Issue regarding media card since upgrading to v6

Hello,
I am experiencing a couple of problems with my device since the last prompted OS upgrade:
1. When I plug the device into a USB port on my PC, it successfully begins charging but I do not receive the familiar "USB Drive / Sync Media / Charge Only" selection prompt. Furthermore, the device isn't being recognized as a peripheral by my PC and, as such, I cannot access its data.
Note: I have enabled "Media Card Support" in Options -> Device -> Storage
2. When I send someone a voice note using BBM's "Send -> Voice Note" option, it no longer appears to save the voice note in the voice note collection in the Media section as it used to do.
I assume these two problems stem from the same issue, but I can't imagine what it may be, and looking around the forums / Google has produced nothing useful.

Serious issues with AirTunes playback since "upgrading" to iTunes 7.3.2 (6)

Dear All,
I'd appreciate your help - I use iTunes a lot, and absolutely love it. Most of the time, I use my stereo for playback, via AirTunes. While the delay in connecting with the stereo has increased significantly over the past eighteen months or so (it used to take about one and a half seconds to connect to the speakers, whereas now, anything below ten seconds can be considered quick), and there seem to be some minor issues (after pausing, you cannot always resume the playback without switching to the MacBook's speakers, and then back to the remote speakters) that never really bothered me.
Anyhow, since upgrading to iTunes 7.3.2 (6) three days ago, things have gone seriously wrong. I never had any playback issues in iTunes, even over very long periods of continuous use. Now, however, the playback just stops periodically, and sometimes restarts on its own after a second or two. Sometimes, however, it doesn't - and using the remote control to restart the playback doesn't work either.
I should add that the hardware situation is unchanged, and that I always use my iPod, via my MacBook Pro.

Do you have ReadyBoost enabled on the PC? If so, by way of experiment, try disabling that as per the instructions from the following document:

Issues with Outlook 2011 since upgrading to Yosemite

Hi,
I have reached out to Microsoft for this issue and they are saying it's an issue with Apple, so I don't really know who to reach out to. I am running Yosemite 10.10.1 on my Macbook Pro. I have had Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac installed on this computer since I purchased it in 2010. Everything ran fine until I upgraded to Yosemite. Other than everything running waaaay slower than it did before the upgrade (slower than my Dell, if that tells you anything), my main issue is that my AOL email account will not sync incoming messages correctly in Outlook. It syncs both of my other email accounts just fine, but the AOL account is off. It imports only some emails and then it also converts emails that I have read on my phone into blank "no subject", "no sender" messages. The messages all still show just fine on aol.com and on my iphone. Very weird. I have completely uninstalled & reinstalled Microsoft Office, so I am assuming that it's not a problem with office, but with Yosemite. Any one else have a similar problem?
Again, I know this might not be the best forum for this question, but my Apple friends are the smartest people I know, so I'm hoping someone out there can help me out (and Microsoft has NOT been helpful at all)!

In late November I bought a second Macbook pro simply to have assured redundancy . Friday AOL stopped working on both computers and then another client em using MS server also failed.
I can read mail but not send .......... my guess is that it is the last Yosemite upgrade
I wonder how Timmy would feel if he launched in the Apple jet only to find that it's landing gear would not extend on landing because Gulfstream had sneaked into the hangar and modified the landing gear, knowing that it would fail. if he can visualize how I feel having been unable to work on a number of critical problems over the weekend. I bought two mac's because I wanted superior performance, not because I wanted to be a software troubleshooter. Simply an inexcusable betrayal of Apples customers ..

Having sync issues with Outlook 2011 since upgrading to Mavericks

Hi All,
My work Macbook Pro 13" is having issues syncing my inbox and sent mail automatically. It's a hit or miss if I recieve emails in my inbox in a timely mannor with out pressing the Send/Recive button (even when i press it takes minutes to update). My Sent Items can show up an hour later even if I hit the Send/Recieve button.
All my mail is there and shows up/syncs on my iPhone quickly. I upgraded to Mavericks right when it came out and have only been having these sync issues for the last week or so.
I've cleared my mail cache and that didn't work. My calandar reminders and contacts don't seem to have any issues and no other apps have been preforming slow or strangely.... just my VERY important work email. My tech guys are stumped and I wanted to try you guys before they do a major rehaul of my system

A new Outlook Identity will most likely solve your issues. If you have any data under "On My Computer" folders, see this link:

BTW, how much free space on your drive? Use Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities to find this info. You need a minimum of 10% free but 15-20% is recommended.
Outlook gets very sluggish when you are low on disk space. If you have a bunch of older Identities from previous rebuilds you can delete these to help free up space.

