Is jrrt-3.1.0-1.4.2 compatible with weblogic 9.2?

Hi,
My application server is weblogic 9.2. I'm currently using jrockit-R27.4.0_jdk_1.5.12 and would like to use -xgcPrio:deterministic. I just downloaded the jrrt-3.1.0-1.4.2-solaris-sparcv9.bin and installed on our solaris server. After changing the JAVA_HOME from the above jrockit jdk to jrrt-3.1.0-1.4.2. I can no longer stop the weblogic instance. Can someone please advise what I did wrong here?
Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.VerifyError: weblogic/utils/classloaders/GenericClassLoader: attempting to override final method java/lang/ClassLoader.getResources(Ljava/lang/String;)Ljava/util/Enumeration;

WLS 9.2 requires Java 5, so you should use the JRRT download for Java 5.0, not 1.4.2.

Henrik

  • Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 and weblogic?

    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/jrockit/index.html". I go to the website, and find a software called: Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 for windows 64 bit. My question is: In order to let weblogic 9.2 works in windows 2003 R2 64 bit machine, SHOULD I MUST DOWNLOAD "Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2 for windows 64 bit"? Or I don't need to download anything? Actually, I just download a file called jdk-6u18-windows-x64.exe. Please clear my question, thanks! One more thing, what is the functionality for Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.2? Is it a kind of JRE ?

    Hi,
    For more information on JRocket Real Time have a read of :- http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jrockit/jrrt/index.html
    As far as I am aware you don't have to install the real time product you can installl the JRockit JVM and use that with Weblogic, I think newer version of JRocket come bundled with Real Time which is the JVM and monitoring and analysis tools. There are still standalone JRocket JVM installs available, you can get them from oracle edelivery.
    JRocket is a JVM but optimized for use with Weblogic, so you should get better overall performance.
    Cheers
    John

    Hi Jay,
    Thanks for the reply. I have applied all you have mentioned and works fine for weblogic server 10.3 with java 1.6 update 23.

  • CC&B Install issue:ClassNotFound RPCRouterServlet & libcobjvm_sun_150

    I'm trying to install CC&B 2.3.1 on 64 bit CentOS 5.1 with WebLogic. Everything in the installation process appears to execute without errors now. When starting up CC&B, the SPLWeb deployment fails to start. The WebLogic Admin Console is available and the SPLService deployment is "Active". From the logs, the only error messages (in order of appearance) seems to be
    ClassNotFoundException: org.open.spml.v2.transport.RPCServlet
    Sorry unable to load libcobjvm_sun_150
    Unable to establish connection on port 6506 after waiting 20 seconds
    Port 6506 is open.
    "./splenviron -e demo1" at the command line executes without throwing the "Sorry unable to load" message. Using "ldd -v" at the command prompt shows that libcobjvm_sun_150.so can link all the required libraries.
    I'm at a loss as to how to resolve the above issues so that SPLWeb deployment starts successfully.
    I'm more than happy to post log snippets of anything that might be relevant to resolving this issue, I'm just unfamiliar with what log snippets would be relevant for this issue.

  • 5.1.3 U1 Testing with Weblogic 9

    I am trying to test the 5.1.3 U1 release and its integration with Weblogic 9. I have setup the u1 logicalhost as follows:
    -- Copied the wljmsclient.jar and wlclient.jar to the logicalhost/is/lib directory
    -- Edited the logicalhost/is/domains/ferron2john/config/domain.xm l to have the <se-orb> tag be set to true.
    These two changes were the changes that were needed to have 5.1.2 work with Weblogic 9. It is further documented in KB ID: 109088 that I created with support when initially setting up the logicalhost. I have also verified multiple times the credentials for the weblogic server by logging into the console. The exception that I getting is the following:
    h6.

    WLS 9.2 requires Java 5, so you should use the JRRT download for Java 5.0, not 1.4.2.

  • Installation error: CC&B2.3.1 & Weblogic 10.0 MP2

    Dear All,
    While installing framework for ccb2.3.1, splapp folder is created under the environment home folder(ccbdev231). Splapp folder contains the startweblogic.cmd and startdomainenv.cmd. After installing the framework and configuring the environment variables, the spl.cmd start command is initiated. The command in turn starts the weblogic server and i am getting the following error.
    (This looks like more of a username/password error where the uname/pwd doesnt match with the boot.properties file. In boot.properties the uname and pwd are encryted. Please suggest.
    While configuring the environment I specified default uname=system & pwd=spladmin as in the configuration document)

    Luckys, sivaram,
    Thanks for the replies, I am still facing the same issue. I tried the steps from the metalink and the configenv.cmd/genupdatewar.cmd and couldnt able to solve password decipher error.
    When I execute the spl.cmd start command the following message occurs
    C:\Spl\ccbwls\bin>spl.cmd start
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: PasswordDecipher

    JAVA_OPTS is -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dfile.encoding=ISO8859_1
    CLASSPATH is C:\spl\ccbwls\splapp\standalone\lib\ojdbc5-11.1.0.7.0.jar
    Return back to C:\Spl\ccbwls\bin directory
    C:\Spl\ccbwls\bin>
    And then the cmd window will popup trying to start the weblogic server with the error message provided in the earlier post.
    Please advice, Thanks,

  • How to set (class)paths for a Managed server?

