Is it possible to underline a reminder?

(For the short version see below)
I have an 8 gig (now 5.4 gig) iPhone 4s. I never meant to update to iOS 8 but I screwed up and now I'm stuck with it. Not sure if that is important for my concern is really more about security and privacy than anything else. Here's the story: I was waiting on my buddy to call me back and come over but he took too long and I fell asleep. I always leave my phone on vibrate so when he called I didn't hear it. A couple hours pass and I wake up as, oddly enough, someone else is calling. I don't answer because I don't know the number and I'm just waking up. I realize I missed my buddies calls, about 6 or 7 missed calls, and I call him back. I talk with him for just a few minutes and we hang up. Then, not more 10-15 minutes after I first awoke I happen to glance down at my phone and see a reminder on the screen. A reminder to call back the person I just talked to. And I didn't create the reminder. I have used the reminders app exactly one time before this reminder popped up on my screen and that single instance was several months ago. And I wasn't even talking to this person several months ago. I can understand if you're skeptical. But I did not create it and as far as I know, other people can't create a reminder on their phone and send it to someone else and have it appear as though they created it. And not only that when I look through the options to try and duplicate I hit a wall because, as far as I know, YOU CAN'T UNDERLINE REMINDERS. And yet here it is glaring me in the face. If I'm mistaken and all this is quite common I will gladly admit my stupidity but all my searches have come up basically nil on this subject. The one thing I did find while doing internet searches was about an app from Cydia that lets you customize reminders in such a way. But to the best of my knowledge, my device is not jailbroken. Any and all ideas are welcome. Please don't be shy and if I've left a gaping hole in the story please let me know. I've been over this so many times in my head, it wouldn't surprise if at this point I left out some critical detail unintentionally.

It's very easy to accidentally create a reminder to call someone back. When someone calls you, there is a small button over the red "Decline" button labeled "Remind Me". If you tap, the call will be declined and a reminder to call back will be created. Easy enough to do if you're groggy and fumbling for the to make it shut up. If you weren't paying attention or were unaware of the feature, it might seem as if you had simply declined the call.

Or, you can use QT Pro to concatenate files. Open up the file you want to add to all the others and copy it.
Then open up each file in QT player, move the playhead to the end of the file and select "Add to Movie" from the menu. Then save it.

Is it possible to print the Reminder list?

I downloaded the "Reminder" app which I love. However, I can't seem to figure out how to print the list. Any tips?

Looking for a tip! Take a print screen of the open app: it will automatically save to the Photos app. Next, open it in the Photos app, click Edit and then go to Crop. Next, exclude everything but the white background with the list. Save, and then Print via the method peculiar to your iPad.

------ Underlining words in Final Cut?????

I have 2 simple questions:
(1) I was wondering if it is possible to underline words when you are applying text. There are drop down options for bold and italic, but not underline. Any suggestions?
(2) When you are applying text, is it possible to only bold or italicize one word without affecting the rest of the words in the box, or do you have to create another track to separate each effect?

Underline / underscore

Is it possible to underline/underscore text in InDesign?
I see the options (of course) in the text drop-down (regular, etc.) but I don't see an underline option.
Than you, and pardon the potentially obvious question.

The text dropdown that shows "regular etc." is for font styles (and other than, for example, Word, it only shows font styles that are actually installed on your system).
Take a look at this composite image: 3 ways to apply Underline.
Top right: in the Control bar, with the character formatting options selected (that's the little 'A' icon at the far left).
Center bottom: in the Character panel flyout menu.
Center right (well, not actually visible): using the default short Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + U.

Reminder for open Orders of Costumer who made a New order

Hello Experts
When adding a new Order to costumer, I want a Reminder or a Pop-up Block/notice That will tell me if this Costumer already have open orders in the system.
And this for the reason of merging or combining a few orders together into one package for same costumer.
Sometimes orders shipped out without notice that another order had shipped a day before to same costumer.
Is it possible to make this kind of pop-up/block/Reminder?
Is it possible to make this reminder written in the Order Document edit?

I am familliar with Pick & Pack and it does'nt sutible for our company. maybe in the future, but for now; the inventory quantities are not always 100% correct in our SAP records (We are a small company and still not perfect) whice causes some issues with this Manager (because it's always rely on Available qty).

About your question: In my company, a Sales order is being made by the Clerk, Then sent to the Stocker to Pick the package, after full Packing of the pallet, the stocker notify the clerk. then the Clerk is able to produce an A/R Invoice and arrange shipping.
The problem happening when one order is being packed and put a side for waiting shipment. then another order for the same Client is being proccessed, the Stocker pick it up, and pack it. this causes a cituation of two diffrent packages for same client.
The first package could sent out during the picking of the other one or even an Hour before. it's the same principle. eventually there are two shipping cost for us. instead of pack it all together in same pallet.
I would like to create a FMS query (as gordon suggest me) to triger inside the Order form, during the adding new order. and putting the clients name. it will triger a note or warning on a rubric i choose.
IF [Cardcode] has open orders THEN note "Attention - client have open orders!" , ELSE do nothing.
I'm sorry for the non proffesional wording of the query, but this is the general idea that i have.
Maybe Heather , you could help me formulate this query.

