Issues in ssl configuration with apache server (using reverse proxy)

Hi,
I am able to use apache server as a reverse proxy to connect to Portal. When I enter the web server url as https://mywebserver.com, I am able to connect to the http url of the Portal. But the moment I try to connect to the https url of Portal with this https url, I am not able to connect to the Portal. Thus I am not able to use apache as a proxy server for https connections it makes. What must I do. I read that mod_proxy_connect needs to be used, but how do I use this?
The second problem is that I need to use more than one kind of mapping.
For example I must be redirected to the Portal even if I use http://webserver.com , or even if I use https://webserver.com or even if I use http://webserver.com/irj or https://webserver.com/irj or http://ipaddress-websserver/irj etc

I have SSLCertificateFile and
and SSLCertificateKeyFile .
My problem is with regard to ssl/CertificateChainFile?
what is this? Also how do I upload my J2EE Certificate into apache.
The problem is with Apache handshake is not happening.
I am forwarding the entire log during . I have put what I consider important in bold. Please have a look.

  • Problems with ESS when using reverse proxy

Hello, we are using an F5 Local Traffic Manager to load balance traffic to a SAP ERP portal.  Everything works just fine, until you click on the Employee Self Service tab.  By default, it should just take you into the employee self service page, but instead it give's you another log in page.  If you try and log in, the server will not let you, because it thinks you are already logged in.  I believe this might be a redirect problem on the ESS side, but wanted to get other opinions first, and work form there to a resolution.
    Thanks,
    -GW

    Hi Timo,
I'm also facing the exact problem, did you find a fix for this? If yes could you please share that with me.

  • Webtogo with Apache Server

    Hi,
I've already installed Oracle Webtogo Server on my machine with Apache server.
My webtogo server runs on 80 port and Apache server on 90 port.
I would like configuring the webtogo module on the Apache server.
I've put the following line in apache's httpd.conf's file:
    LoadModule WTG_Module
    OracleHome\webtogo\bin\wtgapach.dll
    <Location /webtogo>
    SetHandler web-to-go
    </Location>
I've stopped the server and reloaded, but i've gotten this error:
Loaded DSO <dll's path> use plain Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI, please recompile it with -DEAPI.
I don't understand the meaning of RECOMPILE WITH -DEAPI.

  • How to connect to a FTP server using a proxy in a DMZ with XI file adapter?

    Hello,
Want to connect to an ftp server using a proxy in the DMZ. I don't see any standard options in the XI file adapter to use a standard. Is there a workaround?
    I already looked at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=57137
    But it didn't help me.
    Regards,
    Erik van Lisdonk

U can't use FTP over SSH i.e., SFTP. But u may use FTPS by enabling the SSL layer on J2EE of XI. See this

  • Need help on struts configuration with ColdFusion 10 using IIS

We need help on struts configuration with ColdFusion 10 using IIS.
Earlier we were using ColdFusion 8 with IIS 6 for one of our application.  This application internally calls struts. After upgrading to ColdFusion 10 struts calls are not loading. We get 404 error.
In ColdFusion 8 struts were configured using  actions extension .do in IIS from this file-
    C:\ColdFusion8\runtime\lib\wsconfig\jrun_iis6.dll.
But in ColdFusion 10 this file is not present as ColdFusion 10 uses Tomcat in place of Jrun.
Also there is no information in ColdFusion log file.

    1) how can i configure the time capsule in order to operate as a remote base station synchronizing with the relay using the ethernet port?
Configure the Time Capsule to act as a bridge (not distributing IP addresses). Also configure the Time Capsule to create an 802.11n wireless network with a unique network name (SSID). That's it.
    2) how can i avoid that my powerbook while accessing my wireless network does connect through the relay station instead of using the time capsule?
Configure the Time Capsule to use a different network name than the WDS link between the 2 AirPort Express (AX). Configure the PowerBook to use the Time Capsule network.
There are 2 pieces of information that you should be aware of...
    (1) None of the PowerBooks are capable of 802.11n.
    (2) The WDS link cuts your available bandwidth in half. So the wireless link to your neighbor's has a maximum potential of 27 Mbps.
Let's for a minute assume that you have a Mac compatible with 802.11n. In your configuration the time you could take advantage of the 802.11n speed is when the Mac is sending/recieving data directly from/to the Time Capsule.
There would be NO speed increase in Internet access. The speed of Internet access is going to be controlled by the slowest link in the path to the Internet. That is probably the connection to the ISP. The next slowest path is the WDS link to your neighbor's.
    Duane,
I am in a similar situation, sharing internet with my neighbor. Do you think it would be plausible to hook up a vonage phone adapter to time capsule's ethernet port if time capsule is bridging from my neighbor's router in the configuration you have described? A check of my upload speed shows 1.67Mbps (powerbookG4 w/ airport extreme). Vonage reccommends 90kbps minimum upload speed. Am I going to lose some speed putting the Vonag adapter behind time capsule?
    Thank you

