Is This A BUG or One Of Logics New Features
of course i'm ready to mix and on the mixer, none of the faders or pans work. they won't move. then it crashes. the only way i can change levels is from the arrange page. has anyone else experienced this? i can tell you this, every new project has at least 20 crash projects. in the past this hardly ever happened. this is by far the buggiest program i have ever worked on. too bad cause i like the new features.
By chance are you working on an L7 song that you opened in L8?

Is this a bug no one has caught
Has anyone done an install with the 7.9.6.3 apps new or have most been upgrades? I have dealt with a lot of upgrades and rarely any new installs but the issue being seen is happening in 11.1.1.5 and 11.1.1.6 using the 7.9.6.3 apps. When installing the apps, 1 Web Catalog called "EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics" is created with pretty much every subject area. 2 RPD's get created "EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics.rpd (all the apps) and OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd (only the apps selected). Now I would assume that every user, whether native or external has at least authenticated-user which would allow them access to login, just not really see anything. If you use the OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd, then no one can login;native or external unless they have been assigned the BIAdministrator role. Even the BIConsumer or BIAuthor roles fail. If you use the EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics.rpd then any user is able to login without being provisioned to a role...so the question is, am I looking at this wrong or is this a major bug that has not been caught. I would assume if the RPD with everything works, there should be no reason the RPD with just the apps I am using should not. A easy test, if you have the BI Apps installed, use the OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd. Create a native user and assign them nothing. Try and login and it will fail. Now go back and add them to the BIConsumer group. Try and login and again failure. Now if you add the to the BIAdministrator role that will allow them in. If you go back and change the RPD to EnterpriseBusinessAnalytics.rpd and remove user ID from any group and login, no issue.

I had two identical but separate installations, but i am having same issue. when i assign BIAdministrator it works but when i assign BIConsumer or BIAuthor Role it would n;t work. I was doing my RND on it but didnt got any result to solve this issue.
I am also having feeling this is a bug.

This is one for the books over here. Does Logic have its own clock? Not as in clocking, 44.1 48 etc. Not in that respect, but rather does Logic have its own "date and time" clock separate from OS X?
Here's what's happening...
We have two rooms here. Identical. Writing done in "A" gets sent over to "B", cleaned up, sent back over to "A" etc etc. So in the "A" room, a cue comes from "B" with a last opened time of last night at 10:00 pm. A last modified time of 10:15 pm last night. That's the data if you get info on it from a finder window. Now with Logic open if you "open" a cue from Logic, navigate to where this cue is at, it says that the cue was last opened TONIGHT at 9:40pm (which is in the FUTURE) and last modified TONIGHT at 9:55pm (also in the FUTURE). We've caught it now, and things seem to be okay if you open a cue from the finder window and not from Logic->File->Open. A cue was opened from Logic yesterday, two hours of work done, saved often, and when it was closed and then opened again after lunch, none of the work was present. And the date and time modified was again in the future. So SO weird. Cleared prefs, repaired permissions. Still happening. Anyone else experiencing this? Any tips? Advice? Does Logic have its own clock? We're baffled.

So while we're on the subject of the finder lying... Folders are no picnic either.
If you create a folder and never open it but throw a bunch of stuff into it within the same minute that it's created, its creation date and modification date will be the same. But the simple act of opening that folder for the first time can cause its mod date to change. Or, if you go into that folder and re-organize some items, or rename some items, the folder's modification date will also change.
This means that if you have a bunch of folders contained within another folder (the "containing folder"), and you re-organize/re-name items within those folders, you can't count on the modification date of any one of the contained folders to indicate the order in which they were originally created. Because of this behavior you'll want to view by date created. But I still can't get my head around the idea that manipulation of data within a folder causes the attributes of the containing folder to change.
This may have some bearing on your current situation... or then again, maybe not LOL! : - )

I absolutely agree with you. I know that the forum software is not developed by Oracle, still some words of explanation from the OTN guys is definitely in place, especially about the loss of data.

When i editing in the piano roll windows, after 10 at 20 editing steps my logic pro 9 crashed down. Every time. Is this a bug?
Maybe find a local who can translate for you. I don't know what to tell you for dealing in another country for service on your computer.
I can offer you something you can do if you want to give it a try. You'll need a backup of your data in your Home folder because you need to erase the drive. You'll also need a solid, preferably fast, internet connection.
Install or Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Erase the hard drive:
1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless. -
I updated to Adobe Muse 2014 and now the anchors on my site stop working on the page after one click. Vertical scroll and active state on the buttons also do not work. Is this a bug?
I am also dealing with an anchor that stopped working. I tried everything i can think of to make it work, but no luck so far. I hope to see a helpful response here. Thanks.

