Is there a way to save data accessed through Control Refnum?

Hi,
I am controlling 4 instruments, each from its own VI. (LabVIEW 7.1) I have built a seperate VI which calls all the instrument VIs as subVIs and displays all the readings. I would like to save the data I am displaying in the main VI. In the subVIs, I use loops to continuously read data, so I use Control Refnums in the main program to access and display the changing readings. Is there a way for me to save the data from the Control Refnums in my main VI, preferably all in the same file?

Thanks for replying so quickly. I've attached a screenshot of my block diagram.
I've worked on it a little more since my post, and now the data is being saved, but it doesn't make sense. I am saving it as a .lvm file and opening it in Excel. I'm new to LabVIEW, so I may simply be struggling with the syntax and logic. From my experience coding, it makes sense to have the data stored inside the while loop. However, in this program, it seems that the data doesn't start saving until after I've stopped the subVIs.

Is there a way to save data to just one view in Flex Mobile applications?

I am having trouble handling data between views in a Flex Mobile application that I am writing. I know how to pass data from one view to another, but I was wondering if there is a way to save that data to a view, then get more data from another view (in this case it would be the same view that the original data came from) and put that data on the same view without overwriting the original data. I have to think you have tried operating the iPhone with the charging cable plugged into a charger and outlet or USB. It is likely you have tried this and it failed to operate. Have you tried a Reset on the iPhone to see if that will cause the battery to function ling enough to do an iCloud backup or iTunes backup?

My iphone 4 was thrown at the floor and smashed. It charges still, and switches between showing the apple logo on screen, to blank, and then sometimes to the initial start up screen where it asks me to connect it to itunes. When plugged into the computer however the computer doesn't show it in Devices, and it doesn't appear in Itunes. I am wondering if there are any options to try and get all my photos and contacts off it in particular. I am not sure if itunes backed up the data when i updated the phone previously... If a repairer was too look at it and they are not with Apple, you would void your warranty entirely.
To check previous backups, go into Edit>Preferences>Devices on Windows, and iTunes>Preferences>Devices for Mac, that will show a list of backups

Waveform Graphs: Is there a way to save data to a file and then clear the graph after each run?

This is just an added feature that I would like to insert because I end up having to erase the previous graph(for viewing and simplification purposes) after almost every plot cycle. Does LabVIEW 7.0 have a built-in feature that allows the user to automatically clear the graph after each run.

May I recall you that to clear a graph you have to create a property node,
choose value and connect an 1D array with its first value to zero.
Then using a Select vi enables you to choose from clear or graph value.

Wow, have seen Files do that, but a whole Folder as I recall!
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

Rcshnoor nailed it, everything will depend on how they manage their data connection once the laptop is connected. It is perfectly feasible that they will have no issues with this new connection. However, there is nothing stopping the user from going above and beyond the data usage cap currently sufficient for the phone by itself. We cannot presume that any estimations on new usage will be accurate either.
Users should always be aware of the reality that revolves around data usage and the devices that consume them. Its no different than installing a 2nd waterline/hose on your house. Sure the hose will be fine if you remember to turn it off when you are done, but no one is going to stop you from letting it run all night if you forget.

Is there a way to save the last curor position in Numbers? We have a custom Budget spreadsheet but every time we open the file, we have to scoll to the bottom of the spreadsheet.
There are several thousand entries, and every time we open it, we have to scroll to the bottom of the screen which is getting fairly annoying.
Every time we open it, regardless of what sheet or cell we are in when it is saved previously, it opens at the top....
Any suggestions?

reverse the order of you entries and add rows at the top of the table. That is have newest date entries at the top and oldest at the bottom

Is there a way to save a restored session (without opening it) to bookmarks?

I kinda get carried way with opening tabs, like I'll have 50-200 open at any time. And you can imagine what it's like when Firefox crashes and you attempt to restore a crashed session - all the tabs reopen at the same time.
Is there any way to save a crashed session's tabs/windows to bookmarks directly from the restore session list? This would be so useful... sometimes I just want to go to a couple places and then close Firefox, worrying about the crashed session later, and without having to open every single tab in it at once.

It would be very practical if we could choose to save the crashed session as bookmarks into a date-stamped bookmark folder instead of restoring, and even an option to "copy to clipboard" just like "CopyAllurls" does (firefox add-on) - with title and urls, grouped by domain, for example. When a 200+ tabs session crashes, what we need is mostly to not loose track of what we worked with, but not strictly loading them all in one go at startup. Furthermore, whenever we really do load them all, then it would be smarter if Firefox loaded just a certain (configurable figure?) number of tabs, then waits for them to load, and fill in with the next tabs as the currently loading tabs finish. It should not attempt to load all 200+ simultaneously, as that creates other problems. Will look for any existing feature requests about this and chime in there. Is there a way to save an IRS fill-in PDF form as a Word document?

I preparing a large number of IRS Form 8282. I would think that saving the form as a Word document and being able to merge my data would be the most efficient way to prepare these forms. Is there a way to save the form in Word?

Other than GetboxMan's suggestion, you'll want to be sure that the IRS will accept a Word document bfore doing the work. My agency collects tax documents and we're very specific about what you send back. It needs to be something that works with our data collection software.
At any rate, if they DO accept Word documents, you may want to try out the trial version of Acrobat. It has the abiity to save as a Word document (although the success rate can be low). The trial is fully functional and free for 30 days.

Hi all, I'm relatively new to Java, and have a quick question.
What is the best way to save data in an application, and what is a good rule of thumb when to dive into a database to hold the information. For example a directory of people and their information. I want the program to be able to add/update/delete the information with ease.
I was reading in Core Java Vol II how to save object data to a file, but it seems tedious if I have to run through a list of objects and save each one. I just want to be able to save records, and retrieve them to edit later.

Zoom will enlarge anything on the screen, simply double tap with three fingers.
To turn Zoom on/off go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom.
Large text may also work for you.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Large text. Select the font size that works best for you.
Printing or accessing text messages via the computer is not support. Google it and you will find options.
You can also copy and past the content into an email to send to yourself. Then that email could be printed out.

Is there a way to save Publish Settings?

I had a machine crash. My data files and LRCAT are stored on a separate drive so after reloading all the software I just pointed to my current LRCat. I found out that the publish settings are not stored in the catalog (seems like a smart place to keep them).
Is there any way to save these settings? Or other settings like import/export user settings and the like?

Publish settings are stored in preferences (.agprefs file).
Export presets are stored in .lrtemplate files.
Both are in subfolders of Lightroom "app data" folder.
Consider running Aux Backup for a complete list of all auxiliary Lr files (includes all critical data files except catalog and photos).
