Issue with WCF-Custom adapter polling Oracle db

Hi,
I have a scenario where BizTalk connects to Oracle db using WCF-custom adapter with OracleDbBding which has queries at P below properties:
PolledDataAvailableStatement
PollingStatement
PostPollStatement
The interface was working for more than 2 years, but when oracle server is moved from prod to DR server, it started throwing crazy errors.I have gone thru many blogs there seems to no definitive answer or solution for this.
I have been getting below errors:
The adapter "WCF-Custom" raised an error message. Details "The faulted WCF service host at address oracledb:// could not be restarted, and as a result no messages can be
received on the corresponding receive location. BizTalk Server will continue trying to start the service host until it succeeds or the receive location is disabled.
The adapter "WCF-Custom" raised an error message. Details "The faulted WCF service host at address oracledb://xxxxx/?PollingId= could not be restarted, and as a result
no messages can be received on the corresponding receive location. BizTalk Server will continue trying to start the service host until it succeeds or the receive location is
disabled.
To fix the problem, you may choose to:
1. Use the error information given to fix the problem.
2. Restart the receive location.
3. Keep waiting for BizTalk to recycle the service host. Another event will notify if the service host is successfully started.

Looks like it's the Oracle client that can't connect. Can you run any queries from the Oracle tools?

  • Problem with WCF-Custom adapter (WS HTTP Binding with reliable messaaging) - Error event logged, even though transaction completed Sucessfully

    Hi All
I am using WCF-Custom (WS HTTP Binding) with Message security as Windows and using Reliable messaging in the send port. Its a static Port.
Every thing works fine as expected for the interface. ie the transaction is success. After a min of the transaction completion. I am getting the following error
    01. I have not checked Propagate Fault message (as a solution provided in another blog)
    02. Its a static Port
    03. I am using reliable messaging
The below error events are logged in the event viewer
The Message Engine Encountered an error while suspending one or more Messages ( ID 5677)
    Event  ID : 5796
The transport proxy method MoveToNextTransport() failed for adapter WCF-Custom: Reason: “Messaging engine has no record of delivering the message to the adapter. This could happen if MoveToNextTransport() is called multiple times for the same message by
the adapter or if it is called for a message which was never delivered to the adapter by the messaging engine”. Contact the adapter vendor
Should I have log this issue with Microsoft through Service request ? or is there any work around is there. Unfortunate is I cannot remove the reliable messaging from the service.

    Hi,
Is there any solution to this problem?
I am getting the same issue "The transport proxy method MoveToNextTransport() failed for adapter WCF-NetTcp: Reason: "Messaging engine has no record of delivering the message to the adapter.
This could happen if MoveToNextTransport() is called multiple times for the same message by the adapter or if it is called for a message which was never delivered to the adapter by the messaging engine". Contact the adapter vendor"
I checked this link http://rajwebjunky.blogspot.be/2011/09/biztalk-dynamic-request-response-port.html, but
in my case i am not using dynamic port.
In my scenario, i have a number of dehydrated orchestrations that become active every Monday 6:00 AM UTC and make to calls to a WCF service, to spread out the load I have implemented a load distribution logic where orchestrations send request to service
in every 1 minute (not at the same time). but still i get this error sometime.
I have opened a ticket with MS support but thought that someone might have already found the root cause.
Let me know if there is one.
    Thanks,
    Rahul

  • WCF Custom Adapter

    Hi all,
I am facing the below mentioned issue  while configuring the WCF custom Adapter in Biztalk Server 2013
    WCF-Custom Transport Properties
    Error saving properties.
    (System.ArgumentException) Invalid binding.
(System.IO.FileNotFoundException) Could not load file or assembly 'Oracle.DataAccess, Version=2.111.7.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89b483f429c47342' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
    Any one please suggest
    OK

    Dear Biztalk007,
I also faced the same issue but on Biztalk 2010. Here is what I did.
The issue may be three fold. You must have following installed in addition to your stand alone biztalk installation
    1) Biztalk  WCF Adapter pack
    2) Biztalk LOB adapter pack
    3) Appropriate Oracle Client.
But you must take care of the thing that a proper Oracle Client suitable to your needs. I am working on Biztalk 2010 and I intsalled Oracle 11g.
I am pretty sure ,yur error will be resolved after their installation.

