It the same phone but you don't have to have data on it if you don't want since they are older phones.  We had these phones without data as I didn't think they would be good for surfing the net compared to a smart phone.  Mary

Can anyone tell me how I keep everything I had in my old photoshop, now I've updated to Photoshop CC 2014.  It did give me the option to transport over all my presets, but because I didn't have internet access at the time, it couldn't do it.  Now I'm not getting the option.  Please help.

Migrating Presets does not require a network connection and you can still migrate your cc presets if you still have CC installed.  Use Photoshop menu Edit>Presets>Migrate Presets...  Migrating presets only migrates presets.  It does not migrate Plugins, settings, extensions and scripts.  CC 2014 is also not completely backwards compatible with CC.  Support for Flash Panels and Oil Painter filter have been removed.  So extensions like mini bridge no longer work in CC 2014

  • My Apple TV menu keeps flickering between the standard menu and one that only has "Internet, Computers, and Settings" What is going on?

I will be watching a movie or tv show and it will just quit working, reverting back to a three selection menu. Then it will go to the standard menu and back, doing this a few times. I cant seem to get it to stop and it didnt happen when i first got the ATV.

I had this issue with both our Apple TVs and it turned out to be a bad router.
The router was generating enough radio interference on the Wi-Fi channels the Apple TVs used that they could not hold the signal, and were constantly associating/disassociating with the bad router.
I figured this out by monitoring the status logs on the Time Machine - Advanced tab, and seeing an associate/disassociate message every five seconds or so.
Removing the bad router fixed the problem.

  • Is there a difference between the Ethernet WAN port and the other 3 Ethernet Ports on a Time Capsule?

As posted previously, my time capsule will not set up properly because I get an IP address conflict pop up window.  Is there a difference between the "Ethernet WAN Port" and the other three ports on the back of the Time Capsule?  I may have the DSL modem hooked into the "Ethernet WAN Port".  Thanks.

it depends what you want to achieve and what configuration you have on your DSL modem/router.
Resetting TC and run connection wizard from the Airport utility.
    Post the problems.

Refurbished I would suggest - refurbished products have slightly different product codes.

  • Is there any difference between the commerical product and the Teacher/Student version?

In Adobe Photo Shop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 is there any difference between the commerical product and the Teacher/Student version? I don't remember them having two versions in the past.

Is there a difference? Sure. Will it be noticable? Maybe.
The 9i client will use one of the 9i ODBC drivers. The 8i client will use one of the 8i ODBC drivers. The 9i drivers will generally have more bug fixes & more features than the 8i drivers. It is possible, though rare, that the 9i drivers will fix a bug whose behavior your application was dependent on and/or introduce bugs that were not in the earlier version. Of course, you have to consider the different features of the underlying clients as well-- i.e. a 9.2 Oracle client cannot communicate with a 7.3.4 database, an 8i client doesn't know how to handle data types introduced in 9i (i.e. TIMESTAMP), etc.

  • I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for?

I downloaded Mavericks and it won't install. I did re-set my password and when I click on Install for Mavericks, I still get a box for "administrator password" and it still won't accept my new password. Is there a difference between my Apple ID and the administrator password they're asking for? I never had an administrator password-- I just hit enter and have never had a problem before with previous installations. I'm on an iMac, from 2007, running Mt. Lion (version 10.8.5). I've been looking for other's posts who may be having the same problem, but haven't found any. Can anyone help?

Ugh. The 'no password, no work' thing is a recent Apple development. I ran into it on my system and ended up having to do a clean install on a partition I fully erased.
I suppose, if you have the ability to, go online and look up how to burn a bootable DVD image. Download the 10.8.4 image then use the Disk Utility to make a boot image of it. You'll need a dual-layer DVD or a USB drive (or memory stick at least 8GB) If you've got an optical drive, burn the disk, if you've a USB device, use that.
Then get a pocket drive and copy your important files off the system or let Time Machine do a full backup.
When the backup is done, insert the disk and hold down the C key until the machine boots off of the DVD. At the point you get to the start window, go to the menu and choose the Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility, reformat the drive. You go to the actual DRIVE (not the Macintosh HD, but the root above it that is the actual hard drive device)
I always do this and *partition* it into several volumes, the benefit being, you can store all of your music, documents and importans stuff on that secondary storage volume you make - it will have it's own index and then the first volume is where you put the OS and it will have it's own index as well. That way, if the OS throws a wobbler and you need to reinstall, you don't lose your data.
Depending on the size of your hard drive, it is good to give your OS partition at least 60GB and optimally 100GB, and the rest for storage.
Name your volumes, use the little box sliders to manually size them or put that number in the size window, select for the format, Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and hit Apply and then the Disk Utility will quickly create your new partitions.
Once finished, quit the Utility and it will return you to the OS installer. Select the volume you want to install to and it should start up and install.
Once the installation is done, you'll get the new machine startup then you MUST put in a password for the computer. Once you're in, and to the desktop, don't bother with any Mountain Lion updates, go right to the App Store and get the Mavericks update and let it install the app to your Applicaitons folder, then do that install.
On a side note, there MAY be a way to make a disk image from the Mavericks application and avoid the entire Mountain Lion step.. I honestly do not know, but a bit of hitting the search engines may find out if there is. I think that if you looked for "make Mavericks boot disk or boot image' you may find something.
    Good luck!

