Is TcpTransportBindingElement.ConnectionBufferSize different according windows version?

I am working with Visual Studio 2010, .Net 4.0 and C#.
I am trying to connect to WCF Host Server with Tcpbinding.
            TcpTransportBindingElement element = new TcpTransportBindingElement();
            element.MaxReceivedMessageSize = 2147483647;
            element.MaxBufferSize = 2147483647;
            element.ConnectionBufferSize = 500000;
            element.MaxBufferPoolSize = 500000;
            CustomBinding custom = new CustomBinding(element);
It worked well On Windows 8 or 8.1. I mean at least by now.
But for windows 7 professional, sometimes exception occurs.
I am thinking element.ConnectionBufferSize has a ArgumentOutofRangeException.
I want to know really these setting values are different according to windows version and
if then, how to adjust max values according to windows version.

Why are you setting your buffer sizes larger than what TCP can support and much larger than what the MTU for your networks is going to be anyway?

Can I have a primary database and standby database with a different windows version?

I need your help.
We need to increase the memory in the server where is the standby database , but first, we need to upgrade the windows version.
The actual version is windows 2003 standard edition 64 bits
The new version will be windows 2003 enterprise edition 64 bits
This difference in windows version between primary and standby servers can cause a problem in the synchronization between primary and standby databases ??
What do you recommend? Have both servers in the same windows version?
The databases are in SQL SERVER 2005.

There is no issue with database synchronization as long as SQL Server is of same version.<o:p></o:p>

OS(Windows version) has no restriction for using SQL server 2005 database mirroring/log shipping. You can go with upgrade without any worries on SQL
database side.<o:p></o:p>

Syncing iTunes across Different Platforms (Windws & PC) - Windows Version

Im not sure where to put this questions so I'm adding it to the iTunes for Mac secion as well. I have an iTouch that I have been using on my Windows platform iTunes. In addition to music, I also use iTunes to sync up my contacts and calendar list from Micosoft Office Oulook to my Touch.
Last week I switched to Mac and ported all my music to a new iTunes libary on my Mac. Due to issues with Office I can not use the Mac ver of office for my contacts and calendar.
I loaded VMware Fusion and Windows XP on my Mac and installed iTunes for Windows. I did not move any music, podcasts, etc... over to the Fusion/Windows iTunes - only my contacts and calendar info is on that version.
Now I have two instances of iTunes on my Mac... a Mac version and a Windows version under Fusion.
What I would like to do is:
- Sync my iTouch for Music only using the iTunes running under Mac.
- Sync my iTouch to the Windows version under Fusion for the contact list and calendar updates. This version will not have any music in the library.
Questions:
1) Can I do this without causing a melt down on my touch?
2) What happens when you sync to a library without music? Does it erase the music on the touch?
3) I havent tried to sync my touch to the Mac yet- what will happen when a windows based touch tries to load a mac based iTunes?
If this doesnt work I guess I could reload all my music to the Fusion(PC) version of iTunes and be done with it but I would really like to use my Mac version.

You have got to be kidding! I have been trying for months to do this between my three machines. What exactly is the point to having an iTunes account for multiple machines if you can not have the same library across them? If this isn't the stupidest thing I've come across in years, honest to Pete...
What if I use a thumb drive to keep the directories manually synced? Or does apple go the extra step to prevent this too? Can you point to a library through the intranet? I could just put up a server and point my machines to it, boy wouldn't that be speedy and elegant.
I just want to scream this is so annoying. I might as well go back to a system that works, a Windows phone... The iPhone isn't that much nicer than my old tilt.

Photoshop Elements 4 - Mac versus Windows versions

I downloaded a trial of PE4 onto my Windows machine at work and found it really impressive - great interface, easy to navigate and some great features. On the back of this I bought the Mac version by download, but have found that it is different in several areas, with much poorer navigation and other bits 'missing' such as the pan and zoom effects in slideshow mode.
Has anyone else found similar or am I just not looking in the right places?
I have to say, good programme that it is, I'm dissapointed with it compared to the Windows version. Performance wise I'm happy enough though. It's certainly as fast as the Windows one.

Yes, in many ways the Mac version is superior to the Windows version. In PE 4, for example, you get Bridge (as you would with full PS) as opposed to the Organizer, which is not really any better than iphoto. As suzuken said, Adobe assumes that with iphoto you wouldn't want Organizer too. I myself hate being forced to use the organizer in Windows.
For instance, on the mac you can create a contact sheet and save it, while in the Organizer, you have to print your contact sheet right away and recreate it again next time. It's true the mac version only has the simple pdf slideshow, but iphoto makes slideshows at least as competently as Organizer (and doesn't force you to output WMV files).
As for Universal--each version of PE is based on the current version of PS. According to Bruce Chizen, Adobe's CEO, there won't be a universal version of PS until PS CS3, due in Q2 of 2007, so it will be after that before there's a universal version of PE.

How do I exchange CS5.5 Windows version for a Mac version?

