Issue with number of replies in collaboration Server

Hello,
We are using the collaboration server 4.02.
We are experiencing issues with the collab API or directly with the native explorer.
If we create a project, then a discussion, then a message in this discussion and then more than 15 replies a forumthreadlimit exception occurs.
Why there's a limitation of 15? Can we increase this number in a specific config file?

What where the precise Kernel updates? What where you on and what did you upgrade too?
Did you apply any BASIS Support Pack corrections during the Kernel upgrade?

Issue with Information broadcasting and pre-cal server in SAP BI

Hi Experts,
I have issue with information Broadcasting and Pre-cal server. I have a worrkbook whcih runs from information broadcasting in pre-cal server. Workbook is desinged on single query and workbook contains visual basic code. workbook has a variable which is controlled by Control query in information broadcasting.
I have 20 employees every month I need to send workbook via e-mail from information broadcasting. The problem is sometimes all 20 employees will recieve e-mails and sometimes not. I identified there is something wrong in workbook or in pre-cal server.
because after workbook calculation in pre-cal server is not pushing to SOST so there is something wrong in workbook or in pre-cal server.
I closely observed pre-cal server front end log. There are few operations performing on workbook in pre-cal server
like Open workbook, Calculate workbook, Save woorkbook and close workbook. In success case pre-cal sever is performing all the operations but in failure case pre-cal server is missing Close workbook case.

I went into RSPRECADMIN and clicked on 'Display Current Queue'. There we have 3 sections
1) Queue Overview of Open Precalculations
I can see this section is always blank after running IB also
2) Queue Overview of Current Precalculations
In this section I can see an entry after running IB and duration is changing. but some time workbook in this section will never processed but the duration column is changing may be something is happening at this stage.
If the entry is not proccessed in this section and IB SM37 job will never end. I manually cancelled the job from SM50.
Don't why the workbook is taking long time and will never end even though I cancelled the SM37 IB job.
3) Queue Overview of Proccessed Error-Free Precalculations
All the error free workbooks which means all pre-cal server completed workbook calculation and sent to SOST.
I manually ran the workbook for all the 20 employees I can't find any pop-up message (earlier we have pop-up windows appearing because of VB code and when report returns no data and we fixed the pop-up issues)
Can you please help me further to trace the error.

CSV to Excel 2013 - Issue with number format

Hi,
I use Excel 2013 to manipulate CSV files. I experienced issue with number format cells. In my CSV file there is one column that presents latitude values in format: 52.05456464. When I open my CSV file in Excel 2013 all values in that column get separator
".", in this case my number is present like this: 52.054.454.464. I tried to change my cell format, and when opened the category was Number, I change it to the General but in that case I lost all "." and got 52054454464.
I also tried to open same file on other machine with Excel 2010 and file is opened correctly without issues and in cell format the category is general by default.
I hope that there is some kind of resolution for this.

According to your description, we may follow these steps:
highlight the column B > Home Tab > Number section > Select Number and choose "More Number Format" > Make sure the Negative number is chosen correctly. If you are using Custom format, we will have to change it.

Issue with Building OLAP Cubes in Project Server 2010

There is some issue with while building OLAP cubes.
I have created OLAP cube then successfully cube has builded. When i add resource level custom field which has lookup tables values in ASSIGNMENT CUBE then getting cube failure meesage.
I deleted and recreated custom field and lookup table but no luck

Is the SQL Server and Analysis Server are running on different servers and not on default ports?
If yes, then check if the same alias’s name added in Project Server is added on the Analysis Server.

Issue with number/contact details showing on new iPhone

Hi I'm having an issue with numbers. Myself & my mum both have iPhones. My Mum had previous phone (not iPhone), she purchased an iPhone & ported her old number across. before she ported we were texting each other on the new iPhone number. Now she has ported her old number to iphone, when she texts me it still shows the number she got with iphone, not her contact name or original ported number which I have saved, however if she calls me it does show her contact name & not the number. When I text or call her contact in my phone she does get it, however message sends as txt message not iMessage (iMessage is active on both phones) hope this all makes sense. can anyone help at all?