  • Can Wcf-Custom Adapter implement Wcf-WebHttp Functionality?

Can the Wcf-Custom adapter implement the same functionality as the Wcf-WebHttp adapter in BizTalk 2013? In particular, can it provide the same functionality as the operation map and the variable map? If not, is there any other way to provide Wcf-WebHttp
functionality without hosting an adapter in IIS with an isolated host?
    Thanks!

    Yes, but...
You can set the mappings on outgoing messages with some new Context Properties.  This describes how to do it on a Dynamic Port, but it should work the same on a static port.
    http://masteringbiztalkserver.wordpress.com/2013/11/11/calling-restful-service-using-dynamic-send-ports-biztalk-2013/
The receive side is a bit different since I'm 97% sure all the mapping happens in the BizTalk Adapter (WS-WebHttp) not any of the binding elements.
However, you can essentially replicate that functionality with a Custom Pipeline Component.  In that case you would use the WCF-Custom Adapter with the webHttpBinding.

  • Issue with JMS inbound Adapter  and Asynchronous BPEL

    Hi Gurus,
I am facing the below issue with JMS inbound Adapter and Asynchronous BPEL .
I have 2 JMS Queues one inbound and one outbound . The Composite has multiple BPEL Components around 4 on an average and i have 4 composites similar to that .
    Totally 4 Composites * 4 BPEL Components = 16 Services
    Propoesd Solution :
I have used MessageSelector in the JMS Adapter for selecting the incoming message. The BPEL gets invoked if the message selector is true and proceses the Message and writes the response to the other Queue.
Initially i had no problems but intermittantly the BPEL processes are getting invoked but they are not processing the data ( Bpel process is supposed to invoke an external service and get the response in a sync call) and each BPEL processe instance is in running state for ever . This remains even if i restart the servers .
The message gets read by the JMS Adapter , BPEL instace gets created but it wont proceed futher and remains in the runnign state for ever.
If i redeploy the Composite then messages get processed but the issue creeps up again ( i tried to checl the logs but ino cluea about the issue .
Getting frustrated day by day tried the bpel.config.transaction, increased the JMS Adapter threads , inreased the worker threads but all in vein..
please let me know if any one has faced similar issue .
Anticipating a quick response from the gurus.
    Lakshmi.

We are also facing this issue in 11.1.1.5.
Breifly the issue is : The BPEL process which polls an inbound JMSAdater ( consume_message) either stays in running state forever ( whatever we do) or go to the recovery queue. It doesnt recover even if i try to recover it. This happens intermittently. Redeploying the application / restarting servers sometime solve the issue but as know we cant do that on prod systems .
Can some one look into this on priority and help us giving a solution/workaround.

  • Issue with Receiver SOAP adapter for synchronous scenario

    Hello All,
We are facing a strange issue with the SOAP adapter in the interface we have setup. This is the 1st time we are using SOAP adapter in our system (PI 7.11 SP7). We are making a synchronous HTTP call to the web service exposed by another system in our landscape. The payload is send with SOAP envelope and there are no credentials to be maintained in PI settings.
The issue is that we are always getting timeout exception in PI audit logs after sending the request (3 minutes - standard timeout value, no additional config for this). But target system has confirmed that they are sending the response back. We tested from our server OS level and have received the response back in the same screen (to verify there is no firewall/port issue in between the systems). But when tried from RWB, it is always giving the timeout exception and we are not able to see any other log.
We have tried checking in the NWA logs as well after increasing the logging level to ALL for com.sap.aii.adapter.soap. But surprisingly, we didn't get any logs at all for the outgoing SOAP call or incoming response and hence we are unable to trace the issue.
We have setup another synchronous inbound SOAP interface (PI exposing the webservice) and it is working fine. We are also able to trace the logs in both audit log and NWA logs.
Is there anywhere else we can check for the logs? Audit logs is showing timeout error and we are not able to see anything in NWA logs.
Does the target system need to maintain PI credentials in the header when they send the synchronous response back?
Are there any specific settings which should be checked to enable the sync communication? (this should not be the case since the inbound interface is working fine)
    Please help.
    Thanks
    Justin

