The App Store has many useful business related apps: Word processors, spreadsheets, presentation apps, CRM apps. Maps is useful for navigating to appointments. Newstand for reading periodicals related to business.

The MPEG2-DVD preset also produces a DVD spec-legal file. If you use the generic MPEG2 preset, you can too easily create an out-of-spec file that will have to be re-transcoded by En.

Since upgrading to Mav, I can not get the program to launch and am getting no pop up to tell me what is going on. It let me open and start a project at first, but then I was half way through and it crashed and I lost everything and now will not launch at all. right now just to get yer work done, get ahold of any OS that will run iM6HD and get it done. then dump MAVRICKS (wait till 10.9.2 at least) and retro back to OSX 10.6..or 10.7 (if you have it). I use FCExpress4 on 10.6....you might want to consider keeping a dedicated mini or something that ONLY runs your editing sw. I have 2 older machines that I will never upgrade because the editing SW wont run on the newwer OSs.

ask if they have any apple stuff that has Mavricks probs. bridzillas only happen when they are out of the loop. Keep them informed. but ...also be ready to duck.

After downloading 3.6.17, the application only opens from the desktop and will not show up as an application.

Didn't like 4.0, so I deleted it and downloaded the .dmg to reinstall 3.6.17. The app opens fine but I did not get the usual installation screens and Firefox does not show as an application.

When I plug in my sony hdd handycam to my mac it comes up on the desktop but will not appear in iMovies. Therefore I cannot import the video I want.

It is very frustrating. It will not come up as an option in the 'import video' window. I can only import video that is recorded from the 'in built' camera on my computer. Any one know how I can overcome this?? I would really appreciate any help.

it takes too long... and the computer (macbook air) gets very hot when I do that. it worked 2 weeks when i tried it but as it was new then, i wasn't paying attention at how or what I did to get it. OK. In iTunes on the computer, since you have the ringtones there, one simple method to try would be to drag them to the desktop, and then directly from the desktop to your phone in the Devices menu in iTunes.

My MacBook Pro 10.6.8 will not respond to any key of pad once it goes to sleep. I need to hold the power button down, then close the lid, open the lid and hit the power button for it to re-boot. I have tried having Disk Utility fix permissions and that has not helped. I would sure appreciate any and all asistance.

I just followed the latest updates from Apple to Safari and now I can't play any Yahoo games. The first notice said to reload Java which I did and it still will not work. I am very dissapointed in Apple for this, being a 20 plus year customer. And there does not seem to be an easy way to figure this out.

Installing the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) will reinstall any missing system files.
Then restart your Mac and launch Safari.
Then go to Safari > Preferences > Security
Make sure Java is selected.
It's ok to do this even though v10.7.5 is already installed.

Question. Is it possible to turn off the annoying 'beep' sounds when using the keyboard? I know I could just turn down the sound on the top but that defeats the obtject.

In the options goto KEYBOARD and just lower the feedback control to what ever level make you confortable

Desktop Manager will not recognise my Tour

I have seen many posts on this issue but have not yet found a solution that works for me
The Desktop Manager will not recognise that my device is connected - although the Blackberry Device Manager does, and the compter recgnizes the connection of the removeable disk.
I have completely removed the desktop program and the device manager and used regedit to remove all of the registry entries. The downloaded the most recent upgrade both from Verizon and from RIM. Installed the programs and every thing works - I can sync - the Desktop Manger recognizes the phone conection. All is good and I think I've solved the problem
UNTIL.......... I restart the computer. The the Desktop no longer recgnizes the phone and once again I can no longer sync.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit version. I have tried the following with no success:
Run Desktop as adminstrator
Run Desktop in XP compatability Mode
and of course the reinstall as described above.
I was a long time user of the Palm Treo and switched when Palm quit supporting it.
Is there no way to concect to someone with RIM product support without purchase of a hugely expensive made for big business support contract?
HELP - anyone - I am very close to tossing the phone in the garbage and purchasing a product that works as it is supposed to and that provides product support!!!!!!!

Also, check that you are using only root USB ports...no hubs (sometimes the front-side ports are hubs...use a rear USB port). And make sure to try disabling USB power management in your system configuration (Device Manager).
Apologies in advance if this is redundant -- there's no way to be sure if you've already seen and tried these.
