Issue with time/date change.

Hello,
I'm having issues after changing the time/date zone settings, after I change the time zone (new setting), apperently it is correctly saved while exit (it prompts), but when I return to see the time/date settings once again, the timezone remains the same as the old setting.
I've tried by changing the source type: Blackberry, Network or Off but its the same.
What can i do to solve this? firmware update?

Ok, I was at the Apple Genius Bar yesterday, and among other things to address my frequent beachball concerns, the Genius repaired disk permissions and reset network settings.
I checked the automagic time/date/time zone settings, and it worked perfectly.
I get home, and the MacBook thinks I'm back in Rexford, Idaho again, throwing off my time zone and time. Argh!

Table - Issue with Logging Data Changes

Hi Experts,
My client's requirement is to log data changes happened in a table which is critical. I've selected 'Log data changes' check box in technical settings of the table. Now, I'm able to see log for all the changes i did after that. But, I'm facing following issues. Kindly help me in fixing the same.
1. The table is having two fields with same data element. In the change log SCU3, under the field name, field label mentioned in the data element is getting displayed. As, the data element is same for two fields, its difficult to find out which particular field is changed. Is there any way to display table field name instead of field label from data element?
2. Sometime, even there is change in the data record, I'm able to see a log record in the change log with caption 'Data record unchanged'. What might be the problem and how to resolve?

You just use ABAP to change the table P? In this way I think it is not change to X table.
You can upload master data to add navigation,it is a good way to bulid the SID of P table and X
table .

Issue with Master data change workflow in GRC PC 10.1

Hi,
I have configured the work flow for master data changes in GRC PC 10.1, however approver is not able to view the request in inbox where are the organization owner is able to see the review for change request in inbox.
Please let me know if there is any config where we need to set the approvers for workflow, so that the system creates a request for approver.

Please, check the following configuration:
1. Activate the workflow (Path: SPRO -> GRC -> Shared Master Data Settings -> Activate Master Data Changes)
2. See whether Checkbox "Approval" is ticked for the selected entity
3. If you activate master data changes, please check whether the correct roles are indicated in the Maintain Custom Agent Determination Rules in the Workflow settings.
Business Event: 0FN_MDCHG_APPR
Role: Select the role you gave to the approver
After performing this configuration, a task must appear in the work inbox.

Issues with Master Data Change Run after upgrade 7.3.1

We have upgraded to 7.3.1 on both our BW and ECC clients. When we first run out change run in BW it chose to drop and rebuild aggregates
on changes that usually don't cause a drop and rebuild. They usually do a delta.
Has anyone had this issue once upgraded?
We looked at our performance setting in SPRO for aggregates and the settings have not changed.

I loaded data for 0Material, 4 fields are not getting populated....when I checked in R/3 base table and RSA3, I am able to see data for those 4 fields. But in PSA and 0MATERIAL I am not seeing data for those fields.
THose 4 fields are Z fields mapped to Standard fields in MARA table.
As you say you can see the values of these fields in RSA3, We can rule out that the fields arent hidden. Check the mapping on the BI side, do you have all the Zinfoobjects added to the Omaterial and the corresponding mapping of source fields to target fields.
0CUSTOMER_ATTR has some data...I added new field in datasource as well as in BW also. After creating transformation I executed the DTP, it is throwing same error in every data package
"Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist".
Load till PSA is Init with data transfer and DTP is delta.
there are some duplicate records in the master data values that are coming in. You can manually change them in PSA and load. And if you are sure the duplicated records can be dropped, you can tick the HANDLE DUPLICATE RECORDS in DTP - update tab

PDF file size grows each time form is saved (with no data changes). Why?

I have an SAP Adobe form (PDF) and we are seeing a difference in the Save behavior between when it is viewed in Adobe Reader vs. the adobe plug-in(?) for Internet Explorer.
When the form is viewed in Internet Explorer, every time the user saves the form the file size grows (even with no data changes in the form - i.e., open the form, hit save). This is not true if the form is opened in Adobe Reader.
The form in question has multiple pages but the only fields directly bound to the SAP source are a handful of identifiers (e.g., order number) and a dynamic table. It appears from our testing that the more entries in the table when the form is created, the greater the size increase each time the file is saved. The table length is not changed after the form is first generated.
Is there a known difference in the behavior of Adobe Reader vs. the browser plug-in which would account for this difference? Our users have Adobe Reader X installed on their machines.

