Is there anyway to lock CSS rules? What's happening in design view?

Hi,
I have no idea what I've done, but I've accidentally deleted some CSS rules. Now my design view shows almost a random pattern, yet most things seem to still be working when I view it in a browser.
So,
Is there a way to lock CSS rules so that you don't accidentally loose them? Is there a way to toggle them on and off? Why does my design view suddenly look all whacked out?

You have an id set on one of the divs, but there is no rule for that ID selector:
<div id="sidebar2-1"><img src="_images/sidebar2.jpg" alt="sidebar2" width="180" height="479" /></div>
Change the id to sidebar2 and see what happens. The page should fall back into place correctly.
There is no way to 'lock' in styles, you just need to be careful on editing the style rules as you go
You could always keep a backup copy of a stylesheet that works correctly and if you then want to play around with the rules, do so, but knowing that you have a backup copy if you need it.
I'd also take a look at the naming convention you use for file names. I'd not start a file name or folder with and underscore... some browsers may choke. always better off starting a name with a letter, no characters, or numerals etc.,to be on the safe side.

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). What does "new actualization" mean?
Do you have Restrictions set that world prevent installing those apps? Settings>General>Restrictions

If it is at Rules: Field Level Transformation
In both case, the transformations are activated before the data entering into BW.

I copied a text and then cut something else without saving what I had copied is there anyway I can get back what I had copied

I did a really long text message and copied it and forgot to save it to my notes before I cut something else and I really need the text back as I can't redo it :( is there anyway of undoing the out and getting the copy of the text back?

CSS Styles not displayed properly in design view - SOLVED (not 'Display Styles')

For several weeks, I've been troubleshooting the issue of CSS
and inline styles not being displayed properly when in Dreamweaver
CS3 design view, and checking in to the forums occassionally to see
if there was a solution other than making sure "Display Styles" was
selected under View -> Style Rendering (it was, and still
nothing would display properly!).
After much frustration, I may have found the solution to
those still experiencing the issue even after "Display Styles" is
appropriately checked. I went in to my master template for the
site, and found an erroneous <br> tag after the <link
href> for the stylesheet, which I must have inadvertantly
inserted when I added the code for the site's favicon. (You get so
used to Shift-Enter in layout mode, it's almost automatic,
regardless of what pane your in.) I can't believe I missed this
before! Deleting the erroneous tag cleaned up the whole
site.

I had the same thing happen to me. After hours of trouble
shooting I found a bit of inappropriate code left in the HTML.
Cleaned that up and all is good. Seems like it is often something
so simple. Guess that is why it is so maddening when i can't figure
it out!

CSS and HTML not merging in design view

I hate questions that start with "all the sudden this happened."
I was using Dreamweaver CS5.5 along with some other things I had open. I was off doing something with one of the other things and came back to Dreamweaver. It was in design view not live view. All it shows me the HTML without merging the CSS that goes with it. However, when I hit Live View, it merges the code and displays just fine.
My machines been acting funny lately. Earlier today, Outlook kept shutting down, but that stopped. Some times my cursor moves strangely. Surely, this isn't a virus causing this with Dreamweaver. I run good protection and keep it updated.
I thought maybe IIS was not running, but it is. Without it, it probably would not have merged the CSS in live view. What could I possibly have done to this thing?

Thanks everybody, I did both of your suggestions to no avail. I looked and looked and couldn't find a reason for it. I had a backup of the files from a few days ago and I started replacing individual files to find the problem, but that got old. So I finally just copied in the whole backup and it's fine.
This had to be something creepy we'll never track down - not worth the time.

Is there anyway to lock the numbers down on ipad?

I am trying to find a way to keep the number pad locked down when typing on my ipad 2. I need to do data entry using all numbers and the "next" button.

I don't believe so. I've never seen a Numeric Lock nor equivalent on the iPad's keyboard.
EDIT: I've found the following by Google Search but cannot verify that it does (or doesn't) work since I don't have access to my iPad. Report back with your findings.
EDIT 2: Watching that video, it's totally unrelated to what you're trying to do. I'll put the blame as a bad description on their part.

Background to this:
I am deploying an Apex Reports Application. I have set up two lists.
The first List is a list of all the reports that the company delivers.
The second list is a list of reports that the client delivers.
These lists are on separate pages, which are navigated to via TABS.
I have locked all the pages that I have written.
I want to prevent the client from accessing my list, but allow them access to their list.

I don't think that you can use to limit it to a particular screen of apps, just to be within one particular app.

I have footage that needs to be green screened. One of the cameras zoomed and panned, is there anyway to lock foreground and background so the motion is consistent

I shot two cameras for green screen editing but one of the operators zoomed and panned so the key is good but when the camera zooms it looks like the subjects are floating, any idea how to synchronize the foreground to background

Recently I connected my AE, but the iPad Wi-Fi settings showed it as locked (requiring password). After each time I re-set it, it returns to a locked status. What is happening?

The locked indicator on your iPad means that the network is "secured" and requires a password to gain access. Once your iPad successfully connects it remembers the password for you so that you don't have to enter it again.
If you change the password on your network, You'll have to change it on your iPad as well. In order to do this.
On your iPad:
1. select the system preferences (gears) icon.
2. tap on Wi-Fi and make sure the Wi-Fi switch is ON
3. tap on the blue arrow of the network that you need to change the password for.
4. at the top of the next page. tap on "Forget this Network"
5. tap on the Forget button
6. close the app by pressing the home button on the ipad
7. now go back into system preferences and tap on your network name when it comes back up. It should ask you for the password. Type in the new password and your should reconnect.
Let me know if you have any further problems.

CSS fonts doesn't show in Design view

Previously had DW 8 and had no problems. I installed CS3
yesterdayt and now any page I open only shows the text in Times New
Roman. No other formatting like bold/italic shows. I can apply the
formatting and when I view the file in a browser it shows. Any idea
what could be wrong?

I am designing a site and I have used a table for the banner. Everytime a different page is displayed, the banner image changes. I have created .html pages, and I have created a lot of css rules to change the background image. I think there must be a more efficiant way to do this?

Put a div in the head section? Surely you jest!
But you do hint at the easy solution - just have an embedded stylesheet in the head of each page that changed the background image only on that page. No need for any other complexities.
In other words on page1, change this -

Is the view get locked?
Or all the base tables are locked from which view is created?
