ISDN BRI Call Blocked

Good Day
We have a IDN BRI connection to ISP.
We are seeing this error log in the router. Any body have seen this error log before?

Actually I did.
When I upgraded the IOS on the router I mistakenly used the AdvanceIP services as we used that on all 871 routers. The 876 should, however have been upgraded with the Enterprise version.
The fault message was due to a license issue.
Took long time to figure this out and find something about it.

  • Problem connecting isdn bri voice interface to pstn

i'm trying to configure my ISDN BRI NT/TE voice interface card (VIC-2BRI-NT/TE) on router 3825 to link to my PSTN provider. This must allow my Cisco IP phones to pass call to the PSTN through my call manager 4.1.
I suscribe to two isdn line. The provider told me that the SWITCH TYPE is VN6 (COTE d'IVOIRE or Ivory Coast).
For my bri configuration, see file "interfaces configuration..."
My problem is that when i pass call from my Ip telephony network, the first call goes well. But after this first call, when i type the command isdn status, i can see that the layer 1 of my isdn interfaces are DEACTIVATED, and after a few minutes, it turn back to ACTIVE. During these minuite, i can't pass any call through my isdn interface.
for outputs of show isdn status command, and isdn debug q931 commands
see file "show isdn status and debug..."
Notice: when the status of the isdn layer is in the deactvated status, i can receive call from the pstn, but i can't passe call to pstn (the state changes to ACTIVE when incomming call from pstn arrive, but still stay DEACTIVATED when outgoing call is initiated)
    Please help me

I've entered the "isdn transition-delay 1" interface command and things seem to work well.According to the IOS help on my router, this command clears the ISDN D-CHANNEL after a delay of 1 second.
But i would like to get more information on this command, and also on the isdn layer 2 and 3 timers, and even possible on all the "isdn" interface command option.
    THANKS

  • ISDN BRI INTERFACE

Isdn bri interface is used as backup by serial interface
    backup delay 10 60
under bri interface following command is also configured
    dialer idle-timeout 900
what will be idle timeout of bri interface if serial interface comes back and functional.

    Hello Jabbar,
this looks like a cisco BCRAN question, here it goes:
the backup delay 10 60 , means that it will take 10 seconds before the secondary link comes up, after the primary goes down, and it will take 60 seconds after the primary goes back up, before the secondary goes down.
    dialer idle-timeout 900:
this command indicates how long the call can stay idle before it is disconnected.
    from cisco:
"This command is used on lines for which there is no contention. When contention occurs, the dialer fast-idle command is activated. For example, when a busy line is requested to send another packet to a different destination than it is currently connected to, line contention occurs and the dialer fast-idle command is activated.
By default, this command applies to inbound and outbound calls. For example, if a receiving system needs to make outgoing calls, you might configure it with a short idle timeout.
Only packets that match the dialer group reset the idle timer."
So, I guess it would be 900s
    HTH,
please rate this post if it does,

  • ISDN BRI layer 1 & layer 2 do not sustain "active" statuses

    Hi Expert,
I have some routers which can not sustain the ISDN layer 1 & layer 2 statuses correctly. Whenever, the ISDN line is manually activated or the ISDN BRI ports are manually reset, the layer 1 & layer 2 statuses become active but they become deactivated after a while. I have changed the ISDN module and the same symptom is observed. Would you advise what is the cause and resolution. Your advice in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I have another router with the same configuration and the statuses are able to sustain correctly. Thus, I doubt that the backup interface command has any effect on the layer 1 & layer 2 statuses.

  • ISDN BRI for Backup and remote Support

    Hello,
is it possible to configure an ISDN BRI
to use them for Backup and if no Backup is up (primary connection works)i can use
the ISDN BRI for Dialin (Remote Administration)?
My Backup Solution works fine but i do not know, how i have to configure the ISDN BRI so, that acceppt my ISDN Call for Remote Administration.
    Thanks in advance
    Lorenz

    Hi
You can configure 2 dialer interfaces one for dial in and another one for the dial out purpose.
make the 2nd dialer interface as a backup interface for your primary interface and define the floating routes accordingly..
would suggest to go thru the following link which has the whole lot of possible config scenarios discussed and it may help u out in getting the things place ..

  • Connecting to an ISDN BRI on a router from a PSTN line from remote site..!!

    Friends,
I have a 1812 at HO with WIC1 BS/T Card, connected it to an ISDN BRI line. One of my critical remote location uses Leased circuit to reach my HO Router. But in case if LL goes down, some of the important PC's at the remote site should be able to dial to HO Router BRI Number using PSTN line, get connected and continue, ip address assigned from HO Router and access the application... Is any way available...

    Hi Arnab.
You need to configure dial backup through AUX port. You need to connect a normal PSTN line to a modem which in turn is connected to your AUX port. You will have to configure a chat script which you can find in the attachmnet. The attachment is a working example in one of my routers.
You also have to create an ASYNC interface. Check that in the attached file also

  • I am looking for a good Call Blocking App for my iPhone 5...any suggestions??

I am in need of a good call blocking app for iPhone....please any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

As Randy Landry1 says, Google for "silent ringtone", download and install on you iPhone as a ringtone.
Now create a contact for the offending phone number. Assign the contact to the silent ringtone and set no vibrate.
When that number calls it will not ring, nor vibrate. It will light up the screen, but if you do not see that, it will not bother you. They could leave voice mail, but that is easily deleted.
And if it is a situation where the are violating the do not call list, you can use the missed call log to report the number to the FTC.
Also, if the calls are abusive or threading, and the leave a voice mail, you something to show the police.

