Is there a way to unhide a control at edit-time?

This should be a simple question; I'm probably missing something obvious. Sometimes I will be working on an application that I can't run because my computer is not hooked up to the necessary hardware, like motor controllers or DAQ. In that program, I have controls or indicators whose "visible" property gets toggled with property nodes. If I happen to save the program when one of these controls is hidden, I have no way of unhiding it without running it (which I can't do on my computer). While it is hidden, I can get a peek at it by double clicking the terminal on the block diagram, but that's not much use. You can always right click controls and go to advanced>>hide, but when they are already hidden, the option is still "hide" in the menu, not "unhide". Is it really impossible to unhide controls without a property node?

You can run [LabVIEW]\project\_ShowHidden\ShowHidden Core.vi. Assuming the VI in question is already open, just specify its name in ShowHidden Core.vi, and all hidden controls/indicators will be shown.

First let me say that I am ready to throw this POS in the lake. Is there a way that I can control iTunes with my iPhone without any internet connections? On my houseboat I have a wifi router and want to connect my phone to my computer to control my music which plays from my computer through my stereo. I can easily do it with my laptop without having to jump through any internet APPLE BS , but I dont want to have my laptop out on the deck. I just want to use the phone as a remote control.
Remote wont do it because it keeps saying Im not connected to the internet, even though is is connected to my computer. Same problem with JumiAmp.

It should have an option to manage iTunes library without network connection, like Bluetooth or connect directly to the computer without a router or wi-fi, i live outsite of the city and i dont have the ability to control my iTunes librry from the iphone

Number of Chapters in iMovie is not known by me but if You aim to do a DVD then there is a problem.
iDVD has some limitations
• 99 Chapters maximum !
• 60 resp 120 minutes limit (Movie + Menu duration) on SL-DVD and about double on DL-DVDs
I would divide material onto two DVDs then I get 198 Chapters and 120 to 240 minutes on SL-DVDs
Note thar MENU can take up lot's of time - 15 minutes o even more.
I use Old Theme and "Brushed Metal" no Animation and No Audio on Menu - to keep this under one minute.

Yes, but unfortunately not with Time Machine. You could; however, use any PC backup product that supports network drives as a destination for their backups. One such product is Genie9's Genie Backup Manager Home.
Genie9 offers a similar option for Time Machine for PCs, called Genie Timeline Home. It is advertised to support backups to "NAS and network storages," but several folks who have this reported that it wasn't able to backup to a Time Capsule. If you decide to give either Genie9 product a try, please be sure to give their trial versions a go to make it works for your situation.

A Control loads itself as it gets drawn on the screen, for example when you add this Control as a child of another control.

Is there any way to get full control of my photos on my new ipad?

Love the screen on the new ipad but I'm as frustrated as ever with Apple not letting me control my photos on my ipad, making their 'post pc' claims completely false in my opinion.
Firstly, new photos I take on my iphone I can only get onto my ipad albums by photo stream which is a compressed image, so I have to still connect to my pc and do it that way. Is there any way around this?
Secondly, any photos from previous albums on my computer added to my ipad via itunes, are fixed - I can't delete or move photos around. I know if you connect a camera to an ipad it imports the photos and gives you full control of them. Is there any viable workaround to get the ipad to treat all my old photos (in albums by folder) as new photos, ie full control to delete, move around in albums etc without creating duplicates?
New iPad - now frustrating in HD!

I can't promise this works as I haven't tested this however on every iOS Device in the Settings app under General & Restrictions you have the ability to restrict a ton of options.
Here's my two cents which you could try:
On the iOS Device go to settings -> General -> Restrictions
Go to the Music section, the TV Shows section, & Movies Section and select the appropriate rating you want your kids to have access to.
After setting this up try accessing the home sharing and see if the content you want blocked still shows up on their devices.
If the content still shows up then:
On iTunes on your PC or Mac find the content you wish to block (Home Movies, Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc)
Right click on the items you want blocked and change the rating (for example to R or NC-17).
I haven't tried this myself however on paper at least I think it should work. If it does please report back and let everyone know and congrats on the new phones

The contents of the Music app aren't included in a device's backup. If you can't remember your id then do you have any its purchases on your computer's iTunes library ? If you do then selecting one of them and doing 'get-info' (control-I) should show the account id that bought it on the Summary tab. Or you can try this page http://iforgot.apple.com
If you haven't got a copy of your iTunes purchased music anywhere (e.g. on your computer's iTunes or on a backup of your library) then you might be able to redownload it via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad and the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your computer's iTunes.