Exchange 2013 issue with High memory Usage on Mailbox server post SP1 update.

So we have been chugging along fine since Feb 2 2014.
I performed a migration from 2010 from the UK to the US doing "incremental" mailbox moves. (get in contact with me if you want to know how. But we moved 400 Mailboxes averaging at 2gb a piece from the UK to the US, over the transcontinental link.
& then the weekend of the final, had everyone & everything done by the end of the cutover weekend)
Any woot.
So I applied the 2013 SP1 a few weeks back, & have intermitantly been alerted to the memory spiking over 95%. For me (and for any exchange admin) when i get those types of alerts i drop everything & run to the nearest PC to see what is going on.
Now the first & second time, it was an issue with logs filling up the drives, & my clean log script not running to remove any logs older than 30 days. But since then it has been legitimate 95%+ memory usage.
For the most part its been 95-97 max, with 1 or 2 times hitting 98. After some time, the memory does drop back down to 94.
this is ....umm "fine" however it is becoming a nuisance, since most of the time it corrects itself. What i dont want to happen is get into the groove of saying "ah bah! its nothing" & letting it go.
the server has 16gb of memory in it, it is the Mailbox server (CAS /Frontend is on a seperate server)
below is a screen shot, so i know the Storeworker grabs whatever it feels like grabbing, however it does NOT EVER release memory. I also see the NodeRunner.exe (2 of them) is always around 900 almost a MB
now if i could somehow get the first 2 Storeworkers to drop down to 900ish, then that should alleviate my memory issues.
what I am m looking for is some type of "magic bullet" to put my memory issues at ease..

thats the problem & seems to be a misconception.
Exchange NEVER releases the memory when other things need it. As the users state in your thread you linked. (i came across that early in my search for a resolution). An example is if another admin & myself log into the backend server at the same
time & begin clicking around opening things, etc..Memory will go to 100% which = No Buenos.
There are numerous post all over the internet from people who say it releases, but them 5 more comments to that 1 saying that it does not.
I know what the process's do, however it seems like the SP1 has increased memory usage, as typically the Store.exe would only grab about 900-1000.
in terms of the noderunner, once again i know its role, however we are now 2 months+ live on 2013 post migration, I do not think it is still indexing all those emails.

Since Nov 11 we have very big issues with our emails received via exchange server. Part of them are empty

Since Nov 11 all Iphone and Ipad of our company have very big issues with email synchronization. We all synchronized with Exchange server.
In the past nobaody had issue.
Some of our users have IOS 6 and others IOS 5
Messages arrived empty and it is impossible to download them.
Nobody is able to answer ????
I have the same issue with my personnal Ipad synchronized with exchange also.

This resolution have to attend at the server not with the ios device. My employer's mail administrator reject me to correct it from the server. As his concern is, if ither ios devices works why don't mine? So I am helpless than changing my iphone. It works fine for early versions of ios and with androids. And also one of my friends iphone4 with ios 7 (similar as mine) works too. So I guess it's something wrong with my iPhones settings. But basic question I cannot understand is it works in my phone before this ios7 upgrading. And currently working with my yahoo account too. Favourable reply expected.

Issues with Deploying Struts application on Weblogic Server 10.3.3

We are trying to deploy a web application on Weblogic 10.3 server domain. The configuration is we have 2 physical boxes with one box running an Admin Server and one managed Server and the other box running only a Managed server. Both these servers are in one cluster. When we deploy a Struts 2 web application on this domain, it works as expected on the managed server running on the same box and Admin server. However, when we do the same action on the managed server, we get an error. In the application we are using Interceptor and the error we see in the log file is Action Interceptor Result ---exception.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as we have been struggling with this for a few days.

Sounds to me as if you are saving the users' uploaded images somewhere in your application's directory structure - which is going to get blown away each time you redeploy. Why not store uploaded images in a database (there are blogs showing how to upload and display images to/from a DB in ADF if you don't know how). If you search {forum:id=83}, you can find them easily.