I am using nio to write a network server.
I use following code to close a SocketChannel:

The Logic of my test case:
Server S listen to port 8080 with one select thread,
Client A, Client B
A connect to S, and send a package to get some resource, and A wait
B connect to S, and send a package to get the same resource, This cause S cause Client A,
A finds it disconnected, it reconnect and do the same as B
B finds it disconnected, it reconnect too ....
now, there is a loop.
(all these are doing in the select thread)
I think A and B will do these forever, but after some time( serveral seconds ), the Error will be thrown and
server crashed.
I google it, and I found nothing useful. NIO isn't that matureWell, it wasn't that mature in 1.4.0 or 1.4.1, but that's five years ago. Haven't found anything major in it for years.

Is this a bug for CTI Toolkit Agent desktop (Version 7.5.10510)

Today I have found a strange thing with CTI Toolkit Agent desktop (Version 7.5.10510). One agent is logged in on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with his Agent ID (5101) to an extension 999111. Then from other PC another agent is also able to login on CTI Toolkit agent desktop with same Agent ID (5101) to the same extension 999111. Tough they are logged in with same agent ID and extension number from different PC but it is not desired that 2 person can login with same Agent ID and extension at a same time.
Can any one tell me that is this a bug or normal procedure.

If this is fixed, I'm seriously considering upgrading mid-project! The film score I'm working on has many doubling parts that I'd like to edit at the same time in the matrix editor. However, editing multiple parts in the matrix editor seems provoke the little bugger, and I've already been bitten a few times in this project already. The only solution I've found is to stay clear of editing multiple parts at once (i.e. edit each parts individually, which obviously takes more time) or save before editing and hope I dont get bit.
I would LOVE to hear a report that this bug has been exterminated, and perhaps may upgrade mid project if thats the case.

I'm not familiar with the bug you're talking about. But would, as a fellow film composer, strongly urge you against the mid project switch.
I loaded in LP8 and ofcourse had a look at what it was all about, and it's really really fantastic. It also seems very stable. I fortunately have a side project that I am working on so switched to LP8 for that. Whilst I'm thankful to get my head around a very new approach for logic, I'm also thankful that I have this side project as it has illuminated a multitude of problems that exist with LP8 that would make any scoring process a bit of a headache to say the least. The main one being that if you don't have a very very powerful mac (I'm prepping a really fully loaded 8 core) you are not going to get anywhere near the performance out of Logic as you do with 7. This is a bottom up overhaul and it needs hardware to match. Heck even my 30" cinema display seems cramped and insubstantial on this new version. I would be so bold to say hold off until you have a hearty new mac and at least 8.2 is released IMHO but maybe try and get on it onto a smaller project to familiarize yourself before hand. -
Open Cursor Issue because of file browse Item - Is this a Bug in APEX 3.2
Hi All,
I am using file browse Item to upload file into the database at two places in my application, but it seems whenever I am submitting those two pages, with file path or without file path, its opening an cursor which remains open after that, because of this open cursor count in the application is getting exceeding every time.
For testing this I have made an dummy page containing just file browse item and submit button, and still it is increasing the open cursor count.
Is this a bug in Apex file browse item or there is some other way to handle this.
Please kindly help me in the above issue as this is affecting the production application.

One observation, Apex is switching the Session ID after one got killed ? I was working on Apex page with browse Item to test open cursor count,
after killing the SID (227) on which the open cursor count was getting increase, it APEX automatically switches to new SID(149) for that session.
Now the problem is even if I have two SID's and one hits the maximum open cursor count, It is not switching to other SID instead the whole application becomes unavailable.

Is this a bug of Outlook 2007 about images displaying in signature?
I've done many tests and researched on website or MS KB. But still got no solution.
My issue is:
I make a signature with images linking from website which can be easily accessed.
I setup this signature in Outlook 2007, when I compose a new mail, and choose the signature I set. It won't show the images with a high percentage rate, meanwhile, I try to get into "Signature"-"Signature...",
Outlook2007 gets stuck, then you can not close Outlook or open Internet Explorer unless you kill the process of OUTLOOK.exe.
1. Test are done under a clean XP system and Office 2007 standard fresh installed. Also there are some other staffs who help me test the signature that report the same issue on Office 2007.
2. Images are rendered in 96dpi. They are all in very small size stored on website, can be easily accessed without network connctivity problem.
3. The signature is made by simple HTML language not by Outlook signature setup wizard. but in this case, you can ignore which method I use to create the signature. The images in signature can be displayed well in Outlook 2003 &
2010. Also I have tried insert images using "link to file" in Outlook signature setup wizard, got same issue.
4. Don't suggest me to store the images locally. These images should be updated after a period. You can not ask the company staffs to update these images manually by themselves. and even if the images are stored locally, the images won't be shown
in Outlook 2007 with a high percentage rate.
5. I've tried setup signature with or without an account profile, got same issue.
6. I 've tried without an accout profile, just copy the signature file to Outlook signature folder, unplug the network cable, and "new mail" then load the signature, of course, the images won't be shown because network connection doesn't exist,
and then when I try to get into "Signature"-"Signature...", the Outlook interface also gets stuck. So I think Outlook 2007 may have some problem on detecting the network connectivity.
7. It is not possible to upgrate the version of Office. Since Office 2007 isn't out of date and is powerful enough for us, no one want to pay more money just to avoid this issue.
I don't know why I cannot upload a screenshot for troubleshooting. If needed. I can send a mail with screenshot attached.
So far to now, I still get no solution, I think this is a bug of Outlook 2007, because the same signature, there is no problem on Outlook 2003 & 2010. Hope someone of MS staff can see this article and report to technical support center.
I would appriciate anyone's kindly help but please consider that you understand what I am talking about. I don't want to waste time for each of us.

