Is the psu OR the controller malfunctioning !?

Hello everyone,
the past night our two fileservers (X-Servers) crashed! Probably because
of the VTrak E610f, BUT the eventlogs and the current status of the VTrak
don't match !!?
After a hard reboot of the 2 fileserver the file-access is restored for
our colleges... _...but has somebody an idea what I can do/test next??_
Details:
The current status of the XSan is that everyhing is OK,
BUT my second controller went missing????!
On the other hand is my event log telling me that one
of the psu's has to be replaces?! But in the current status
everything seems to be OK..?

The airport express is one of the most unfriendly of Apples devices I've encountered in terms of setup and troubleshooting. If your son took it to College, he most likely reconfigured it while he was there (so it will no longer be configured for your home network).
I would suggest connecting you express to your extreme via the ethernet port (so connect a network cable between the two), you will then be able to see the express when you launch the airport configuration tool (Airport Utility) on your computer. From here you will be able to reconfigure the express to connect to your network again. At which point you can physically disconnect the express and resume wireless.
Essentially you need to start again from the beginning! Heres a guide which might help, let us know how you get on:

How to use application class reference in the controller methods of BSP

Hi,
I have created a bsp application and also created an application class and assigned it to the application class. In the application class, I have created attribute TEXT type string(public and instance parameter).
In the controller let's say main.do, I am trying to give a value to to the text by adding the following code.
application->text = 'test'.
I am getting syntax error saying field 'text' is unknown. It is not contained in one of the specified tables nor defined by DATA statement.
Please can someone let me know how to use the application class in the coding with an example. I couldn't find how exactly this has to be reference. Please help.

How do I switch which of my 2 WLAN controllers is set to be the controller that accepts new WAPs?

Hello:
I have 2 WLAN controllers, a 4400 series and 5500 series controller. The 4400 series has 100 seat limit on it, with 74 Access Points currently connected. The 5500 series has a 250 max, but we bought it with only 50 licenses, and it is max'd out at 50.
The 5500 controller is the controller that has a DNS entry so that the Access Points will know to find that controller as they're being added. BUT, because we've reached our limit of 50 licenses, I'd like to be able to set the 4400 series controller to be the controller that new Access Points try to connect to. By going back to the 4400 as the controller that new Access Points connect to buys me time to plan for more licenses on next years budget for the 5500 controller.
Does anyone know how I can do this? Does this make any sense...seeing there are 2 WLAN controllers in my environment.

I thought of something this evening while at home...Seeing I have 2 WLAN controllers, only the 5500 is listed as an A record on my DNS server. The 4400 is not listed. The 4400 is the one I'm attempting to enable master Controller Mode on, so that the 4400 can discover and manage any unmanaged APs. I enabled Master Controller Mode, but I never changed the DNS A record's IP address to reflect the 4400. If I change the DNS entry to be the IP of the 4400, then enable Master Controller Mode, do you think the controller will then see the APs? I ask because a few threads ago, I asked Stephen which name to use when assigning a name to the primary controller...use the name on the controller or the name in DNS. Stephen replied: "no, the DNS entry is specific to the discovery process. You want the IS-WLC-2 in the 'primary' name field."
So, I'm hoping that switching the A record to be the 4400's IP address AND enabling master Control Mode will allow the APs to be discovered and managed. Does this sound plausible?

I really feel sorry for bringing up this discussion again. I wouldn't dare to ask this question if I find someone's clear cut suggestion/solution or an overview giving a detailed step-by-step procedure. People just suggest jumping through so many hoops like resetting the AP or converting it back to standalone mode and then back to LWAPP.
Hence I have so many questions and hope that we can make a good guide covering all possible problems.
1) AP was originally running a standalone image. I booted it into a so-called ROMMON or AP mode (ESC is the right key to make it boot into this mode)
I found a recovery image in its flash - c1140-rcvk9w8-mx. I made the AP boot from it by using "set" command and I see that it start booting using this recovery image. Here goes the question. Do all AP settings matter ? E.g. when I run "set" command from AP I see the following:

2) How would do something like "write erase" or even recover the enable password while being in AP mode? Do I really need to do it ? What I see next makes me believe there's something with the AP configuration (particularly SSH) that prevents an AP join WLC.
3) The AP is powered on, connected to the switchport on the same L2 VLAN where WLC management interface. Then it boots and gets an IP address from the DHCP server located on the other switch.

