Captivate 4 - LMS Completion Status Updating

Hello,
We recently published Captivate 4 assessments to our LMS (Learn.com LearnCenter) that have a 3 attempt limit and require a score of 80% or greater to pass.  We are finding that many will fail the first time, and when they pass the assessment on their second attempt the LMS gains the new higher % score but does not gain the "completed" status.  Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Thank you,
Connor

Is the Captivate quiz set for multiple tries? I'd assume so...
If it's sending the updated score, it is likely sending the updated status...
But only way to be sure it to see what the Captivate lesson is actually sending.
If your LMS does not offer any way to 'trace' or otherwise see the actual lesson communication, perhaps try something like 'SCORM Cloud' (websearch) or the Reload Editor. I know the first, and perhaps the second, offer ways to see the actual communication between the lesson and the LMS.
(the official ADL Test Suite also offers this functionality but is more complicated to use, at least last time I tried it).
IF you can validate that the CP lesson is indeed sending the updated status to the LMS, but the LMS is not showing that updated status, then it's something to take up with your LMS vendor.
If CP is not sending that updated status...then it's a CP setting...somewhere...(I don't have any precise things to try, but the setting the quiz to allow retakes would be the first thing to look at).

  • SABA LMS Completion Status is always "Successful" -- even if quiz skipped

For a course I'm creating, the SABA LMS Completion Status is always “Successful” even if just 1 slide of the Scorm 1.2 compliant Adobe Presenter course is viewed – doesn’t even need to get into quiz.
A failing grade is also always "Successful". How to get an "Unsuccessful" for skipping the quiz and/or failing the quiz?
    Settings:
    Reporting - Quiz Manager:
Enable reporting for this project -- checked
Learning Managemenet System (LMS) -- Scorm
Choose Report Data -- Report Quiz results only
Report Pass or Fail -- Report Pass/Fail (should this be Report staus as defined by report data?)
Report Score to LMS as: Percent
Reporting Level -- Report interactions and the score

I have Presenter courses working properly in Saba.  Sometimes the issue is your Offering or Content settings in Saba.  Could be a combo of having Is Scoring checked and having a Mastery Score set on Course or Offering level.
When you dig down into the Activity History for that transcript completion, what status is listed on the module level?  Saba will roll up to a status of Successful/Unsuccessful/Not Evaluated depending on how you have it setup.  What Status is your content actually passing back: Completed, Incomplete, Passed, Failed?
    Good Luck!

  • LMS Completion Status Reporting Incorrectly

We currently use Learn.com as our LMS solution. When we publish our Captivate projects to the LMS, users course completion status is marked as
'Completed' after they have opened the course and viewed the first slide.  I've set our reporting settings from the Preferences>Quiz>Reporting to Complete/Incomplete and Slide Views only to 100%.  I don't understand why it's reporting completed when users have only viewed one slide.

    Hi,
Which version of Captivate are you using?
What are the Quiz Reporting Settings? Have you published to SCORM or AICC?
    Please let us know.
    Thanks,.

  • Captivate 4: 3 Attempts, Score and Completion Status Issue

    Hi Everyone,
I hope somoene may have some insight on this issue.  We built a quiz in Captivate that has a minimum passing score of 80% and allows the learner 3 attempts to complete it.  The quiz should only send a completed status to the LMS if an 80% or greater is acheived.  If the learner takes the quiz and passes on the 1st attempt, the quiz is marked as completed and passes the correct score to the LMS.  However, if the learner fails the first time, and then gets a passing score on a 2nd or 3rd attempt, the new score is passed to the LMS but the status remains as incomplete. I included a screenshot from a test I ran in SCORM Test track.  I failed the first attempt and passed on my second attempt with a 97%.  However, as you see it is stated as incomplete.  When I passed on the first attempt, it says completed.  Any thoughts?  Perhaps this is a setting somewhere that is incorrect?  We have tried several things and even tried calling Adobe Support (but after an hour and a half of holding and transfers that hit a wall).  Any insight would be great!!
    Thanks,
    Connor

Complete/Incomplete is more related to how many of the slides in the project were viewed all the way through to the end.
If you're talking about a score from the Quiz being at least 80% in order to pass then maybe you should be focusing more on Pass/Fail.
Check your Quiz Settings in Captivate.  Do you have it set to report Complete/Incomplete or Pass/Fail?
Maybe what you're seeing here as inconsistency is due to your not watching every single slide all the way through on the second time through.

