Is Z3 Compact compatible with MicroSDHC

Is the Z3 compact compatible with a MicroSDHC memory card?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

SD cards 4-32gb are labeled SDHC ("High Capacity"), so yes - the Xperia Z3 is compatible with these cards.

You might find that posing this question in the iPhoto column is more suitable.   Not to say people here don't know about cameras but those who live with them tend to reside there.  If you're lucky, you might get Terence Devlin or Old Toad.

  • What are some of the best & compact fax/printers compatible with mac

What are some of the best & compact fax/printers compatible with Mac?

Most any All In One printer/fax/copy will work with a Mac running OS X.
The best thing you can do is pick one out based on cost and features then check whether there are drivers for it or if it is AirPrint compatible.

  • Are 8gb microSDHC cards compatible with the E90?

I recently puchased a E90 and I would like to know if it is possible to use a 8gb MicroSDHC card.
    Thanks

SD and SDHC are two totally different technologies packaged inside the same kind of format. SDHC card readers are backwards compatible with SD cards, but SDHC cards cannot be read in a regular SD card reader.
One of the limitations of SD which led to the development of SDHC in the first place is the maximum capacity of 2GB. Therefore, if the specs of a phone say that it can read 4GB cards then it's fitted with an SDHC card reader and 4GB+ cards will be usable.
If the specs of a phone say that it can only accept cards of up to 2GB then it is fitted with a regular SD card reader and SDHC cards will not work. No amount of software upgrading will help because the hardware simply isn't there to handle SDHC cards.
Those SDHC-compatible phones that "max out" at 4GB might benefit from a firmware upgrade because this limitation is indeed software-related.
The reason why those 8GB SanDisk cards (I have one in my N95) come with a card reader is because that card reader is in fact an SDHC card reader. Most USB card readers available off the shelf for a few quid are not SDHC-compatible, so you won't be able to put your 8GB microSDHC card in an SD adapter, stuff that in one of those SD card readers and access it that way.

  • Some apps not compatible with this unit

I have some trouble with a couple of apps that aparently is not compatible with my z3 compact.
But i have no trouble installing them on my android tablet(asus)
Is it a regional setting on the phone i can change?

    Hi Silverpioneer,
    Welcome to the community,
In this case you would be best to speak with the developer of said apps, as it is they who get to dictate what device can be used with there apps. This sounds like they have not tested with the device so have not supplied compatibility for it.

  • IPad update to 4.2 makes iPad no longer compatible with some devices

Very frustrated after purchasing an iPad and a camera connection kit that no longer is compatible with my camera after the update. Is Apple going to have a new update to fix the glitch? Or Am I stuck with having to load my pictures in my computer then to my iPad or purchasing a new camera that will be compatible with the new update? I cannot find a compatibility list does one exist? Please Apple fix the problem or at least tell me I am out of luck

The amount of power that is supplied to the camera connection kit has been reduced in 4.2, which has affected people trying to use compact flash card readers with the kit - are you trying to use a CF reader (powered readers should be ok) or are you trying to connect directly to the camera ? As far as I am aware there is no definitive list of cameras, but those that support Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) or Mass Storage Device protocal should work.

  • "Compatible with windows applications"

Yesterday I got an email AppleStore eNews which said
You already have a perfectly healthy PC, not to mention lots of important Microsoft Office files. But you also know all about Apple's innovative design and ease-of-use features. And perhaps you've heard of all the incredible things you can do with photos, movies and music by using Apple's iLife '05 creativity suite. So what do you do? Check out the compact, affordable Mac mini. It's compatible with Windows applications and even works with your existing monitor, USB keyboard and mouse. Best of all, it comes preinstalled with iLife '05 and Mac OS X v10.4 'Tiger', the world's most advanced operating system.
    What do they mean by
    It's compatible with Windows applications
If anyone can cast some light on this I'd be grateful.
    Stuart

    John,
I have 1GB of RAM on my Mac MIni 1.4Ghz. I don't have any problems whatsoever running VPC with Windows XP Pro.
As for needing 2GB of RAM, your salesman is misleading you. In VPC you cannot allocate any more than 512MB of RAM for running Windows.
I've used this version of VPC on my brother's Mac G5 Dual 2.0Ghz with 1GB RAM. On both his G5 and my Mac Mini you cannot allocate more than 512MB RAM to VPC.
Also, on both machines, VPC runs as a 686 processor running at 663Mhz. I had previously believed that the speed at which VPC ran was determined by the processor and allocated memory of the host Macintosh. This is completely false. Even so, compared to the legacy AMD Athlon-powered Windows laptop that I had previously been using, VPC on the Mac Mini offers surprisingly similar performance.
Moreover, in my experience of using VPC on both my brother's G5 and my Mac Mini, somehow, my perception is that VPC is more 'fluid' in operation on my Mac Mini. Therefore, I don't think you will have any issues in running VPC on your intended PowerBook purchase.
One last point, Virtual PC is much better in its performance than when I ran SoftWindows on my previous Macintosh 8200.

  • Does anyone know if the Sony hx50V camera is compatible with iMovie?

Since I've had my iMac it has been hard finding a digital camera that has what I want and is compatible with my iMac.  I take lots of pictures and videos, especially at concerts and I have been through quite a few cameras and have not been satisfied with the results.  I have bought Panasonic brands and Canon because they were compatible with iMovie, but the pics and videos have been very disappointing.  For me it seems Sony cameras are the best but from past experience, some don't work with iMovie.  There is a new one that I would love to purchase, the Cybershot HX-50V.  It has great reviews and everything I am looking for in a camera.  But it doesn't specify if it will open the videos in iMovie.  If anyone has this camera, please let me know what you think of it and if it is compatible.  Or maybe some other suggestions.  I'm looking for a camera that is small and compact that has high zoom and good in low light.  Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it!

The Cybershot HX50V uses SD or SDHC cards as well as Sony's proprietary cards, the MS duo. If using SD, you can remove the card from the camera and put it in the SD card slot in your iMac.
The card will appear as a drive on your desktop (assuming you have Finder preferences set to show external disks on desktop).  You should then be able to import the files directly into iMovie.
    Here is some further info:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ph2153
Before filming something important, experiment with file type settings to ensure your camera is recording in a format that iMovie will recognise.
A general point about filming concerts (aside from the obvious ones about getting permission and ensuring copyright is not breached) - getting decent images (still or video) is difficult even with a really good camera. Lighting tends to be low so you end up having to use slow shutter speeds which means camera shake is a big problem - a good tripod (and a solid place to stand it) is essential.  Getting close enough to film is also a problem.  I have used a Canon SLR with top quality lenses (L series) wide angle and telephoto and with apertures up to f2 and still struggled to get images I am happy with. My photos tend to be of Brass Bands and these are comparatively well lit (when compared with rock concerts and the like).

  • Which HD camcorder is compatible with HD 6?

I am looking to get an HD camcorder to get better color saturation and resolution. I am looking at a compact consumer friendly model: Like Panasonic HDC-DX1, Sony HDR-UX7, and Cannon HV20.
I have read that there are issues with compatilibily of AVCHD format and iMovie. I am willing to upgrade to Final Cut Express if necessary. Having said this, which of these models are compatible with iMovie and/or Final Cut Express?
    Thanks for your help.
    iMac 17   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

    AVCHD isn't supported on Macs.
any miniDV, firewire connected camcorder is compatible with iM/FCE.
