Is there to set one link's color in JEditorPane, when reading HTMl files?

I jsut want to set ONLY ONE link a certain color. How do I do that?

If you are just getting the JEditorPane to read in a HTML file then you would have to specify the HTML on the link you want, i.e. set the attributes on the "a" tag or use a style sheet.
Or course you could dive into the HTMLDocument used by the HTMLEditorKit and set the attributes for the specific "a" tag but then you would have to try and find it in there...good luck!
Or of course you could modify the HTML file prior to loading it into the editor...

How Do I Use the Help Tag/Help Path in LabVIEW to Link to a Specific tag in an HTML File?

Is there any way to point user to a tag in an HTML file when he click "Click here for more help" ?

I believe you are correct in saying that there is no way to link directly to a specific anchor tag within an html file from the context help.
I would encourage you to visit our Product Suggestion Center if this is a feature you would like to recommend that our R&D team consider for future versions of LabVIEW.
Is it possible for you to create a .chm file? Or perhaps you could have some kind of "table of contents" at the top of your .html help file. This would require an extra click by the user but may be an option for you.

It gives you all of the information you need to parse the HTML file using the HTMLEditorKit that is a part of the Java SDK.
Once you get the links from the file, then you can think about connecting to each.

Colors not displaying when viewing PDF files

Recently I've discovered that when viewing PDF files I'm not seeing all of the colors in the charts. This is happening with PDF files that I made as recently as last year (when everything looked fine). It's also happening with files that other people at other organizations have made. If I go to a coworkers computer and pull up the files, I can see everything just fine. Also, when I print the files, everything comes out just fine. Any ideas as to why I'm not seeing things correctly on my machine? I'm using a Dell laptop, Windows 7, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, Microsoft Word 2010. I've also been having problems with graphics disappearing when converting Word files to PDF files but that's a topic I'll post on the Acrobat page. Seems like it may all be related to my new laptop. The problem with ie9 or ie8 gets more complicated, since the alt key works on some files, one example is:

The files where it does not work are placed on sites that require sign in with a digital signature, so it is impossible to give urls to the files.
With screen readers and with pdf files in the browser, the normal way of getting to the
address bar does not work, but that is not really a problem but a minor irritation, and not a new behavior.

Is there a limit on the length of the path when compiling HTML Help?

I"ve been pulling my hair out the last few days because I have a project that has been compiling just fine but when I created a branch in RoboSource and checked it out and tried to compile I get an Unexpected Microsoft HTML Compiler error. I've looked and looked to find what might be different. Today when reading posts, (thank you to everyone who posts problems and solutions here) I ran across something regarding referencing a file that is too deep in the tree. That made me think about the directory names. So, I changed the compile location to a higher place in the tree and it compiled.
Does anyone know if there is a limit on the path to where the .chm file is built and if so, what that limit is?

Hi Nita.
I'm not sure anyone has definitely found a limit although as you have found long paths can be an issue. I'd guess it is 255 characters as this figure pops up elsewhere. As a general rule I try and keep my project paths as short as possible, even abbreviating directory names where possible.

In dps html content, there is a url link to a pdf. When click url to load the pdf, zoom doesn't work

I'm loading a html content into a dps app.
On the html page, there is a url to a pdf file. When I click the url, the page load a pdf file.
Here is the question: Is the pdf able to zoom?
It is tricky because I can zoom the first html page but when I load a pdf file, the zoom effect is not working.
Please let me know if it is a way to make the pdf been able to zoom.

I have Firefox 3.6.2 on my Mac. There are newer ones - 4 & 5. How come when I search for updates, I get the message that there are none?

