ISA Reference business partner is changing!!

Hello everyone,
we have a strange and confusing problem:
we have a refence business partner for our internet sales application. Somehow, some fields like zip code, region, and tax jurusdiction code are getting changed. This is being dome by our CIC reps (according to the BP change history) without theri knowledge.
This results in many stopped orders which go into manual credit review.
Does anyone know how this is happening? and to prevent it?

Hi Surya,
Create and assign authorizations to the BP, so that only authorized users can change the BP. Talk to your BASIS team and they will advice accordingly

    If you are using version 5.0 try this,
    Start Transaction SE37. Create function module CRM_BUPA_CONSUMER_ADD_SA in function group CRM_BUPA_CONSUMER with short text "Transfers changes ( added sales area) to all consumers". Define the following import parameters:
    Parameter Name: IV_MAX_BLOCK_SIZE
    Type specification: TYPE
    Associated Type: I
    Default value: 100
    Optional: X
    Define the following table parameters:
    Parameter Name: IT_SALES_AREA
    Type specification: LIKE
    Associated type: BAPIBUS1006_SALES_AREA
    Parameter Name: ET_RETURN
    Type specification: LIKE
    Associated type: BAPIRET2
    Optional: X
    Save the changes.
    Create function module CRM_BUPA_CONSUMER_CHANGE_SA in function group CRM_BUPA_CONSUMER with short text "Transfers changes of a sales area to all consumers". Define the same parameters as for the above function module.
    save changes.
    Create report CRM_BUPA_REF_BP_ADAPT_CHANGES in package CRM_BUPA with Transaction SE38.
    Title: "Distribution of changes to reference business partner"
    Type: 1
    Status: P
    Package: CRM_BUPA
    Save the changes.
    Use Transaction SE38 to open report CRM_BUPA_REF_BP_ADAPT_CHANGES and maintain the following text symbols (menu: Goto -> Text elements -> Text symbols):
    For CRM Release 5.0, define additionally:
    010 Sales organization 20   50
    011 Distribution channel 12   50
    012 Line of business 6    50
    On the "Selection texts" tab page (menu path "Goto -> Text elements -> Selection texts"), maintain the following texts for the variables already defined:
    Name: GV_P1
    Text: New sales area
    Name: GV_P2
    Text: Changes to sales area
    Save and activate all changes.
    check the OSS notes 1014356 if the problem still persists.

  • Need Enhancement spot in Business Partner Creation/Change

    Hi all ,
    In Business partner creation/Change screen(Tcode BP),if pressing BACK or CANCEL button without saving data, it will ask for confirmation that Want to save data or not.If we press YES it will save the data,or if we press  NO it won't. Is there any Enhancement spot (User exit or BADi) available after triggering the above confirmation message.If so kindly intimate me the Exit name or BADi name.

    To avoid confusion write your code after IF condition checking for

    Reference business partner data is not getting defaulted,when i am creating new customers.
    Reference BP is configured and also maintained in ppoma_crm>attributes.

    Hi Kind,
    You have anserwed the first part of question correctly.
    In scenarios like internet sales B2C and CIC, we get to use the reference BP concept.
    Here it goes:
    1. Anonymous consumer logon to B2C webshop and does the self-registration
    2. A new CRM BP of type consumer will get created in CRM and in herits the sales area data from reference customer.
    3. This CRM consumer will get uploaded into R/3 and the sales area for this consumer will get re-determined in R/3 from R/3 reference consumer (you also need to maintain a reference BP in R/3)
    4. This consumer creates and saves an internet order in webshop and this order will get uploaded into R/3 via CRM.
    I have worked on these scenarios many times and let me know if you need more information.

    We got a  very unusual problem, Some body has deleted the refernce business partner in the crm system, and we unable to assign a new business partner.
    The business partner is still existing in the sap ECC system.