  • Why is Call Block not available?????

I've started getting these harrasing political phone calls from the same number. In the past,
I remember that I could use Call Block (*60) to block them. I now see that the feature  is
"no longer available to new customers". So how do I keep these cretins from ringing my phone????
I subscribe to Freedom Essentials, so I have Caler ID, Forwarding, and Voice mail. I never noticed
that they don't mention Call Block now.

There's always the Do Not Call List but unfortunately politicians are exempt.  Like how they write the laws to suit their needs????
You could check with your states public utilities commission or verizon to see why it is no longer being offered.

  • Call Blocking does not. Is this just a scam too?

Verizon call blocking is a useless 'service', dozens of calls come through with no phone number at all on the caller ID, something Verizon specifically states it will NOT DO.  Any ideas?
Verizon call blocking does not address scammers and money-seekers who have caller ID of "Not-Available' -- honestly my dog could figure out how to block these but Verizon cannot. Besides paying more money to someone else, is there any hope for the people who expected the Verizon service would work?

Scam no.  A service that needs to be update to the 21th Century, yes.  Still based on early callerid tecnhnology which is easily bypassed by all those so called "telemarketers" .   You should have now trouble with ligitimate callers, but lots of illegal calls come in.

  • Using *77 to set 'anonymous' or 'unknown' call blocking is not working

Per instructions from Verizon, I used *77 to turn on anonymous call blocking last night. I dialed *77, and got a voice telling me that I have enabled anonymous call blocking.
However, it's NOT working. When I call home from my office, it shows up in caller ID as "unavailable"; shouldn't a call that is identified as 'unavailable' be blocked with this service?  Does anyone understand why this would be the case? Are all 'unavailable calls' the same?

Unavavailable/unknown calls and anonymous/private calls are two different things. Anonymous calls are calls from someone who has chosen to block their telephone number from being displayed on your caller ID screen. This means the caller has dialed *67 before dialing your phone number (or they have what is called line blocking where all their outgoing caller id info is automatically blocked without them having to dial *67 before every call).  *77 is used to block anonymous/private calls and force the caller to allow their caller id info to come through to your phone in order for the call to complete.
Unavailable/unknown calls are calls in which no caller id information has been sent. These are generally from collection agencies or telemarketers.  *77 will not block these calls in any way. The only services which will block or screen these calls are Call Intercept or Do Not Disturb.

  • HT204266 where can i get a call blocker app from?

    Hi
I have been looking for an app which blocks calls . there are a few in the market but these are like really crap and they dont work. i dont want to have to resort to changing my number. my service provider is not able to block a number, the only way to do that is by going to the police. which i dont want to do , or change my number which i dnt want to do either.
please help! in desperate need of a good working call blocker!
    thanks

I believe you are looking for a Mini-DVI adapter to a video or audio input.
    Good luck

  • I've blocked a contact with ios7 using call blocking feature but it still manage to call through ... anyone has this similar problem?

yeah, i've set a number to be blocked using the ios7's call block feature 2 days ago. today, the phone rang and displayed the number which i've blocked ... anyone encountered this problem?

Same thing just happened to me.  I've created a "Spam Call" contact and have been adding numbers to it as they come in.  Today is the first time that the phone rang that was named Spam Call.  Very disappointing.

  • Call Blocking -- Why can't we do it?

The simple question is, "Why can't we have an app or option to block unwanted calls, without jailbreaking the device?"
Some of you are going to say, "You can through your carrier." This is only partially true.
Verizon allows you to block 5 (just 5) calls via their website. But why have to go to their website to do this? What if you have a company-paid line and don't have login access to their site? Why do you have to renew your blocked numbers every 90 days?
My Blackberry Storm had an app that simply intercepted the call and dropped it or directed it to VM, if I had put the number on my block list. Blocking the contact was a simple as selecting the number from the incoming call list and choosing, "Block this contact" from the menu.
This seems to be related to the lack of flexibility in how calls are received by each contact. There are no separate controls for volume and vibrate that can be set per contact. If there were you could turn off vibrate and silence the ringtone for contacts you didn't want to be disturbed by, at the very least.
Had I known this simple functionality was not available I would not have bought this phone.

    Thanks for the replies.
roaminggnome: I know it's not a feature. I am lamenting that very fact. And, yes, it was a great feature of the Blackberry (and others). Why does Apple not allow it? There has to be some business reason because it should be easy enough to accomplish if apps could intercept a call before it alerted you.
I also know that true call blocking is a carrier-level function. Wouldn't it be great if you could block the number on your iPhone and the option was saved on Verizon's server? Why not? Aren't smart phones supposed to be smart? I can easily block calls on my home phone through AT&T's U-Verse service.
Instead you have to jump through hoops to create a silent ringtone (or buy one). You have limited SMS tones to choose from and people talk about jailbreaking their phone just to add more. This was all easy and free on the Blackberry.
The Google Voice idea would be great if my true cell number weren't already out there. I really don't want to have to change numbers and have to redistribute it to all who should have it.
I really thought the iPhone would be like the Mac, with lots of cool options and functionality. I've had Macs since 1984. I may have been mistaken.