I bought the downloadable online student version of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 (windows version) over 2 years ago. I just bought a Mac and would like to re-install CS but according to Adobe website, I need to exchange the windows version for mac version but since I don't have the most current version of CS (CS6?) I actually have to purchase an upgrade to CS6 first in order to exchange the windows version for mac. Does anyone know how to do this and how much it is going to cost? I found instructions online that led me to a form that was a little vague and confusing so if anyone knows another way to go about doing this let me know! Also, I don't think my membership allows me the privilege of actually speaking to someone in customer service.

Can both OSX and Windows versions be downloaded?

I understand Adobe permits a user to download 2 versions of LR per purchase, as you might do for a Desktop and Laptop computers. However, I can't find whether it must be the same operating system version for each copy.
When I originally bought LR 3, you had to select OSX or Windows version prior to purchasing but now the download selection is offered after the purchase when I recently upgraded to LR 5.
So, can I download one version for OSX & one for Windows 7? Will they play well together if the photos & catalogue are on a portable HD, shared between a laptop & desktop of different OS's?

I've downloaded and installed it on the Windows 7 machine. However, a portable drive that I have used with the Mac is not recognized by Win 7, which I presume is a formatting incompatibility between the OS's. This may be the limiting issue that precludes use across platforms when using a shared portable drive. (the drive is formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled))
Any suggestions of different formatting that could be cross compatible?
This may turn out to be more trouble than it's worth. Best to stay within one ecosystem, I suspect!

After release the release version different than debug version ????

Run same 9i forms servlet in different browser windows

I'm using Oracle9iAS Forms Service to deploy the forms. The problem that I have, is that I'm not able to run the same forms 9i servlet in two different browser windows.
I'm able to run the 9i test form with the following URL in browser window one: http://HOST:PORT/forms90/f90servlet
When I then try to run the same URL in a second browser window I get the following error:
FRM-92050: Failed to connect to the Server: /forms90/l90servlet:-1
Details...
Java Exception:
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Connection from new browser window not supported
I'm using Jinitiator 1.3.1.9 to run the forms.

Iam trying to work with menus.
I have created a menu item EMPLOYEE and calling the employee form like this

Annoying feature in Windows version PS

Recently I switched to windows, and I noticed there's a huge annoying fearture on windows version photoshop(it's cc btw). It's that whenever you use mouse wheel scroll to change value in input field(such as Hue/saturation) or browsing through options bar, they will keep being activated and highlighted, no matter where you move the cursor, different from Mac that activation follows your cursor(which is more user friendly), but you have to hit the screen with arrow or other tools to deactivate. It makes it really inconvenient because very often I need to use wheel scroll zooming back n forth on canvas to check details and the overall feeling, then the mouse wheel becomes very sensitive, for I have to be very cautious and frequently check back if there's any other options activated. Even more dreadful, with a function sub-window opened(like smart sharpen window), it's even harder to deactivate the highlighted in the new window.
For this feature, I really missed my old mac, I don't know if this is even changable, I hope I made my point clear, and appreciate if anyone could help!!

Playback of MP4 file on 2 different Macs/Quicktime versions look different

I created a MP4 file from a Motion project (the project has been transferred between my MacBook Pro on Leopard and my iMac which has Snow Leopard).
On my iMac the file shows 156MB, and I use Quicktime Pro 10.X (its at home so not sure of what version) and the file comes up at 1280x720 as intended.
I then copy the file to my MacBook Pro which has Quicktime Pro 7.6.6 (I thought installing FCP included latest QT Pro Player??). The file size shows up as 149MB, and when i play the file back it comes up squashed, as in it's squashed at the top and bottom. So a circle looks oval now.
When i try and export on my MacBook Pro - i get the squashed image straight away.
I dont understand how this is possible? Can anyone shed light on whats going on? Is it the different QuickTime Pro versions?

Sounds like what you are seeing basic difference in the way the two versions of the QT Player display the aspect ratio. Beginning with iMovie '08 thru iMovie '09 and on into QT Player X, the display dimensions are determined by the by the pixel aspect ratio setting and not the the "Current Size" setting data embedded in your file. QT 7, on the other hand, relies on the "Current Size" sitting to display the movie. When these settings equate to different dimension, your movie will display differently depending on which player you are using at any given time. The easiest way to corrent this problem in your case, is to simply open the movie in QT 7.6.6 Pro, reset the display scale to 1280x720 in the Video Track "Visual Settings" tab in the "Properties" window, and then save these changes. Thereafter, the movie should play correctly in either QT Player. If things had been reversed and it was the pixel aspect ratio setting that had been erroneous, then you would have had to re-compress the file embed the correct aspect ratio. This is also why your QT v7.6.6 attempted exports reproduce the error since it is passing the incorrect scale dimension on to the new file you are creating unless you manually modify the output dimensions.

Trying to find a mozilla download site to download firefox for windows using a linux version because my windows version isn't working.

If you have a previous version, you cannot swap to a different platform or language of the previous version. Instead, it's necessary to upgrade. So the answer to your question is 'Yes' you can go for cross platform upgrade.