  • What are the settings under SCORM 2004 to indicate the completion status on LMS

    Hi everyone,
I have a captivate file which i have published as scorm 2004 compliant and checked that file on the scorm cloud. It worked well.
SCORM Pacakage does note report partial completion. When a person stops training, we have the progress bar to indicate that they are at 0, 25, 50, 75 or 100%.
Problem: I dont know exactly, what are the settings to enable to indicate the completion status. I tried but it didn't worked.
Please help & suggest the right way to do this..

  • Adobe Presenter Always Passes Complete Status to LMS - Even When Quiz Failed

    Issue:
I'm trying to publish an Adobe Presenter 7 course with a quiz using SCORM 1.2. I am publishing to our LMS (Cornerstone OnDemand). The course loads and plays fine. However it always reports a complete status to the LMS - even when I fail the quiz. I can even see the score (10 out of 50 points), but the status still shows as completed when it should be incomplete. The pass threshhold is set to 50 points...and yet any scoring allows a completed status.
    Questions:
    1. Has anyone used Presenter with CSOD?
    2. Has anyone used Presenter with any SaaS LMS?
    3. Which settings are required to acurately reports a status?
    Thanks,
    Dan

On top of Ravi's suggestion, what I would also recommend is checking the "scorm_support.js" file which can be found in your Scorm Support folder---this is automatically created when you publish your PPT deck.
Open the scorm_support.js file using Notepad, Notepad++....anything other than Word.  From there, look at the top of the js file and you'll see a few variables which help to establish the SCORM setting of the training, but the one to look for looks like this:
    var g_nAPI = 1;
if that variable is set to "0", then your published content will trigger SCORM 2004, not 1.2.
I've seen this come up on a few occasions, but ever since upgrading my version of Presenter to 7.0.5, this has gone away.
Additionally, there are a few other things you can do which might help in terms of deploying content in your LMS:
    1. I would strongly recommend downloading the ADL SCORM 1.2.7 test suite.  What this basically does is allow you to test the conformity of the SCORM package of a published Presenter course to determine if problems exist BEFORE you post your files to an LMS.  You can download the test suite here:
    http://www.adlnet.gov/adlnews/Documents/News%20Archive/TheSCORMConformanceTestSuiteVersion 127SelfTestisAvailableforDownload.aspx
    2. If you have an LMS admin at your disposal, be sure to check with that person for deployment criteria when your content is installed on the LMS.  If YOU are that person, then you have some homework to do--because you're going to need to know how to run installation procedures and content checks on your training as recommended by the LMS software.
I've developed and deployed Presenter content on a variety of LMSs, and some have nastier quirks than others...so one solution may not fit every environment, but you have to keep checking!  I would also try reaching out to your LMS's tech support if possible.

  • How to set completion status

    Hello,
I have a course built in Captivate 3 that automatically moves to completed within our LMS when users open it. How can I set the status to not change until users have gone through the entire course? Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi Shannon,
In our LMS this occurs if I add the SWF as a Flash file when I upload to the LMS. However, if I enable reporting on the Quiz Preferences pages in the Captivate file before publishing and then import it as a SCORM package in the LMS it uses the LMS customization settings on the Quiz Preferences page to track and set a completion status.

  • Complete Status

My Captivate v1 lessons work great with my LMS. We are now
testing Captivate v2. I am having some challanges with the
    "Completed" status.
If a student launches the lesson and views in its entirety,
the lesson marks Completed. This works fine.
If a student Exits before finishing, the lesson marks In
    Progress. This works fine.
When a student relaunches the unfinished lesson the
bookmarking works fine, however the lesson never records the
Completed status. The only way to recieve a Complete status is to
restart the lesson from the beginning.
The Captivate v1 settings (which work fine) are the same on
Captivate v2: Using SCORM v1.2, Report Complete/Incomplete, Report
Score to LMS, and Report interactions and the score. The new v2
setting for Report quiz results only is marked but I've also tried
Report Slide views only and Report user access only with the same
    results.
This is not a show stopper since most student will view the
lesson in it entirety but I would like the bookmarking capabilities
to work with the Completed status.

