Issue with Varable entry

I have a variable with Multiple single values for PO.When I give the values for more than 10000 values,the query gives an SQL error.Any one have an idea how can I run the query.

Hi,
you need to limit the restrictions. As in your case with 10000s of values for the restriction the sql statement generated out of this will be to big and the query will cause a short dump. Check st22 for that.

Hi,
you should be able to assign a dynamic value with global entry lists as well. If you say @myParam as dynamic value. VC will indicate in red letters, that the field @myParam is unknown. However, it will work, as long as @myParam is known in the form or table where you use the entry list.
I have never heard of the problem that entry lists are emptied after "insert"-event.

Issue with Variable Entry in BI 7.0

Hi,
I am having an issue with the variable entry in BI 7.0 Version. Here is a brief background.
--- In BW 3.x, when we define a variable with <b>Single Value Option</b>, you can enter the value manually in the pop-up selection screen or select from the dropdown of possible values.
---But in 7.0 when i try to enter the value manually in the selection screen its opening the dropdown list, and is not giving me the option to enter a value manually. I am entering a valid single value in selection.
Is this a bug or do i have to make any specific settings to correct my issue?

When the selection screen pops up choose the KEY only function on the TOOLS on the top right corner of the screen. Then you will be able to enter the values manually.

Issue with SM21 entries.

Hi Gurus,
   I am facing soem prblems with the entries in SM21 of my BW server.
    I can see only the following entry what ever be the Date and Time i specify.

And i can see entries only with the current date and can't see entries in SM21 with the past date.
Please guide me what the issue is and help me in resolving the issue.

Syslog is used for logging selected events and problems within SAP system.
Information is written into text files that are saved at operating level. Exact location can be identified with the help of system parameter DIR_LOGGING.
In SE38 tcode, when you run the report RSPARAM you will find some parameters:
rslg/local/file: Name of local file can be identified with this parameter.
When maximum limit of this file is reached new file is created and old file is saved in the system at OS level. Location of this file can be identified by the parameter rslg/local/old_file.
You can try to check the same from that.
System log is wriiten for every instance separately.

There is issue with notication dropdown and calender app in ios 7 which was not present in ios 6. The notification sync birthdays from contacts but only birthdays and not anniversaries.
same is with the calender app
what is the solution for this?

The problem is not with the phone per se. The problem is with Android 4.0 and your TB does not have 4.0. Because this phone is the "gold standard" of development for Android 4.0 it makes sense to report the problem here. If Verizon takes notice they will push the bug report up the food chain until some developer at Google or Samsung decides to fix it.

Issue with Service Entry Sheet

Hi All,
I have one issue like User has created a Service entry sheet against purchase order and he has accepted the SES and at that time GR has been created for this SES and after that he has deleted the SES with out revoking the SES ( I could not understand how he has deleted) and Now GR is hanging in the system.
Is there any way to delete(Cancel) this GR?

IF SES cancelled. Now clear the accounting document manually in F.13.
Note-1:The revoke & Delection of SES is done in T.code:ML81N, Click on other purchase order. Enter the Entry sheet/Purchase order number you want to cancel. Then the details will be copied, then click on change and then click on revoke acceptance icon.Now if u want to delete the SES, after revoking SES click on Delete icon, So that the SES will get deleted.

Calendar Sync Issue With repeating entry deletions Notes 8.5 to BB

I have an issue where when synchronizing may calendar with Lotus Notes version 8.5, the Blackberry will delete repeating entries. Specifically, if I load the Blackberry with all my calendar entries from Notes and then in one entry in my Notes calendar a "single" occurance of a meeting gets canceled .. the next time I sync with the Blackberry it deletes "all" occurances of that meeting from the BB. The entries remain correct on Lotus Notes. The only way I can seem to fix that is to reset sync setting and reload the calendar to the BB all over again, and then this occurs again .... this happens with both V5 and V6 of the BB Desktop Software. Has anyone seen this and is there a fix ?

Issue with Blog entry length

Okay, so i create a blog with pictures that are very long (several pictures made into one in photoshop). When i'm editing the blog entry in iWeb, everything looks fine. When i view it in the browser the page cuts off half way and moves the next and previous buttons up to where it cuts off. In iWeb i set the page length to be 4000pixels, which is more than enough...but it doesn't show up that way in the browser.
My solution right now is to open the html file in dreamweaver and change the length pixels to 3000, which works fine. The problem is that anytime i do work in iWeb, it'll automatically save it back to it's version...so i'd have to change every blog entry every time i do anything to the website! WHAT A PAIN!!!
Anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution? Is Apple listening? FIX THE BUGS!

This seems totally illogical to me, because if the picture is in the body, the footer should come after the body. I should have to extend a footer to have an entire picture in the body show up.
Either way, i obviously did it (because all your other advice is accurate), and of course it works....sort of.
Okay, so now i CAN see the entire picture, however, Next and Previous still show up mid way through the picture. yet in the editor they are under the picture. SO, i thought i'd just drag them down a ways and sort of gage how much extra space is needed. So in the editor there would be a huge gap under the picture before these arrows show up. Unfortunately, this didn't work, the next and previous buttons still who up mid way over the picture. GAH?
Is there a fix for this? I haven't really bothered playing around with it, 'cause i spent soo much time last night trying to figure out why adding another blank page caused all my other pages to alter.

