Issue with iPad: apps not working

Hi all. Also iPod and iPhone user, I just bought the iPad2. But, differently from the other ones I'm having big troubles with the Apps on iPad. The icon is getting on the screen after downloading, but no downloads ensue. Only thing I get is "waiting...", and I can't use any new App. Same story with updates of existing Apps. Once update is agreed upon, the App goes in the same kind of "limbo mode".
Who can help out and resolve this issue?!

Finish the download in iTunes on your computer.
Launch iTunes and go to Store>Check for Available Downloads. If you have one available, go ahead and download it to the computer. Maybe that will open up the pipeline on the iPad. You can sync the app or update to the iPad. Or if it was an app clogging the download stream, you can download it again on the iPad without syncing via the purchased tab in the App store.
If that doesn't work, try a couple of basics.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Logic Remote iPad app not working

    I've have Logic Pro X installed on Mountain Lion and the latest IOS on an iPad (3rd gen) running Logic Remote but can't get them to work together.
    After I choose the Mac pop up boxes keep appearing with either an option to re-connect to Mac or the attached error. (In the backround I can see the clock ticking that's synced with the Logic project playing on the Mac?
    I've never had any problems with my wi fi and all the other apps work fine (including other controller apps that communicate with Logic Pro 9?)
    I've tried removed the iPad from the Control Surface Setup page in Logic Pro X and selecting it again from the iPad app (which re-adds it correctly into the Setup in Logic Pro X)
    Any ideas?

    Amazingly this worked, thanks. I'd already removed and let it add automatically a few times and it didn't work properly even after authorizing it.
    I removed it from the setup and then added it back in manually myself (New, Install, Apple Logic Remote).
    Then I ran the iPad app, and I ended up with 2 Logic remotes in the Control Surfaces Setup. The iPad logic remote wasn't coming up with any errors but all the faders were on 0 when they weren't on the Logic Pro X on the mac.
    I then deleted the first Logic Remote in the Control Surfaces Setup and it seems to work. Thanks!

  • How can I get help with an app not working properly?

    I just bought a 'learn Gujarati' app and the sound is so low I can hardly hear it even with the sound control on the iPad turned up as high as it would go. I have only had the iPad a few months - present from children, and I LOVE it and want to make most of it, thanks, Chrissy

  • Launch Page with News App not working

    Hi All,
    We are trying add news app (Local Getway) on launch page and it is showing "No Article display" also found lots of error in fire bug.

    New news app is working fine with small URL. When i try to use below length of url application is not saving the URL even we have replaced ~ with "&#126".
    "http://XXX.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.XXX/investor/corporate.rss?c=XXXXX&Rule=Cat=news&#126subcat=ALL"
    Is there any length limitation. How do I use such length of URL.

  • Foto Synchronisation with ipad does not work correctly

    New Photos after installing the Mavericks update doe not synch. with iPad.
    The fotos are visible on iPhoto on the Mac , but no transfer via iTunes are possible to the iPad.
    Any tip to resolve?

  • I'm having issues with my mail not working

    My mail is not working properly, it's basically now frozen so i have it appear in my menu at the top of the page but can't actually open it fully to check the mail and also can't close it fully to allow me to shut downt he computer. Help!!!!!

    Can you Force Quit? From the Apple menu, select Force Quit... you should be able to quit Mail. After that, just try restarting and see if Mail behaves.

  • Free apps included with iPad Air not working with VPP

    I can't disperse the free apps that come with the iPad Air using a VPP account. Apps like Pages are "free" with the iPad air, but cost $10 using VPP. I see it as a problem becuase the company purchased the device. The employee can download it as free but then they get ownership. Is there a solution to this?

  • ITunes 12 WiFi Sync with iPad/iPhone not working

    Previously with Mavericks and iTunes 11, my iPad and iPhone showed up in the side bar and I could sync from the either device. With Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1.26, neither device shows up in iTunes 12 (That I can find). Hitting Sync Now in General/iTunes Wifi Sync on an iPhone results in a continuous "Looking for John's iMac" without ever succeeding. My iMac is connected to a current gen AP Extreme via Ethernet. I have also enabled WiFi on the iMac with no luck.
    Any ideas on how to get this to work?