  • Status update for MeeGo on the N900

Here's a copy of the text sent by Harri Hakulinen from Nokia. He is the project lead for MeeGo on the N900. This message was sent to the MeeGo developer mailing list just now:
    Hello MeeGos !
This is brief status update of "MeeGo to N900" project. This project is currently running as Nokia project, and I am Nokia project lead for it. The current closed mode of development is not the target for us at all, but rather transitional condition. As already discussed by Valtteri in TSG meeting, we are looking into going more open mode shortly. One reason why we have done this on this way is that at the same time we have been trying to handle opening of many currenly closed components that are needed in MeeGo and to build feasible MeeGo images for N900.
However, a lot of related work is already done completely open, you can find more info from places like ofono.org, connman.net and meego.gitorious.org . So if you are eager to contribute or want to closely follow whats happening, please work on those.
As you know, we have delivered working MeeGo images for N900 as part of first code drop in the end of March. At that state we were using older kernel version on N900 than on Atom side, as we used the same kernel (.28) than what is used in Maemo 5 based products today. We ended up doing that simply because lack of time to contribute and port all the drivers to the newer kernels.
Now, for the upcoming May release of MeeGo, we are going to use the same kernel version (.33) than Atom based devices are using. For that we need to submit number of ARM-architecture patches to MeeGo as well, because many of the required ones have just been contibuted upstream kernel and were not available in .33 version originally.
We have already enabled most of the main drivers, like LCD, GFX, Wlan and BT. Still, there is a lot to do in order to enable .33 on N900, like audio drivers, and modem subsystem including SSI buss driver, modem data and audio drivers etc. Our adaptation guys are in fact contributing those modem subsystem related drivers as we speak, and if you are following kernel mailing lists you can see how that goes on.
Besides of enabling the new kernel, we are working with number of smaller and bigger issues for N900. Starting from the beginning, we are now based on ARMv7 combiled code, so the code should be better optimised for N900 now. ARMv5 compilation that was in use for code drop will still be there, and it also seems to be used at least by community project that is planning to release MeeGo for good old N810 tablets
Also, we are planning to enable dual booting of Maemo 5 and MeeGo for the upcoming release. So that will be offered as 3rd way to setup MeeGo to N900, including the existing "native" MeeGo only on N900 and chroot based MeeGo on Maemo 5 setups. Taking the dual boot mode into use likely includes upgrade to Maemo5 kernel as well, but that should not be big issue in the process of enabling that.
As I don't want to go ahead of others working on MeeGo architecture and other issues I will stop now, but I will report again when we have more to tell about the subject.
    Br,
    // Harri

