Issue with PDF links and opened Adobe files
I have tested and IE 8 opens correct links inside PDF's.
When I open link in Mozilla or Chrome it will not work.
Is this related to Adobe Plugin which is installed inside Add-ons?
Strange is that link inside PDF shows the following link:resource://pdf.js/web/
After checking support issues there was quoted in the past:
The current Firefox 27 beta release still doesn't show the links properly using version 0.8.641, but the current Aurora 28.0a2 build does show the links to the Appendices properly using version 0.8.759.
So that would mean that when Firefox 28 gets released in March it will work for users with this Firefox version.
This is likely a problem with the way those links are coded in the PDF file, so the file may have to be saved again using different settings to make it work with PDF Viewers other than the Adobe Reader.

Using Thunderbird/Firefox - since last upgrade, issues with HTML emails and opening PDF
Since last upgrade, it seems that I'm having 2 (maybe 3) problems:
1) emails have white/grey horizontal lines in the bottom half of the email's text or graphics
2) can't open pdf files - when I could without issue before upgrade
3) Adobe Reader - I've downloaded updates, but they won't install. (says not compatible with my computer, but running Mac OSX 10.6.8 (I even downloaded Opera brower to see if that would work, but there still seem to be Adobe issues)

Hopefully they all wound up in Home/Library/Fonts. You can safely delete everything in there, as OS X does not put anything in that folder. Fonts part of the OS are

Issues with PDF Converter and InDesign files
I am trying to convert InDesign files to PDF. However I get the follow error message during the check-in process. Can anyone please help?
Step InDesignToPDF forced conversion failure by conversion engine because of error: 'Unable to convert, the printer 'IDC PDF Converter' is not printing to 'c:/temp/idcoutput.ps'.'.

Issue with "previous recipients" and "open recent"
Hi,
When I upgraded my MacBook Pro, I had to manually copy my user folder to my new Mac and I think it's causing a problem with file permissions.
The main issues of that, is every time I quit an app, my "open recent" list is emptied (and it's not linked with the new system in 10.6 in the global preferences). And the second, is that no new "previous recipients" are added in Mail.
Has anyone a clue on what I can do?

JSF Navigation issue with Webcenter OC4J and Open Portal JSF Bridge
Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody had experienced the same issue as per below:
I have a problem using the Open Portal JSF Portlet Bridge within a oracle webcenter OC4J. I have a trivial application with 2 jsps. The first has a single button, which when pushed navigates to the second screen.
This app works fine as a stand alone web app and also via the Oracle Faces Bridge using the OC4J. However, when I deploy using the jsfportletbridge 1.1.4 (I'm using the JSF 1.1) - it will not navigate from the first page. It simply refreshes the first page when clicked.
It looks like there is a problem with navigation. I have traced out the application (which I will include in full below), however the entries which looked relevant were (this occured after the first page was rendered):

It looks like your application doesn't make use of a JSF binding layer, so it should be enough to initialize a Faces lifecycle listener like this:

If you do not have the proper classes defined in portlet.xml, then you will receive a missing class error. You specify the classes in the BridgeLifecycleListeners init-param in your portlet.xml file:

Issue with ODI 11g and Fixed width files
Hi to everyone,
i've got a problem with a flat file with fixed length fields. I delcared all correctly(it seems) and in the data preview i see the correct data, unfortunatly when i lounch my interface execution i receive an error telling that the dimension of the last filed is more than the declared one. It looks like he is not able to understand the end of the record that is the normale "0D0A".
And i have also another question, anyone knows why inside my ODI Desiner i see always the same file also if i try to change the data inside? Is it a problem of release or some bug? Have i forgot to configure something in some place?

Adobe Reader Splash--I have a PDF file that whenever I try to open it suggests using Adobe Reader with a link to download Adobe Reader. I can't get beyond this. I have made Preview the default for all PDF's and yet this persists. I have also deleted Adobe Reader. This particular file is a portfolio, btw.
I have similar issue. Did u find an answer?

Adobe Reader open a PDF embed with a Link to Open another PDF
HI,
I have a online web program. The browser use Adobe reader to open a PDF. In ths PDF, it has a link to point a file that store in Server. When click this link to open the file, the link file can open, but the original PDF screen will turn to grey. I need to press F5 to reload the original PDF.
The verion of Reader 9, it does not have this problem. Reader X or XI have this problem.
I already try to set the parameters on "Preference" of the reader , but it is useless.
What is the problem.

When a linked .pdf is clicked, it downloads rather than following the link and opening in another safari window.
Thanks for the tip, but I had already tried this and it did not help. The File still downloads and , at the same time, a new Safari window opens - but the Safari window is blank.

but this deals with Safari 5.1 which evidently has a problem with Adobe Reader.
I am using Safari 5.0, so the suggested solutions do not apply. ( I tried them anyway, but they did not work.) -
Problem with PDF, link in website doesn't find the adobe
We are using Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8 and Adobe Reader 9.0.
There is a website with a link to open the dokument with adobe. But when we take a klick on this link adobe isn't found. The format of the file is any file and there only cryptical sign in the file, which would be open. Please - I need help!I have the same problem - shocked that this hasn't been addressed by Adobe or Microsoft. It began with recent updates. Adobe Reader will not open a .pdf file on the web. I sometimes get the following dialog but mostly I get a blank screen with "Done" in the status bar.
If I open a .pdf from my hard drive I get a message about protected mode. If I click on the link in the message, I get Adobe instructions about turning off protected mode - but it is already turned off. If i cancel that message i can open a local .pdf. -

I've checked Reader, and there are no updates. I've run a Windows version compatibility test - although it only goes up to Vista, and not Windows 7.
Anyway, it appears I can now open Adobe files - but I've found another issue: when I right-click on a file and scroll down to the 'send to email recipient', it doesn't automatically open an Outlook email with the file as an attachment - in fact it doesn't open Outlook at all, let alone automatically?
Any clues? -

I never use the Intel side, and have never partitioned the MacBook Pro.

Issue with Dynamic Link with Premiere CC and After Effects
I'm having a strange and annoying issue with Dynamic linked clips in Premiere CC:
When I render or export my timeline the progress will stall when it hits a dynamic linked clip. It will stay stalled until I click the After Effects application and make it the active window. Once that happens the render/export resumes at normal speed.
This is annoying as I can't start a render and walk away or work on different windows, I have to babysit all the renders to make sure they go through.
Has anybody experienced this and know of any solutions?
I'm running the latest version of Premiere (7.2.1) and After Effects 12.2.0.52 on Mavericks 10.9.1 with a GTX 770 Video Card.Does it still pause if AE is closed completely? I often experience slower AME renders from Premiere over dynamic link material when AE is open. Closing AE speeds things up. Go figure.
