Issue while passing more than one promt value to bi publisher in 11.1.1.6

Hi all ,
i have created a dashboard prompt with two columns . i want them to pass to bi publisher report to filter out the result. but for some reason it's not applying both filters. It just refreshes the page with default value.
any idea how to resolve this issue.
thanks

Brent,
In the statement
${JHS.pageDefGenerator.addBinding($JHS.page,"JhsUsers","#CUSTOM_BINDING2()")}
the second argument should be the id of the binding you want to add. You use twice "JhsUsers" as id for the binding.
This id should be the same id as used in your XML page snippet, so for the first binding it should be "SubjectsActiveVisitsGraph" and for the second binding it should be "SitesActiveVistsGraph"

    you can create your on array type and then pass that as the parameter. I use the suffix of ttyp to represent a table type.  The name of the column when using the table() syntax is columnvalue.
    I altered my session to set the default date format to match your format. you could have used the to_date function to set the values for the arr type.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to pass more than one parameter using common...

    Hi,

    I want to create function from where I can pass more than one parameter to execute SP, or query just like i created for SQL SERVER as below
    Public shared Function CreateParameter(ByVal paramname As String, ByVal paramvalue As Object) As DbParameter
    Dim param As DbParameter
    param = New SqlParameter
    param.ParameterName = paramname
    param.Value = paramvalue
    Return param
    End Function
    Public Shared Function ExecuteQuery(ByVal sql As String, ByVal commtype As CommandType, ByVal ParamArray parameter As DbParameter())
    Dim cmd As DbCommand = New SqlCommand()

    End Function
    specially part is in bold to be converted
    I tried like but oracleCommand.parameters doesnt support AddRange
    please help me out
    Regards

    Hello,
    I used the following way:
    pCommand.CommandText = "Update " + sDataTable + " set "
    + sColumnName + " = :1 ";
    pCommand.Parameters.Add("ValueToDb",
    this.DefaultDbType,
    this.m_Value,
    System.Data.ParameterDirection.Input);
    Of course, you can add :2,... to your command text, too.
    The way back is:
    sEndOfTheClause += " RETURNING " + sDataTable + "." + sColName + " INTO :iNewValue";
    pCommand.CommandText = ... + sEndOfTheClause;
    pCommand.Parameters.Add("iNewValue", this.DefaultDbType,
    ParameterDirection.Output);
    bool bReturn = (pCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() != 0);
    if ((bReturn == true) && (pCommand.Parameters.Count > 0))
    this.Value = DataService.Convert<DATA_TYPE>(pCommand.Parameters[0].Value);
    ....

  • Can a url referencing an Application Process pass more than one parameter?

    Hello,
    I have a page in an application that uses pl/sql to generate a list of links.
    The purpose of each link is to call another pl/sql procedure which in turn opens/runs a report external to the APEX application (either a call to Oralce Application Server generate live or pull clob stored in database). If the URL calls the pl/sql procedure directly I lose session state and no longer know who the user is. To maintain session state the URL references an APPLICATION_PROCESS. I would like to pass a number of parameters, but can only seem to pass one, using javascript to pass the value to a hidden item which is then accessed in the procedure called by the APPLICATION_PROCESS.
    Can I pass more than one parameter?
    My URL:
    https://<server>/pls/apex/f?p=V('APP_ID'):0:V('APP_SESSION'):APPLICATION_PROCESS=MY_PROCESS:NO::P1NAME:P1VALUE
    I could pass all the parameters in P1VALUE and using a special character delimiter break it up again in the javascript, but would prefer not to.
    Thanks for any help,
    Jock

    Did you mean something like this?
    https://<server>/pls/apex/f?p=V('APP_ID'):0:V('APP_SESSION'):APPLICATION_PROCESS=MY_PROCESS:NO::P1NAME,P2NAME,P3NAME:P1VALUE,P2VALUE,P3VALUE

    Hi, Ming,
    One way is to put the "parameters" in a table, and join to that table in your query.  If you make it a Global Temporary Table, then multiple sessions can run the query at the same time, and each can be seeing different responsibilities.
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.  Since this problem involves parameters, you should give a couple of different sets of parameters, and the results you want from the same sample data for each set.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say what version of Oracle you're using (e.g. 11.2.0.2.0).

  • Function with more than one return value

And the following is the correct approach (using OUT variables is not!) - you deal with the multiple values as a data structure. This example uses an custom (user-defined) SQL data type as the structure.
    SQL> create or replace type TXYcoord is object(
      2          x       number,
      3          y       number
      4  );
      5  /
    Type created.
    SQL>
    SQL>
    SQL> create or replace function fooCoordinate( someParam number ) return TXYCoord is
      2  begin
      3          -- doing some kind of calculation using input parameters
      4          --  etc..
      5
      6          -- returning the multiple return values as a proper data structure
      7          return(
      8                  TXYcoord( 0, 0 )
      9          );
    10  end;
    11  /
    Function created.