    In R/3 go to transaction VD07 check whether the reference BP is configured. if yes then go to transaction CRMC_BUPA_CONSUM in CRM system fill the reference BP number and Press Enter button. then the maintained sales organisations will be displayed. save and close.
    if the reference BP is already saved in CRM if you want to delete that go to se11 table CRMC_BUPA_CONSUM delete the BP in debug mode. repeat the above CRM transaction to save reference BP again.
    Still if you are not able to get sales area data while creating business partner you can run program 'HRBCI_ATTRIBUTES_BUFFER_UPDATE' which will restucture the buffers.

  • Change Business Partner in CRM to trigger OutBound IDOC in R/3 system

    Hi Team,
    I am stuck on a requirement, We have a scenario were the Business Partner is created in CRM system
    which creates a BDOC and is passed to R/3 system through an Inbound IDOC which  triggers the Outbound IDOC to PI system. So far good.
    The scenario we are getting stuck is when a Business partner is changed in CRM an IDOC triggered in R/3 system but this being a change the Change pointers are not called hence the IDOC which is supposed to be triggered for the PI system is not getting triggered.
    Can you please tell me what steps should I take to trigger this Outbound IDOC from R/3 system?
    I did some anlyasis and found a table which COM_BUPA_CALL_FU which contains a set of function module which is triggered in the sequence. Is this the solution or if you have any different do let me know.

    Hi,
    Did you add the entry for your new custom 'Z' long text inPITX Tcode in R3 side. Every long texts in CRM should be linked to R3 long text here. If there is no entry please add one and try changing the text in CRM.

  • Supress Business partner Distribution based on condition

    Hi all,
          I want to suppress Business partner distribution on certain condition. I am using Simple Bulk type publication for BUPA_MAIN.
    For example there are two systems one is “A” and another is “B”.
    When “A” send Business partner data to “B” it should not send it again to A.
    But When Business partner gets changed in “B” it should send it back to “A”.
    Does anybody know how to implement the scenario?

    What do you meant by  "B should not send it again to A"
    "but when BP gets changed in B, it should send to A" ?
    That statement seems SAP standard behavior to me, doesn't
    it?

  • Business Partner - Number Ranges and Groupings

    A few weeks ago, we are activated RMCA components and activated Telecommunications 6.0 in a sand box client.
    Now we are doing customizing and application of BP.
    We want, and we could, to range BP in number range from 1 to 9999999999, as the costumers appear in our CRM system. But the problem is that we cannot do the same with AR/SD costumers because we already have old AR/SD costumers, not the same person, in the same range and we don't have not used range.
    I know that we can to convert AR/SD costumers groups, but that problem is that we need to convert costumers number.
    How we can open in the same number, the BP and AR/SD costumer? Can we reorganize the old SD costumers?
    We sure that we are not the first company that implement RMCA in the middle of life cycle that already have AR/SD costumers.

    RM-CA:  Number ranges and groupings
    Choose the following in the Customizing: Cross-Application Components ® SAP Business Partner ® Business Partner ® Basic Settings ® Number Ranges and Groupings.
    Define the corresponding number ranges externally in RM-CA and ensure that this RM-CA number range includes both the internal and external CRM number range.
    You can choose any name for the group, but it must be the same as the name in CRM.
    SD Customer Mapping
    Choose the following in Customizing: Financial Accounting ® Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ® Customer Accounts ® Master Data ®Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data ® Create Number Ranges for Customer Accounts.
    If you also want to create an SD customer during business partner replication, you must create a separate number range for this customer. Assign this number range to the corresponding account group. Choose the following in Customizing: Financial Accounting ® Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ® Customer Accounts ®Master Data ® Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data ® Assign Number Ranges to Customer Account Groups.
    ·SD Customer Mapping
    Choose the following in Customizing: Financial Accounting ® Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ® Customer Accounts ® Master Data ® Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data ®Define Account Groups with Screen Layout (Customers).
    You must reconcile the account group settings for the business partner with the corresponding field groups for the business partner in CRM. If for example a field in RM-CA is not defined as a mandatory field in CRM, replication will fail if an entry has not been made in this field in CRM.
    Use the PIDE transaction to control which CRM business partner classification is mapped to a specific account group in RM-CA.
    Define the reverse situation here using the corresponding number range grouping.
    ·        Create and assign an SD sample customer
    To generate an SD customer in RM-CA during the business partner replication, you require a reference business partner. This is used as a template during creation.
    Choose the following in the system: Logistics ® Sales and Distribution ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Customer ® Create ® Sales and Distribution  (Transaction VD01).
    Create the sample customer using the account group described in the preceding step. The system name for the sample customer must start with the letters u201CMUSTu201D (such as MUSTER_TELCO).
    You must also create the sales area data for the customer. Note that you must maintain each sales area used accordingly.
    ·        Assign SD sample customer
    Assign the sample customer in the TCRMBP_REFCUST table (transaction SM30) and define the corresponding determination. If you only want the system to determine a specific sample customer, you can leave the Business partner category, Group and Partner type fields blank.