  • Is there any difference between the 2 different USB cords when syncing???

I know this may be a paranoid question to ask but I just wanted to make sure.
Is there any difference between the newer USB cords with the shorter plug (the end that goes into the iPhone) and the older ones with the bigger, square-shaped plugs that you can pinch on the sides to retract?
Is there a difference in transfer speed, syncing speed, or reliability, or build quality?
Just asking cuz the newer USB cord that came with my iPhone 3GS is getting frayed and so I'm using the older one instead.
    Thanks to whoever helps.

No difference except, as you noted, you have to squeeze the older one to remove it. It's important that you do that so you don't damage it or the iPod.

  • Is there any difference between the digital connection cables?

Is there any difference between digital connection cables that connect to the back of a computer?  I've seen some with two groups of nine pins and a blade.  I've seen some with a solid group of 27 pins.  I've seen the blade pin and the four pin.  I currently run one that has two groups of nine pins with a blade pin.  I use it for DVI and it does ok.  I wanted to look into the HDMI cable and see how or if things would be different.  I bought a cable that has the 27 pin connector with a blade.  It physically connects but there is no signal.  I checked the monitor and I set it first to HDMI and then tried AUTO.  It made no difference.  I powered it all down and restarted it all and there was no difference.  Do I need to keep looking for a cable that has the same design connection to the PC but has the HDMI connection on the other end.  I may have this info wrong.  I just know I have two large connections at the time but the last cable I tried had one large connector and one that looked like an advanced USB design.  And then is there really any gain between the two as far as video quality or response?

There are several type of connectors/cables with different effect.
    VGA
    DVI
    HDMI
To understand more, I would say please look it up.
    Wish you luck,
    Karthik

  • Is there a difference between the earphone output and the audio output of the docking connector, or is it in fact the same signal ?

Is there a difference between the earphone output and the audiooutput of the docking connector of the iphone 4, or is it in fact the same signal ?

One basic difference is that the LTE frequencies each is able to operate on are different. After that, it is pretty much the same phone. Others might be able to add to this.

  • If I want to buy the iPad Air from US although I'm from Hong Kong, is there any difference between buying in Apple Store and in BestBuy ?

If I want to buy the iPad Air from US although I'm from Hong Kong, is there any difference between buying in Apple Store and in BestBuy ?
E.g. I buy it in BestBuy, I still can take the iPad Air to the genius bar if there are problems for the iPad?
    Thanks!

Yes, as long as you buy a new device from an Apple Authorized reseller (which BestBuy is) then you have the normal Apple one year warranty with it.  Apple will honor that warranty in any of their stores, and anyone with any Apple device is welcome in any Apple retail store with questions or seeking help.

Hi, I just watched the video for the Microcell and you have to use your broadband connection to get it to work and the problem is my broadband connection is down the times I'm using my 3G. That's why I use it, because my broadband connection is not working so much of the time.
    Any other suggestions? :-)

  • Is there any difference between the iPad and iPhone cables?

Alot of people are mentioning that there's difference with the speed while syncronising/backup. I am just wondering is there any difference between the cables? and how can I distinguish it? Coz I have most of the i- products and I have just mixed up all the cables >__< Thank you!

I can confirm that iPad/iPod cables are identical. Don't know about iPhone. IF there is a difference, you'll know immediately - function or functions won't work.
There will be NO speed difference. Either the copper is present or it isn't and copper is copper.

  • Is there any difference between an unlocked Iphone sold in australia and the USA and if i bought one from the USA what would I have to do to use it.

Is there any difference between an unlocked Iphone sold in australia and the USA and if I bought one from the USA what would I have to do to use it.

An unlocked phone is an unlocked phone.  It's sold without a SIM card.  You have to get a SIM card from the carrier you want to use, with an account set up, insert the SIM and activate the phone in iTunes.
Unlocked phones sold by the USA online Apple store can only be shipped to a US address and paid for by a US credit card
The only difference between an officially unlocked iPhone sold in the US and Australia is the warranty.  The warranty is valid only in the country of sale.  If you buy the phone in the US and return to Australia, if it breaks you have to ship it to a US resident who will get it to Apple and return it to you.  It can't be shipped direct in either direction.