Is there a way to get iCal to put the time of each event on Monthly view without going in and editing each event?

When I enter a new event on iCal with the time, it leaves the time off of the Monthly view and in order for me to glance at the times of the day's events I have to click on each event or go into the event and edit it again putting the time on, for it to show. Is there a way to put system to sleep after Time Machine runs?

I don't need to run Time Machine every hour, especially since my TM disk is on Firewire and not built in (had a disk fail with TM volume on same disk - bad idea)
When TM runs, it has to spin up the Firewire external disk, so I just run TM by hand now. I'd like to do this when I go to dinner or to sleep etc
Is there a way to have the Mac system sleep after Time Machine finishes running? An AppleScript perhaps?

I have not seen one, and that is exactly how I use TM. Unmount, turn off the drive. Turn on the drive, the backup volume mounts automatically and TM resumes its scheduled backups.
Your Console logs will reveal the times in which TM attempted to back up but could not find the device:

You will also want to be very careful with your layout as I suspect you will want to keep page numbering synchronized. It techincally would be safer to create the teacher's edition first and then remove the extra content.
I do wonder what the value would be in doing this, as students could theoretically purchase whichever edition they want. What content would the students not benefit from?

Hi,
We have around 80 real-time services running and loading the changed data into the target.
The process being used is
IBM Informix > IBM CDC > JMS (xml messages) > DS real-time services > Oracle EDW.
While using the above process, when ever there is change in the fact table and the dimension table, both the real-time services are loading the data at the same time into the target. This is causing issues in looking up data with the timing issue.
Is there a way where we can create a dependency and resolve the timing issue and make sure the lookup table is loaded and then the master table is loaded?

With the design you curently have, you will have potential sequencing issues. There is no magic in Data Services to solve this.
You might want to consider building more complex real-time jobs that accept more complex data structures and have logic to process the data in dependency order.

Is there a way to search several keywords at a time on the top right search box?

Hello.
Let's say I want all the images to appear that have any of these keywords: "sky, mountain, water". The only way I have figured out it takes too long and it's tedious. I open the "find" window and manually add search variables to look for several keywords and file names for the values that I am looking for.
Isn't there a way to search for files that have any of the keywords I write on the search box by dividing these keywords with commas or any other puntuation? Or am I stuck opening the "find" window and add rows of variables that I want to search?

I'm just a user like you and almost all other participants. Steve (SG) is one of the very helpful Adobe Engineers who occasionally hang around every now and then but they do so out of personal interest and kindness. They also try to be a shortcut to the Bridge engineers, it is no company policy to interact directly with developers on this user to user forum...
But if I was responsible for resources for the Bridge development team they already would have had loads of money to realize my perfect Bridge and this process would have started from CS3 and above…. but as said, I'm just a humble photographer with no knowledge at all in programming applications and by far not enough money to realize this dream app
Regarding your Find comments, I do realize there are some extra actions needed and the less you can make the better it would be. However as said, I don't know of any DAM application capable of what you want.
It is kind of looking into a database and that needs separate criteria to my knowledge. If I had to use the search function that much I would look for a dedicated Digital Asset Manager to do this tasks.
I'm not very deep in to knowledge about DAM but I use Canto Cumulus Single user for my Archive which is much faster then Bridge (Bridge is much better in other tasks so I need both).
In Canto you can create a query to customize your own search needs in a better way but this needs some extra knowledge and study, I have only 65 K of files in my archive and searching is not that difficult using the normal route of quick find.
And to comfort you a little, both Bridge and Canto do reopen the find menu with the last settings which is still not ideal but saves a bit of moves. Having the option to save templates like in batch rename would be a big plus but it is not an option yet.
And of course, you can also put in a feature request for this:
