Is this possible in Pages?
Is it possible to have non-printing objects in Pages? Specifically, what I'd like to be able to do is set up a letterhead template so that the master objects do not print when I send the document to the printer (for use with stock letterhead), yet remain when I save the document as a .pdf for emailing.

None of us are happy about this. Well a couple of people might be, who don't quite grasp what is happening.
Download LibreOffice or OpenOffice, both are free, and they probably (but not certainly) can open your AppleWorks files. Then resave them as a .txt or .docx file that Pages 5 can open.
You can drag .txt files onto your Pages 5 icon or open them via Menu > File > Open
If you have an older Mac that can open AppleWorks, open the files there and resave them into something more transferable.
Do you have an older version of Pages? If so it may be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Pages 5 is a major step back and along with other retrograde moves by Apple make Mavericks a poor upgrade.

OK, I can create a blog and then entries through IWeb. But I want a page where my sister, Mom, son, etc. can also post blog entries. Does each of them have to have IWeb to do this? I have created two related Blurb books in Lightroom 5 (Volumes 1 and 2) but my balance of page numbers is off. So I'd like to take some pages out of one book (complete with images) and paste them into the other. Is this possible?
Can you zip up a few of your GoPro images, upload them to dropbox.com and post a share link, here, so others can experiment with them, or do you mean this issue is global to all camera models?

I want to keep the pages above the section break as portrait, and the ones below I want to change into landscape. Is this possible? I can only get it to be one or the other but not both.
The work around is to do two documents, one in portrait format and one in landscape format. When finished export to Pdf. open in Preview by select both files and use Cmd + O or doubleclick. You can now in Previews thumbnail column the pages from one document into the other and then save.
If you have created only one with i.e. all pages in portrait format but with the content for the landscape pages rotated on the pages, you can rotate the pages in Preview. Two ways to get the same result. -
I have been sent a .pages document and would like to extract the photos included in the document as jpegs (need to edit on photoshop and put back in), is this possible? can't figure out how to do it.

Easy steps
Locate the document in the Finder.
Control/Right-Click on its icon.
Select Show Package Contents
All images and embedded objects appear in ‘Data’ folder

You can do this with Adobe Acrobat.
If you are using Export PDF it is a long procedure.
You need to convert your PDF in word or powerpoint.
Then you can edit the document & again can create PDF.

I need to secure a pdf so it cannot be edited, except for the first page. Is this possible?

cWhat do you mean by editing PDF? If you have a PDF form and want to make some form fields, in your case pages other than the first page, non-editable, you can lock the form fields on all pages other than first. You can write a JavaScript that does that, include it in the original PDF form and activate it at some point in time (like when a certain button is clicked, or certain form field gets focus). If you mean other ways of editing, like changing text on a page, you cannot protect only part of the document from that.

Is this possible to display standard JSR-286 data in ADF Task Flow WCP Page

The portlet data can be accessible using bindings, but parameter name can be different.
Meanwhile I have got one more scenario, where the Portlet and Task Flow placed in different pages of WCP Application. On change of data in the Portlet the application should navigate to another page where the Task Flow placed and displays selected data.
Basically I can not use any button for navigation. The navigation should happen once I do some action in Portlet.
Is this possible? If yes can you please let me know the steps?

Is this possible to add one page under 2 tabs conditionally.
Lets say i have created one page "Page 1" under "Tab 1". Now i want the same page to be displayed fom another tab also.i.e. from "Tab 2" from the same application.I want to avoid creating copy of this page.
Such that when i am in Tab 1 and going to this page ,the newly created page should show tab as Tab1.Similarly if i am going to Page 1 from Tab 2 ,the newly created page should show tab as Tab2.
What can i do for this.

For Tab1 and Tab2, set the 'tab page' as 1 under 'current for pages' while you edit the tabs. This would add page 1 under two tabs, tab1 and tab2.