If this is an XFA form, as opposed to an Acroform, you should ask in the LiveCycle Desiger forum or a more relevant LiveCycle forum.

I am having a issue with getting data useage alerts for my iphone 4s

I am having a issue with getting data useage alerts for my iphone 4s from AT&T. I do not download anything huge at all.
I looked into it and figured out that the phone dials out nightly at 12:29am every night. I went into my settings and went to general..about..diagnostics and useage..then diagnostics and useage data to see this. I then clicked don't send...but I am still getting useage alerts. Can anyone help me please...

Honestly, from reading the thread linked, they all come off as a bunch of whiney people that cannot be bothered to help themselves.
Little to nothing in that thread indicates an issue beyond inept consumers. Yes, I read several pages on the incessant gripes. Very few made any actual attempts to troubleshoot issues before whining about the "Apple issue" and those that did actual troubleshooting got their issues resolved.
So no, Apple has nothing to fix beyond a few specific devices that are experiencing hardware issues.
If you have actually put forth effort and done the basic troubleshooting, take the device to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement. Whining will get nothing accomplished.

I have a client who has recently upgraded from V2007 to V8.81. They were succesfuly using this standard function to import supplier prices to their master price list, but now it has failed?
I have looked at the file they are importing and it appears to be fine.
On closer inspection, it did contain approx 46,000 entries, so I took the first 1,000 and created a test file, which imported fine.
The only issue I found was Speed, with the test file of 1,000 records taking about 30 Mins to import. This appeared to get slower and slower the further through the file it got!
Based on this, I have estimated that the whole file would takle about 13 hours to import. The client say that when they used to run it on version 2007 it was far quicker?
In practice, it does appear to run, but the speed is the issue. Having said this, I set the whole file to run last night (over night)and this morning it had appeared to hang after about 2,307 rows, with nothing else being updated.
Has anyone any ideas or is aware of performance issues like this?

I have uploaded a copy of their database onto my test system and run the same routine. Its equally as SLOW
I can't gauage if its an issue with 8.81 that 2007 didn't have, as I only have the client's word on it, however I have no reason to disbelieve them.

Issue with 2LIS_02_SCL Data source

Hi Everybody,
I am facing the below 2 issues with 2lis_02_scl data source,
1) This is fetching only the records ETENR (Delivery Schedule Line Counter) value with ' 1 ', It is ignoring others ex:2,3 and 4. Hence Data is not reconciling with ECC system.
2) The standard field GLMNG is not getting any data, Data was existed in table(EKET) level. So i have written the code and data is coming now. But the problem is, This is not considering the ROCANCEL indicator it seems. All the other key figures values are coming in with Negative sign When ROCANCEL Value is ' X ' or ' R ', But this field is getting all the positive values irrespective of ROCANCEL indicator. Hence showing the incorrect values compared to the ECC.
Can anybody help me on this,

CVC creation - Strange issue with Master data table of 9AMATNR

Hi Experts,
We have encountered a strange issue with Master data table (/BI0/9APMATNR) of info object 9AMATNR.
We have a BADI implemented for checking the valid Characteristic before creation of the CVC using transaction /SAPAPO/MC62. This BADI puts a select on master data tab of material /BI0/9APMATNR and returns no value. But the material actually exists in the table (checked through SE16).
Now we go inside the info object 9AMATNR and go to the Master data Tab. There we go inside the master table
/BI0/9APMATNR and activate that. After activating the table it is read by the select statement inside BADI (Strange) and allows the CVC to be created.
Ideally it should not allow us to activate the SAP standard table /BI0/9APMATNR. I observed that in technical settings of this table it has single record buffering as switched on. (But as per my knowledge buffer gets refreshed every 2 to 4 mins and not in 2 days or something).

Try to use a WAIT statment with 5 seconds before your select statment.

Serious issues with Timer when RunTimeExceptions are thrown in TimerTask

Hi All,
I am facing serious issues with Timer and TimerTask.
Runtime exceptions thrown in TimerTask kill that one thread, thus making Timer dead i.e. scheduled tasks will not run anymore. Is there any way we can overcome this with Timer or it is just not possible?
I used try, catch blocks in TimerTask for RunTimeExceptions but no luck. Timer is not running any more once TimerTask throws any exceptions. Why it is not able to catch them? Is this known issue with Timer?
I am using Java 1.5.0_08.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Is this known issue with Timer?It's perfectly possible for you to catch a RuntimeException, in a TimerTask or anywhere else. If you were thinking that there is a language feature or something which makes catching exceptions work differently in a TimerTask, you weren't thinking right. Your code is just wrong.