Issue with SQL Developer connect to SQL server

I'm using "SQL Developer 2.1.1.64.45" to work on a migration project which needs to convert a SQL server database to a Oracle 11g database. But I got an issue when I setup the SQL server connection. The SQL Developer let me connect by selecting a SQL server database name (For example: Northwind), but once connected, it always connected to "master" database instead. The "SQL Developer" is running on Windows 7 Professional (x64) platform. My Oracle database is 11g, and SQL server database is SQL 2005. And my SQL server instance name is "SQL2005". Anyone have ever experienced this problem? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the feedback, lets stick with SQL Developer 3.
Correct me if I'm wrong,
You attempted to migrate from SQL Server to Oracle including target generation and datamove in one go, by filling in each step of the migration wizard to the end.
During the datamove you got
ORA-01000:maximum open cursor exceeded
So it looks like SQL Developer during the migration is not closing cursors fast enough and hits the maximum number of open cursors in your Oracle database.
I think the default max open cursors is 300 in Oracle.
There are a few things we can do here.
You should be able to see the new migration project in your Migration Projects navigator.
By navigating down the project tree to "Converted Database Objects" we can attempt the data move again by right clicking and choosing "Data Move".
But first I would restart SQL Developer so as to free up any lingering open cursors.
That may allow you to complete the data move, as the only cursors being open are being used in the data move and not some cursors which may have been left open from previous steps in the migration.
Now from my perspective I would like to identify where are we leaving open the cursors, so I'm going to setup some testcases my end to see if I can replicate.
From your perspective Id presume you just want to move on with the migration.
So if the above (shutdown and attempt just the data move) doesnt workyou could
A) Increase the MAX OPEN CURSORs on your Oracle databases so it complete the data move
or
B) Use the offline data move technique.
A) Increase MAX OPEN CURSORs
This wiki explains how to do that, looks like 1000 is fairly common, but even a much larger number is not a problem

B) Offline Data Move
If you are moving large amounts of data (say > 1GB), then the standard data move (we call it online), which just uses JDBC to SELECT * FROM and INSERT INTO may not cut the mustard.
In this case you can try using our offline technique. SQL Developer will generate a set of scripts for you.
unload_script.bat will use SQL Servers BCP tool to dump out the table data into DAT files.
oracle_ctl.bat will load the data in the DAT files into Oracle.
As we know the names of all the tables, columns ,both SQL Server and Oracle, we can generate fairly good scripts.
The benefit of this technique is large amounts of data can be migrated and you get to use tools designed to dump data and load in data, so you have better error logging and tweaking.
To attempt this in the Migration Wizard , Data Move page, select offline.
If you can describe your database a bit (number of tables, number of procedures, amount of data to migrate) I may be able to define my testcase better so I can replicate the issue.

Issues with WebDav over SSL via Terminal Server when Accessing SharePoint 2013

We have deployed a terminal server from which multiple users access and heavily use SharePoint 2013 (hosted on a separate server). The SharePoint site is published to the internet and is operating over an SSL certificate. Over the last few months we have
been encountering a randomly occurring issue where all the users become unable to use Open with Explorer or mapped drives to access the site. During this time they can still access the site through the browser OK and download files etc. This issue sometimes
reoccurs every few days, although at points it hasn't occurred for a couple of weeks before resurfacing.
Current Terminal Server Config
TS 2008 R2 Enterprise
Site added to Trusted Sites. (have checked during broken time and still recognized as trusted)
Using IE 11, site added as compatibility view

My test result are below:
Restarting the SharePoint server or the terminal server will resolve the behaviour
until the issue occurs again.
Users on the terminal server can still open the
ttps://clientsite2.harrierhc.com
URL (this url is bound to the same UCC cert) with open with explorer during this time.
While users are unable to access the ttps://clientsite.harrierhc.com
URL, if they access the same site from WebDAV with a separate binding (e.g. ttp://clientsite the behaviour works fine.
All other users not on the terminal server can still use the open with explorer behaviour during this time.
IIS reset on the SP Server & restarting the web client service on the terminal server have no impact
Reimporting the IIS certs have no impact
There are numerous errors in both server’s event logs but none at the time of the issue instigation.
Clearing the IE cached certificates has no impact
Going to IE properties for the site and clicking the ‘Install Certificate’ has no impact

Could you please tel me why the first 8 lines were removed, till <Soap:Body and also added the line <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> in the beggining .
Becuase there will be lot of XML files will be coming from the Vendor daily and that should be uploaded in the application server and should update in the SAP tables based on the data in the XML file.
what information i need to give to vendor that do not add the first 8 lines in the XML file and add the line in the beggining <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>   ??????
Is there any other way we can do with out removing the lines?