Has Firefox been optimzied for the new Mac OSX Lion? I've been having issues using the browser since upgrading to Lion. Issues include using some websites as well as google e-mail...icons do not appear etc.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Issues regarding Smart Card login inside domain and on SmartPhones

i am planning to implemnt at my domain login ONLY with smartcard
i saw i have some option how to do it , one with GPO that covers all the computers (or some computers with defined groups)
or i can check the "smart card is required ...." this could be the easy way but when i check this box
the users with the smartphones no longer can authenticate with it to get emails , also the OWA is not availble for them
is there any solution so the users will have to login with smartcard and still get the emails to the smartphones ?

Issues with iPhone 5 since upgrading to iOS 8

Hi, Just wondering if anyone else out there is having problems with iPhone 5 after upgrading to new software level? I noticed after install (seemed to go smoothly but slowly) that my phone now seems to have a hard time when I power the phone on. It seems to take forever, and sometimes have to hit the power and home buttons together to force the action. I realize this could be some other hardware issue, but it strange that it only started after the upgrade. Everything else seems to be normal after the initial difficulties, but it has never done this to me before. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Also, phone freezes and will not answer incoming call when you swipe. Poor phone voice connections with constant dropped calls. It doesn't seem to recognize my 3G microcell

If you updated to Kit Kat, I would run a system cache, followed by a Factory Reset.. see if that helps

when i sync my iphone to my computer to update my music, it syncs as normal to my phone but it re-arranges the most played songs and puts them at the bottom of the app rather in the exact order its appearing as in itunes. this only started happening when i updated to the new iOS platform. can somebody else? i need them to sync so that my most played songs remain at the top and not the opposite!!

You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

Problems with cfscheduler since upgrading to CF10

We are having major issues with the scheduler since upgrading to CF 10 (All the job are from CF 9 and had not issues)
1. When I try to update a schedule task I get
Unable to store Job : 'SERVERSCHEDULETASK#$%^DEFAULT.job_BASICDATA1_LOADER &#X28;PRPMS&#X29;', because one already exists with this identification.
and the JOB disappears
2. I have several jobs that create text files and when run from the scheduler the file is not creates BUT when run from the URL work fine. No errors from the scheduler or the job.

I also have a sound issue with fast track pro and posted this on m-audio forum today to see what turns up...
Periodically the sound through my FastTrack Pro crackles then dies.
I think this is more prevalent, albeit I don't understand why, when changing sound 'sources' e.g. if last use was via Ableton and next was from youtube, or visa versa - I can't replicate this at will, it seems to be random.
I can resuscitate things things by going in to the driver settings and changing a setting e.g. the output channel, saving (Applying), then changing back and saving again.

SD card cannot be formatted or written to since upgrade to Mountain Lion.

Since upgrading to mountain lion, I cannot format (write) to any of my MS-DOS (FAT 32) formatted SD cards. Prior to the upgrade this was never a problem. Apple Genius bar and calls to support have been no help so far. Can someone here solve this issue ?

Hi and Welcome to the Forums! If by "device", you mean your BB, probably not. If, by "device", you mean the card, then probably yes. You can keep diagnosing by trying other things:
A known-good card in your BB
This potentially bad card in a different card reader
This potentially bad card in a known-good BB (one that for sure can read it's Media Card)
But, given how short a time you've had it, taking it in for evaluation might actually be your best bet.

I do not mean the entire ITunes folder but, rather, the contents of the ITunes folder prior to September 29th. (90% of the media is missing, along with all playlists) The media that remains says it was added on 9/29 although I know most of it was added many months or even years earlier. There are no playlists listed at all, before or after 9/29. (I know for certain that I added non-iTunes purchased songs on 10/6 although I had not created playlists for them)
I have my iTunes folder backed up on both an external drive as well as Time Machine.
I run iTunes off of an ITunes folder on my computer rather than from the external, if that's what you mean about how I have it set up.
Is it OK to drag the entire iTunes folder from the external drive onto my laptop's drive and see if that fixes it?

Media Go Installation/Upgrade Issues

A user of Media Go since day one, I was informed that there was an upgrade (version 1.7) and preceeded to install it... Unfortunately, The installation failed.
According to the Media Go installation (in a dialog box):
There was an error during the installation.
Could not access network location \\STORA\ FamilyLibrary\Desktop\.
Would you like to submit additional error information?
In the main installation window in the background, one can see:

One or more features could not be installed. The installation has been stopped.
Click Cancel to exit.
After a lot of mucking around, I un-installed Media Go and attempted to install both versions 1.5 and version 1.6, however I received the same error message both times.
For those that are aware of NETGEAR's Stora products, users must login to a Notification Area (system tray) application called "Stora Agent" , and also login to the network resource via Explorer - I have done this and the folders mentioned above (\\STORA\FamilyLibrary\Desktop\) are available to all applications... Further to this, Media Go was able to access this folder without issue prior to the update/re-installation.
Any ideas?

It seems that Media Go is not able to gain access to the folder.
What if the folder (drive) were not log in protected during install? Maybe that could be a possible solution. As I understand, there is no problem for you to install Media Go on a local drive?