Is this a bug in mx:ComboBox ?
Hi All,
I'm using a mx:ComboBox control in my extension project for InDesign CS5/CS55.5/CS6 using Extension Builder 2.1, Flash Builder 4.6 and Extension Builder 3.4 SDK.
Problem:
When I click my ComboBox control(the text part excluding the down arrow part) after switching application to another and then back to InDesign, the list is shown and then closed quickly. Again if I click on ComboBox then the list is displayed properly.
Is this a BUG in mx:ComboBox ?
Please suggest any solutions/workaround to fix the issue.

Is this a bug for 10.3.9 installation
Hi everyone especially mac experts
This is my first visit to this forum. I have been using my Powerbook g4 12 inch for 3 - 4 years, never had any problem til now!!
My mac has problem all the sudden, got hacked or something, I dont know, I cannot even restart, it hung since apple logo appear, only way is insert install disc + press C with only one option it allowed me to do "erase and install" no backup no upgrade!!!!
Anyway, that is not my question, it just a whining, my question is when i tried to reinstall with my installation CD that came with my powerbook and/or panther CD with 3 blacks and 1 codeX, which I got it when I was a member of developer connect. The series of problem are as follow
1. during installation of CD2, i got installation failure with error messages said some packages cannot install!!!
2. after i ignore (1), by click "quit" which is only one option anyway, os started to ask me to fill in all information include setting user name and password for admin account. so i did. Then I start to do "software update", and it failed to update/install QuickTime 7.x.x. Then i tried to download only, unpackage and install myself, it has the same results
3. From (2) i search solution on mac website by using winXP, and found that i have to remove some packages in /Library/../receipts/ and reinsert CD 2 again to reinstall, cool.. i will give it a shot. Unfortunately, it asked for admin password and i could not give a correct password, but i remember and have it written down on a paper. Then i check at Preference->account->admin and see it shows 7 digits or * instead of 9 digits. I wonder that someone might hacked into my computer and change it.
Therefore, I decide to reinstall again, this time, i spent more time by include erase disk with option "write zero to disk" and no network connection to make sure there is no trace from hacker! Unfortunately, I got the same problem from (1) to (3) without update software d/l. therefore, i believe (3)is a bug it is obvious from my observation, if i cannot solve (3) i will not be able to solve (1) and (2), and i will not have my mac back to work
Please give me advice, i already lost all my data and spent my weekend trying to fix these problems, which non can be fixed (yet)

I honestly dont know anything about this "Repair Permissions" from the name, i though it is a verification of authentication to repair OS or some kind of credential issue, and since i m admin user then there is no point to verify it, i should be allowed to do so. Again it is my first time to do this thing in 3 - 4 years of using panther, every time i update software i never ever do this! If this step is essential for every update and installation why dont apple put them as one of TODO step during the processes (as licensing agreement) instead of keep them as an option (just my thought) Anyway, I m glad u tell me about it, and i will give it a shot tonight.

on syncing photos to my iphone from my mac (snow leopard) (iphoto), just 2 or 3 per event retain the edited verisons, the rest are shown in the original version. I'm confused by this. Is this a bug? Is there a way to see all the photos on the mac-edited version on iphn?

I solved my problem,
Definitely a bug in syncing through itunes.
- Connect Iphone with MacBook Pro through USB
- Go to iphone on itunes, photos, deselect photo synchronization.
- Sync (all pics will be removed from iphone)
- Close itunes, iphoto, disconnect iphone
- Select in finder: (home)-pictures-iphoto library.
- Sec click on iphoto library and choose "show package contents"
- Delete iPod Photo Cache
- Close finder
- Empty trash
- Reconnect iphone
- Allow photo synchronization again and everything works smooth.
After this, changes made in iphoto are instantaneously reflected in iphone photos.
Once every hundred photos, one gets detached from iphoto and then changes are no longer reflected (buggy) :-(
In this case I erase the photo in iphoto, sync, go back to iphoto trash, reestablish the photo from the trash and sync again.
Hope this improves. Still have to try cloud though.

Change Directory/Folder of JMS xml messages
Hi I have a requirement to change the directory where JMS queue messages (xml files) are located. Is this a simple configuration change or something more major? Can anyone give me any tips on how to proceed Thanks
