Is Lightroom 5 & CS6?

Is Ligtroom 5 compatible with CS6 or will it be necessary to join the cloud and upgrade to the new Photoshop Cloud?

It is compatible if you have installed Camera Raw 8.1.

  • I would like Adobe to develop a programme that sits between Lightroom and CS6

    I have Lightroom 1, 2, 3 & 4 (which I can't use at the moment because it is too slow) I also have CS3.
I am an enthusiastic amatuer and don't need the catalogue facility in Lightroom (which can be exasperating at times) and I don't need 90% of the stuff on CS6 as I do most of my editing in Adobe Camera Raw.
I would like to see Adobe develop a programme that sits between Lightroom and CS6 where the Lightroom  layout is kept much the same only instead of a catalogue have a browser in its place, I would also like to see the clone tool & the healing brush replaced with proper ones that work like the ones in CS6, I would also like to see an adjustment brush with a facility to invert my selection or some sort of masking, these are the tools I use most often in photoshop.
Does anyone feel the same as me and if so how do we contact Adobe to let them know.

I think it is extremely presumptuous of you Mr. Hess, to confuse honest, friendly advice with an attempt to "dictate" how someone should handle their workflow ... my comment was offered as advice ... I was not handing down an edict to force anyone to do anything ....
It's one thing to bury your head in the sand and ignore sound advice ... it's quite another to accuse others of forcing their will on someone ... just because you had a bad experience about discussing another feature in another thread ...
I could really care less if you, the OP or anyone else doesn't adopt a sound DAM solution ... I don't have to work with your images ... but if I did, you can be assured they would be properly cataloged even if you didn't see the value in the process ...

  • How do I install and activate all my downloads for Adobe lightroom and cs6 design web premium

how do I install and activate all my downloads for Adobe lightroom and cs6 design web premium?

I do not provide step by step tutorials.  What aspect of installing are you having difficulty with?  Can you not locate the installations files?  Are you having an issue downloading?  Do you need to know where to find your serial number(s)?

  • Lightroom and CS6

Hi, I wonder if there will be any problem for me to buy and install Lightroom CC and get it up and running with my CS6 Master Collection suit? My company is´nt ready to go over totally to CC yet, they are working to make it possible with Adobes cloud solution, but there is some problems I can´t give any information about.
So, my situation is simply that I want to have Lightroom in our photo studio, so the people I shoot can choose the image they want. As I said I have CS6 Master Collection, and the best solution would be if I could buy Lightroom for CS6, but that is´nt possible? Will there be any file conflicts if I buy, download and install Lightroom on my MacBook? I mean, with shared files and other rights issues on the hard drive?
    Thankful for a quick answer!
    Best regards
    Fredrik

yes, you can install, activate and use lr and the cs6 suites including master collection on the same computer.

  • Lightroom, Photoshop Cs6 and D7100

I know that Lightroom 4 and Photoshop Cs6 do not currently support the RAW format on my D7100 however, I am looking at ordering both LR4 and Cs6 and am hoping to get some type of timeline as to when Adobe will support my camera. I don't want to spend the cash if I cannot even use the product!
    John

Support will definitely come. As it has been for every Nikon DSLR ever released. The date that support will appear is not known by anyone on this forum. Or if it is known, they are not allowed to say.

  • Lightroom with CS6

I have Adobe CS6 and want to use lightroom.  How should I purchase it?

Yes, Lightroom will work perfectly well with Photoshop CS6. That is the combination that I am using now. No problems. For best results, make sure that you have updated Photoshop to be using the latest Camera Raw plug-in.

  • From Lightroom 4.4 RGB1998 - open in photoshop CS6 - embedded colour profile changing to SRGB regardless of Lightroom export settings.