I've played with this before, but I was never happy with the result. I gave it another shot to answer your question, and I'm pretty pleased with this result. I'll say that you have a lot of latitude for adjustments in this template, so don't take it as being restrictive to what I'm illustrating. For instance, you can easily vary the line spacing, the weight of the lines, the color, etc.
In this example, the pitch of the lines is 32 points per line, blue stroke, and I placed a light yellow shape in the background. Here's the approach...
Open a blank Word Processing Template.
View > Show Layout.
Pages Preferences > Rulers > Ruler Units: Points.
Insert > Table.
Set the Table to 1-column, 0 Header Rows, and Footer Rows, Row Height = 32 points.
In the Wrap Inspector, set the table to Floating, and Does NOT cause Wrap.
Align the Top Left of the Table with the top Left of the Text Area.
Increase the Column Width until the single column extends all the way across the Text Area.
Increase the number of Rows until the table just fills the vertical Text Area of the page layout, plus one row..
Set the Outside Cell Borders to None.
Set the Mid Horizontal borders to Blue.
With the entire Table Selected, Arrange > Send Object to Background. Format >Advanced > Move Objects to Section Master, Arrange > Lock
If you want the colored background, Insert > Object > Rectangle. Graphics Inspector > Stroke > None. Color > your choice.
Stretch the Shape to cover the entire page size. Arrange > Send Object to Background. Format > Advanced > Send Objects to Section Master.
If the colored object is obscuring the lines, then: Arrange > Send Backward. In either case, Arrange > Lock.
Paste a good size paragraph (several lines) into the document.
Select the text. In the Text Inspector, set line spacing to Exactly and 32 Points.
Inspect the alignment of the Text and the Lines. If you are not pleased, Select the Table and bump it up or down with the vertical Arrow keys.
If you are satisfied, with the overall effect, Select all the Text and Type: Click here and enter text. Select the text "Click here and enter text." and Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text. Lastly, File > Save as Template.
As I mentioned at the outset, you can easily modify these instructions to increase or decrease the number of lines per page, the type size, etc.

Set your view to "Print View" and you will see the individual pages. More pages will be added as you drag content away from the existing pages.
Arrange your content as you would like to see it printed. That's it. What you see is what will print.

If you want to have Pages, Numbers and Keynote on the iPad then you will need to buy the app versions from the iTunes app store - the Mac version (OS X) is not compatible with the iPad (iOS), they are different operating systems.

If you simply would have posted here first, there are plenty of people who would have informed you of the current policy to have a data plan active on an account during the entire contract if purchasing a discounted smartphone.
Unfortunately, there are just as many on here who would claim the people informing you about this policy of being Verizon plants spreading disinformation and trying to make people afraid to upgrade via this route.
Yes this is a new policy, one which has been pointed out multiple times in these forums. Good luck, but I doubt you will have an outcome over this which will make you happy.
Verizon is closing as many loopholes to keep unlimited data as they can. -

We have an issue with our OWA page. We are currently publishing OWA via UAG.
We recently upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP3 and then SP3 Rollup7. Since the upgrade, we are keep getting the following error after entering our credentials on the login page. I've tried with every possible browser.
You do not have permissions to view this folder or page
Strangely enough, the mobile phones are sending and receiving emails just fine, the phones use the same OWA link, so it's not an authentication issue, the phones login into the UAG servers with no issues. I can see this on the Active Sessions screen
on Web Monitor.
I've attempted to connect to the OWA by bypassing the UAG server, so putting in the local OWA address of one of my Exchange servers, it works... so the OWA page is up and running.
No error logs get generated on Web Monitor when we receive the permission error, I think this is because it's past authentication, it's on the Exchange layer.
Any insight would be helpful? I'm assuming something changed on the Exchange side after the upgrade.
Just in case, I've upgraded the UAG and TMG servers to the latest SP and Rollup packets.
UAG > SP4
TMG > SP2 Rollup 5I've found a solution; UAG requires Basic Authentication over OWA. For some reason Integrated Windows Authentication got turned on after the SP3 upgrade.

Turning Integrated Windows Authentication off via the Client Access OWA settings resolved the issue. Though beware, you
have do this on all your Client Access servers.
