Is it possible to have Iweb generate forms?

Ok, I have a masked website on .mac for my company. I produce skating seminars for kids. Now:
1) I have read it is possible to link a paypal icon, so I can accept payment that way I see
2) I can put a pdf of the registration form to fill print, fill out and email/mail back to me
HOWEVER, is there anyway to make a page that is the registration that they enter this in fields I guess..and then when they are done and you click a button it does:
a) send them a copy and myself of their info
b) sends them directly to the paypal to pay....
this way, payment is made the same time I get their registration info...
Anybody know if this is possible, or if there is another way to "cheat" this problem with another idea?
THANKS MAC BUDDIES!

I think Freedback can do this for you... http://www.freedback.com
You can make a free form for yourself there with all of your custom fields. One of the configuration options, if I remember correctly, is to send your visitors to a particular page when they are finished filling out the form. You can specify your PayPal payment page for this URL.
Placing the Freedback form on your iWeb page will take a little bit of HTML editing, but it's not too difficult. I think varkgirl has a page on this. Here it is...

Of course, if you have any questions about this process, feel free to post them here. We'll get you on the right track one way or another!

    An automated second page.

    There are two approaches.
If you wish to use AcroForm technology, then you would need to write a bunch of JavaScript to enable this.  It has been done, but it’s not trivial.
If you wish to use XFA technology, then it can be setup to happen automatically.
Be aware that in both cases, even though both technologies are part of the PDF standard, that the forms will only be usable in this manner in Adobe’s viewers as many others don’t support JavaScript or XFA.

  • Is it possible to have a PDF Form that is both static and dynamic?

So I have a form that I need to make that would consist of two different pages. The first being lots of form fields and some simple graphics where the user could use the comment markup tools to draw some simple lines. The second page would be all text and filling out narrative. So the second page being dynamic and being able to expand would be important. The first page would not need to expand at all. Is there any way to do this and still have the form be one file, one document? What about embedding a dynamic form inside of the static form? Such as how you can embed a word document inside of an excel form... I've done some research but I can't tell if this is even possible. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I kinda figured that... Really too bad. Seems lke it should be possible somehow. Anyway, do you all have any suggestions about the best way to combine a static form that is really just text fields and such (that comments and markup tools can be used in) with another page that is sections of narrative that would need to be able to flow?
Or better yet, a way to draw lines on to a form without using the comment and markup function?
I like your idea about connecting two forms - but I need to keep the final product as simple as possible. Once the user fills it out, they would be to be able to submit it and it show up as one file, even if that is just a flat file. I don't expect you all to tell me how to do this, but it would be nice to know its possible before I commit to the project and research. Thanks in advance.

  • Is it possible to have HTML generated from a PSD?

    Hello,
I have been working as Web developer for 6 years.
Usually PSD files are given to me, I get images from it and I build web application HTML code from scratch.
I know we can create slices from Photoshop in order to save PSD files in HTML pages. But it just creates a page layout, nothing more (afaik).
I am wondering how can we go further into HTML generation with Photoshop or other Adobe products (Dreamweaver?). I don't know Adobe product at all, maybe is it a way to generation complex HTML code from Photoshop ? I know some CSS generation (gradient for example), but is there a way to generate complex HTML ?
Usually, as Web integrator/developer, how do you work with PSD files ? Do you create HTML from scratch ? Do you use some products to save time ?
Thank you for sharing your experience ;p

    Hi Frodon,
Right this very minute Adobe is announcing at their Create Now event a new Photoshop for Creative Cloud feature that allows you to export CSS code from Photoshop objects!
If you are a Creative Cloud subscriber, try updating and you will have the new feature. For more info check out the Photoshop blog: http://blogs.adobe.com/photoshopdotcom/2012/12/photoshop-cs6-illustrator-cs6-update-availa ble-for-creative-cloud-members-mac-customers.html

  • Nested Tab Pages in 100% Generated Forms

    Hi all,
Creating a Forms (9i) application, hopefully to be 100% Designer 9.0.2.6 generated. Trying to find out if it is possible to generate nested tab pages.
    eg.
    example table structure
    Employee
    |-Employee history
    |-Employee skills
    | |--Employee skills history
    | |--Employee skills details
    |-Employee time bookings
In this case, employee is the Master table with a tab section for the detail - three tabs for history, skills and time booking. On the skills tab page, I want to use skills as a master table and then have history and details as two tab pages on another tab section within the whole skills tab page.
Is this scenario possible in a 100% generated form?
    Thanks,
    Michael.

    Hi Michael,
Someone correct me if I am wrong on this, but I believe this is not possible. Only stacked item-groups display as nested tabs on a tab page. Master-detail with the details as tabs is not possible on a tab page.