    I too have been having this issue for some time. For me it's after I upgraded to Yosemite. I also have an old MacBook running Lion that syncs with my kid's old iPhone4 over WiFi. I noticed that the MacBook has no problems syncing with the iPhone4. Meanwhile, my iMac running Yosemite was having other problems. Namely, its computer name keeps getting changed by having (#) appended to the end after every sleep/wake cycle. See this thread for an explanation of the symptom:  computer name changed automatically
    After doing some research on here and some experimentation on my own, I came up with this possible fix.
    We have 3 iDevices that sync to the iMac (Yosemite). Two of them are connected to it by USB at night. The other (iPad Air) is strictly WiFi. As of the Yosemite upgrade, the iPad Air has had issues connecting to the iMac via WiFi. So today I checked on the iPad and sure enough in WiFi Sync prefs it was looking for "MyMac (3)" instead of "MyMac". I made sure the computer name on the iMac is fixed (MyMac), then connected the iPad Air to it to initiate a sync. In WiFi prefs, it now correctly points to "MyMac". I disconnected the iPad and quit out of iTunes. I relaunch iTunes and it promptly shows all 3 iDevices. I can also initiate a remote WiFi sync from within iTunes.
    I'm not sure if the computer name change issue originated in Mavericks because I didn't use it for long. But for Yosemite, this seems to have fixed it for me and it beats restoring all my iDevices. Let me know if this works for you.

  • IPad apps not working!

    Today I plugged in my brothers ipad into my computer to charge and on the next day all his apps wont open and they it has to be synched with my comp. He lives pretty far and is unable to do so.
    What can we do?

    It's not the usual screen with the little wire that says connect to itunes. Whenever my brother tries to open >his< purchased apps, they sort of start up and then turn off.  
    In some apps like music it does talk about synchronization.

    I have a clean install of 10.7.2 running on an Xserve.
    Configure VPN using the new method through the Server.app, no problems.
    Generate .mobileconfig file and install on remote systems
    all necessary ports have been opened on Firewall for server and for external clients (note that the problem exists even with firewalls disabled)
    attempt to VPN into server and receive error message: "The L2TP-VPN server did not respond. Try reconnecting. If the problem continues, verify your settings and contact your Administrator."
    I have verified that the user account has VPN enabled; correct SharedSecret, etc.; even with admin account this fails
    Any thoughts or wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the same problem. I was wondering if it was becaue I needed a static IP address or a more simple secret word, but waiting to give those a try.

  • Do you have an issue with the touchscreen not working when cold?

    I just got an iPhone 5 64GB White and noticed that when I ran with it outside today, in about 50 degree weather, the phone's touchscreen stopped responding. Basically I couldn't swipe to unlock. I also noticed when I put the phone on my kitchen granite countertop which is pretty cool, the phone does not recognize my touch on the screen. Was wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

    I noticed a problem with the touchscreen at cooler temperatures as well - even at about 60 degrees, it stopped responding to touch in part or all of the screen.  It took a while to figure out, but your post helped me - thank you.
    I took the phone in to the Genius bar, was able to reproduce the problem (I'd let the phone sit near my car's air conditioner on the way there - heh), and they replaced it without argument.  The new phone does not have the same problem.
    This is the first Apple device I've had to replace for a defect, and I'm impressed.  I hadn't purchased any of their Apple care or any insurance but it was free and took all of 15 minutes.

  • Java apps not working right

    I lately have found problems with Java apps not working correctly. For example, in Yahoo Widgets I cannot get any widget preferences to display; in Apple's Java Preferences for J2SE 5.0 the preference window opens but is blank; and in JBidwatcher the buttons are missing in main and preference windows.
    When I log in as another user I find all those apps work properly, so it seems to be something wrong within my User folder. I tried reinstalling the Java J2SE50ReIease4 but it didn't help. Is there something I can delete and/or reinstall to fix this problem?

    I made the mistake of thinking I could throw away the preferences in the Java folder and new pref's would automatically replace the missing pref's, much to my surprise no such thing happened. My settup is the same as yours, except my OS is 10.4.8.

  • TS1702 Has anyone had any issues with the app scramble with friends after updating to iOS 6. The touch screen is not responding properly when selecting the tiles but worked fine before the update