    Here's another update..
It seems that MeeGo on the N900 is not directly being driven by Nokia! It's an open project.. so the net result is MeeGo on the N900 may look and feel very different to Meego on the N900's sucessor
Either way, I'm certainly greatful for their efforts!
    Hello Meego's,
As indicated in my previous mail about "MeeGo for N900" status, we were planning to open up our MeeGo work around N900. Now I am happy to announce, that we are there
First, to make it absolute clear for everybody: This is about open MeeGo adaptation to N900 device.
Like any other MeeGo project, it is open source project for all applicaple purposes, and does NOT directly have links to any potential Nokia product or potential product plans. So, based on this or any other of my posts, please do NOT start or continue speculation of upcoming Nokia MeeGo releases. That is practically not helpfull, and mostly only takes our time when we need to explain our words and actions in detail to various directions.
From our part, we are trying to implement the open development model that has been discussed now so many times around MeeGo. On practical terms, we are trying to work based on proposal by Carsten Munk, see
    http://wiki.meego.com/Proposal_for_Best_Practices_for_working_in_a_MeeGo_team
We have already created some resources that will be used by the team, you can learn about those and the upcoming ones from http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N900. We have IRC channel for realtime discussion, we will use meego-dev mailing list for normal discussions and announcements, and we will have Gitorius project for code.
We will evolve our practicies during the work, so if you are interested, stay tuned to those channels. I belive that soon we are also able to figure out, what is best way for community members to help us in development, and then effectively be part of the team.
I would also like to use this as opportunity to introduce the team behind this work (so far) and also thank them about their hard work and long hours. We have team that consist of some Nokia subcontractors and also growing team of Nokia personel:
"MeeGo for N900" team (so far)
    - Cybercom Turku team; Marko Saukko, Jouni Peltonen, Sami Sirkiä, Jari Smura and Luka Milovanov.
    - Cybercom Tampere team; Kalle Lampila,Teemu Tuominen,Tuukka Mäkinen and Ville Marjusaari.
    - Carsten Munk via Nomovok
    - Jarkko Nikula via Atomide
    - Jan-Simon Möller from Linuxfoundation
    - Nokia team; Alexander Kanevskiy, Felipe Contreras, Markus Lehtonen, Ameya Palande, Sakari Poussa, Roger Quadros and me.
In addition to official project team, many Nokia people have helped us despite their hectic daily work, even with their free time. Most of them are driven by the desire to open, repurpose and upstream all relevant sw that has been originally created for Maemo 5 based N900 product during previous years.
Marko, Jouni, Sami & Luka and Markus were working with me already on last year when we did prototypes and interoperability tests of Maemo & Moblin stuff combined in different ways. Based on those we had pretty good picture of what we are doing and why.
And of course, we have had very good and productive co-operation with various Intel teams since those times. Anas Nashif and many others from Intel's MeeGo team have done a lot for us by enabling ARM stuff in MeeGo OBS and repositories.
Last but not least, I want to give special thanks to Stskeeps (alias Carsten Munk . He has teached us how to operate on open, and he has also done respectable amount of this work since early days of Meego. In addition to that, I belive that his earlier work on Maemo community and on Mer project has in fact inspired all of us and shown a way to MeeGo alredy years ago.

  • Sales order not set to complete status in CRM from R/3

    Hi Gurus,
I need some advice. We are working on CRM 2007 and the issue we are facing is....when a sales order is created in CRM it gets successfully copied over to R/3. It is then processed in R/3 and is then set to a Completed status. But this status is never updated across to the original sales order in CRM which hence stays in Incomplete status...
We know this is a config issue and we have also looked at program "CRM_SET_STATUS_COMPLETED" but can anyone point us where exactly we need to change the configuration.
    Thanks,
    Sushant.

    Hi sushant,
When the R/3 Order status is set to 'Completed' then the system status for order in CRM system is automatically changed to 'Completed'.
So firstly check whether the User status ('Completed')in SAP CRM has the Business transaction event set to 'FINI'. So when the system status is set to 'Completed' the user status will also change to 'Completed.'
Secondly even check what are the statuses of item in the Orders.
    regards,
    Anubhav

    Hi Daniel,
You will probably have to create a join with the MSP_ASSIGNMENT_TRANSACTIONS Table.
    See reference here:

  • OnPlus not providing new Contract/Warranty status updates

The Cisco Contract/Warranty notification function in OnPlus is currently not providing new updates.
The Product Contract/Warranty function of OnPlus displays product up-to-date information regarding the Contract status and Warranty for supported Cisco devices. This function is currently not providing new updates to those devices in OnPlus and the OnPlus engineering team is working on a resolution to the problem.
Status updates for other product lifecycle information about Cisco devices, such as, Software and Hardware End-of-Life, Product Security Alerts, and Field Notices are available in OnPlus.
As additional information is known for the time to resolution, we will post more details.

    Hi All,
Few (only 3) change requests are coming in "Not Completed" status in CRM_DNO_MONITOR transaction. Ideally all closed change requests should not come under "Not Completed" staus when reporting is done.
