Is there a ( SEND LATER ) option in Apple Mail ?

Hi, I need to configure apple mail in Mac OS X 10.5.6 to queue messages, i.e. send latter,
I don't want to take the account offline, I still want to receive messages but be able to control when an eMail is actually sent.
It's for a client who has a bad habit of sending unfinished eMails too quickly.
We are moving her to mail after 8 years using Eudora.

If a particular client or particular software package doesn't work for you, then go find a package that better fits your requirements and expectations; there are options around. Thunderbird seems to have options here.
As for suggestions around Apple Mail, that's usually via the "Provide Mail Feedback" item in the Apple Mail menus. Apple Mail > Mail > Provide Mail Feedback > and make your case.
Would there be a reason to hold off on sending your enhancement suggestion for a few hours?

I administrate an office and we switched to macs very recently. Now the problem I am having is one of the workstations will send emails but very slowly and it sometimes it doesn't send at all through apple mail. It work fine through gmail client but this client needs to use apple mail and it just won't send it will recieve messages flawlessly. Any ideas? This is the only computer having problems with this!

Use following steps to import apple mail to outlook:
Choose Mailbox->Export Mailbox, or choose Export Mailbox from the Action pop-up menu
Choose a folder or create a new folder where you want to store the exported mailbox.
Outlook for Mac: Choose File->Import Mailboxes. Select the mail application you want to import messages from.
If it does not work then you should use third party apple mail to pst applications. You can easily search in Google about these applications.

Can't send talktalk emails from apple mail.

My talk talk inbox on the apple mail programme is stubbornly empty and I can't send emails from it. My aol account works fine. It's a POP setting account I think and the incoming port number is correct at 110. Don't know how to check the outgoing port which I gather should be 587. How can I repopulate my inbox and send emails from the laptop again? I can from my phone and iPad.

Cannot send scanned PDF via Apple Mail

Hi all,
here at work we have the strange problem that we cannot send Mails with PDFs which are scanned with our MFP Xerox Phaser 6180MFP-D and then transferred to the Mac Desktop which are the send with Apple Mail.
In the Activity Window we see that the Mail sending is stalling at 16%. Other PDFs can be sended without Problems.
Even the PDFs which we cannot send with Apple Mail can be send with Entourage 2004. The Problem exists in OSX 10.5 and OSX 10.3. Does anyone have an Idea how we can try to solve this? Is there a debugger around?

Can you email me such a PDF (using Entourage apparently)? My address can be found by clicking on my name to the left, and looking in the bio line of the resulting Profile.
I will be able to test with both 10.5 and 10.4. I am suspecting this may be a timing out problem? Could be related to MTU (maximum transmission unit) with your connection, which can differ depending upon the application doing the uploading. If so there are diagnostics tests for checking -- see:

The latter would appear to not relate to using 10.3, but something may be untested with that.

I recently had to update to os10.10 and consequently office 2011 with outlook. All was going well with the outlook mail until yesterday when the outlook send mail stopped working, receive works ok. I get error code 3259 and the message "an operation on the server timed out. the server may be down, overloaded, or there may be too much net traffic." In the details "Mail could not be sent. Account name: "[email protected]" The send failure occurs on my yahoo accounts, gmail accounts and comcast accounts. Both send and receive work ok on apple mail. Can anyone help me sort this and avoid going to microsoft support?

hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music' then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

No "Outlook" import option in Apple Mail

When I try to import my mailbox from my Mac Outlook email client into my Apple Mail email client, there is no import option for Outlook (there is an option for Outlook's predecessor Entourage but Outlook is nowhere to be seen). Is there no compatibility in Lion's Mail for Outlook?

Is there a printable view option in Mac Mail?

Hi, If I print out a email I get the full header. Is there a printable view option or a way I can select a mail option to not show full header, at least while I print out a email. The way it is now, I end up with one full page of header information and a second page with the email message. So the email message there is no date because it's on the first page with the header.

Welcome to the Discussions.
While this would not be handy for me, if left the same all the time, you can Show Header detail to None in Mail Preferences/Viewing, and then print. Not very useful except with a few messages.

Is there a "tool tips" option with Apple discussions?

Is there a setting or some way that when you put your curser over the title of a thread, part of the actual text of the message pops up so you don't have to click on the thread. Some threads titles are so vague, this would be a nice option.

How many Emails can you send at once with Apple Mail?

I found out that road runner will allow me to send 1000 email in a 24 hour period. The question is, can I put 950 email addresses in the bcc and send it, or is it too many e mails at once. How many or what is the max emails you can send at once? Thanks

The picture shows there if the contact has a picture in your address book. If you don't want a picture, remove their picture from your Address Book.
There's no way to do it from within Mail.
And if the recipient of the email is on a Mac and has your picture in their address book, they'll see that picture attached to any emails they receive from you. There is no way to change that.

Email frozen, connection doctor say ok but can't send or receive through apple mail. Works ok when opened using safari

My apple e-mail has suddenly stopped working. Connection doctor say everything is fine (no connection problems) If accessed through safari account works fine. Also have had to "force quit" on a number of occassions. Any help much appreciated.

Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
Note, in 10.5 & up /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/ may or may not exist.
