Issue in viewing 'Print Preview' of SAPScript output in different languages

Hi All,
I have developed a SAP Script.
It is working correctly in English in all aspects.
I have created few standard texts for headers in SO10 and maintained in different languages.
In Print program also while retrieving these text i have used Order's language.
In debug mode also it is showing texts in different language (Chinese, Japanese, Thai etc...).
But in print preview it is showing as # every where we suppose to print headers from standard texts.
How can i view these texts in their original language (Order)!
Can anybody provide the solution for the same!

Hi,
I have selected 'Supplemental language support' boxes.
But still it is not working.
Can anybody solve above posted issue!
In PO it is showing in Japanese/Chinese etc.. characters.
In SO10 it is showing texts in respective languiages.
In debug mode of Print program & Layout set text is shown in respective language of text based on country of PO.
But in print preview it is showing as # everywhere there must text in different language.
Only in English i am able to view print preview correctly.
Can anybody provide inputs for resolving this issue!

Hi,
I have an issue with viewing print preview for PO output.
In Messages,output type has been defined.
I am trying to display print preview of the PO outpit by clicking on the print preview button.
Instead of displaying the print preview on my screen,the printout is directly fired in the printer.Please note I am trying to display just the print preview and not printing the PO.
This happens even when I have not set 'Print immediately' indicator in Communication setting and have defined 'Send with application own transaction'.

Hi,
Triggering print or Preview option is dependent on driver program assigned to output type in OMTB. It will be customized program. You need to do modification in your customized program.

Having trouble viewing the print preview of sapscript

Hi experts,
I am currently developing a driver program that calls 13 different sapscript forms (which are also customized - has n existing standards). so basically, the whole program and the forms are all from scratch.
I've already executed the call function open, write and close forms, but everytime i test the program in the QAS, (the part where you can choose the print preview and the output device)
and press the print preview button, a dialog box appears telling me:
WRITE_FORM is invalid, OPEN_FORM is missing.
But i clearly stated that in my program.
Can anyone tell me how am i suppose to write the call functions that will let me see the print preview?
Also, at this moment, i'm not passing anything yet from the program to the form, i just want to check if the form is being called.

Order of calling OPEN_FORM,WRITE_FORM,CLOSE_FORM
is CALL FUNCTION 'OPEN_FORM'.
            LOOP AT ITAB.
              CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM' .
           ENDLOOP.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'.
You know this order.Now as you are calling more than 1 form
we should call every form between
CALL FUNCTION 'OPEN_FORM'.
CALL FUNCTION 'START_FORM'.
LOOP AT ITAB.
              CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM' .
           ENDLOOP.
CALL FUNCTION 'END_FORM'.
CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'.
Try using this.

Can we get a output in different languages for the same configuration

Hi All,
Can we get a output in different languages for the same configuration done in NACE. or it is language specific.
They have symbols which have values both in german and english. But when we run the transaction we are getting the output only in german language.We want the out put in english
language.

A Smartform can be maintained in many languages other than the language that it is created. Translations for the texts have to be maintained for this purpose.
To maintain the translations:
Go to transaction SE63 in R/3.
Go to menu Translation->R/3 Enterprise->Other Long Texts
Select the object type in the pop up. Smartform(SSF) object type is found under Forms and Styles(FS).
Enter the name of the Smart form and choose the source and target language. This would open a screen with the Smartform code in Source language on the top and an editor with the same code in the bottom.
Find the text for which you need to maintain the translation and insert the translation in that place. As usual after required texts are maintained Save and Activate.
To see the translated Smartform create an output type and assign the smartform and the driver program to this output type. In the transaction that sends output to this smartform, select the output type and select the language in which the smartform has to be displayed (translations have to be maintained in this lanuage).This will give the smartform in the required language.

Problem while viewing print preview in Portal(EP7.0)

Hello Experts,
We have prepared an ABAP report which generates an output in print format.We have used standard function module(SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME) and the smartform gets displayed correctly in print preview on R/3 side.But when i create a transaction iview and use this report in portal, the output gets generated in pdf format directly.I do not want to display the report in .pdf format but i would like the users to view the output same as in R/3 format.
Please advise.

No data display in Print preview for sapscript

Hi All
I have copied a standard sapscript and the driver program (RVADAUS1) and made some minor changes to both.
Now when i print preview it, no data is displayed. I checked in debugger, the data is present till perform WRITE_FORM but is not there in sap script.
Please help!!

