Is LE right for me? Please check my gear/needs

Question

Could some Logic/Logic Express owners review my gear/needs and let me know if LE is a good choice for me?
Here is my set-up now:
* Korg ESX-1 Electribe Sampler
* Microkorg
* Tapco S5 Monitors
* Mackie DFX6 mixer
Purchasing in about a month:
* New Intel Imac 2.0 Ghz/2Gb Ram
* Motu Ultralite
* LE (????)
Hope to Purchase this year:
* Akai MPC 2500 or AKAI MPC 1000
Music Genre: Hip Hop/Electronica/Jazz
Needs: Right now, I have two major needs:
1. I need to be able to record/mix multiple tracks of audio. (Primary Use)
2. Until I get the MPC, I'd like to be able to midi sequence my electribe sampler to loosen up my beats a bit (ESX doesn’t have an unquantize feature), and I'd like to be able to sequence my Microkorg. Once I get the MPC, I'd like to develop tracks using my hardware and then dump the midi tracks to LE for editing/tweaking.
3. It would be nice to add some software instruments to my tracks.
My major concern are:
1. How good is LE is in terms of audio recording/editing. I've read some of the posts on here complaining of terrible latency issues, etc.
2. How difficult will it be to integrate hardware sequencers with LE? Can I hammer out beats on the MPC/electribe and then dump the midi data to LE to tweak it? Is this really difficult to do with LE?
Could someone look at my set-up and tell me if LE is a good choice?

Hi Mu,
I Love Protools, know it inside out. For Live stereo recordings, I don't rely on anything else, never had a crash in years, Ever! It's a wonder to edit and in my advice, is the better tool for audio recording.
Logic is great, in having it all toghether, samplers, instruments, score, good plug-ins and audio, I find myself working more in Logic, because of that, it's very "handy".
It depends on what you're doing, but if you use both audio and midi to a great extend, Logic will be a more abrangent tool to work.
