like this.

Any Idea on this.
Also few of the Product ID's are getting updated from the search help to Goods /Service field of the SC and some are not getting updated. while debug the SC , we are geeting the error message as BBP_SC006, Its relavant to catlog. But we are not transfering the Product from catlog to SC item.
The error mesage as: Good/Service & does not exist.

Overhead is not getting updated in the production order

Hi all,
I am running actual overhead calculation with KGI2.
But the overheads are not getting updated in the order.
Order contains relevant overhead key also.
What could be the possible causes?

I have maintained the % in the costing sheet against the 'Overhead rate' but I didn't get the secondary cost element.
Request you to elaborate it further & explain me how to maintain the same.
Also I will be thankful to you, if you could explain me the exact process of loading the overhead on the order i.e. how it loads the overhead form the cost center to order? What happens to the total cost which was lying on the cost center etc, in details.
Mean while I had maintained the required values in costing sheet in KZS2.
Maintained the % against material overhead rate as well as manufacturing overhead rate.
Maintained the credit values for the overhead rate.
Maintained the calculation base values also.
Now while overhead calculation with KGI2, I am getting two errors as follows,
1. S:K5:162 E02 20090831
2. Error CREDIT_SEGMENTS_ADD COIOB NOT FOUND for object
I can not figure out the reason.

Stock not getting update

hi,
i have done sub-contract process, in which after completion of MIGO (101 - 543 mvt), document had posted.
however in MMBE there is no stock.
MC.9 - stock is available

If you are ordering material for stock than only stock will be updated after goods receipt.
But if you are purchasing material with item category K, i.e. cost center, than u r ordering material directly for consumption. so it will not be updated in your stock. it will be shown as consumed by cost center K, as soon as you do goods receipt for the same.
This is why , your stock is not getting updated with PO with cost center item category.
you can also check in other way
Goto OMJJ and give the reuiqred movement types and check the VALUR and QUANITY UPDATE should be checked
Also you can check in OMS2 the VALUE and QUANITY update is checkd or not for MATERIAL TYPE

Material description is changed in R/3 same is not getting extracted in APO. However, other forecast data and transaction data of extracted successfully. Please note Product start data is maintained from few days onwards.

Go to CFC9 in R/3 and check what value do you see for material master change transfer:
1) If it's blank, you won't get changes from R/3 to APO. If your CIF jobs run daily, then change the value of 1. Changes will come to APo after CIF job for material will finish.
2) If it's 1, then you need to re-CIF the material to get the changes in APO
3) if it's 2, only then the changes are supposed to happen immediately when you change the description in R/3. If your setting is 2, then you need to check if an active integration model (IM) exists for your product or not. Go to CFM5, give your product and check if an active IM exists.
PS: not clear regarding your comments about forecast. Forecast could go from APO to R/3, and not the other way around.

Stock value is not getting updated in APO system From ECC automatically but if we do it manually from transaction CFM2 it will get updated.
for this we are using EXIT_SAPLCSTK_001.
I am using VL10A for delivery and VL06G for PGI
I have also checked integration model for material and stock.
Please help me out as it is very urgent.

for transferring the stock data from R/3 to APO automatically, you need to have the integration model for material and stock activated.
please check the same.
if this does not help, let me know in detail the steps which you are following..

Installed successfully, but can't update. Error "Serial Number is not for qualifying product"

I installed Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium (CS5) on a new PC (Windows 8.1). Installation was successful. I uninstalled it on old PC and de-activated it. My problem is that I can't Update. Without Updates, I can't read newer Canon photos (so I can't use Bridge or PhotoShop). In doing the install the first time, I put in an incorrect Adobe product number (I think from Elements 8.0, which I purchased years ago). I have re-installed twice using the correct serial number, but same result: I can't Update the programs and get a "Serial Number is not for qualifying product" error.. Please help. Dave

What product and version number are you talking about. Is it a trial version, or is it the full or subscription version. If the latter, activate the product with your S/N or Adobe ID and then do the updates.