  • Is it possible to create a standard form that can be emailed to anyone and once filled out by the receiver, have a button that the receiver clicks and the form is encrypted and attached an email back to the sender and a preset admin password would open it

    Hello Graphicsguy123,
You would need to first create the form ( or Widget in EchoSign) first to generate a url which you can paste it in the email being sent to customers. You would need to make sure you have a Document Cloud Enterprise Premium account in order to create a Widget. If you don't have the account, you can use the trial version to test it. • In RoboHelp 11 Responsive HTML5, is it possible to have 2 different language outputs in one generated output file?

In RoboHelp 11 Responsive HTML5, is it possible to have 2 different language outputs in one generated output file, similar to WebHelp where the use can select the language from a drop-down list? In Webhelp output you could create multiple Content categories. Is there something similar with the responsive output, or am I forced to have a completely separate set of output files for each language (for example, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic)?

As Rick, mentions, there's no default way.
Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. You can add a kind of language selector to the layout and set that for every html5 output. With some JavaScript, you can have the user switch between your outputs. It would look like content categories, but you'll have build it yourself.

  • Is it possible to have copy to clipboard take entries in text boxes on a fillable form as well as the form fields Windows?

Is it possible to have copy to clipboard take entries in text boxes on a fillable form as well as the form fields in Adobe Reader Windows? When I create the forms is there some javascript or possibly a setting that would allow the end user to copy to clipboard the form fields and their entered text. Or another option that would work is to have only the entries in the text boxes copy to clipboard. Is that even possible?

Copying fields is not possible in Reader.

Yes, one needs to use some custom JavaScript code to control the other fields' properties.

  • Acrobat form fields- is it possible to have a sign-in validation before proceeding?

I am building an interactive pdf for one of my clients. She would like for me to create a registration form on page 1, which would be a mandatory sign-in delivered to an online data base.
Here is my question: Is it possible to create a pdf registration form that only allows access to the rest of the pdf once they have completed the form?
    Any information is much appreciated!
    Wendy

There are various ways this can be done, but none of them will work 100% of the time.
    For example, you could:
    - Hide all the form fields until the user fills in the data on the first page
    - Use a script to prevent the user from leaving the first page until the form is filled
    - Place the rest of the file in an attached PDF which will be opened when the user fills the form

  • Is it possible to have a form that is completed in sections?

is it possible to have a form that is completed in sections with each section being submitted when it is completed until the last and final section is eventually submitted?

    Hi,
You cannot submit a form by sections, but you may fill out sections of the form and save it and then submit the form at the end when you have completed all sections of the form. Here is how to enable the function to allow users to save web form data over a period of time: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-4135.
    Thanks,

  • Is it possible to have a form for 2 individuals to complete before submitting?

Is it possible to have a form for 2 individuals to complete before submitting? The first person will fill out a portion of the form and the second person will fill out the rest of the form and submit.

You can create a submission-enabled PDF first. Ask the first person to fill out his or her portion of the PDF form and save the file. Send the saved file to the second person and have him or her to fill out the rest of the PDF form and submit.
    To create submission-enabled PDF
    1. Click on the Distribute Tab
    2. Click on the "Save Sumbission-Enabled" PDF button.

  • Livecycle Designer 8 - Is it possible to have button to clear fields after user has clicked submit by email button so user can reuse form to send another response with different answers?

Users will use form to fill in stats for enquiries so they want to keep form open, complete a form, click button to submit by email, then click another button to clear form, form now ready to accept form's responses.  They dont' want to keep opening form each time form needs to be completed.
    Hope you help.
    Thanks Sandra

    Hi,
Thanks for your response, not sure what you mean by a loop.  I put together
a draft form to show staff in our Knowledge Centre the sort of thing
    Livecycle Designer can do.
(See attached file: Library  Request  Form_pub_0001.pdf)
They are currently writing out on form and manually putting into excel to
    keep stats on the requests.
Due to current Global Financial Crisis my section does not want to spend
extra money at the moment seeking assistance from our tech heads.  So we
are looking for least work no expense option for keeping stats.  I am a PA
who just happens to have Livecycle program on my computer.
We use Lotus Notes so I thought the staff could save copy of Library
request form in the stationery folder.  The staff using the form want to be
    able to do the following:
    1. open the Library request form at the beginning of the day;
    2. when a request comes in, complete the form and click on Send by email
    button
    3. click on a Clear Data button to clear all data from all fields so the
form is open ready for when the next request comes in.
Staff are time poor and, as this is only one of their numerous duties, they
don't want to keep going to a location and opening a file which can be very
    slow on some days
Each day form may be filled out by approximately 15 staff who may receive
    anything from 0 - 4 requests a day.
I am not a tech head so script writing is a deep, dark mystery.  Can you
help using the form above as an example for achieving step 3 above.
    Thanks,

if i understand this correctly, you just want everything cleared whena
    buttons is pressed?
you can either do it individually:
    on button click:
    mytextField.rawData=""
or do a loop, using child/paretns..