    Hi,
I'm experiencing an issue regarding lightroom 4.4 - Photoshop 13.0.6x64
This has just started happening in the last few days, I have not changed my settings etc ?
My external editing preferences in the Lightroom preferences menu for the edit in Adobe Photoshop CS6 command are
    as follows,
    File format    - TIFF
    Color Space - AdobeRGB (1998)
    Bit Depth      - 16 bits
I run CS6 working space in ColorMatch RGB at the request of the Pro lab I use & have done for years with great results. Before the file opens in CS6 I
get the Embedded Profile Mismatch pop up & I alway select use the embedded profile ( AdobeRGB1998) instead of the working space.
The mismatch menu always used to read,
    Embedded : AdobeRGB 1998
    Working : ColorMatch RGB
For some unknown reason every file I now open through Lightroom into CS6 - The Embedded Profile Mismatch warning is telling me that all my files
have an embedded  SRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile ?
I can't get any of my files into photoshop with my normal AdobeRGB1998 embedded profile anymore regardless of Lightroom's external editing settings?
Seems they are being converted regardless ? have tried removing CS6 preferences Doc from the folder but not making any differences. Even my old files
that I know are RGB1998 embedded are turning up in CS6 converted to SRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile ?
    I'm running a Mac 10.9.4, Lightroom 4.4 & Photoshop CS6 - 13.0.6 x64
Any ideas on how this started & how I can sort it out ?
    Thanks,
    Will.

Is ACR being used to render the images instead of LR?  Open an image in the Camera Raw plug-in in Photoshop and check the Options at the bottom of the ACR plug-in that include bit-depth and color profile.

  • What tech specs are good for adobe lightroom 5 and photoshop cs6?

I was planning to change my laptop to a better one as the lightroom and cs6 have been running very slowly recently. It might due to the aging of my laptop.
I wanted to change one good one for the both programs that i mentioned above. please advise. Thank you.

Since the RAM on the Retina model can't be upgraded by the user, I would go with the full 16GB.
I would also look at the 512GB flash storage option - you don't want to lug around an external drive.
    Just my 2¢...

Sorry, what i meant by user accounts is this.
On my Imac, i've created 2 user accounts.  User A and User B. when I log in as User A and use lightroom and CS6 everything works fine.  When I log in as User B, I have the issue with lightroom not opening raws in photoshop.  Both users are using the system applications.
Ah, OK so I assume the admin account works, the other doesn't? Have to say I'm not savvy enough to understand what Photoshop/LR need in terms of items in the main account to make this all work. I might have to try that test on this end as I have two accounts too. I use the 2nd for trouble shooting. I suspect the primary account has something, somewhere in the user Library installed by Adobe that is accessed where it might not be in account #2.
If one account works, the other doesn't, we have to pinpoint what files are missing from the account that doesn't work.

  • Edit in Photoshop CS6 not working

I recently upgraded to lightroom 5 and CS6 and for some reason I can no longer us the "edit in CS6" option.  Lightroom will go as far as to open photoshop, but won't open the image which I have set to open as an 8bit PSD sRGB.  Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

  • In edit preferences, my LR 5 shows CS6 as the default but I now use CC...how do I get it to recogniz

In edit preferences, my LR 5 shows CS6 as the default but I upgraded to CC...how do I get it to recognize CC instead of CS 6?

CLose Lightroom - Close CS6 and open Cc - Reopen Lightroom it should have CC as the default
You can designate an application to be used as an external editor in the External Editing preferences dialog box. After you choose an application, you can always use Preferences to change to a different application.
In the External Editing preferences, click Choose in the Additional External Editor area.
Navigate to and select the application to use, and then click Open (Windows) or Choose (Mac OS).
You can also select an external editor by choosing Photo > Edit In Other Application from the Library or Develop module. You’ll be prompted to navigate to and select the application to use. After you choose an external editor, the name of the application appears as Edit In [Name of Application] in the Photo menu.

  • Export issues from LR5.3 to CS6

Since LR5.3 update I cannot export my Photos from lightroom to CS6 directly and the edit box iln LR doesn't appear anymore when performing this task?

    Hi Geoff,
Many thanks for your tip. Indeed, moving the preference file to the desktop now solves the problem!
Would you mind explaining why this works? And what I need to do with the preference file sitting on my desktop?
So I can get a deeper understanding.
    Many thanks again.

  • Cannot save file in CS6

I have Lighroom 4.2 and Photoshop CS6, running on an iMac with Mountain LIon. I can successfully export from Lightroom to CS6 for editing, but when I try and save the file I get the following error:
Could not save as “xxxxxx..tif” because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder.
Please tell me what I need to do to correct this. So far I've tried repairing permissions in Disk Utilities, but no go.
    Thanks.
