so me and my frineds all ways text eachother. but we wanna know what other pople say to each other too. so is there an app that has 3 way instant messaging? is it possible to make one? if i knew how to use xcode and make apps i would get on it, but i dont. so im asking you guys for help.

Sure, you can create an app that only opens up a PDF. The usual place for that kind of stuff is in the application's bundle, which Xcode will do if you add the PDF to your project.

in a perfect world, you do know the recording date, and you simply scroll to that date.
in a very perfect world, all your other imports are already tagged, so just have to create a smart list 'unrated' ...

How to make an app that uses plugins???

Hello All,
I am relatively new to programing and i have never done some thing like this so what i would like to know is.
How can i make an app that can get/load plugins from a folder and then use them to copy files from one place to another(i got he copy part down just need the plugin part.
And then i need to know how to parse the location of the file that needs to be copied and the folder it needs to be copied to into the plugin.

What you do it to define a common interface which plugins have to implement. Typically you place the .class files for the plugins in a special directory (not on the class path) and you create a URLClassLoader to load the plugin classes. Class names (FQNs) for plugins are usually in some kind of configuration file.
One you load the class you'll usually create a single instance (with Class.newInstance()) and cast it to the common interface. It's simpler to use a no-args constructor and define some kind of initialize method in the interface to initialise the plugin. Typically you pass some kind of context object when you initialize the plugin, which the plugin can use to comunicate with the framework.

Is it possible to make a button that adds extra pages?

I'm trying to make a form that consists of three pages. However, I would like to have a button at the bottom of page 2 that can be used to duplicate page 2 as a continuation sheet - including the same button, which could then be used to create a 3rd copy as another continuation sheet if needed, and so on.
I can't think of a way of doing it. Even if I managed to duplicate the page, the new copy would be pre-populated because the fields would have the same names. Therefore I'm now wondering if it's possible to make a button that would effectively unhide entire pages to achieve the same thing. Then I could perhaps create the form with nine copies of page 2, and unhide them one at a time based on use of the button. Again though, I'm not sure that's possible, and even if it is it would be pretty inelegant.
Anyone have any bright ideas or alternative approaches I might not have considered?

It is possible to do using the templates feature. If it needs to work with Reader, the only version that supports it without having to apply usage rights with LiveCycle Reader Extensions ($$$$) is Reader 11, so all of your Reader users would have to update to the latest version.
Templates can be spawned so that the fields are automatically renamed, avoiding the issue you mentioned.

Apps on the iPhone are sandboxed. That means they only have access to their own files. They cannot see the files of other apps or of the system. This is for security reasons.
There are some apps that present a list of files, like Air Sharing, for you to manage, but there is nothing like the Finder.

It could be as simple as clipping an image of the fabric of your choice, to a text layer.

Just FYI, Whatsapp is not free indefinitely even on Android phones. They give a one-year trial period after which you have to pay per year for the subscription (a miniscule amount, but you have to pay nonetheless), whereas with the iOS app you pay once up front and then don't have to pay again. So in the long run, the iOS version comes out cheaper (at least unless Whatsapp changes their pricing model). And also just FYI, Whatsapp doesn't work on the iPod touch, only on the iPhone.
In any case, as planb77 said, pricing is totally up to the developer of the app. It's completely the developer's choice what price to charge for an app.

Automator: how to make an app that accepts hyperlinks dropped on it?

I tried using the 'get specified url' action but it doesn't make the app capable of accepting hyperlinks dropped on it. what i am trying to do is...
1. drop hyperlinks from a certain webpage onto the app.
2. make the app scan that hyperlinks webpage for urls in it.
3. filter urls i want
4. download those urls.
when i use the workflow it works fine. but automator freezes all the while it downloads it and i can't run more such download in parallel. so i want to make and app. when i saved the work flow as an app it wont accept any input. any help?

Hi Bala, you are right, the user must be able to give discounts to items that can be discounted. Most often the discounts will come from the BP price list and associated special and hierarchic pricing.
As Rakesh suggested, I shall run it by our client if they would want to limit discount ability across the board for their users through General authorizations and perhaps allow for only some users who could override manual discounts to certain limits. Again it pertain to the ability to override manual discounts on top of BP discounts through list for all items for some users only.

Trying to make a app that transfers files over bluetooth in java

I am trying to make a program that will send a audio file (for example test.mp3) to another device.
This would be set up as client - server application.
Ideally, the server would be a PC and the client a mobile device.
Is there any source code similar to this?
Or can anyone help make this?

Using EnumerateFiles instead of GetFiles doesn't actually avoid the UnauthorizedAccessException that is commonly encountered then SearchOption.AllDirectories is used. There's no way to avoid this problem except by dealing with each directory individually.
And some side notes:
the "select new { File = file }" is completely unnecessary
DirectoryInfo.EnumerateFiles should be used instead of Directory.EnumerateFiles. Enumerating file paths and then creating FileInfo objects is slower than enumerating FileInfo objects in the first place.
No one said EnumerateFiles instead of GetFiles will solve the Unauthorized exception.
Second comment the property File is used within the loop.
The third comment has no effect with lazy execution, and please prove that it is slower. This comment must be sent against the "GetFiles" method not there."The EnumerateFiles and GetFiles methods

you can start enumerating the collection of names before the whole collection is returned; when you use GetFiles,

Make an app that connect to MSSQL server by single sign on

A straightforward task. I want to create an GUI app that can connect to MSSQL 2014 express when user run it.
Lets say a domain user name "peterpan" was grant modify right of certain database in SQL server.
After user login Win7, then run the app. It auto log on to the SQL server and show a list of database for choose to modify.
The problem is i cant find any info about single sign on vc++ code/library for reference.
The app is plan to written by vc++ with MFC, ATL. Are these libraries has the method to do want i want?

Sure. Here's the high level of 20 years of history of Microsoft data access APIs :)
First there was ODBC, which is still the most widely-used and adopted API for data access from unmanaged code.
Then various COM (Component Object Model) wrappers and new libraries were introduced, including ADO, DAO, and RDO which were all higher-level wrappers meant to simplify data access. And OleDB was introduced which is a COM low-level data access API,
similar to ODBC.