Issue with number of lines in Table control for an web transaction in ITS

Hi,
We have acustom web transaction ZC03 where we have used table controls. Recently a kernal patch has been installed and after that the number of lines appearing in table control has got changed. Earlier table control was coming with 5 lines and presently its coming with 3 lines. Can you please help me to fix the issue.
The code used in HTML template for table controi is given below:
`SAP_DynproLayerBegin(005,013,067,006)`
`SAP_TableControl("TC_TIME1")`
`SAP_DynproLayerEnd()`
I have tried other alternatives like `SAP_DynproTableControl("TC_TIME1")`, `D_TableControl("TC_TIME1') but did n't get any fruitful result also.

What where the precise Kernel updates? What where you on and what did you upgrade too?
Did you apply any BASIS Support Pack corrections during the Kernel upgrade?

Issue with Service PO Process in Production Server

Hi,
We are doing the Process of Service PO. First create Service Master through AC01 with Material Group 603010. Now during Service PO, by mistake we insert Material Group 605010 inplace of 603010 in PO line item...After that GR has been done... Till no issue happened...
Now during MIRO, system showing an error message Enter G/L Account... There is an Account Assignment Issue occurs...
THIS PROCESS WAS IN DEVELOPMENT SERVER...
BUT in Production Server, during MIRO Process, why this error not showing by system... What should be issue here...
Please guide...

Symptom
You use transaction MIRO "Enter Incoming Invoice" to enter an invoice
with reference to a purchase order with multiple account assignments. On the multiple account assignment screen of the invoice item, you deselect all the account assignments and select one account assignment without a quantity. The system issues error message M8 054: "Enter a G/L account". This is incorrect.

Issue with Oracle MTS installation in windows server 2008

Hi Team,
Yesterday, I have installaed oracle client version 11.1.0.7, selected microsoft transaction server option and installed it in my middle tier server.
Start->program->Oracle home11g-> (Searched for oracle mts, its not available) It seems oracle client version needs ODAC to be installed (Is it correct? )
I have downloaded from oracle site. But, its throwing an error like the file is not in proper format.
1 Any special settings needs to be done for installing the MTS in windows server 2008?
2. I need to create a service in MTS to point to my database server?
3. Please share me some relative links on the same.
4. I can see MTS recovery services is running in my machine.
5. Previously, I have installed Oracle 10G client and removed it and am trying with oracle 11g. Just I have uninstalled the application and I didnt do anything. Do we need to remove anything in the registry.
This issue is very critical for me. Please share your thoughts.

Issue with OLAB Cube Reports. Database Server in VPC Private Subnet

Hi,
Environment:
Deployed Project Server 2010 with 2 server Architecture( 1 for Web/Front end server and 1 for DB Server) on Amazon VPC. Web server is on Public subnet and Database server is on
Private subnet.
Issue:
We have sucessfully configured OLAP Cubes and able to view reports within the app server. But when we try to access the same reports over the internet site and outside of cloud domain, excel is not able to connect DB server using .odc connection and Pivot
tables or data are not loading.
Solutions tried:
Opened all necessary ports in DB server for SQL Server-1433, Analysisc Service-2383 & 2382 and Browser Service - 1434. But still no luck.
So with this setup of Project Server, is it possible to access OLAP Cube reports out side of Cloud newtwork? If yes, how can we make this work?

Hi Ram,
I am not sure if it will work then as the client machine will try to find the Analysis Services(AS) server which is not available over the internet. You can try to open the needed ports through the firewall and configure a subdomain to point to your AS and
this should be available over the internet (e.g. analysisServices.domain.com). However, this is a potential security breach and may be not be allowed by your company policies.
However, I would go with the option I mentioned in my previous answer as this way the users can run the reports and the reports can be configured using that cloud machine