TenFourFox issues with computer date/time

I had an interesting problem tonight which I fixed and can replicate whenever I feel like. On my old Powermac I run TenFourFox which is what I assume most are doing.
The battery in my Powermac needs to be replaced, but I almost never unplug the computer so I'm never worried about the computers time, as it is always right.
Tonight I had to unplug it and when I started it up I got the "wrong time" notice but I mostly ignorred it. Everything worked well and then I tried using TenFourFox...it was an utter disaster.
It was slow, unreponsive and overall unuseable to say the least. After a lot of thinking I set the time right and it worked again, as it had before.
So after this I set the time wrong again and sure enough, TenFourFox before unuseable.
Does anyone know if there are any known issues with TenFourFoxx in the department? Could someone else try this? (Just set your clock back a few days and try to open TenFourFox)
I'm curious if I've found an issue with the app because I know for a fact ti's not hardware issues.

Running v 5.0 here, no problem in TFF changing the Time backwards, but Safari wouldn't work here until I cleared the Caches.
Some Servers are Date/Time critical & consider anything trying to connect reporting the Time off by more than a minute will refuse connections.

We are having problems where ALE-BOM sent with change in validity date (with change no) to a particular item. What happens is that ALE-BOM will instead update ALL! items with the same validity date and change number.
Next,when we process ALE again for the same BOM with a different validity date(with change no), then only that
particular item is updated with validity date and change no.
Would anyone know what could be the problem that when changes are sent for the first time all items are updated?

The error itself telling you the correction. You profit center which is assigned to your cost center has a validity date less than the one you are now assigning.You can check in KE52 against the profit center assigned to your cost center master data. However the best thing is to go to KS01 and create this cost center with desired validity date.
This will resolve your issue.

Issues with Prompts date

I have created two date calender prompts from the same date column of the time dimension 'from date' and 'to date' and saved those into Presentation variables.
I have to show 'amount' into one column(say opening amount) if transaction date is before 'from date'. and into another column (say debit) when transaction date is after 'from date'.When in criteria tab I try to enter the formula something like (case when transaction_date > @{from_date} then amount end) it is giving me error.
nQSError: 46030] Field descriptor id 0 is beyond the maximum field count 0
Can anyone has come across the same issue?

Please don't change anything to OBIEE.
You must do the difference between the data type date and date format.
When you create a dashboard prompt with a date column and you set up a presentation variable. The presentation variable take the same data type. It become a date.
The format is specifically the work of BI Presentation service to take this date and to transform it in the way that want the user (depending of the language).
What I would say, is that you must set up in the default value of the filter also a date (and therefore not a character).
Unfortunately when you enter this :
DAY is greater than or equal to @{from_date}{1990/6/6}Obiee see it as a character
And what I have discover is that if you want a date the cast function don't follow the format depending of the configuration, you have to use this format :
DAY is greater than or equal to @{from_date}{cast('1990-06-06' as date)}In this way, you will have two datea where the format change when you change the local definition (to French for instance) in your account profile.
You can also use this form :

Touch messing with Time/Date

I have a 32 GB Touch, purchased relatively recently. Lately, I've noticed that it keeps changing the time and date, nearly invariably back to December 1969 or January 1970. The actual clock time is close, but typically off by a few hours. I've done multiple resets and restored the iPod at least 3 times since I first noticed the behavior. What seems to happen is that everything works OK for a few days until I need to recharge the battery. After taking the Touch off the charger, the time and date are changed back to the dawn of time.
It appears others here have observed this problem, but I haven't seen any solution posted. I probably should take the Touch in to my nearest Apple store. Undoubtedly they will replace it, but I'm growing weary of reloading the whole thing, which takes several hours.
Any other ideas before this goes back to the Daisy Hill iPod Farm?

I recently experienced this issue as well, and was able to fix it with little difficulty. Here's what I did.
1. Disconnect your iPod from the computer.
2. Make sure that the time and date on your computer is correct.
3a. In iTunes, go to Edit => Preferences => Syncing.
3b. You should see your device listed there, along with that same $#%& incorrect date and time. Select it and press "Remove Backup".
4. Close out of and reopen iTunes.
5. Reconnect your iPod. It will create a new backup to replace the one you just deleted, with the (hopefully) correct date and time, and your iPod's date and time will change to mirror that of your computer's.
