And if so what apps are supported.
And will gta 3, vice city, San Andreas and dead trigger 2 work with it.

The only game I know of that does this is "The Incident" - it's not a built-in iOS feature. The developers of that game specifically have allowed it.

Is it possible to change the tempo mid-song in GarageBand for iPad? And if so, how do you do it?

The tempo setting applies to the whole song, but only to the recorded midi instruments or loops. It's a bit of a kludge, but you could record different sections at different tempos, export each as an AIFF file, then glue them together in a new project.
The same goes for the key.

  • Iad Camera Connection Kit (USB) + USB Electric guitar + GarageBand for iPad

    Hi,
I wonder if the USB Camera Connection will work with an USB Mic or Electric Guitar and if I'll be able to use this with GarageBand for iPad.
    Thanks,

Hi I have one that looks exactly like the Behringer but in black and made in china. No trademark. It must be the pirated version which I got for $30-$35 USD in Mexico. I connected it through the CCK to the ipad (1) using the newest OS 4.2 or 4.3 and I was able to tune the guitar. I couldn't hear a thing but the notes appeared. Then I was able to record a track but still no sound. I played it back and it came low. I'm still figuring it out, but it seems that it might work.

  • Limit on devices per user that can connect to Office Mobile or Office for iPad apps?

We are are on an E3 license for Office 365. What is the maximum number of devices that a user can connect to the various mobile apps? I had hard 5 was the max, but can not find any documentation to support this. We are interested in using both Office Mobile
and the new Office for iPad apps and want to understand any restrictions at the user level. Thanks.

    Hi,
You are correct 5 devices max per user, these devices could be a PC/Tablet/Phone etc... (they all count as a device)

  • Wired Connection to An AE that is extending network via wifi

I have 2 Airport Extremes. The first is a 2nd Gen model the other is a 4th Gen.
The 2nd Gen model is connected to our modem and has made a working home network for a number of wired and wireless devices.
I also have an older mac pro with no wi-fi card installed. What I'd like to do is use the 4th gen Extreme to connect to the Mac Pro via ethernet to get the mac pro on the network via the wifi Capability of the Extreme.
Using one of the other computers I have been able to configure the 4th Gen to extend the network via wifi and other wifi macs can see it on the network and it appears to be working as expected but when I connect the old mac pro I get no networking or internet through it.
The mac pro's network control panel shows it as being connected through wi-fi even though it is actually an ethernet cable into the 4th gen AE. Selecting ethernet gets me nothing.  The mac pro also doesn't seem to be getting the correct IP addresses.
Is there an incompatibility between the 2nd and 4th gen models that I'm unaware of that won't let them do this?
Just to reiterate I'm trying to go:
    Modem---> 2nd Gen Extreme---> Via WiFi to ---> 4th Gen Extreme ---> Mac Pro's Ethernet.
    Can it be done?
    Thanks

In order to enable the Ethernet ports on the 4G Extreme for the Mac Pro, both AirPorts need to be configured for an extended network. Please read through the steps provided in the link to see if you may have missed any steps.

  • Not possible to connect with Mac OS X v10.6.2 via VPN to smb://nameserver

    Hi al,
I have a MacBook Pro. At the company I can connect my MacBook Pro without problems via the LAN to the company servers by using smb://nameserver
At home I use a VPN connection to connect my MacBook Pro to the LAN at the company.
The VPN connection between home and company is working well, because I can “run” web-based applications, using htpp://xxxx.xx via Safari.
But the connection to the smb://nameserver is not working (in the past it worked well!) and I get the following message from Mac OS X : “Connection failed. The server “nameserver” may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, an then try again.”
If I run, at home, the program “Parallel Desktops” I can make a VPN connection via Windows Vista, and connect to the same servers without problem.
Is there anybody who can help me?

    Hi
If you're trying to connect using the server's name you have to know which host server to use to resolve the name. If you don't know simply use its IP address:
    eg: instead of: smb://servername
use: smb://IPaddress (this would be the private non-routable IP address)
This should work? Depending which VPN Method you're using to Tunnel to the host network and how the host network is configed it may not do name resolution that well.
If it used to work in the past it may have been because a static entry for the host network's DNS Server was placed in your Network Preferences Pane? Or if your connection was via PPTP or L2TP appropriate LAN settings were assigned once the connection was made to the host site? In other words a set of IP addresses matching the host site's LAN IP topology.
Perhaps the current method you're using now of building the VPN Tunnel is via IPSec IKE/ISKAMP? In which case you may have to 'tell' your remote network which DNS Server to use at the host site for name resolution.
A possible reason why it 'works' for the Windows side is because name resolution - most of the time - gets by without using fully qualifiable domain names. For example pinging an IP address in DOS to find a name works (most of the time) if you simply supply just the server name. This is not necessarily the case on the mac.

  • Is it possible to connect a local file server to 365 onedrive via sharepoint?

We have our local 2012 file server with everyones document directories and common shares. We use AD and have all user accounts defined. As part of our K12 licensing we have Office 365 E1 for all staff, so I set up the Azure AD Sync and we now have all the
staff accounts set up in 365 and people can work on Office from home.
The problem is that everyone wants their files from home as well, ideally in their OneDrive. OneDrive for Business doesn't seem to have a mechanism to sync all the files from our file server to each persons OneDrive automatically. I read somewhere that I
can do it by using SharePoint as a intermediary - that is I can set up a local sharepoint that syncs the fileserver to sharepoint, then I can set up the 365 sharepoint to sync between the onprem sharepoint and the 365 OneDrives.
This seems like a massive pain but is it doable? is there a better way or is it not possible and sharepoint/local files will always be separate from Onedrive?  it seems like such a common and obvious request for people who can't dump local file servers.
    Mark

not all to each, just duplicating our current system. Each user has a few hundred mb of files (on average) and there is a common drive with a few hundred gb.
Right now the assumption by Microsoft is that each user will individually install the local Onedrive app and sync their C: drive documents folder to their Onedrive. In our case we have the documents stored centrally and the onedrive app will not sync a network
folder. I am looking for some method of making it happen.