  • Why do we use reverse proxy for Oracle RAC Cluster setup

    Hello All,
I got this question lately.. "why do we use reverse proxy for Oracle RAC Cluster setup". I know we use the reverse proxy at Middleware level for multiple security reasons.
    Thanks..

"why do we use reverse proxy for Oracle RAC Cluster setup".
I wouldn't. I wouldn't use a proxy of any sort for the Cluster Interconnect for sure.

  • Configuring HTTP Apache Server with Oracle Apex

    Hi All,
I have trawled through various threads on here to see if it would help my resolve the problem i seem to be having, but to no avail :(
I have an oracle RAC db with apex installed. the RAC uses a service: apextest.com
I have an HTTP Server installed on a seperate server, I have copied the Images over so it knows what to use. Made sure the httpd.conf file is pointing to the correct images path.
As its a RAC db, i have put in the dads.conf file a 'TNSFormat' setting for the 'PlsqlDatabaseConnectString', using the TNSnames.ora entry named DEXTER which uses the apextest.com service name.
    My dads.conf file:
    Alias /i/ "/apex/Apache/Apache/images/"
    AddType text/xml       xbl
    AddType text/x-component       htc
    <Location /pls/apex>
    Order deny,allow

        (CONNECT_DATA =
          (SERVER = DEDICATED)
          (SERVICE_NAME = apextest.com)
)i can tnsping using the apex_public_user account and correct password and also sqlplus using the same account and password:
    tnsping DEXTER
sqlplus apex_public_user/apex_pword@DEXTERim getting the error of:

The error log is spitting out -
    mod_plsql: /pls/apex/apex HTTP-503 ORA-12514Does anyone have any ideas? Anything i've missed out / not done ?
Note: I have used the same HTTP Apache Server to host a version of apex4 on a standalone database which is installed on the same server. So just wondered if that has anything to do with it?
    thanks in advance :)

    Hello,
According to the error ORA-12514, there is a problem for the mod_plsql to connect to the database :
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor
Cause: The listener received a request to establish a connection to a database or other service. The connect descriptor received by the listener specified a service name for a service (usually a database service) that either has not yet dynamically registered with the listener or has not been statically configured for the listener. This may be a temporary condition such as after the listener has started, but before the database instance has registered with the listener.
    Action:
    - Wait a moment and try to connect a second time.
    - Check which services are currently known by the listener by executing: lsnrctl services <listener name>
    - Check that the SERVICE_NAME parameter in the connect descriptor of the net service name used specifies a service known by the listener.
    - If an easy connect naming connect identifier was used, check that the service name specified is a service known by the listener.
    - Check for an event in the listener.log file.
Is the "alias" DEXTER defined in the file tnsnames.ora used by mod_plsql ?

  • Address Book can't synchronize with Exchange server using a domain prefix

I'm having problems attempting to use Address Book's built in "Synchronize with Exchange" feature. The issue seems to be that my company uses domains with their exchange server, so I login with a username like "domain/user" rather than just "user"
iSync finds my server if I just use the "user" login, but the server won't accept the login and I get a failed login error.
When I use the same server with my "domain/user" login I get this error:
"iSync couldn't connect to Exchange. Could not reach the server specified."
It seems that the "domain/" is fooling Address Book into altering the server URL to an invalid address. When I return to the preferences I see that it has changed the URL to http://www.server.com/exchange/domain/user
I've found a bunch of people on the web with this problem, but no solutions. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the exact same problem... worked fine until I did a clean install Last week.
anyone figured out a fix or workaround ?