No underline in PDF iBooks?!

While it was possible to underline PDFs on Preview, now this operation is not possible on iBooks on the MAC unless we create another copy which is stored somewhere else... is this correct? Is that normal?

what is the vi you are using ?
wrting string to a text file will simply save data as pure text, ascii characters, without formatting.
what you are trying to save is formatted on the screen, but when saved to a text file, all the formating (italic, bold, etc ) is lost.
If you want to save formmatted text, you have to use a word processor, like word pad. you can have LabView thru active X save formatted text with word pad.
notepad is a pure text editor

Can I make reminder due dates show up on the calendar in iCal?

I've just started using iCal on OSX Lion and I was wondering if it was possible to get the reminder due dates to automatically show up on the calendar or if I have to manually enter the same thing as an "event". It seems a bit funny that reminder due dates aren't reflected in the calendar too...

I was having this problem. I got the Mac (with Maverick) to sync to the iphone with a bit of a fluke. ICal now only syncs with icloud so I made sure icloud was on, on my phone and then through Calendar Preferences, enabled my Mac to iclound with my apple account and they linked up. Unfortunately, Birthdays that I've have on the cal for a while (all day) now come up twice on my iphone but only once on my Mac. Anyways, at least they are now synced and the frustrations levels with apple have subsided a little. Hope that helps.

Scrolling credits - How to underline text?

I don't think there's a way to underline using that generator. If you use one of the Boris ones it's extremely simple.
You could always copy all your text from the current generator and paste it into the Boris Crawl one if you need a quick way to underline.

E52 two things - calendar reminder and text sendin...

Hello.
I'd like to ask if it is possible to make calendar reminder on the home screen display only events from the very same day and not from the future days?
Also - in s40 phones it was possible to cancel text sending during sending. I mean until the text was actually sent I was still able to cancel it. Can I do the same in s60?
Somehow I can't find it...

Thanks, mate, for your hint but unfortunately you seem to be mistaken. If by 'red" button you mean the end-call button then I do this every time because I don't want to wait for the phone to show me the inbox. And I used to do it even before you gave your input. So for me that's not the correct answer.
As for the reminder - I didn't understand that.
Let me clarify what I would like to achieve. I put meeting entries in the calendar for let's say every second day. So when I look at the calendar reminder on the main screen, I would like to see the entry only from the current day and not for next days. Is that possible?

For that u need to satisfy certain prerequisites
1. Message determination has to be configured for purchasing document
2. Message records must have been created through master data maintenance (Purchasing menu).
3. Purchasing document should have been created first and transmitted to the vendor first.
4. Maintain purchasing value key in Purchasing view of the mateiral master (select purchasing value key with suitable reminder 1, reminder2, reminder 3)
If you want to set different reminder level for your material, create new purchasging value key in IMG screen
IMG->Materials management>Purchasing-->Material Master->Define purchasing value key
Cretae new purchasing value key Enter Reminder 1, Reminder 2 and Reminder 3

Buying an external hard drive

I just learned that memory and hard disk capacity are not the same thing. Anyway, since I've just increased my memory from 2 to 4 GB, while since my computer is now telling me that my "Starter Drive?" is full, I've decided to buy an external hard drive for my MacBook. However, since I don't know anything about them, I'd like to read a good article or two on selecting one before making my purchase, so I came here to see if anyone has any ideas on the subject. Can anyone make any suggestions?
I don't want to spend more than $150, preferably much less. Also, I want one that is EASY and SIMPLE to use. There will probably be other considerations, but not until I get some basic information on types, features, usages, etc.

At first, being a beginner, I was just thinking in terms of capacity (bigger must be better), but now that even Terrabytes can be obtained at reasonable prices, I question that. I haven't yet read anything that completely answered the question for me, but I will be reading more comparisons and buying guides in the near future. One thing I'm still thinking about is how to use it. Will it be better to use it for storage, or do I want it to be an active part of my computer. I might add that the main reason I want to get one is to improve the speed and efficiency of my computer. The first time that happened, I felt like I had lost a child, but the second, third, and fourth times it happened it didn't bother me so much. No, I'm really most interested in doing what I can to get my computer to run as fast and with as few complications as possible. You did remind me of one thing I hadn't thought of recently: noise. That's important. In fact, that's why I bought a Mac. After doing quite a bit of research, I had decided on buying the PC that was always wining popularity contests. I was just about to buy it, and even took a PC course at my college to get ready for it, when I realized that the Mac was meant for me because of its quiet operation (the PCs at school were just too noisy for me) and and its compactness. Of course, when I bought my printer, the compactness issue went out the window. Even so, I still think I made the right decision. I only regret replacing my desktop model with a laptop.

How to share reminders with iCloud users ?

Hello,
With Lion it was possible to share a "Reminder" through iCal to members of iCloud...
I unfortunately did not find this essential feature in the new Mountain Lion Reminder Application.
I cannot immagine Mountain lion would be a downgrade on that very useful workgroup feature...
The only, temporary, work around is to use the web version of iCloud calendar which still permits sharing of Reminders with iCloud members.
Am I missing something ?

Conflict between program Mac mail and program Microsoft Outlook e-mail???

A conflict between program Mac mail and program Microsoft Outlook e-mail?
For several months tried to discuss and resolve with several Apple specialists/support, but without much luck.
Therefore I have discussed these issues with 2 different and independent Mac users to find out in testing other Mac users will have the same problems as outlined in the below mentioned situations.
I will therefore outline the coverage issues, as mentioned, including occurs on my iMac 21.5 " with serial number: <Edited by Host> and 2 friends with their Macbooks of new dates as follows:
1. Sending from my Mac plain mail as "plain text "(during formatting):
Plain text mail as "Plain Text "(during formatting) Verdana font size 10, sent and received on Windows PC with the correct letter size - but with the font changed to Century Gothic!!!
2. Sending from my Mac plain mail "formatted text" (during formatting):
Eg. with my signature/signature-colored types and Verdana as font and size 10, possibly with underlining and italics in the text dispatched - the mail received as text with New Times Roman size 12 and signing /signature color Verdana now in size 13.5!!!!
3. Sending plain mail "as normal text "(during formatting)
In the mail text underlined and made bold - the program asks whether to convert to RTF format (to keep underlining, bold, etc.) and Verdana as font and size 10, YES - this mail is received on the Windows PC as text with New Times Roman with the desired underlining and bold text and size 12!!!!
4. Plain text mail as "formatted Text"
Eg. with signature / signature-colored types and Verdana as font and size 10, possibly with underlining and italics in the text sent - received as text with New Times Roman and signing / signature as colored Verdana now in size 13.5!!!
5. Sending mail with file attached:
After producing a normal text document modified to PDF and directly from the Adobe Reader sent this PDF file in e-mail formatted as normal text with font Verdana 10 point, with signature. This is received on the Windows PC with a PDF file OK, but the font of the mail text is changed to Century Gothic and missing signature. Signature is available as an attachment on the Windows Outlook e-mail program as a ATT00113.text file. This can be opened and there is the missing signature!
6. Sending e-mail with photos directly from iPhoto
iPhoto opens and click on the desired photos eg. 5 pcs. (Exactly as mentioned in the demo video!) and click on the e-mail icon at iPhoto and the program opens and e-mail that is opened with the attached photos and rich text is being used in the mail. Signature disappears and must be clicked on the mail by the sender.
The mail is received with the attached pictures OK - text changed to Times Roman with the desired bold - though no signature and 5 pcs. Att0028.html files attached. These can be opened and contains the file number each picture!
The above problems can be partly avoided by the following:
1. Only send mails as plain text
Without any underlining, attachments, etc.. When the Windows PC Outlook receiver opens the mail where only the text fond is changed!!
2. Sending mail with attached file
Start opening the mail program and use formatted plain text first and then attach (with the staple) file, and the Window receiver will get the file, but text and signature changed to Times New Roman size 13!!
3. Sending mail with photos from iPhoto
Start by opening mail program text in Verdana 10 and click the Photo Browser and find (look for - takes its time!) the pictures you want to send and pull/drag them into the mail and send, - images, text and signature are in the mail on Windows PC - but with the font changed to Century Gothic!!!
If sent as formatted text with various underlining, italics, etc. together with the photos will be received OK - but the writing is now New Times Roman size 12 signatures Verdana now in size 13!!!
I must say – I am disappointed with the Mac mail program – it actually means that sending a perfect mail with underlining, colours, a.s.o. also photos directly from iPhoto – will received at a Windows computer in a totally mess.
Looking forward to some good news from either Mac supporter or some clever Mac users who can help me to adjust my Mac to avoid these problems IF POSSIBLE!!!!.
Apple/Mac is too good a product to make these problems!!

The PC sets the font on its side, the Mac does on its side for plain text. There is no "font size" in plain text coding. Rich Text gives you a bit more control, but only if both e-mail clients support it. HTML gives you a bit more control, but only if both e-mail clients support it. Use the asterisk, parenthesis, underscore, or any keyboard symbol that is part of the original ASCII. Otherwise, the chance is nobody else will be able to read it who does not have your e-mail client in the same version.
Sadly there are no e-mail standards except MIME for attachment, and even that isn't universally supported. E-mail is not the ideal medium for anything except plain text that is ASCII. To learn more about ASCII, see:
