Issue regarding posting in back date in co

Dear All,
My client is facing the following problem, could you please advice me on this
During July Month end procedure there is an out of balance for a Production order ie, KOB1 balance is not matching with Production order inventory change.
The issue was due to the reversal of already confirmed labour on 31/07/2009. but the cancellation was done for the confirmation pretaining to Feb & March 2009 which is on previous FY.
Questions are
1 ) Since the controlling period is closed for the Previous FY can we confirm that the posting has not occured, how can i confirm the same?
2)The OH rate for labour is not able to correct since this is a areversal of labour and the values are not settled... how can i move forward on this?
3)Can a journal entry to the Production order can correct these with offset going to a dummy internal order ,, what will be the effect of the same?
4)I need to understand how posting in controlling could occur four months after the prior fiscal year end.?
Thank you In advance
Regards
Arun R

Dear Arun,
If you assume you will post JV using dummy internal order.... amount which will get posted in internal order will be unabsorbed...
For taking impact of the amount in activity or material you will have to settle this to some cost center or asset as per your scenario. Other wise it will remain ideal for ever and activity cost and std. cost will not 100% accurate for the period.

I don't have $38.10.number in my query. Where did you get this field?
    please follow below steps:
    1. Run above query in generator. Sure it gives an error message and ignore this message.
    2. save it under query manager
    3. Assign this FMS at AP invoice posting date and set auto refresh when customer vendor refer is changed.

  • Physical Inventory Document has to be posted in back date!

    Hi friends,
A user has created physical inventory document in november, but did not post then. Now MM period is open for December & FI period is open for January. How to post document that was created in november. User do not want to delete & recreate the document.  Can this be achieved?

the only thing you can do is to delete this document with MI02 transaction.
you can only post to current and previous period.
Take it as an experience, next time you will be quicker with your activities.

  • Regarding Posting Date in IDOC for Intercompany Invoice

    Hi,
We have priority issue regarding posting date in IDOC. When we create Intercompany invoice, billing date in intercompany is Actual GI date of delivery document and also Invoice posted with Actual GI date only. But, in IDOC, Posting date is appearing as Planned GI date of delivery document.
Actual GI date and Billing date and Posting date in IDOC should be same., but, posting date in IDOC is appearing as Planned GI date of delivery doc.
Kindly help in finding out the root cause of, why posting date in IDOC is not appearing as Billing date and appearing as Planned GI date of Delivery document. This issue is happening from past one month for Intercompany invoice, previously posting date in IDOC used to appear as Billing date only.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jai Prabhu.

    Hi Jai,
Are you using standard message type INVOIC ?
If so check SEGMENT E1EDK02 for date field
and also check if there is no code put to overwrite the date
you can check the code in Function module  "IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC"

  • Regarding Post goods Issue.

    Dear SAP Guru's
This is regarding the Posting goods issue from SALES ORDER
    SCENERIO.
    1. Posting period open :
        2007/10 & 2007/09
As posting in Material Management allows only on previous month and current month.
When a back dated order is created the PGI is not happening.
Also in the schedule line level the BOM
    1. The BOM header material gets the schedule line as the back date when set
    2. But the child parts of the material gets the schedule line of the todays days not of the back date.
Please suggest if the PGI would be possible backdated my scenerio.
    regards,
    Amlan Sarkar

    hi,
Use the T-code MMPV or MMRV for closing the periods and check in the log for the correct period of posting.

  • Issues with Writing back data to Planning Cube After adding a new characterstic

    Hello,
We have two cubes and a MP on top of it. ( Reporting Cube and Planning Cube ). An aggregation layer has also been built and so does a planning BEx query on top of it.
Before Scenario: things were working fine as we were able to write back data to planning cube using the BEx.
After Scenario: We created a new Dimension in the planning cube and added a new characteristic ( lets call it ZX_KEY ) . This Characteristic holds the concatenated values of some of the other characteristics in its master data tables . ( For ex: Account_Customer ID_Country-code_Industry-code ).
This new characteristic is also present in the reporting cube and has been added and transferred to MP.
This new characterstic was added to the planning BEx query as one of the rows and we executed it the analyzer. After entering the required values for all characterstics ( including the newly added ZX_KEY ) and the key figure values, we tried saving it. Now this is where the Analyzer is throwing up this error..
~~Characterstic combination cannot be assigned to part provider ~~
    ~~Characterstic 'ZX_KEY'; Characterstic value 'R123000000_12_US_TX'~~
~~ Entered values are incorrect:Correct before navigation ~~
The value that we are entering ( R123000000_12_US_TX ) is picked up from the master data table of ZX_KEY by double clicking and selecting it from the fetched values. So i am not sure as to why its throwing up the above error. Request your help on this please.
    regards,
    Karthik

    Hi,
Try to check that all characteristics are correctly assigned at multiprovider level.
    hope it helps