  • Single Nexus 5548UP- FCoE configuration with multiple server ports

    Hello Everyone,
I am new to Networking so please bear with me.
Here is some background information. We have a SINGLE Nexus 5548 UP switch to which we are connecting both the storage and the UCS C240 M3 servers (with CNA). Both the storage and server has 2 ports each going to this nexus switch.
We want to implement FCoE with this solution.
Below are the steps (for server ports) that I have followed to configure the nexus. But the port not logging into the SAN (no flogi) with the config.
    Enable Features
    config t

Any help in the regard would be highly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    KS

Fixed the issue. "switchport trunk native vlan 6" was causing the issue. Maybe the storage and Servers were not configured with proper VLAN's. I removed the native vlan and everything logged in fine.
Any how I have configured a single zone with all 3 servers pWWN's. I know single initiator zoning is the way to go.
Can you please guide me if I can move these servers in their separate zones without any outages?  If it helps, all severs have 2 pWWN's. The current zoneset is active with that single zone.
Please let me know if you need any additional details.
    Cheers,

  • Facing issue in HSRP configuration with IPV6

    Hi,
i am trying to configure hsrp with ipv6 and all command are running for hsrp excep this command standby 1 ipv6 2001::10/64
and i have also tried  standby 1 ipv6 2001::10, then showing error:- % invalid link-local address.
i have also configred  standby 1 ipv6 autoconfig then hsrp is not running
So i need help kindly help me anyone one this.

    Hi Daljitsinghtagore,
UPDATE:: I found this video from Cisco TAC, this will walk you through configguring IPv6 HSRP. I hope this helps
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/videos/2829
I have never configured IPv6 HSRP, so you will have to bear with me.
But something I do notice off the bat is that you are using the '2001::/64' address space.
Link local addresses are addresses local to that interface and are used to reach neigbors hence the name link local. these addresses beguin with fe80::/10 im pretty sure if you tried fe80::10 as the IPv6 address your router would accept it.
As soon as you run the command ipv6 enable under an interface
    e.g. router(config-if)ipv6 enable. - This enables a eui-64 link local address.
If you then do a 'sh ipv6 interface brief'
you should get an address starting fe80: this is your routers link loal address.
    See below snippet from Cisco
"The purpose of this document is to provide an  understanding of IPv6 Link-local address in a network. A link-local  address is an IPv6 unicast address that can be automatically configured  on any interface using the link-local prefix FE80::/10 (1111 1110 10)  and the interface identifier in the modified EUI-64 format. Link-local  addresses are not necessarily bound to the MAC address (configured in a  EUI-64 format). Link-local addresses can also be manually configured in  the FE80::/10 format using the ipv6 address link-local command.
These addresses refer only to a particular physical link and are used  for addressing on a single link for purposes such as automatic address  configuration and neighbor discovery protocol. Link-local addresses can  be used to reach the neighboring nodes attached to the same link. The  nodes do not need a globally unique address to communicate. Routers will  not forward datagram using link-local addresses. IPv6 routers must not  forward packets that have link-local source or destination addresses to  other links. All IPv6 enabled interfaces have a link-local unicast  address."

I will load up GNS3 later when I have some time to confirm.

  • Connection with SQL Server using DBCO

    Hi,
I want to connect to Misrosoft SQL Server using DBCO transaction. I have given the following fields.
    DB Connection = test
    DBMS = MSS
    User Name = user02
    password = test
    Conn. info = MSSQL_SERVER=tcp:10.100.50.36 MSSQL_DBNAME=New_Wisdom
    permanent selected
    Connection Limit = 5
    Optimum Conns = 2
while executing through the statement as follows,
    EXEC SQL.
    CONNECT :'TEST'
    ENDEXEC.
I am getting the dump ' An SQL error occurred when executing Native SQL.
The error 900 occurred in the current database connection "DEFAULT".' Please suggest me what needs to be added or corrected.

    Hi Benito.
I'm not very familiar with MSS but maybe the following will help a little bit.
Depending on the version of your SAP system you can use the transaction DBACOCKPIT to add connections to non-SAP databases. There is an test connection button in that transaction, too. You will find some information about that transaction in some whitepapers here in the SDN. For example have a look at this one: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/1062428c-f1df-2910-b08f-c322feddcd10
ADBC error 16 is just "something went wrong". Is your SAP system using MSS, too? If not you will need the matching DBSL for it on your SAP system.
If you have set up an connection you can use program ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION to check if everything is ok. If I remember it correctly in case of errors it allows you to jump into the trace file. There you should find some usefull information.
Perhaps asking in the Database&OS forum area (there is a MSS forum) might help, too.
    Best regards,
    Jan