    How does one configure the PATH and CLASSPATH and pass definitions (like "-Djava.library.path=c:\p\bea\wlserver6.1\bin")
    to a remotely-started managed server?
    The section in the WLS 6.1 AdminGuide.pdf that talks about configuring a managed
    server's Remote Start tab says on pages 3-9 to 3-10 that, "If you don't specify
    values for these fields and attempt to start the target server from the Administration
    Console, the Node Manager will attempt to start the target server with the values
    for these attributes that were used when starting the Node Manager. The Node Manager
    will be able to start the Managed Server in that case if you specified the required
    values on the command line when starting the Node Manager."
    So it sounds as if I can get the java.library.path definition and CLASSPATH sent
    to the server via the Node Manager startup command.
    Does that work when using the Node Manager as an NT Service? Here is my Win2K
    command file for setting up the Node Manager as an NT Service. Note that I'm trying
    to tell it where to find the Windows native libraries (wlserver6.1\bin for wlntio.dll)
    and the JDBC drivers (C:\SHADOW\jdbc\... and C:\Orant\jdbc\... ) :

    But when I start a server remotely, it can't find the native libraries and it
    can't find the JDBC libraries in the CLASSPATH. Otherwise, it can serve up HTML
    pages at the correct port number so I know it's running.
    When starting a managed server remotely via the WLS 6.1 console, how do I tell
    the managed server where the native libraries and JDBC libraries are?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    The memory setting on the WC_Spaces managed servers can be seen as mentioned below.
    ps -eaf | grep Spaces
    Above command shows something like this at the top of the output:

  • Installation of CC&B 2.3

    Hi all
    I am trying to install CC&B 2.3 on an OEL virtual machine.
    When installing Framework 2.2 I get the following error:
    Configuration file /spl/DEMO/etc/ENVIRON.INI is created.
    Execute splenviron.sh -e DEMO to setup environment variables.
    BEADIR=/opt/bea
    Sorry unable to load libcobjvm_sun_150
    If libcobjvm_sun_150 is on shared library PATH, then ensure
    +'libjava' and 'java' are found on the PATH/Shared Library PATH.+
    This occurs after I have selected the options for the installation, i.e this bit:

    any ideas what this "libcobjvm_sun_150" is? I have having trouble with the installation and am at a loss as to what is causing it.

    Error running cobjrun v2.3
    I have encountered exactly the same issue. I go the error after installing the Framework. You can get the error every time you try to set the environment with the following command.
    splenviron.sh -e <environment_name>
    I am installing on oel5.4 64 bit. Using WLS and jrockit java.
    This was report in a previous version installation doc id 802374.1
    The cause was listed as
    This issue is due to:
    1. Using a 64-bit version of Java or
    2. Missing of the following operating system modules: libstdc++ and compat-libstdc++ or
    3. Missing the CC&B runtime directory reference from the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable
    and the solution as
    1. Install a 32-bit version of Java (recommended 1.5.0_12 or later version).
    2. Install the latest versions for libstdc++ and compat-libstdc++ modules.
    3. Include the CC&B runtime directory into LD_LIBRARY_PATH, for example: spl/DEV/runtime
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/orasw/app/oracle/product/11.1.0.6/lib32:/spl/java/jdk1.5.0_10/jre/lib/i386:
    /spl/java/jdk1.5.0_10/jre/lib/i386/server://spl/java/jdk1.5.0_10/jre/lib/i386/native_threads:/spl/DEV/runtime:
    /opt/SPLcobAS50/lib:/spl/java/jdk1.5.0_10/jre/lib:/lib:/spl/java/jdk1.5.0_10/lib:/orasw/app/oracle/product/11.1.0.6/lib:/usr/lib::
    When I looked the runtime directory has not been created.
    I am still investigating to resolve my own issue but this may help.
    I tracked this down a little further and have established that when you run
    splenviron.sh -e <env-name>
    the following command is issued
    /opt/SPLcobAS51/bin/cobsje -J /opt/jrrt-3.1.2-1.5.0
    Note: /opt/jrrt-3.1.2-1.5.0 is my version of java and yours may be different.
    This script executes the following command
    cobjrun WhatJava
    This produces the error we are seeing.
    To repeat the error.
    1. splenviron.sh -e <env-name>
    2. cobjrun WhatJava
    You should see the offending error.
    I am thinking this error is to do with the inability to resolve dynamically linking of libraries or a java issue.
    I am still investigating but I am focusing on this approach.