Issue with Service Entry Sheet Acceptance

I am running into an issue when accepting service entry sheets. Here is the scenario
I created 6 service master records and assigned unique valuation classes to each one of them . Each valuation class determines unique G/L account in Inventory postings ( Tcode OBYC-GBB)
I am creating a service entry sheet for these 6 service master records against a PO and accepting with different dollar value for each of the records. When I check PO, I can see only one line in Material document being generated with a cumulative dollar value from 6 records being posted to G/L in the PO ( I was expecting one Material doc with 6 different lines with postings made to individual G/L account mentioned in the Config)
What am I missing in the config/data setup which is triggering postings to account in PO instead of individual accounts from OBYC setup

For service procurement( which is without material master) ,the account determination for service or without material master,the G/L accounts are assigned with service group/material group where you defined material group in OMSF and then material group link it with valuation class in OMQW.
In OBYC ,_no valuation class needed for Service with WRX key_.Use t.code: OBYC, Enter Chart of Account. Now & Double click WRX,, in next screen ,click RULES in application tool bar & then in next screen do not select check box of valuation class & save.
Now come back & Use t.code: OBYC, Enter Chart of Account, Double click WRX & enter your G/L account ONLY for GR/IR Clearing(for service)save.
The accounting entries are for service procurement are:
The accounting entry after SES released
*Service Procurement(KBS): Dr
GR/IR Clearing-service( WRX): Cr
The accounting entry after MIRO posting:
GR/IR Clearing(service): Dr
Vendor Account: Cr
The *Service Procurement account triggered during SES released bcuz of the same G/L account you entered during creation of PO/SO with cost center( check PO account assignment TAB in PO item details)

Spend Performance Management - Issues with OPM_SOURCES entries

We have replicated and activated our datasources after installing them at the ECC side. However, there are no entries created in the OPM_SOURCES table. Is there a manual mean to create those entries. What else can we do to trouble shoot this?
Also, will the above step be a bottleneck in loading data from the UI?

Workflow issue with Service Entry Sheets

I wonder if you can help. We currently use workflow for the approval of service entry sheets. Whenever they are approved we get an email in our workflow master account which states : The work item "Exception in Workflow for Entry Sheet 1000XXXXXX" (ID 000004014168) of type B has the status ERROR. Initiate a correction measure so that the respective workflow (ID 000004012293) can be continued.
When we go into the Service entry sheet it has a green light and there is no issue, so we just file the email. It's irritating though as we have to check everyone.
Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this or where I could start to look?

Issue with variable entry

Hi,
I have a date variable which is ready for input. On the variable screen it defaults to todays date. When I run the report in Excel it works fine.
However when I run the report in the web browser and I select the date from the drop down, it goes back one day.
For Eg. If I select July 31, 2008 from the drop down and hit OK. July 30, 2008 gets populated into the selection screen.
This does not happen when I execute the report in Excel.

Hi,
You cannot enter the value manually directly in your variable.
You can however enter the value manually in the dropdown list.
There's an input area at the bottom of the dropdown list.
I read somewhere the manual entry in the pop-up selection screen would become available in the future. This document was however not an official document.
For the moment this is the system behaviour.

I know it's possible to define [env-entry] elements in web.xml for environment
properties of a web application. But how do you access [env-entry] elements from
classes that do not exist within a web application? In other words, this is my
problem:
I have an EAR file, enterprise.ear, which contains the following...
employee.jar
employeeSearchEJB.jar
webApp1.war
META-INF/
application.xml
The employee.jar file is a utility archive that contains common classes, one of
which is a class called LogManager. LogManager needs to read environment properties
in order to initialize itself. Currently, LogManager reads these properties from
a property file, and therefore it needs to know the name of the property file
in order to access it. I dont like this approach because I'm forced to hard-code
the name of the property file in LogManager. I would rather leverage the power
of J2EE deployment descriptors and use the [env-entry] element to define the environment
properties for the LogManager class. Then, I would simply use JNDI to get the
values of the [env-entry] elements without ever having to specify their location
aside from the default JNDI context; java:comp/env, which is standard anyway.
The problem I'm having is that you can define the [env-entry] element in only
2 types of deployment descriptors; namely, web.xml and ejb-jar.xml, neither of
which are available to LogManager because LogManager exists at the EAR root level.
I was hoping application.xml supported the [env-entry] element, but it doesn't.
Any suggestions?

I am not sure if this applies to you situation but if you create an initial context
instance and then grab the value using the jndi name within that context then
you should be able to grab that environment variable.
I have a helper class that is used as part of a deployed application. The helper
class doesn't have access to the Servlet context but it is created as part of
the application workflow. When it gets initiated it grabs an env-entry created
in the web.xml deployment descriptor to find the default url for a content path.
After I create an initialContext, I perform a initContext.lookup("jndi.env.entry.here")
where "jndi.env.entry.here" is the name specified in the env-entry tag.
This returns the value of the entry.
This works under both Jrun and Weblogic so my guess is it should work for you.
Again, I am assuming that your class will at least be able to grab a context
object to communicate back to the server.
