Is MasterSuite Cs5.5 compatible with Most recent imac running on OS X Lion V10.7

Hi all,
I really need some help. I just bought the mastersuite cs5.5 collection and I cannot even instal it onto my brand new iMac. My mac is the latest model on the market and when I insert the software CD nothing happens.
Is there something missing on my mac computer that I need to install? Or is my compueter too advanced for this software.
Any solutions are most welcome.

Thanks for getting in touch. I am positive that I inserted the correct DVDs.
Three DVDs came with the package:
DVD1 - Application 1
DVD2 - Application 2
DVD3 - Content and Installation Help.
As soon as I inserted the DVD 'Application1' into the disk drive nothing happened. I can hear the DVD spinning but no installation icon appears to click on, to install the software as usually does when installing new software. Before this, I managed to install Microsoft Office easily.
There was a leaflet titled 'notice to users' which stated that I must accept the license agreement and warranty to use this product. It provided me with an email link to do this of which I followed every step.
As per your instructions, I found the Mastersuite icon in my Finder but the Install icon appeared faded which meant I could not click on the icon to install the software.
I don't think I have java installed on my new iMac - could this be the problem? (Apparently without this the DVD may fail to load at all. This is what I am currently experiencing)

Not trying to be snarky David, but why would you want to? LR5 is so advanced from LR3 it seems that you would want to upgrade, particularly since you are now using Yosemite (10.10.1). LR5 is just very superior in many ways to previous versions...

Now I want to display the record with most recent date in the records.
How I can I do it......????????

don't fall for the error message that comes up automatically and automattically downloads. it does nothing. Go to the link, download it, open the DMG file and go through the process. All my CS5.5 apps opened immediately after installing the java update.

Katyl69374552 the system requirements for Master Collection CS5.5 can be found at Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection: System Requirements. Mac OS 10.6 was the last operating system which Creative Suite 5.5 was tested on.
Have you tried installing? Do you receive a specific error message?

All I was wondering if anyone was having issues with Lightrooms beta and pointing devices… while I’m sure the Wacom Introus4 is dying in Lightroom I can’t verify that my Mouse is as well.
I’m using the most recent Beta of Lightroom and Wacom Tablet Driver 615-3a… I’m sure the issue dosent reside with another program because the tablet only stops working in Lightroom. Basically I loose all tablet functionality until I reboot whin I attempt to access the Film Strip… I’ve repeated a few times and with each it dies…

Unfortunately, although you are getting problems with your Wacom and Lr, the solution for the short term is to re-install an older driver for the tablet until Wacom come up with a new update to fix the prolem. This has been a long running problem for users when operating Lr with Wacom tablets.
(I offer this solution not from personal experience, but from what other tablet users have reported in previous threads, and there have been several).

I have a 2008 Mac Book Pro 15" that I just installed a new solid state 256g hard drive into last night using OS X Yosemite. I just installed iWork 08 from my original disc and now when I try and open a numbers (excel) file that I had created previously its blank except for the email link I created and the response time is very slow for scrolling or right clicking. Is the problem that iWork 08 isn't compatible with Yosemite? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For Numbers '09 to run smoothly under recent OSes, you need to apply the following updater.
iWork 9.3

* If your Numbers '09 is not from iWork '09 DVD, the updater above would not work because the updater assumes supporting libraries are at
/Library/Application Support/iWork '09
which is the case with the DVD version of Numbers '09 whereas the MAS (Mac App Store) version of Numbers '09 contains supporting libraries in its own application bundle.

PS. If you're not using the latest Numbers v3, you may simply delete it from your disk so that it will no longer mess up the files created with older versions of Numbers.

What's the error message say, exactly? Does the error occur when you sync, or when you just connect it? Does the iPod appear in the iTunes sidebar (under DEVICES), or does this error occur before that can happen?
I have an old 4th Gen (color screen) iPod, which should be the same as an "iPod Photo." It's been sitting idle for a while, but I just connected it to my iMac running Mac OS X 10.7 and iTunes 10.6.1. I think it's the first time I tried since upgrading to Lion. It connected and synced fine using USB.

Open your System Preferences and go to "Security & Privacy". In the General tab set "Allow apps downloaded from:" to Anywhere. (You may have to click the lock and enter your administrator password first before you can make this change).
Now try the installer again. Make sure you change the setting back to it's previous setting when you are done and check the App Store for any updates to your iWork apps before you start using it.

Problems with most recent Leopard upgrade

Since the most recent upgrade of Leopard, my dual G5 is having major issues: external drives disappear, CS3 will not boot, says it is locked but it is not. Virex software crashes half way thru. iphoto buddy will not open new libraries. My install of Leopard went fine but now I am ready to go back to Tiger.

Virex is not compatible with Leopard. When I migrated, I received a warning to that effect. It's a well-known issue - it crashes partway through a scan.
It has been replaced by MacAffe's VirusScan 8.6
