Is it possible to auto refresh a page at predetermined intervals

I would like to be able to set a page to auto refresh either on a continuous basis or at fixed (predetermined) intervals.
This would be very useful when working with multiple pages (as many as 12 pages) and would remove the necessity to use the 'reload current page' button on each of the pages loaded.
Useful when working on financial web sites which need to be updated regularly.

Maybe the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115/
ReloadEvery] extension can help.

  • Auto Refresh OBI Page for Current Day Only

    Hello Guru's
    I have a obiee page which needs to get refreshed every 30 seconds . I could able to do that using <META HTTP-EQUIV = "REFRESH" CONTENT = "30"> . But the triggy part is , auto refresh needs to be applied only for current day and not for any date range selected by user .
    Details :
    Prompts are defaulted to current date and time on the page, but user can also select date ranges as well . So the setting for auto refresh needs to apply only on current date (default prompt values) and not if the the user select data range .
    let me know if any of you guys have come across such .

    Check the below link and tweak it if needed.

  • How can I stop auto refreshing a new web page in XP immediately after its opened?

    In XP, once I access a new web page Firefox auto refreshes that page once the page is ~80-90% opened - how can i stop this refresh?

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

  • Auto Reload/Refresh of page or content

    I am a newb to Edge Animate and coding in general. I am developing a mobile web page with text on it. I need to update the text and have users see the updated text without having to reload/refresh the page themselves. Is there a way to have the page auto-refresh or another way to ensure people see the updated text if they already have the page loaded on their device?

    Hi Friend,
    Use Javascript utility for auto-refresh the page.
    Following example will be helpful to you:
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/JavaScript">
    <!--
    function timedRefresh(timeoutPeriod) {
              setTimeout("location.reload(true);",timeoutPeriod);
              alert("hi")
    //   -->
    </script>
    </head>
    <body onload="JavaScript:timedRefresh(5000);">
    <p>This page will refresh every 5 seconds. This is because we're using the 'onload' event to call our function. We are passing in the value '5000', which equals 5 seconds.</p>
    <p>But hey, try not to annoy your users too much with unnecessary page refreshes every few seconds!</p>
    </body>
    </html>
    Enjoy RIA

  • LUMIRA Server Auto refresh reports

    Hi,
    In Lumira Server 1.17. Is it possible to auto-refresh reports without refreshing the web page? Only when I refresh the page, then the data gets updated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Cherry,
    I believe the only option to schedule a refresh of a Lumira data set is when it is based on a .UNX universe. The BI 4.1 platform will enable this functionality from within the CMC. Here you can schedule a refresh and the data will be updated on the HANA platform.
    Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
    With kind regards,

  • FireFox won't auto-refresh specific site, other browsers do. How can I get FF to auto-refresh?

    I have a Help Desk application (everything HelpDesk) with a web interface. I keep my queue screen open so I can see new tickets come in and check status of existing tickets. FireFox does not auto-refresh this queue page so that new items or status changes show up. The page must be manually re-loaded in FireFox. However, other browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari) auto-refresh the queue page just fine. How can I get FireFox to auto-refresh this page?

    See:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > General : Accessibility : [ ] "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page"
    The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting.

  • Find My iPhone - auto refresh

    Is it possible to auto refresh "Find My iPhone".  This would allow me to use it as a tracking application and help my wife NOT get lost again!
    Thanks

    Yes.  With the location dispalyed on the map, click the Refresh arrow/circle in the upper left box to the right of My Devices.
    And as KT said, Find my Friends might work better for you.
    Or maybe a Garmin Nuvi for your wife?

  • Is it possible to return a database query without refreshing the page?

    I have a form which has a drop-down select box. What I want to do is send the value from the select list to a CFC which runs some SQL code and returns a recordset. I then want to use this recordset on my original CFM page that has the form on it.
    Is it possible to do this without refreshing the page through some kind of AJAX? Apologies I am a newbie at AJAX but I did manage to write a bit of code that uses <cfdiv> to bind to a URL that does the database work and returns some HTML. But really I just want the database recordset and not sure how to get it?