  • Is it possible to connect I pad to plasma screen for presentations if so what do you do

I would like to connect my iPad to plasma screen for presentation purposes I have the connetor but cannot get an image on my tv screen any comments

I have the componet (i.e. RCA plug) apple adapter and it will let me play music and movies onto my tv screen but it will not mirror the iPads screen on there.
I just ordered another componet cable and an HDMI adapter from apple so I will have one on each tv in my house.  Still have two older style TVs in my house, only one LCD with HDMI and VGA.
So if you want to play something on the screen I would say the HDMI adapter probably.  Next the VGA and don't really bother with the componet cable adapter.

  • Is it possible to connect a wireless video camera to the ipad 2?

I've been sucessfully clearing the clutter from my Dashboard by using the ipad 2.  I have all my music (goodbye satalite radio) and I have gps navigation (goodbye TomTom) and the laptop is no longer used on  the road since the ipad is there.   I would like to put a camera on the pack of my travel trailer to aide in backing and getting around tight spots, but I don't want another small screen on my dash.  is there a camera that I can mount on the back of the trailer that can be wirelessly connected to the Ipad?
    Doug

    Doug-
I don't believe there is.  If there was, there would also need to be an App that would provide the iPad's interface to the remote camera.  I suggest you search the iTunes App store in case someone has such a system.

  • Can't connect from mavericks (MBP) to mountain lion (MacPro) via Wifi

i am trying to google for answers to this and i just come up with answers about connections to printers or hdmi or TV's etcetera.
the problem is that i can connect to my laptop (macbook pro) from my desktop (mac pro) but i can't connect from my laptop (MBP) to my desktop (mac pro). i used to be able to do this but for some reason all i see if "Share Screen" or "Disconnect" and my iCloud Account is listed as "Connected As" but there is no data shown in Finder.
does anyone know what search terms i can google for or if there is a Settings section that i should be checking?
i tried dragging the Mac Pro icon out of the Shared section and i tried hitting disconnect as well as restarting both machines and turning off wifi on the laptop (hmmm. maybe i will shut both down at the same time...?) and so far no solutions.
right now i have to go to the desktop to move files around and this is a major pain.
i can see the network and i can print...
    THANKS for any help

hi. thank you. this is really aggravating. i am checking the mac pro this morning (it is the one i cannot access from my laptop) and attached is the screenshot. does this look OK?
also, i am starting to wonder is it possible that the "Computer Name" has changed itself on the network or is it possible that i have some control over /naming/ the computer? it seems to often be named "MyName Mac Pro (2)" which always bothers me since there is no 1 Mac Pro and i would like to get rid of the appended 2.
but ALSO i don't recall ever having changed anything in system preferences so i am wondering if somehow the computer renamed itself or something weird has happened.
finally, is it possible something is amiss with the fact that FINDER says it is connected via my icloud EMAIL account at the top of the Finder window on my Laptop whereas when i check just now on the desktop it shows that i am connnected as the SHORT NAME of my LAPTOP. i mean, when i connec tto the laptop from the desktop it shows me connected as the short name of the laptop but when i connect to the desktop as the laptop - it says i am connnected as the name of my ICLOUD ACCOUNT and i am thinking it should say i am connected as the name of my MAC PRO SHORT NAME.
you know what i mean? is there a place in the LAPTOP to check where i input what name and password i am connecting to the Mac Pro under...
    THANK YOU

  • How do I connect my I phone 4s to my iPad 3 wifi  by Bluetooth

    How do I connect my I pad 3 to my I phone4s

    From the iPhone Manual:
    Personal Hotspot
You can use Personal Hotspot (iPhone 4 or later) to share an Internet connection with a computer or other device—such as an iPod touch, iPad, or other iPhone—connected to your iPhone via Wi-Fi. You can also use Personal Hotspot to share an Internet connection with a computer connected to iPhone via Bluetooth or USB. Personal Hotspot works only if iPhone is connected to the Internet over the cellular data network.
Note: This feature may not be available in all areas. Additional fees may apply. Contact your carrier for more information.
Share an Internet connection: Go to Settings > General > Cellular and tap Set Up Personal Hotspot—if it appears—to set up the service with your carrier.
After you turn on Personal Hotspot, other devices can connect in the following ways:
W-Fi: On the device, choose your iPhone from the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
USB: Connect your iPhone to your computer using the cable that came with it. In your computer’s Network preferences, choose iPhone and configure the network settings.
Bluetooth: On iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth. To pair and connect iPhone with your device, refer to the documentation that came with your computer. When a device is connected, a blue band appears at the top of the iPhone screen. Personal Hotspot remains on when you connect with USB, even when you aren’t actively using the Internet connection.
Note: The Personal Hotspot icon appears in the status bar of iOS devices using Personal Hotspot.
Change the Wi-Fi password for iPhone: Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot > Wi-Fi Password, then enter a password of at least 8 characters.
Monitor your cellular data network usage: Go to Settings > General > Usage > Cellular Usage.