    Hi Amit,
    Thanks for the reply.
Yes we had tested successfully via SOAP UI as well (forgot to mention that). We are getting back the expected response in SOAP UI without using any credentials. We got the same response when we tested it through OS commands from PI server.
The WS is hosted by the target system and they haven't maintained any credentials at their end. So when PI is trying to access, we don't need to provide any credentials. My question is, whether the target system should keep any credentials to send the synchronous response back to PI (java stack). We have tried that as well but since there aren't any logs, we are unable to verify whether the credentials are coming correctly.
The service interfaces are correct and PI configuration are OK. I will try the XPI inspector for logs as you have suggested.
    Thanks
    Justin

  • Nonce property in WCF custom adapter

    Hello All,
How to configure Nonce property in WCF Custom Adapter in Biztalk.
I have created custom assembly as mentioned in other blogs(http://weblog.west-wind.com/posts/2012/Nov/24/WCF-WSSecurity-and-WSE-Nonce-Authentication), where we can create UsernameToken to specfy it, but how to use it?
I have added it into GAC, but biztalk is not referring it.
Pooja Jagtap Software Engineer KPIT Cummins

    Hi,
You should look into the following articles first:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms731075.aspx
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd203050(v=bts.10).aspx#BKMK_ConsumeWCFSvc
You don't even necessarily need to code a new binding. Using the WCF-Custom adapter, you can choose your binding as customBinding (in the bindings tab of the port configuration), and then specify which binding elements should constitute your binding.
Of course, another workaround is to call a WSE 3.0 service using a developed external assembly in an orchestration.
    Hope the information helps.
    Best regards,
    WenJun

  • Performance issue with a Custom view

    Hi ,
I am pretty new to performance tuning and facing a performance issue with a custom view.
Execution time for view query is good but as soon as I append a where caluse to view query ,the execution time increases.
    Below is the view query:
    CREATE OR REPLACE XXX_INFO_VIEW AS
    SELECT csb.system_id license_id,
    cst.name license_number ,
    csb.system_type_code license_type ,
    csb.attribute3 lac , -- license authorization code
    csb.attribute6 lat , -- license admin token
    csb.attribute12 ols_reg, -- OLS Registration allowed flag
    l.attribute4 license_biz_type ,
    NVL (( SELECT 'Y' l_supp_flag
    FROM csi_item_instances cii,

    AND c.object1_id1 = cii.instance_id||''
    AND cii.instance_status_id IN (3, 510)
    AND cii.system_id = csb.system_id
    AND a.sts_code IN ('SIGNED', 'ACTIVE')
    AND NVL (a.date_terminated, a.end_date) > SYSDATE
    AND ROWNUM < 2), 'N') active_supp_flag,

    AND oklb1.id=oklt.id
    AND OKI.OBJECT1_ID1 =cii.instance_id||''
    AND Oklb1.lse_id=2
    AND oklb1.dnz_chr_id=oklb2.dnz_chr_id
    AND oklb2.lse_id=9
    AND oki.CLE_ID=oklb2.id
    AND cii.system_id=csb.system_id
    AND oklt.LANGUAGE=USERENV ('LANG')) COVERAGE_TYPE
    FROM csi_systems_b csb ,
    csi_systems_tl cst ,
    hz_cust_accounts hca,
    hz_parties hp,
    fnd_lookup_values l
    WHERE csb.system_type_code = l.lookup_code (+)
    AND csb.system_id = cst.system_id
    AND hca.cust_account_id =csb.customer_id
    AND hca.party_id= hp.party_id
    AND cst.language = USERENV ('LANG')
    AND l.lookup_type (+) = 'CSI_SYSTEM_TYPE'
    AND l.language (+) = USERENV ('LANG')
    AND NVL (csb.end_date_active, SYSDATE+1) > SYSDATE)
I have forced an index to avoid Full table scan on OKC_K_LINES_TL and suppressed an index on CSI_item_instances.instance id to make the view query fast.
So when i do select * from XXX_INFO_VIEWit executes in a decent time,But when I try to do
    select * from XXX_INFO_VIEW where active_supp_flag='Y' and coverage_type='1'
    it takes lot of time.
Execution plan is same for both queries in terms of cost but with WHERE clause Number of bytes increases.
    Below are the execution plans:

    Hi,
You should always try using primary index fields, if not possible then secondary index fields.
Even if you cannot do anything from either of the two then try this,
Use Less distinct fields on the top.
In your case , you can use bukrs ,gjahr ,werks on the top in the where condition..then followed by less distinct values..
Even when you use secondary index if you have 4 fields in your sec index and you are using only two fields from the top then the index is useful only upto that two fields provided they are in sequence.