  • Goods receipt and post goods issue are not updated back from EWM to ECC

    Hi Experts,
Would anybody able to tell me the setting to be modified / defined to backward flow of information from EWM to ERP i.e. the goods receipt, goods issue are not being updated back in ECC once the goods receipt and  post goods issue are posted in EWM?
It would be great help if i get the response as early as possible.
    Chakrapani Das

    Hi Chakrapani,
You might want to try checking the customization on the SCM part following this path:
SPRO - Extended Warehouse Management - Interfaces - ERP Integration - General Settings
Pay special attention on the Check of ERP-EWM Configuration transaction.
After you have checked these you should probably check the outbound queue monitor (tx SMQ1) from EWM to ERP. You can use the SMQ1 - Outbound queue and SMQ2 - Inbound Queue both in ERP and SCM to check the communication betweene these two systems.
Also you may want to checkt the SLG1 - Analyse application Log in SCM in order to see if any internal bugs exist.
    All the best,

  • Issue regarding Batch determination in Production order as per Expiry date.

    Dear all,
                    first of all  happy Navratri.
I have issue regarding batch determination in production order.
I have to compare P.O header materialu2019s expiry date and issuing components expiry date at the time of batch determination.
lets take example,  Material having self life is u201CXu201D years and batch determination against PO is based on FEFO with the help of self life we can determine Expiry date of manufacturing material  suppose it is u201CYu201D  I have to introduce restriction at the time of good issue if expiry date of issuing components u201CZu201D is less than expiry date u201CYu201D.
Please give your valuable suggestions either standard or through SAP enhancements.

  • Posting period in back date (MMPV)

    Hello All,
Can i open the posting period in back date.
like my current opening period is 11 (01.02.2009) and perious posting period is 10 (01.01.2009).
can i open the 09 posting period, if yes then how, please tell.
i am using MMPV and MMRV.
    Thanks
    Pankaj Garg

    REOPEN THE PERIODS:
It is possible to re-open a previously closed period. However, it is NOT advisable to do so because the valuation data of the previous period could be affected.
In general, it is only safe to reopen a previously closed period when no material postings have been done after the period shifting to the new period.
If there has already been postings after the period shifting to the new period, reverting the period back will cause database inconsistencies in the history tables.
If you decide to proceed with this process, you can use the program RMMMINIT, but, please review the documentation of this program first!! and the check the SAP notes 487381 (for the error message that you are receiving) and the 369637 (for an explanation about the inconsistencies that will be generated.
    Steps are as below;
    Go to Transaction Code SE38
    Enter program name RMMMINIT
Execute or press F8 function button
Enter your company code (From and To)
Enter relevant date: Say 01/03/2008 for Mar. 2008 month to be opened as of now
That means, user can post for the month of Feb 2008 as well as Mar. 2008
Refer SAP Note No. 487381 for more details.
As per SAP Notes 487381 ( If the periods are opened in advance in mmpv to again change it to current period the following process should be follow ), Go to Tcode MMPI, then go to menu bar and select system -> user profile->owndata.In that screen , under the parameters tab enter MMPI_READ_NOTE in Parameter ID field and enter, then under short description you will get Initialise period. Next Save.
Again go to MMPI enter company code, period and year and execute.
Other way of doing it is follow these steps( But try this method in Sand box Only):
    1. Go to OX18, and delete the plants assigned to your CO.Cd and save.
    2. Go to OMSY and change the posting period to the one u want and save.
3.Go to OX18 and assign the plants you have deleted in step 1.and save.

  • Negative closing stock on back date

    All SAP Gurus,
We have made GR (MIGO) on todays posting date.
And issued the material on yesterday's posting date (past date), (where there was no stock on that date).
System allowed us to issue the material on past date, on which there was no stock.
And now showing closing stock on previous date as negative.
We want to avoid such negative closing stock.
What configuarational changes we need to do?
    Regards,

    hi
This is standard functionality .. u can not do anything in std. as there is no error message available for this
u can do one thing In OMSY u can remove  remove the check mark in the ABp (Allow Back Posting) check box for your Company Code, to stop postings in the closed periods.
or in MMRV  do not tick posting in previous period
    Vishal.....

  • No GR on Back date (Document Date)

    Hi All,
We normally use Tx: MB01 and MB0A for Goods Reciept.
Now we have a requirement not to allow GR on back date (i.e. Document date in GR screen should not be back dated) but it should be allowed in Goods Issue (MB1A).
I have tried by using the screen control for Goods movement; I made the field 'Document date' in display mode but it is getting in display mode in all Tx: MB01,MB0A & MB1A,MB1C.
How to achieve this "Not to allow GR on back date only in GR transactions"
any possibility of Message control / Screen variants / any other thing ??
    Please suggest.
    kind regards,
    kumar

    Hi,
You should be able to control this on posting periods unless you do not generally open back dated periods (Not recommended in normal practise).
You could try putting the latest possible GR date in purchase order as the cut off date you want to post the document. System will not allow you to post document in case date is previous to the date maintained in this field.
    Thanks,
    Sourabh