I installed the latest version of 1Password 3.6.5 but its extension is incompatible with Firefox 3.6.2. It wants Firefox 4 or 5. The 1Password extension does work, however, on my Safari 5.1 browser. I want 1Password on both browsers but Firefox is preventing this due to inability to automatically update to Firefox 4 or 5. That option is checked in the Firefox preferences.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Default Setting for a Radio Group not activated when Read-Only

I have an Item on a page that is a Yes/No radio group. It is conditional read-only and has a conditional default value. Both the read-only section and the default section use PL/SQL blocks to determine there use. When the read-only condition is true the radio group is grayed out but neither the Yes or No button is checked. It then returns a null value when the page is submitted.

Rendering works fine.
But when the page is submitted, the Yes value doesnt get into session state.
This is because the read-only is implemented by setting disabled=disabled on the radio element.
As per relevant standards (http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/forms/input.html), disabled form elements are not submitted during a POST operation.
But if it is a readonly item with a default value, you already know the value (you put it there), so why do you need it in session state, just use the default value (hardcoded)

Color Inconsistency Problem when opening a file designed in InDesign

I am designing images in Indesign CS. I am using lab color. When I export those files as pdfs (in the color settings I check "leave unchanged") and when I open them up in Photoshop CS in lab color, I use the eyedropper tool to see if my colors are the same. The lab color numbers are all shifted slightly from what they originally were in InDesign. I am using color management in both Photoshop and InDesign with the same profile. Shouldn't my colors stay the same? Why are they changing slightly? It is very important that they be exact.

I've done two tests:
1. Open p.3 of this doc in PhS (CS2) in mode Lab:

The doc was programmed in Lab by PostScript. PhS shows
the correctly rounded values (original values under
each swatch). Occasionally tiny errors like this:
50.47-->51 .
2. The same doc p.3 placed in ID, then added a rectangle
with Lab=50/60/70. Exported as PDF (colors unchanged)
and opened in PhS: exactly 50/60/70.
So far everything seems to be correct, but the second
test concerns only one ID Lab swatch.
If you send me an example doc with color swatches and
numbers then I would analyze it (e-mail by clicking
on my name).

I don't have CS, only CS2, if this should matter.

Is there any way to avoid stop/start of tomcat when a java file is modified

we are developing a tool where we use java files for mediation layer and jsp files for presentation layer. so whenever i do a change in any of my java source i need to stop/start the tomcat in order to get the latest change.
is there any way to avoid this kind of stop/start.... i want the changes to get reflected immediately after i compile the file.

i wrote a sample test.jsp and TestJava.java file and i tried callin api getValue() in TestJava.java from test.jsp.then i did some modifications to this api i.e., i changed the return type from String to int . then compiled n also touched the file but the changes didn't get reflected instead i got the followin error.

what class does it sets the line position when you read a specific line of the file?
i used the LineNumberReader.setLinePosition(int) but it does not actually sets the file pointer to the specified line number...

all japanese characters also are read with dummy characters.
like the LineNumberReader.readLine(), it reads exactly the same.
i want the functionality of RandomAccessFile to set the file pointer and can read the characters with no exception on any language.

Is there a way to link state buttons?

Hi, I'd like to know if there's a way to link state buttons to activate their hover state together. For instance, when the link 'Pioneers of Design' is hovered over it turns red and links to another page. The yellow image loses the 25% white opaque screen on it when it's in hover state and also links to the same page. Both are in separate state buttons. Is there a way to link the two so that when I hover over the image the screen disappears but also turns the pioneers link red at the same time and vice versa when hovering over the pioneers link? I know both can be put into a state button together but that means that the massive space in between the image and text would create the hover state as apposed to only occurring when hovering over one or the other. Also, I don't know what would happen to this because the text links stay fixed when scrolling and the image links do not. Is there a way to do what I'm talking about? Thanks.

There's no built-in way to do disjointed rollovers, but if you look it up on the web, you should be able to understand how the respective CSS rules work and implement them as custom HTML or after publishing the site.

When two or more devices conflict it typically means that the DHCP service is either misconfigured or is not running at all. DHCP provides IP addresses to local network clients.
Is your AirPort Express base station the only router in your current network configuration? That is, is it connected directly to an Internet modem and not to another router upstream of it?
