Is it possible to upgrade CPU on my Satellite C

Is it possible to upgrade my AMD E1-1200 1.4ghtz processor to anything faster than that,
I want to be able to play FIFA14 apparently it drags on the current processor.
My ram is 6GB and I believe it is enough.

Generally such upgrade is not supported by any notebook manufacturer.
But I read in some threads that some people were able to upgrade the Intel CPUs in own notebooks. But your notebook (what notebook model is it exactly???) seems to be equipped with AMD CPU and I guess the chipset is from AMD too.
In such case only AMD CPU would be compatible with the AMD chipset.
However, even if the AMD chipset would support another CPU, I guess you would get some problems with the BIOS. In many cases the BIOS compatibility could be the main reason why an CPU upgrade would not work.

  • Is it still possible to upgrade CPU on a G4 400MHz Titanium Powerbook?

I have a Titanium PowerBook G4 model (M7952) with a 17 inch screen, originally purchased in 2001. Over recent years I have successfully upgraded the hard drive to 128GB and the memory to 1GB SDRAM.
However, I have recently purchased Leopard and attempted to upgrade the system without first checking -and subsequently discovering - that my CPU speed is inadequate (currently only 400MHz, wheras required minimum for Leopard is 867MHz).
If anyone can advise me whether it is still possible to upgrade the processor on this particular model to the required specification for running Leopard - my initial searches have appeared to indicate this may not be possible - I would be very grateful.
    Thanks, Steve

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Even if it is possible, you won't be improving the system bus of the machine, so there will always be a bottleneck. Also software updates may not perform right, as the system is really only designed for built-in processor 867 Mhz or higher G4s, and not upgraded CPUs. Upgrade CPU support has to come entirely from the CPU vendor that supplies the upgrade for firmware updates, and compatibility. Essentially you will be creating yourself a jalopy. 10.4.11 is the max that will ron a 400 Mhz G4 reliably.

  • Is it possible to upgrade GPU on my Satellite L750?

    I have a Satellite L750,Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit,Intel Core i3-380M Processor,640 GB in hard disk,4,096 MB DDR3 RAM (1,066 MHz),Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD.
I'm sure by now you know why i want to upgrade my graphic card, everything is good except my graphic card, this is like a nightmare to me because now i can't keep on playing the games i used to,which are so many,so if an expert reads this thread, please help me.
Is there anything I can do?
Any advice or suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

GPU upgrade is not supported and cannot be done. Due to specific design and hardware configuration hardware upgrade is very limited.
Graphic card with more power produce more heat and that is the main problem by mobile machines. Cooling system designed for your notebook is optimized for certain graphic card.

  • Is it possible to upgrade the CPU on an MSI GX-730 laptop?

Hi.  I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to upgrade the CPU on an MSI GX-730 Laptop with an X2 Turion CPU currently in it?  And if it's possible, what other CPUs are compatable?  I was hoping to put in a Phenom mobile processor, but I am not sure if one would work in it.  Thanks.

The short answer is no, you cannot upgrade it.
The long answer is you might be able to upgrade it to a slightly better Turion, but I'm not really sure it will provide any benefit.

  • Satellite A100-207: Is it possible to upgrade graphic card for gaming

    Hi
I am looking to buy the Toshiba A100-207 laptop and it comes with 128MB of shared graphics.
I would like to play games and I was wondering if I could upgrade the graphics (such as a nvidia card that I could buy and put in) or are the graphics fixed?
I would just like to know if I am able to upgrade?
    Thankyou

    Hi
In my opinion the graphic card and/or the CPU is not soldered on the new notebook generation. The parts should be simply plugged on the board.
But this does not change the upgrade situation.
Possibly you will be able to remove the graphic card but Im sure you will get compatibility problems with other hardware.
The stronger graphic card produces more warmness and the temperature would increases automatically to a higher level. This would lead to the overheating issue and the notebook would either shut down or not starts.
The desktop PC technology is simply different as on the notebooks. You can also not compare the different graphic cards. Notebook manufactures uses only the graphic card chips which dont supports an own cooling module.
Simply said its not possible to upgrade the graphic card.

  • Is it possible to upgrade graphics card in my S410?

I've bought a IdeaPad S410, equipeed with i5-4210U 1.70 GHz , Intel HD Graphics (Intergrated) and Radeon R5 M230. I would like to know if it's possible to upgrade my R5 M230 to a better Graphics card, perhaps R7 M260?
Any reply is greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance..

    hi MizARe3,
Looking at the S410 hardware layout (page 59-60 of the hardware maintenance manual), the CPU and the discrete Radeon R5 M230 are both integrated to the motherboard, thus, you can't separately upgrade the discrete GPU.

  • Hp 6159sl, upgrade cpu?

Motherboard is: hp 3388 southbridge: hm65
    thanks

    Hi:
I'll tell you what...it is your money and your risk, having been advised accordingly.
If you want to roll the dice and try the i7-2630QM in your notebook, by all means go for it.
I hope you can tell me that I was 100% wrong.
It wouldn't bother me in the least.
But you have to understand one important thing.  Just because a processor has the same socket, and is even of the same Sandy Bridge processor family, does not mean it will work in your notebook.
There is that other variable called the BIOS, and if the BIOS does not have the microcode for the i7-2630QM processor, you are dead in the water.
Since neither of us have installed an i7-2630QM in your specific model, neither of us can tell you with 100% certainty (or even a 75% certainty) that it will or will not work.
And I have to agree with Steve that upgrading the processor will provide the least return on investment of any upgrade you can do, unless you are going from a Pentium or i3, to the best one the PC can handle.
    And you're not.

  • Upgrade CPU - G575?

    Hello,

    hi bassbelouder,
If you have the Lenovo G575 (4383) as listed in this PDF data sheet, this runs on socket FT1 (BGA-413) which you can upgrade as much as:
    AMD Accelerated Processor E-450 (dual-core, 1.65GHz, 1MB L2 cache),
integrated AMD Radeon™ HD 6320M Graphics, integrated DDR3 memory controller (up to 1333MHz)
This is the highest processor that you can get on the AMD E-Series Accelerated Processor line. See this article in reference.
    Hope this helps.