4) Do I have to connect the controller ap-manager interface to the network or I can rely on the AP find the WLC via its management interface. I have never worked with 4400 series controllers. Just started with 5500 and they don't have the ap-manager interface.
Cisco guide says: "The management interface is also used for layer two communications between the WLC and access points", so I can safely assume that it is enough. Moreover I can ping the AP from the WLC while connected to WLC via SSH and its management interface.
5) And finally, what's wrong with the discovery? This is what I see on the controller while debugging capwap packets:

I am currently working in a new application with a cRIO system and I am having some issues when try to run a VI. My actuall configured hardware is as follow:

Well, I made VI to test my inputs and outputs, and the problem that I am having is that when I try tu run the VI, in the deployment window I get an error message that read: The scan engine received a request for an I/O driver which is not currently installed on the controller.
Apparently there is another driver that I need to instal in the controller, but I have no idea of what driver could be. If someone have any idea of what this problem could be, I really will appreciate your help.

Are you getting this error when you build it into a Real-Time Application (EXE) or when you just run it from the development environment? Is that the recommended set of software or did you do a custom software install on the controller?

What is the correct way to inform the controller of an exception in MVC?

Hi this question has been on my mind for a while.
Imagine you have a an application based on MVC (mode, view controller) design pattern.
If a non-fatel exception is thrown in the model (e.g. a number format exception) what is the standard way to of informing the controller so that it can do something useful like display an error pop-up or 'gracefully' shut-down the application.
The two ideas I came up with are:
-Return -1 or some other variable in the 'catch' of the try/catch.
Could be messy, every time you called a risky method you would have to wrap it in an if statement.
-Declare the model as throwing the exception - that way the controller can 'catch' it and do something useful.
Possibly makes the controller less cohesive.
-Handle the error directly from the model by having it display a pop-up error message or forward to an error page etc.
This would make the model less cohesive.
The controller should still be informed for the exception so it can decide what to do next - if the exception occurred during form validation shouldnt the controller e responsible for redisplaying the form with an error message?
Is there a 'best practice' of handling exceptions?

Just have it throw an Exception and let the Controller deal with it.
Using a pop-up in the Model makes no sense to me. User interface is the View's job. Ultimately, an error pop-up may be presented, but the problem will be passed back to the View before that happens.

Problems with the Controller in WebDynpro

Hello, I have a question: I am trying to do create files to my project in WebDynpro and it gives errors me, one of the so many errors that leave to me is: wdContext cannot be resolved, this to that it must? Another one is: IPrivateComponent cannot be resolved. I have already reimport the model and e I did rebuild to the project, no longer that but to do, hopefully they can help me.

I purchased the Logitech F310 game controller for my 2011 MacBook Pro. How do I get the driver installed for it. The Disk that came with the controller is a mini disk and will not insert into my laptop.

May not make a difference anyway. The Logitech support site does not show drivers for Mac OS for the F310:

I'd contact their support to find out if there is a Mac driver available, and if they can either give you a web link to get it, e-mail you the software, or snail-mail you a standard-size disk with the drivers.

How to get the table Event action in the controller???

If not you can use image component with clientListener and serverListener to preform your requirement set clientListener click event and then inside clientListener java script method call the
serverListener then will execute serverListener method.

1142 N series AP is not registering in the controller

I am trying to connect few 1142 N series AP to my existing controller 4404. I have upgrade the code of the WLC (AIR-WLC4400-K9-6-0-182-0.aes) . But iam getting the following error messages .

Before trying the stuff below, you might want to connect your AP back to the network, go to the controller CLI and issue the following command:
debug capwap detail enable
Watch watch messages are displayed when the AP fails to join.
I can't my docs on how to do this, so I can't be sure these instructions are corrent...
You may want to try and clear all the LWAPP/CAPWAP configuration that the AP has learned. While holding in the mode button, apply power to the AP (release the mode button after about 5 seconds). Via the console port, you should be able to get to a command prompt. Go to enable mode (password should be "Cisco" or "cisco" [without the quotes]. Once in enable mode, try issuing a "clear lwapp private-config" command. If that doesn't work, try working through the CLI help to see what clear options you have. You then might want to try and manually set up the AP. Sample commands to give it an IP address and point it towards a WLC are below.
#clear lwapp private-config
#lwapp ap hostname mynewap
#lwapp ap ip address 10.77.244.199 255.255.255.224
#lwapp ap ip default-gateway 10.77.244.220
#lwapp ap controller ip address 172.16.1.50

It is not working when jsp is outside of the Controller(.jpf) directory

I am new to Portal. I am using Weblogic 8.1SP2. The problem is when there is a general jsp I want to put it common directory. It is working fine when I run starting from individual Controller but When I put its portlet in Portal, then the action is NOT falling into its caller's Controller but into the root Controller. Is this normal ? Is there a way to have the action call back to its caller Controller ? The director structure is :

Yes. I did try to put directory path in front of the action to tell which Controller it should go. It didn't throw exception but It acted like called directly from that Controller. It is not under portal.

I need that firstline printed so we know instantly from which user the email was printed (the To: field often is the same name of the sender of the mail, therefor you won't know WHO printed it...).

Problem with transient attribute attach to standard vo from the controller

Hi all,
I attached two transient attributes to the standard vo through controller.
Then i passed values to these fields from controller based on another field in the standard vo.
I created two columns in the table without given the view instance and view attribute.
But in the controller i'm setting the view instance and view attribute for this two columns.
After i applied this extended controller it is working fine, but one problem is there.
Once if i clear the cache and then i enters the page, the extended fields are appearing with null. if i press F5 in the browser then its working fine.
same problem happens only when the cache cleared or server gets bounced. so i need to go each page and press F5 once then everything is fine.
Here, I shared my code, please tell me what is the problem and how to solve this.

1. ExecuteQuery should already be executed in Base Controller, So please check if you need it. though i don't think that might be causing the issue.

2. The code where you call findAttributeDef and handle the Exception, Can you debug that portion. As It may not be throwing exception in any case and so the Attributes were never added to VO and Page Displays null..
I am not sure, but i think the issue seems to be around 2.

In OAF, How to get the DFF Attributes bean in the PR of the controller

I am not able to get the holder of the Descriptive Flex Field bean attributes in the processrequest method of the controller. Any idea, how to get it?

You cannot reorder the dffbeans. In DFF setup definition itself, you have to maintain the sequence of the fields.
DFF beans are listed under flow layout by default. Following note from OA Framework developer guide

If you want to do something unusual with the descriptive flexfield UI layout (like insert a button after every segment or move the segments around), you need to follow these steps:
Find the OADescriptiveFlexBean by attribute name and call the processFlex method on OADescriptiveFlexBean. After this, you will be creating the flexfield segment web beans based on metadata and the view object attribute.
Call the getIndexedChild(int)method on the flexfield web bean to go through all the child of the flexfield and alter the layout as desired.

AP1042 802.11a/n/ac Radios down in the controller

802.11b/g/n Radios is up but 8021.11a/n/ac radio is down.   802.11a netowrk status is already enabled. Not too sure what may most likely be causing it to down?

This is the reason why your AP's 802.11a radio is permanently disabled. Unfortunately, the Wireless LAN Compliance Status (06 October 2014) doesn't list old-model APs. And this doesn't help anyone.
