Is the product "red" nano supposed to be pink? I hope not. Please help

I just got mine and it's magenta..not red, I knew that it would be darker than the 2nd gen red nano(which I also have) but this thing is pink, it's not the same shade as the one on apple.com or in reviews. I really hope this is some kind of problem and not the the real color of this thing, I hate all of the other colors.

It should look like this - http://www.apple.com/ipod/red/ - but not quite, has anyone else noticed this and can you compare how yours looks to the pictures that I posted?

I had a close look at my wife's (PRODUCT) RED one and it definitely more of a magenta, than a true red.
I put it next to my mother's hot pink shuffle however, and it is definitely "red" and not pink!
The photo on the iLounge website you used is defintely not the colour I have. The link to the Apple page is spot on colour-wise.
