Is there a way to customize the IDE font?

Hi,
I'm trying to tweak the JDeveloper IDE so that I could specify the font for the menus and dialogs, which seems to be the default 'sans-serif';
I know, it's the least annoyance you can have, but, however, if there's a way to do it plz let me know.JDeveloper gets these fonts from the Swing Look And Feel, so there's not a way to customize it.
Rob Thx for hinting me where to search... :) Indeed, I wanted to modify all the Swing Look and Feel fonts, for any Java app that would use it.
It suffices to modify the font.properties file in the %JDeveloper installation folder%\jdk\jre\lib folder and to replace "Arial" with the desired font where desired... I replaced f.e. all Arial except Arial Black with Tahoma.
For Windows users, use Wordpad instead of Notepad, it handles Unix-style line ends better.
BTW, for seamless integration with Windows current theme settings, there is an article at

It cannot be customized. The workaround is to create your own web page and embed our form into it. That way they only see your URL.

I can change it for one conversation, but then it resets to the default, tiny font.
The preferences menu only lets me change the conversation font.

Hi,
As you may remember there used to be a Messages pane to the Preferences where the Font and colour of the Balloons or background and the Font text colour could be changed.
And there was a Format Menu for character, word and Sentence changes in the current IM or iMessage.
Those have gone in Yosemite's version of Messages (Despite it retaining the designation of Messages 8 the same as Mavericks' version).
All that can be done now is set the size of the font and this has been moved to the General Section of the Preferences.
The Yosemite version has also been fixed to using the Balloons style of send and receiving any type of messages as well.
Changing the Font would involved editing the Balloon.transcript file.

Is there a way to customize the MDM Workflow email notification content?

I am looking for a way to customize the MDM Workflow email / notification content. For example, I might want to put the Supplier ID(s) of the impacted supplier records (be it Update, Insert & Delete) into the email body or put an URL into the email body.
Can MDM Workflow do this?
Is there any workaround?

What you can do is add a boolean field to the repository, for instance "Send Mail". You can use an assignment in the Workflows to set this field to true. Next, define an updatelistener and pick up the change to this field. If the value is "true", send out an email. Afterwards, let the listener change the value back to "false".

Is there a way to assign the default font for font substitution?

I use PsCS3 at home and work. I took some work home today, and SHOCK, I didn't have any of the same fonts I have on my Mac at work. Right now, I'm laboriously changing all my type layers one by one to a suitable replacement font on my PC. There's got to be a better way - more suitable to a lazy sod like me, right?
The perfect solution would be to assign the font I want to use for the default substitution font (which is Myrid Pro). I've searched everywhere, but have come up with nada. Is there a way to change this default font to one of my selection?
Any tips to help out will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can change all the type layers at on by selecting them all (Ctrl+click on each or Shift+click a range) then make the change.

Is there a way to customize the toolbar/ruler in TextEdit? i.e. add buttons

I've become so annoyed by various aspects and quirks of MicrosoftWord that I'm trying to wean myself off it and migrate over to TextEdit as a simpler, faster and more stable day-to-day default word processing program.
In TextEdit's "Rich Text" mode, with the ruler/toolbar showing, there are only a few standard drop-down menus and buttons: Styles, Paragraph-align, Spacing and Lists. Is there a way to add new buttons or drop-down menus to this default selection? One of the few nice things about MSWord is that one could customize the toolbar. I'd expecially like to add simpler font-formatting buttons like "Strikethru" and font-sizes to TextEdit. I realize these things can be accessed via the "Fonts" floating window (command-T), but that's a whole extra keystroke and having to reach across the screen.
I presume there isn't a way to add these custom formatting buttons, but I just wanted to make sure.

Captivate 8: Is there a way to customize the Toolbar?

Just got the new Captivate 8, it seems that I can't set my Toolbar in vertical position, and the only Workspace preset is in Classic...
Is this the default configuration or am I missing something?

No way, that is the price that power users have to pay to make it easier for newbies. No customisation, no real toolbox that could be moved and was vertical but only a fixed BBB (Big Button Bar). I'm not happy at all with those changes.
As for workspaces, I was so angry (really) that the team provided a way to create your own workspaces, by making the panels undockable and draggable. You have to activate an option in the Preferences, General settings. There is however no way to reduce a panel to an icon as was the case in CP7 (miss that UI so much in 8):

When selecting a font for a message in Thunderbird, the only way I can find to see what the font looks like is to actually change the font of text I've already written. To try more than a few fonts at random would be a sheer waste of time.
I'm using an older version of MS Word, which has the option of allowing the user to see the actual fonts displayed in the font selection drop-down list.
Is there any way to set up Thunderbird to do this?

I've had my iphone 4s for a few weeks now, graduating up from the Bberry world.
I've been searching the phone settings and the web for instructions on how to increase the default font.
This would be most helpful for us 50+ people who use reading glasses and have trouble seeing things these days in low light or when you can't expand the text like in an email or web page.
The affects the features like: Messaging, Notes, Reminders, Calendar, etc.....
Seems like this device should have this ability somewhere.
Even my lo tech Bberry had this option.....don't make me go back....

Is there any way to customize the size of windows in the presenter display?

I have updated keynote to the newest version (6.0). Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I can customize any part of the presenter display. I can add or remove windows/panels, but not resize them. Is there really no way to do this? That would be a major drawback and would certainly make me consider going back to a 4+ year-old version of Keynote.

Well, different people have different styles of giving different presentations to different audiences in different venues.
When you have given a couple thousand presentations (and I mean this number literally), you know that requirements vary. That's why a customizable presenter display was a godsend, probably the biggest selling point that Keynote had for serious presenters.
You still can customize, turning features on and off, but you can't influence how a turned-on feature looks like size-wise.
("Looking over your shoulder" doesn't work in all venues, and probably would be recognized as the hallmark of an amateur presenter by most people in the audience who give a lot of presentations themselves.)
You can export from Keynote '13 (Keynote 6) to Keynote '09 (Keynote 5). Keynote '09 seems to run fine on Mavericks, by the way.
Not being able to see the pointer on the presenter display when you use it to point out something on the slideshow display is one thing that was wrong in Keynote '09 and they haven't fixed in Keynote '13.
(Now what I really want to get back is an alternative mode where I can edit the presentation on one screen and show it on the other at the same time...
Powerpoint in Windows was great for that. But that's a completely different style of presentation again.)

Is there any way to control the transition of the accordion
headers. I want a confirm message to appear when a header in an
accordion control is clicked and if the user selects Yes then only
the accordion should open the clicked header portion else the
previous header portion should remain open.
I tried to override the headerClick event and its event
Handler but both are declared as private in the Accordion class
also the event.preventDefault doesnot function. Is there any way to

But, as said before, sharing the same session shouldn't give any problems at all. Which problems are you occurring? If you have problems with that they shares the same session, then you are apparently storing values in the session scope while they belongs in the request scope.

And i need to set the userID to session for future reference.
the scenario is like this,
1. I am loading the JSF application in iFrame of a .NET page and the user can invoke multiple instance of the same .Net page in different browser at a time.
2. After loading the JSF application, the server will establish session with the browser and at that time the same session is sharing by the windows.
3. From the JSF page i am again invoking a popup window for a wizard and this popup window will be in the same session with the parent window. So whe we invoke the popup window from the any other JSF page, it will also share the same session although the userid is different
I have tested and the same session cookies are shared among the pages. So we need someway to manage the creation of session. By writting a servletResponseWrapper and overridding the addCookie method will have any effect?
Or can you please suggest some other alternatives?