The data is coming in driver program..I have debugged both driver prog and the sapscript..The data is present in the driver program in the Read statement just before the write_form function module is called to fill in the data in sapscript..But when i debugged sapscript, the data is not coming there.. even the window boundaries are not printed..Only a single line present in MAin window is being printed. Rest all is empty.

How can a view Print preview in TextEdit?

I have never worked with a Macbook before so this is a little new to me. I just want to know how many pages of a document I have written. Or how I can "Print Preview" the doc. Thanks:)

In the print window click on the "Preview" button. At least that is the way it works in Snow Leopard and Epson printers. Which os are you using and which printer? You provided no system information.

PP Breakdown Notification Print After Viewing Print Preview

Hi All,
I am creating Breakdown Notification from IW21 and want to take its printout from IW22 After looking its Preview .But when we go for Print preview the Print Button is Deactivated .When I go for Print in the Pop-up I can select the Print ,Then i can take the printout i.e before seeing the Preview.
So hope I am clear in Question , I want the Print should activated in the Preview Screen..
Someone suggest of how to about it .

Problem in Print preview of smart forms in different servers.

Print preview is different in different systems(development and Quality) for the same smartform, though everything is same.
both are seen on print preview of locl printer, and I have checked the settings of locl in spad also and this also has no difference, there is absolutely no difference in smartform ,style paragraph format or character format.
Can anyone please let me know what could be the problem.

Generating same SApScript output to different output methods

Hi All,
Can someone tell me whether it's possible to generate different out methods using the same SAPScript output. if so how to do it ??
i.e : e-mail & printer or fax & printer.

Is there a BAPI to send the spool request as an e-mail or fax.
About the sequence of events:
Generating of the spool request is done using the open_form right. Once the form is closed get the spool id and send it by e-mail or fax ???.

Documents preview and print in arabic as well as different languages.

Hello we are using Adobe reader 9.0. We have a internet application that prepares our mortgage documents using Adobe 7,8,9. Some of the document looks good but parts are arabic amongst other languages. It appears to be a font issue. When printing as well we have to print these documents as images.

Absolutely great that your system is a Unicode system. So you can do as following.
1. Type in the text in Unicode encoding. I am not sure the software which you are using to type in Arabic is supporting Unicode.
So just to test whether it supports Unicode try copying the Arabic text in notepad/word and check whether those words are copied properly or not. If yes then go ahead keeping them in the SO10 Object.
If the Arabic text are rendered as boxes or question mark then the problem is with your typing software.
2. After keeping the text in the SO10. You can print it by normal include command in the script.
If you are still not able to print them then you need to check the printer configuration with help of SPAD transaction.
Just ensure the printer character set in Attributes Tab is 4110 and UTF-8 encoding. If not then contact your basis team to change these settings.
Try it and do let me know.

Printing GR and GI documents in different languages

We have users logging in French and English. When posting a Good Issue or a Goods receipt the documents are printing in English only. We have set up SAPscript documents for both languages.

did you try to complete transaction with same language? I had same problem some time back for JP language. we asked user to log in JP language and complete the transaction and then ask him to take a print out with same log in language. It was working.

Need smartform output in different languages

Hi expert,
Can you please let me know how can I see the output of a smartform in different languages. I'm seeing the output of a sales order. I have three output types . ZZAC,ZZ00, ZZ01. The smarform is developed with the language attributes of Translate into all languages. Is it required to convert the forms in SE63? or there are other ways we can see it.
I need the output in all the languages like FR,EN,DE,IT,ES ,EN etc.

Getting report (rdf) output in different language format other than english

I have a report registered in apps with the output type as pdf.when i run it,the output comes in pdf but in a language other than english.
when i run the report in the reports builder the output in pdf comes in english.I am using EBS R12.

what do you mean "configured" ?
mls is the ability to run you application on different language like italian, russian ....
so if you want check how many lang do you have then
select nls_language from fnd_languages where installed_flag in ('B','I');for my test instance i have only "AMERICAN"
but i can run my report with 'lang-template per lang' in different lang
so when you run your concurrent then click "options" and indicate "template language"
if you have
template name: XXTMP_ru.rtf lang: Russian
template name: XXTMP_en.rtf lang: English
then you can choose for "template language" - Russian and English