    To determine if the packages were installed I ran
    $ rpm -qa --qf "%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH}\n" | grep libstdc
    libstdc++-4.1.2-46.el5.i386
    compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.x86_64
    libstdc++-devel-4.1.2-46.el5.i386
    compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61.i386
    libstdc++-4.1.2-46.el5.x86_64
    libstdc++-devel-4.1.2-46.el5.x86_64
    compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-138.i386
    The packages mentioned above are installed.
    I ran the following command and you can see that SUNWprivate_1.1 is not found.

    I have not got to the cause of this yet but you can run
    strace -f -o <file-name> cobjrun
    after you set the environment.
    This will show the system calls and which so files are being searched and output the results to <file-name>

  • Binary data problem with web services on JRockit but not Sun JDK

    I have a problem with binary data in SOAP and JRockit
    (jrrt-3.0.0-1.6.0-linux-x64.bin) . I have an set of web services based
    on EJB 3.0 which return images as byte arrays inside a SOAP envelope
    to be consumed by .NET 2 services. The host app server is Oracle
    Application Server 10.3.1 on RHEL Linux update 4, on 64 bit Xeon 5500
    series HP blade hardware.
    While most images are fine most of the time, one particular image
    gives this message when being consumed in the .NET client:
    The '■' character, hexadecimal value 0x1F, cannot be included in a
    name. Line 2, position 380038.
    The MSDN suggests that this is usually caused by non-escaping of reserved XML characters like < but this isn't one of those.
    The SOAP looks ok and for the life of me I can't see why this ought to
    be a problem, especially since the problem doesn't arise running with
    the SUN JDK 1.6_06 64 bit)
    When making the same call from the OAS Enterprise Manager, I can make the same call with no problem (but the data is just rendered as character data in a browser) which maybe suggests some incompatibility with how JRockit is serializing the data ?
    Any ideas, I would be very happy to hear - JRockit gives a 15% or so
    speed boost to the website that these services power so obviously we
    want to use it if possible.

    Seems to be the case that using MTOM stops this problem with JRockit. Strange but apparently true (so far).

  • Getting SecurityException with standalone WLS

    Hay OTN,
    Just getting started with the standalone WebLogic. Used to work only with JDev integrated one.
    Can't manage to start the domain right now. But the server should be in a working state.

    It doesnt necessarily has to be weblogic/weblogic. For 11g the password needs to have a number or alphanumeric character.
    In case u have forgotton i have follow teh steps here to retrieve the password.
    http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2009/12/15/resetting-admin-username-password/
    Can u paste your config.xml here? I want to check whether u are authenticating against embedded ldap of databse.
    Thanks,

    I would like use this ide on a computer with 1 gb of ram so i have specified:
    -Xmx512m
    I would like to know under what circumstances there is a greater likelihood that such an approach is not sufficient.
    So I would like understand if a more limited approach would give me problems in development using database with limited data (I will probably test using postgresql instead of oracle xe then I should save more resources).

    During the second installation on the machine with only 1 gb of ram using
    Linux (plus window manager) + Oracle JDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.0.2 + Oracle JRockit Real Time 3.1.0 was available only 30 mb.

  • Running JRA recording with Weblogic running as a service

    Is it possible to run JRA recording while running the WebLogic application server as a service?
    The spec for our environment is as follows:
    - JRockit JVM version: JRRT 3.1.0 1.4.2
    - Weblogic version: 8.1 SP6
    - OS: Windows XP SP3
    Ideally, we would like to be able to run JRA recording every hour as an automated process, however as there is no java.exe process to attach to it seems this might not be a possibility? I appreciate is certainly possible to run the application as a console application and attach to the PID of a running java process using JRCMD if WebLogic is not running as a service. Are there any solutions for taking JRA recordings when JRockit is running in a Weblogic Service?

    Tim,
    You can try to run beasvc.exe in debug mode, from a command prompt after the
    server is booted. You can run it by: >beasvc -debug ...
    This will simulate the service being started in the foreground so that you can
    see output messages. You may be trying to run beasvc in a way that is not
    intended. If you continue to have issues, you should open a case with BEA
    Support.

    How can i work around this without resorting to running a manual script ?

  • Weblogic Portal 10.3 Switch to 64bit JVM

    Hi
    I suspect this won't be possible but here's the situation:
    We have a weblogic portal 10.3 installation built using the 32bit linux installer. Therefore the admin server and two managed servers (each of which are on different boxes) run using a 32 bit JVM.
    Would it be possible to change the managed servers to a 64bit JVM and leave the admin server on 32bit?
    If so, how could this be done? By simply changing the parameters in the server start up page?
    Thanks

    You can alter the setDomainEnv script in which you set a JAVA_HOME for each particular server, for example,
    if [ "${SERVER_NAME}" = "" ] ; then
        SERVER_NAME="AdminServer"
        export SERVER_NAME
    fi
    if [ "${SERVER_NAME}" = "AdminServer" ] ; then

        export USER_MEM_ARGS
    # If we want to use debugging we have to make sure the debug port is different for every server
        DEBUG_PORT="8453"
        export DEBUG_PORT