    You could use AJAX, Flex Remoting or any such remoting technique. That is, if there is a case for it. However, from what you describe in the first paragraph, you don't need to. Just send the form to its own page.
    In the following example, the CFC and CFM page are both in the same directory under the root. I have made use of the cfdocexamples datasource which ships with ColdFusion.
    Employee.cfc
    <cfcomponent>
    <cffunction name="getEmployeeDetails"  output="false" returntype="query">
    <cfargument name="employee_id">
    <cfset var employeeDetails = queryNew("","")>
    <cfset var emp_id = arguments.employee_id>
    <cfif isNumeric(emp_id)>
        <cfquery name = "employeeDetails" dataSource = "cfdocexamples">
            SELECT firstname, email as email_name, department, phone, location
            FROM Employees
            WHERE emp_id = <cfqueryparam cfsqltype="cf_sql_integer" value="#emp_id#">
        </cfquery>
    </cfif>
    <!--- Will activate error-handler in the caller --->
    <cfif NOT isNumeric(emp_id) or employeeDetails.recordcount EQ 0>
        <cfthrow message="You selected no employee.">
    </cfif>
    <cfreturn employeeDetails>
    </cffunction>
    </cfcomponent>
    testPage.cfm
    <cfif isDefined("form.employee_id")>
        <cfset employeeObj = createobject("component","Employee")>
        <!--- employeeDetails is a query--->
        <cfset employeeDetails = employeeObj.getEmployeeDetails(form.employee_id)>
        <cfdump var="#employeeDetails#">
    </cfif>
    <cfform action="#CGI.SCRIPT_NAME#">
    <cfselect name="employee_id">
    <option value="0">Employee</option>
    <option value="1">Carolynn Petersen</option>
    <option value="2">Dave Heartside</option>
    <option value="3">Linda Stewart</option>
    </cfselect>
    <cfinput name="sbmt" type="submit" value="Send">

  • Auto refresh or reload a page on Firefox for Android ?

    Is there a way to auto reload or refresh a page on Firefox for Android ?
    I looked at the extensions but I could not find any. I am using my tablet for Google Drive Slides and unfortunately their publish web page does not force the browser to refresh a page so the content do not change. The only solution I found is to auto reload a page. Dolphin has this add on but the full screen does not hide the status bar. Firefox full screen hides the status bar but there is no auto reload a page extension.
    Can someone help please?

    Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
    The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. <br>
    Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
    To clear cache and cookies, do the following:
    #Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner. This is the icon with 3 bars. On older Android devices you'll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap More.
    #Tap '''Settings'''.
    #After that, you will be taken to the settings screen. In the settings screen, look under the section '''''Privacy & Security''''' and select '''Clear private data'''.
    #You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared. Select the following 2 for deletion:
    #*Cookies & active logins
    #*Cache
    #After those have been selected, tap the '''Clear data''' button to actually clear the cache and cookies.
    Did this help you with your problems? Please let us know!

  • How can I make firefox highlight new unread items on Drudge when the page auto-refreshes

    So I read Drudge Report and checkit a few times a day. It would be nice to have the unread news items highlighted. The new items that appear after the page auto refreshes. It just occurred to me whilst writing this that I would have to open every link on the page to make the task of highlighting new content easier. I don't know but if there's a way to have the new unread items highlighted it would save time scanning the whole page for new stuff.
    Thanks,
    Mark

  • Is it possible to add auto refresh to an iweb site?

    Hi I am wondering if i can set an auto refresh on my iweb site as i sometimes regular users of my site have to clear cache to see revised data?

    Yes, paste this in the <head> section of your webpage :
    <meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0; URL=name_of_page.html">
    Your webpage will refresh indefinitely. Change the 0 (zero) to a higher number in seconds.
    Anyway, you will annoy your visitors.
    Leave it to them to clear the browser cache. Do not decide too much for others.