  • Pass more than one argument for action in the URL

    Hi,
    i've created a DesktopURL object with which i refere back to the Front Page. With the same URL i want to minimize two channels at the same time. I know that i can minimize one channel with the "action=minimize&provider=myProvider" attribute.
    Is there a way to pass more than one provider for an action ?
    Or exists another way to do that ?
    thx

    In fact, my code was completely right. I tried with commas and it hasn't work. When I tried again without commas it worked perfectly...
    Nevertheless, thanks for the advice!

  • Startup issue when having more than one database on machine

    Startup issue when having more than one database on machine:
    I’ve installed two databases.
    When I shutdown one of the database and try to start it up using
    Startup pfile=’…location..’;
    I get ora-12514: TNS: listener does not currently know of service rquirest in connect descriptor
    when I try it again after 3 seconds, I get a new error, ora-01041: internal error. Hostdef extension doesn’t exist
    Shutdown and Startup gave no problems when I had one database. Why am I getting problems when I have two databases?
    I’m using: show parameter pfile|spfile; to make sure I have the right parameter locations, so the error shouldn’t be from location.
    I’ve never installed two databases on one machine, so maybe I’m making a first-timer’s error.
    Anyone know how to get this working, i.e. starting and stopping DB without issues?
    Using oracle 11gR2 on Windows 7 64bit, all is working normal.
    Thanks,
    Ayman

    Still not working though.
    When I start the services of both databases using Services, I can connect and run queries from both of the database.
    Edited by: aymanzone on Jun 15, 2011 11:47 AMFirstly ... the Oracle Service for the instance should be started for the DB you are trying to connect or start.
    Next ... from the command prompt:
    set oracle_sid=<Instance_Name>
    sqlplus sys as sysdba
    startup pfile='location of the respective db pfile'
    Now, if you want to start or connect to another DB which is on the same server (again assuming the Service is STARTED) ...
    From the same command prompt session or other ....
    set oracle_sid=<Other_Instance_Name>
    sqlplus sys as sysdba
    startup pfile='location of the respective db pfile'

  • Sending more than one name value pair via ajaxRequest.add()

    Hi all,
    I'm implementing AJAX in Oracle Application Express to perform DML operations on a table. I need to send more than one name value pair via the ajaxRequest object. Can someone guide me how to achieve this? Say for example i need to send 2 values(need to send 2 form elements when submit button is clicked) P3_region and P3_scope. i tried the following methods.
    Method 1:
    ======
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_region',document.getElementById('P3_region').value);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_scope',document.getElementById('P3_scope').value);
    Method 2:
    ======
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_region',document.getElementById('P3_region').value,'P3_scope',document.getElementById('P3_scope').value);
    Neither of them is fruitful. Can someone guide me how to achieve this?

    Balaji Radhakrishnan.

    Hi Roel,
    The javascript goes like this.
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
    function getElement1()
    document.getElementById('P3_Element1').value = '';
    var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get(null,&APP_ID.,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=Element1Process',0);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_Element2',document.getElementById('P3_Element2').value);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_Element3',document.getElementById('P3_Element3').value);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_Element4',document.getElementById('P3_Element4').value);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_Element5',document.getElementById('P3_Element5').value);
    ajaxRequest.add('P3_Element6',document.getElementById('P3_Element6').value);
    ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get();
    if(ajaxResult)
    var wsArray = ajaxResult.split("~");
    document.getElementById('P3_Element1').value = wsArray[0];
    </script>
    The application Process goes like this..
    declare
    v_Element1 VARCHAR2(60);
    begin
    select distinct Element1 into v_Element1 from TableA where Element2=:P3_Element2 AND Element3=:P3_Element3 AND Element4=:P3_Element4 AND Element5=:P3_Element5 AND Element6=:P3_Element6;
    htp.prn(v_Element1);
    exception
    when others then
    v_Element1 := 'Invalid Header Combination';
    htp.prn(v_Element1);
    end;
    The requirement goes like this..
    When i give Element2, Element3,Element4,Element5,Element6 as input in the form page the Element1 should get displayed automatically without refreshing the page. But when i use the above javascript and application process i get the Element1 loaded with some html scripts. I call the javascript using onChange() function.

  • One Goods Issue document for more than one delivery

    Hi
    I would like to know if it's possibile to post one goods issue relative to more than one delivery. Generally the relationship between goods issue and delivery is one to one but we have the necessity to create one global goods issue relative to more than one delivery. Do you know if it's possible? How can we do?
    Thank you very much for your attention

  • URGENT: passing more than one value at the same parameter

    Hello friends at www.oracle.com,
    if I have a Forms program that sends some parameters to a Report, how can I send more than one value at the same parameter that is being sent?
    For example: the Reports parameter P_CODE should receive (from Forms) and print the values 1, 2, 3 and 4, each one in a different page. But, only 4 is being printed, and these values aren't saved at a database, so I have to pass the other three values too. How can I solve this problem?
    This is quite urgent and I need help on this.
    Best regards,

    Thanks to Oracle Reports Team for answering! I'm sure this will work.

    hello,
    on the forms side, you will have to build the list for this parameter by e.g. string concat.
    on the reports side you will have to "decode" this parameter according to how you built it in forms.
    e.g. if you pass the list like this "10~20~30" you might use a where-clause in the query
    ... where instr(myCol, :myParam) >0