  • Error in Manage BP: Business partner Invalid

    Hi friends,
    We are working with SRM5.0, SP08.
    I have cretated a vendor business partner through supplier registration route and also have maintained an employee for the same.
    Later, when I try to make any changes in personal data of this employee (through manage business partner) in change mode, system gives me error "Business partner XXX is invalid".
    I would appreciate, if anybody can guide me to resolve this problem.

    Hi Prashant,
    The mistake in the entire process is as follows.
    You have created employee BP 343 but while creating the same you have not made the checkbox "Employee is the Contact Person" active and saved it.
    This results into non - linkage of your BP 342 with Employee BP 343.
    Now as per the screen shot what you are trying to achive is that you are opening 343 in edit mode with BP 342 and trying to make checkbox "Employee is the Contact Person" active , for which the system gives an error. ( We have simulated the case over here).
    This could be reported to OSS as BUG, because system is not allowing you to change BP 343 in conjunction with 342.
    If you do not follow the steps mentioned earlier than probably system does not create this BP 343 with BP role BUP001, and hence the error.
    To prove this point, you can create another Employee BP, but while doing so, make the check box active in the first instance.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am looking for standard Master Idoc create SMD function module for business partner in SRM.
    I need to send an Idoc from SRM to ECC based on change pointers i.e. whenever a business partner is changed in SRM. So there are standard function modules *smd* available for other data but i am not able to find any FM for busienss partner.
    Please suggest if anyone has came accross such scenario.

    One more alternative would be to increase the time out parameter in ABAP environment.
    The steps to change this parameter:                                                                               
    1) txn: RZ11 -> enter the variable name rdisp/max_wprun_time                      
    2) Display -> Change value -> Then input the value you would like        (ideally 3600)                                                                               
    PS:                                                                          
    1) Don't set this value too big, otherwise general performance will be       
    influenced, since lots of dialogue process will be occupied for a long       
    time                                                                         
    2) This parameter can be changed dynamically                                                                               
    Once the parameter is set please test again. You can try incremental         
    values and test which one does not give timeout error.

    I check the option "CONTRACT MANAGMENT" and there is an option to change the premise with the button "Move To Other Premise" but I don't find an option to change the Business Partner from a created contract.

  • Error while changing the PO BOX value for a Business partner

    Hi Friends,
    We are getting an error when we try to change the PO Box value for a Business Partner.
    We have the dependency like when we give the value for the PO Box we also need to give the postal code value. And also we have a specific format for the Postal code. We gave both the values (a valid postal code) and try to save the details, then error message "The attribute GUID of Organization (a Contact Person is assigned to) of the Business Object contact person is not valid" is displayed. We have no clue why there is a conflict for the contact person details.
    Can any one suggest the reason for this?

    Hi Swarna,
    You are getting this message not because you have entered wrong Post code .It will come even if you try to change some other field and save it. This is because on saving a business object, the framework tries to validate all the associated objects depending on the relation.In this case the data in the mobile client is either not present or is no longer valid.
    Check if the field of the Business object which is being shown as invalid, has some data in the table. Check the combo associated to it and from where the combo is doing the validation. The table from where the combo is doing the validation does not have that data and so the value is invalid.
    Also compare the number of entries in smokna1sht table in ides and in CDB.