  • Issue with Wcf Adapter Service Template not inclueded or shown in Visual Studio.Follow steps which your site sugessted but still Template issue

    Hi,
My server have SharePoint Server 2013,Sql, then necessary required SDKS like
WCF LOB Adapter SDK(download Complete), Biz talk Adapter for my Sap business suite(download Complete), SAP client libraries,Business Data Catalog Definition Editor installed as part of
the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server2013 SDK.
Still facing issue Template not included in any version of Visual Studio.

    Hi Anand,
While installing the WCF LOB adapter SDK, I guess you haven't chosen "Complete" installation.
    Try this:
    1) Open Add/Remove programs in control panel.
    2) Select the change option WCF LOB adapter SDK and enable 'Tools' in the list of features to be installed
(Tools install the Add adapter service ref Plug-in).
    Alternatively,
You can also uninstall and then install the WCF LOB adapter SDK, but this time make sure you do a custom install by checking everything not just the default.

  • Issues with signal input adaptive filtering, it won't filter the added noise from the input waveform

    Hello,
I have an issue with my adaptive noise cancellation program. Essentially I want to input a custom wav add noise to it and then filter the noise away in order to gain the custom wav again.
While doing so I want to read the learning curve and read the adaptive coefficients. Unfortunately I have an issue when it comes to the filtering of the custom wav+noise. It won't filter the signal at all.
It would be helpful if someone could have a look at it and possibly help me out.
    Thanks!

    Hey Jan,
Thanks for the reply. I am currently using the Adaptive Filter Toolkit in order to obtain those VIs. The VIs which are in use are the LMS Adaptive Filter ones.
I figured there might be an error with the input of the array. This VI requires a DBL Array but it seems like it can not process it.
The "Get Wavefirn Components" works better now but I still have an issue with a time. I put a 9s wav file in but it only computes it in a very short time and I can not play the file while it is computing.
I added the modified program to the attachments.
This program is ought to read a waveform file add noise to it and then use an adaptive filter in order to get the orginal waveform back again and if possible either store or play the final waveform.
    Thanks for your help.

  • IExpenses-12.1.3 Facing Issue with 2 custom text fields on the standard OAF

    Dear All,
We are facing problem where custom text fields on standard OAF page does not retain their values when we traverse back-forth on the OAF page.
Here is the exact issue details
    1) We added 2 text fields(Attribute5 and Attribute6) through personalization on Mileage Line Details Screen(standard OAF page) of iExpenses 12.1.3.
    2) And business requirement is whenever user enters values into these fields, difference of these values is populated in third field which is standard field on that page.
    Issue
When user enters values into above 2 fields, difference is calculated correctly however once he clicks on return page and comes back again on the detail page
then all the standard fields retain their values but 2 custom fields have blank value.
Is there any issue with personalization? or any other issue? Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

    Thanks Pratap for checking
There is button named as "Calculate Amount" on the line details page so it is happening in below 2 scenario
    1) When User enters values in 2 fields and clicks on Calculate Amount Button then values get disappeared from custom fields
    2) When user clicks on return button, go to main page and clicks on detail button ( to come back on same line) then all the standard fields have valuece and custom one's disappeared.
    Thanks,
    Mahesh

  • Issue with HAL essbase adapter

    Hi Experts
I have an issue with HAL,I got the below error when I tried to use essbase adapter, the HAL version is 7
    java.Lang.NoClassDefFoundError
I know this is known error ...most of the forums are telling this is error related to Environment Variables...but I dont know how to fix as I am unaware of this....java..... classes..bla bla bla..
I installed HAL in c drive, Can anyone help me ...how to fix this issue....
    Thank You
    M.S

Go to control panel->system->system properties->advance->environmental variables. You should have something like this "C:\Program Files\Vignette\V7\vbis\Hyperion\EssbaseAdapter" in your classpath variable. Check you installation on your "C:\" drive to get the correct path. Hope this helps.

The first question that needs to be answered is whether the problem is a data storage problem or data presentation problem.
The query below will answer this question.
    SELECT ASCIISTR(greek_column) from greek_table where key_id = <specific_value>;
