Eric

Hi Eric,
Including the other suggestions, rename the file '/oracle/DEV/102_64/jdk/bin/java' to '/oracle/DEV/102_64/jdk/bin/java.1' then restart the installation.
Best regards,
Orkun Gedik

  • Item Conversion Template Issue for Oracle Migration - Copy functionality

    Hi,
I am working on Migration project which is from Radius ERP to Oracle 11.5.10.2.
Currently working on Item Conversion. This Item conversion having the fileds like (ORGANIZATION_ID,SEGMENT1,DESCRIPTION,ITEM_TYPE,COST_OF_SALES_ACCOUNT,SALES_ACCOUNT,ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY,ATTRIBUTE1,ATTRIBUTE2,ATTRIBUTE3,ATTRIBUTE4,ATTRIBUTE5,ATTRIBUTE6,ATTRIBUTE7,ATTRIBUTE8,ATTRIBUTE9,ATTRIBUTE10,ATTRIBUTE11,ATTRIBUTE12,ATTRIBUTE13,ATTRIBUTE14,ATTRIBUTE15,GLOBAL_ATTRIBUTE10,REF_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID,REF_ORGANIZATION_ID).
I have validated those fields and loaded into interfacing to Oracle Successfully in the master Org and Validated through Frontend.
when I close the form, I will be receiving the below warning message and telling that Template id needs to be assign to the item before assigning item to the Org. The message is showing like
"*You have not applied a template to this item, please apply a template before assigning this item to an ORG.*"
Please find the below package which I wrote for this conversion requirement.
The customer is saying like need to achieve the copy functionality based on the "REF_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID and REF_ORGANIZATION_ID".
The Issue is am not able to handle the copy functionality and getting above message. kindly refer the package and suggest me where i am doing the mistake. Its high priority issue for me.
    Thanks in advance.

  • DB connection issue for Oracle 11g with jdk1.3

    Hi Experts,
I have jdk1.3 installed. I need to connect to Oracle 11g, but there is no driver class for Oracle 11g with jdk1.3. I have Classes12.jar for Oracle 9i with jdk1.3. When I try to connect to Oracle 11g with jdk1.3 using Classes12.jar, I get the below error
    Error:
    java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: Connection refused(DESCRIPTION=(TMP=)(VSNNUM=185599744)(ERR=12514)(ERROR_STACK=(ERROR=(CODE=12514)(EMFI=4))))

    at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:222)
    at oracle.jdbc.dbaccess.DBError.throwSqlException(DBError.java:335)
    at oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleConnection.<init>(OracleConnection.java:334)....
Please help to solve this issue. This is urgent.
    Thanks.

    "connection refused" is quite a clear error message;
    - either you configure a wrong host name or port number
    - the database isn't even running
    - a firewall is blocking you
In any case no connection can be made to the database, which is hardly a programming or driver problem. You'll have to figure out for whatever external reason you cannot create a connection to the database. Good luck.

  • Any compatibility issues for Oracle Client 10.2.0.4.0 and Snow Leopard?

Now that Snow Leopard is out and in fact in my hands, are there any known compatibility issues relative to the Oracle client software that is available from:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10204macsoft.html
    Thanks.
BTW, it might be worthwhile to know about the following web site:
    http://snowleopard.wikidot.com/
and for someone from Oracle to post an appropriate listing there as that site is becoming known as a central resource for such queries.
    Marc

    Guys,
I appreciate all of your replies, but:
    1. Just to be clear, I am talking about running the CLIENT (SQL*Plus) on Snow Leopard, which will connect to Oracle 11g, which is running on RHEL 5. I don't care in the least as to whether or not Oracle 11g will run on Snow Leopard. Today, I run the CLIENT on Leopard from the CLI and can connect to 11g on RHEL 5 just fine. I use the Actual Technologies ODBC driver (http://www.actualtechnologies.com/product_oracle.php) for queries in other applications and I have a similar query regarding Snow Leopard compatibility into them.
    2. @damorgan: Are you telling me that the client software that I can download from Oracle here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10204macsoft.html
was written by Oracle and certified by Apple to run on Leopard (10.5)? I am curious, because today, it was Microsoft and not Apple that put forth the statement that Office 2008 is fine on Snow Leopard:
    http://www.officeformac.com/blog/Ready-for-Snow-Leopard
Are you suggesting, as a parallel, that Apple did the certification of Office 2008 for Snow Leopard, not Microsoft? Or that Apple and not Cisco, will certify that Cisco's VPN client will work on Snow Leopard?
    Thanks,
    Marc

  • Driver issue for Oracle Enterprise Linux

    Hi All,
I have just installed Oracle Enterprise Linux. I was not able to access network. After doing lspci -- i found that my ethernet conrtoller : Atheros Communications AR8151 Gigabit Ethernet.
Can any one tell how to install driver for this ?

    What is your output of:
    <pre>
    lsb_release -d
    uname -r
    </pre>
What kernel driver is in use or loaded regarding your Ethernet card when you check the output of lspci -v"?
Note that Oracle Linux just like any other Red Hat Enterprise Linux is not designed for typical consumer grade Laptops and Desktop systems.
Does your computer vendor provide any driver software for Enterprise Linux? You might be able to find 3rd party driver support using http://elrepo.org/tiki/tiki-index.php as a temporary yum software repository. Probably kmod-atl1 or similar.

    Hi,
That is because the package does not exist, you have select from dba_objects and nothing returned so the object does not exist
If the package exist in 10.2.0.1 then simply copy and create it in 10.2.0.4

  • Help Required for Class Path Setting

Plz Inform me How I Set Classpath in DOS Environment.
    as soon as Possible.
    [email protected]

You don't. Java doesn't run in DOS.
Presumably you are refering to windows.
    From the command line
    set CLASSPATH=.;c:\mydir
To always set it that way.
-in win 9x use the same 'set' command in the autoexec.bat file which should be in c:\
-in win NT use the start->settings->control panel->system. Use the 'environment tab' The variable can be set either in the user or system space.
For the newer windows they probably use something like the above (probably the second method.)

  • Setting isolation level with JDriver for Oracle/XA

    edocs (http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs70/oracle/trxjdbcx.html#1080746) states that,
if using jDriver for Oracle/XA you can not set the transaction isolation level
for a transaction and that 'Transactions use the transaction isolation level set
on the connection or the default transaction isolation level for the database'.
Does this mean that you shouldn't try to set it programatically (fair enough)
or that you can't set it in the weblogic deployment descriptor either? Also anybody
got any idea what the default is likely to be if you are using an Oracle 9iR2
database? Is this determined by some database setting?

database? Is this determined by some database setting? The system should honor the setting defined in the deployment descriptor,
however, for oracle it may not be helpful to change it. Oracle provides two
isolation levels. The default is always READ_COMMITTED. The other
setting is SERIALIZABLE, but this hurts performance, and is also problematic
in the way oracle implements it. For instance, even if you set SERIALIZABLE,
oracle will not lock read data. It will allow other transactions to read and/or
alter data trhat another ongoing SERIALIZABLE transaction has read. The
only way to really lock read data in oracle is to issue oracle-specific SQL in
your select: "SELECT ..... FOR UPDATE".
All in all, you should collect a strong case for why you can't proceed with
READ_COMMITTED first. Then you should research oracle's recommendations
(and their problem record) with SERIALIZABLE.
